We had a 6:45 pm reservation last night. Restaurant was not overly busy at all. We were seated to out table right away. The hostess and sever were excellent. Friendly greeting and sever really took the extra effort to accommodate my daughter's dairy and egg allergy. We ordered 3 appetizers. The Caesar salad, Calamari and the Ravioli. The caesar salad was delicious. Had little bits of cured bacon and the the lettuce was roasted a bit to give it a light char flavour. The Calamari was cooked perfectly and the various sauces and little slices of jalapenos gave it a nice kick. The Ravioli was also very good. It was loaded with sea food and the pasta bite was perfect. The creamy sauce was very good with some salmon eggs. After the appetizers the main Entrees took a very long time to get out. We wait over 45 minutes after the appetizers. That is a reason I took a start off cause the food took so long to get out. My half chicken was okay. The legs were very moist but my breast was dry. The mash potatoes were buttery and the green beans gave it some nice crunch. The duck breast was very good. It was cooker perfectly and the flavours were very complex. I had a few bites and I enjoyed it. The Pizza and the Fries were for the kids and it was ok. Fries were a little burnt for my liking. For dessert we had the chocolate pudding. Kids pretty destroyed that. I had one bite and it was very rich in chocolate. Overall it was a very good meal. If the food would have came out faster and my chicken breast was not dry I would have gave this restaurant a higher rating. This restaurant is known for their chicken so to fail on that is a big hit in my books. I think maybe the forced the chicken to cook faster just based off the time it took to come out.

My Fiance and I are new to Bowness and were walking the area only to find my nose leading the way. I'm pregnant at the moment & apparently have the nose of a bloodhound, not to mention a never ending appetite. Let me tell you I was NOt aBLE to be disappointed by deciding to quench my unborn mini humans hunch. Baby was bang on the money! This place was delicious!! Being as I am the more experienced diner I ordered for both my hubby & self. (&the mini unborn) We had the pleasure of trying the brisket sandwich as well as the ahi tuna burger alongside truffle fries. The Ahi Tuna burger was perfectly cooked, fresh and the flavour was unparalleled to any tuna burger I've ever eaten. Truffle fries were crisp and hot & perfectly seasoned and the brisket... ...The brisket was incredible. Great cut of beef, not overly fatty, but rather evenly marbled throughout. The foccacia was the perfect base & the smokey slaw & house made bbq sauce paired perfectly! The over all atmosphere is upscale & trendy, the aroma is drool worthy, and the service was genuinely friendly and prompt. This is not a budget friendly place, BUT I promise the value is excellent. In my opinion it is very reasonably priced given the quality and fair portion sizing. Although we did not indulge dessert or wine, they did have an extensive menu and it is something we will plan for when we visit another time.

Thanks to all the staff at NOtaBLE for their hard work and for creating a nice dining experience. Despite the inviting decor and friendly service, we found the food to be hit and miss. My companions had the roasted chicken, which despite being a just bit over-priced, is always excellent. My spouse had the pea risotto. Not a fan. The flavour was all of undercooked mushy peas. I don’t understand why the chef would choose such an banal profile for risotto when there are dozens of excellent choices. The teeny shrimp (smaller than the peas) might have been a good addition if their presence hadn’t been walked over by the raw-ish peas. I had the burger with added bacon. The combination of brioche bun and piquant toppings had such great potential, but the patty and the bacon were disappointing. The patty was charred to a puck and was thus too dry to release any flavour. Adding to the gnarly texture was the thick-cut bacon, which made the chewing even more of a chore. Bacon on a burger is meant to add smokey and salty undertones without disturbing the texture. So, it should be double-smoked and very thinly sliced. This blah bacon slab lacked punch and had too much munch. Note to self: next time, have the chicken and squint at the bill.

We went to Notable because it was highly recommended. The service was very good. The Alberta Bison Carpaccio was delicious and the Hokkaido Scallops cooked to perfection. After the small plates I was looking forward to the large plates. Unfortunately the lamb sirloin and rotisserie chicken were just ok. The lamb sirloin needed a little more sauce. The bed of risotto was terrible. It was a little too cheesy and it felt like I had to do too much chewing. I believe it was undercooked. The rotisserie chicken was no better than Costco’s. It was dry and missing sauce. What sauce was there was tasty but with all the hype I was expecting more. The best part of the large plates was the vegetables and mashed potatoes. The Black mushroom and wild rice congee was an excellent idea for comfort food. Unfortunately the truffles overwhelmed the bowl. Less is more. The congee would have been perfect without the truffle! The Pineapple Upside Down cake was ok. The lemongrass ice cream was refreshing and different and perhaps should have been marketed as the star! The Banoffee was nothing to write home about. Overall the service and small plates were excellent. Unfortunately the rest were probably 3 out of 5 stars!

I wish I could divide my review for food and service because the food was great, but the service was poor considering the cost of the meal. I went here with my family for a birthday dinner, our server was Justice and he was great for the first half of the meal. We all had drinks, appetizers, and a large plate. The food and drinks are all amazing, we shared the Smoked pork potato rolls, and the Diablo calamari, and for my meal I had the Bison Flank and the Prairie Moon as my drink. After the appetizers were served the service dropped off quite suddenly and we all felt as if drinks were pushed quite hard despite the fact we still had drinks left in our glasses. We were only checked on once in 40 mins and had to wait 15 minutes before boxes were offered for leftovers, 10 minutes for our bill and another 5 for the machine. As it was a birthday dinner and they had directly asked on the reservation if it was an event, we were confused when nothing really happened. The experience was mediocre to poor which was sad because I was very excited to show my family this restaurant that I have liked for years.

This is an awesome place for a celebration, date night, or just a regular night! I have come to NOtaBLE several times over the years and will still plan to dine here. On this occasion, I had the pork potato rolls and the half rotisserie chicken. The potato rolls are interesting and stuffed full with pulled pork. It is a bit heavy as an appetizer and perhaps would be better with a thicker potato layer wrapping the pork. The chicken was flavorful and was tender. The accompanying mashed potatoes are heavy on the garlic (depends if you like this) and the green beans/carrots were cooked well. The veggies can be seasoned a bit too much and can be a bit greasy. The portions are large - you will definitely be full! Not shown in the picture are their cream puffs and cheese cake which can be hit and miss. The pastry of the cream puff is not as light or fluffy as hoped and the cream heavy. The cheese cake was dense and had a strong cheese flavor (this might have been blue cheese) but this part is probably more personal preference.

I have been a regular here for many years, but unfortunately over the last 12 months, service quality has declined significantly. On my last few visits, I watched our drinks sit at the bar for almost 10 minutes and when they arrived, half the ice had melted and they were watered down. They then brought my husbands entree but not mine. The waiter avoided our table for 30 minutes before bringing my dinner, at which point my husband was finished. I get that mistakes and miscommunications happen, but the proper action would have been to notify me of the delay, apologize and keep communication open, not avoid me for half an hour. The manager apologized and said they would mail us a giftcard but that was almost 2 months ago so I assume that is not happening. We went a few more times after this event and continued to experience a variable level of service and food quality. They discontinued one of my favorite items (pulled pork potato rolls) in the latest menu update, which is a real shame. I will say their warm chocolate pudding dessert remains divine.

Notable just made my list for highly recommended dining experiences in Calgary. Everything from the nice greetings at the entrance, the vibin dining space and cool servers, and eclectic Canadian menu options motivated me to leave a review. For starters, the crispy smoked pork potato rolls were as amazing as they sound, and the seasoning of the gaufrette potatoes was evidently addictive as our table polished off the well portioned steak tartare. My half chicken was maybe a tad dry on the breast side- that’s just me being picky- but overall flavor was excellent and I’m genuinely still thinking about that mashed potato bed it was served with. I didn’t partake in the Banoffee dessert but my friends loved the graham cracker ice cream altho commented that the chocolate ganache seemed more for decoration as the taste was underwhelming. Next time if I have room I know I’ll try their cheesecake which I read good things about. Thanks for a great night out and it was nice to support local! Last point: The entire street is free 2 hour parking ftw.

Long awaited visit back to Notable. Took my husband there for his 45th Birthday last Friday. Appetizer awesome Stilton Cheesecake, can't stop talking about it Unfortunately both our mains vegatables we very hard like, just not cooked through, rushed I guess as it was very busy. My potatoes I sent back but by the time I recieved them back at the table , my meal was done. The replacement potatoes were dynamite but again, I was to full to get through and enjoy them. My carrots were hard as well and I wanted to say something but I had sent only one component to the kitchen because I just wanted to keep a positive vibe going I mean, after all, we choose Notable as our celebration destination, it was a birthday My husband said his broccolini, hard as well, Uuughh! $225 later, that's fine, that was the price, but when two out of three components on your plate, vegatables of all things, are not cooked appropriately, I shake my head? We've decided to pass on our old friend Notable going forward.

I was couple of times at this place, everything was good and exclusive, professional stuff, good food, original interior. But my lust dinner was totally ruined: I ordered (today special) and received a plate of rotten meat, sous and vegetables was good, but meat had a terrible taste of death. After I complained about this, manager respond: it’s 30 days aged and not supposed to be ordered “Blue”, must be well done?¡?¡ (why did you let me order it if so) I don’t think that’s the way it must work! They took it off from the bill and even offered dessert on the house. But I just already lost my appetite and preferred to leave, after my guests finished they meal and I paid the bill. Not going back to that place again.

Was really excited to go for our anniversary dinner, but we were very underwhelmed. The service was really good so no problems there, but the food was not worth the money. I ordered a flank steak rare with the potatoes. The steak was bland at one end and had enough salt to fill the Dead Sea at the other end. The potatoes were as tough as shoe leather on the outside and tasted like what I can only describe as a pretzel. Not worth $39 My fiancé ordered the feature tonight which was the Duck with crispy rice and broccoli. The broccoli was burnt to a crisp and the “crispy” rice was mush. The duck was just okay. Not worth $52 Needless to say we were very disappointed and did not order dessert. This place is very over hyped. If you like spending lots on mediocre/ just edible food then this will be your place.

This was tough not to give 5 stars. The food is incredible. Exceeded my expectations. I was here about a year ago and it’s like I remembered. Scallops, potato rolls and steak were mouth watering good. I could have repeated the entire meal again in the same sitting it was so good. The service was 4 Stars. It wasn’t bad, but I guess I expected 5 star service to go with such great food. Drinks were a little slow coming and starter salad came with the meal - we were so engaged in conversation we actually forgot about the starters until they showed up with our main course. Atmosphere - 3 Stars. Tables are way to close together. If you are unfortunate enough to be in certain areas of the restaurant it feels like you are having dinner with 8 other people. We asked to be moved into a booth, which they accommodated. I would go back for sure. Just need to be specific where you want to sit when you are booking he reservation.

Notable consistently provides a high-quality culinary experience. The service is excellent. The food menu provides a variety of amazing and tasty choices. The cocktail menu provides delicious treats, including zero-proof versions. The wine menu is diverse and value-packed. Notable is a top-end dining experience at a reasonable price for what you get.

Good vibe, we reserved a table for 8 people and we had a good time with good food. The Bison burger was good. Well done and the fries with parmesan were delicious. Why not 5 stars then? The waiter who did an excellent job at the beginning was a bit rushed when it came to clearing up. But that must be due to the long hours. As for the price, it is slightly excessive for the menus. I understand that there is inflation but $7 for a lemonade is a bit high. Is this a place to recommend? Yes, are the meals tasteful? Yes, is it an unusual concept? No, unfortunately not. The competition in this field is heavy in Calgary. But we must admit that Notable attracted us by the pun of its name which has a lot of meaning in French, because we are lovers of good food.

Beautiful restaurant. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. The dishes were all quite rich and flavourful, even though the portions looked small the richness made it all very filling. I ordered the duck dish. The duck itself was tasty. It came with sour cherries (unfortunately I already knew I wouldn't like sour cherries) and Foie Gras--my first time experiencing it. Unfortunately I didn't like it either but I'm sure that people who enjoy sour cherries and Foie Gras would have a different opinion. Still, I love duck so I don't regret trying this dish. My friends all really enjoyed the dishes they chose for their main course. Their truffle fries were amazing and the dip it came with worked so well with the fries.

I cannot stress how great this place was! We went out for a friend's birthday and did some appetizers and a meal with drinks. It was my wife and I's first time and we were blown away by everything we tried! Our friends had been before and they still couldn't believe how good it all was. The staff was all so friendly and our server was amazing, very personable and knowledgeable! Would go back again and again just to eat the exact same thing.

Super impressed with our service and food! We made reservations for a birthday dinner. I made sure to indicate that we had specific diets (celiac/gluten free, dairy-free). The server was very knowledgeable on what was allergy friendly. We felt very safe with what we could order. Our meals were impeccable. My friends who are celiac/lactose intolerant ordered a bunch of appetizers and they loved everything. I had the rotisserie special (bison) and it was the most tender bison I’ve ever had. The veggies were well seasoned and tender. My friend ordered the mussels and frites. The portions were huge and so flavourful. Everything was high-quality and well worth the price. Highly recommend for a special night out. We will definitely return!

Was looking for a great keto meal near my hotel and Noteable was only a few blocks away. Traveling alone so sat at the bar near the wood fired rotisserie and grille. Ordered the bison flank and a simple dinner salad with balsamic. Everything was cooked perfectly and watching the pit master was entertaining, that guy was working his tail off as the restaurant was full. Even with the busyness of the restaurant service was top notch. Will definitely eat here again next time I’m passing through Calgary. Nice to feel the heat of the fire and watch the orchestra of the members of the professional open air kitchen create their masterpieces. Not cheap but affordable.

The food was all so delicious! The Rotisserie chicken was to die for! Our server Emily was very attentive and very patient with us as we took our time through each course, she made wonderful suggestions and we loved everything we ate and drank. It was a little noisy when we first came in and that made it a little more difficult to hear each other but as the night went on it became the perfect place to eat and catch up between courses!

No need to look any further for your restaurant search! WOW, this place is incredible. Every bite was perfection. The service was the best I’ve had in a really long time. Came here with my partner and some friends when we were on vacation and it was so worth it. We got multiple steak tartares for the table and it changed my life! It was so gooood, would highly recommend. I got the lamb sirloin and it was so tender and yummy and my partner got the bison and really enjoyed it! If you’re debating between the lamb special or the lamb sirloin, I would definitely recommend the lamb sirloin. Good portion sizes too! Will definitely come back when we visit!

Was there for a private function. The food was fresh and cooked perfect. Appetizer delicious grilled romaine with bacon ceasar dressing reggiano cheese. Main was flank steak was good but not my favorite cut potatoes and broccoli nice. Dessert I chose was Bruleed Stilton Cheese cake with Rhubarb compote and raspberry coulis. Loved dessert. The serving staff were absolutely the best and made the meal so amazing with their constant attention to each guest. Atmosphere was great in private room.

I was there for a large business lunch. I ordered a beef dish, The server brought a chicken dish. I told the server that I ordered a beef dish. She told me no, You ordered the chicken and walked away. I have never had anything like this happen in my life. I was very angry at her response. The only reason I let it go, was the fact that I was with 10+ coworkers and did not want to cause a scene and break my conversation with potential clients. I absolutely blown away that this happened. This was the first time and hopefully the last.

We started our meal with an amazing steak tartare, in my opinion top 3 in Calgary. I had the Alberta lamb with oven roasted vegetables and my girlfriend had the rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes. Her chicken was great, probably the best I’ve had in a long time. The lamb on the other hand was not so amazing and my only hope was the vegetable to save the meal, unfortunately that some how was a disaster. This restaurant is dated, broken and disorganized. Sorry chef notable, hope you can do better.

Very nice ambiance and deco. Service was good. One of the few places where music was not super loud, you could actually have a conversation. Food was alright, we decided to try this place as it was a friends birthday. We heard a bit about this place but unfortunately that night out order wasn’t amazing. It was lacking some flavour. Dessert was alright as well, the combination of a rich créeme brûlée with deep fried mini donuts was odd. I might give it a try again in the future but not in a rush as it didn’t really wowed me.

This was our second visit and not quite as wonderful as the first. Food was good, but service was a little slow and it was a bit awkward trying to chat with the tables feeling so close together. Amazing food !! Go for the chicken! We ordered the tartare as an entrée. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. Then we had half chicken from the rotisserie and it was the best chicken we have ever had, not joking !! My bf is the biggest meat lover on this planet and he confirmed... best chicken in his life! I had the duck ...really really good ! Terry, our server, was very help full and even offer a wine tasting before our selection. The atmosphere was really really nice. Must go if you are in Calgary !

Booked a birthday dinner and called ahead to inquire about items I wasn’t seeing on the menu which used to be there, and received a call back saying that the scallops had just been added back to the menu this week. We shared five small plates and enjoyed everything… sadly no room for dessert! Excellent service from our waiter, with some nice touches. Half price wine bottle too (not sure if that is every Wednesday or special for last night).

It was a testament to the exceptional customer service that enhanced our overall enjoyment of the meal, me and my wife will be returning again soon!

Possibly the biggest feature of this restaurant is the wood fire rotisserie displayed proudly at the front, and that's likely because it produces wonderfully-rich and luxurious flavours. They work in that magic to many entries on the menu, from bread to pasta, and it all works brilliantly. I've been here a few times now, and it's been great for lunch, brunch, or dinner. Great atmosphere and always kind staff. It does get busy, so consider a reservation.

Get the brisket sandwich. It will change your life. My hubs and and I love food and we Love the open kitchen. We sat by the fire on this rainy cold fall day. We had a terrific dinner here. The food was prepared well and delicious. We had a few cocktails that were also done quite well. The timing of everything was perfect and all-in-all, it was a great dinner. The only room for improvement was perhaps the service. It was good, but nothing to write home about. Perhaps a little more personality and enthusiasm. Generally though, highly recommended.

I've had meals there several times and never been disappointed by the quality of their food. The atmosphere and service are casual and friendly. The proportion of their dishes is very generous. It's a bonus that there are lots of street parking spots in the neighbourhood.

Took my girlfriend to dinner for her Birthday and it was nothing short of amazing, the food was delicious and the service was a cut above the rest, was easily the best dining experience I have had in Canada. Will be going back for sure, still many things on the menu we would like to try.

The food served at this NOtaBLE restaurant is amazing! We had a wonderful dinner here and enjoyed all the delicious dishes! Their extensive list of authentic dishes using fresh ingredients is fantastic! Friendly staffs and lovely decor with a nice ambiance when dining in.

so happy and loved them. She has studied flower arranging so I was hopeful they would be to her standard. She said the design and colours are flawless! Thank you for providing wonderful service and an effortless process on top of a fabulous product! Highly recommend :)

The food is really good. I have the New York steak, the brandy peppercorn sauce was delicious. I also requested the fat on the steak to be charred, and it made the tendon even tastier. The service is great as well.

Had a great time celebrating my friend’s birthday. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection, I was very satisfied. One of us had ordered prime rib and it looked fantastic. Would recommend trying their chocolate pudding cake with salted caramel ice cream for dessert.

Terrific service, from the server to the GM. We were always checked up on. Food was great. Tartar was of course fantastic, calamari was good, a little too salty for our tastes buds and I have not had chicken that juicy and cooked to perfection in a long time.

Enjoyed a girls night out with my friend- made reservations of course. The dishes we ordered were delicious & enjoyed our wine pairings.

Food was delicious and service was great. We especially enjoyed the pork belly dish. The kale salad was very fresh and complemented the pork belly dish very well. While the wagyu burger was okay, the lamb was very tender and super tasty!

Had dinner with a few friends here this past June and was surprised! The restaurant doesn't seem like much from the outside but has a beautiful indoor ambiance. I had the lamb sirloin and it was impeccable. It was definitely the right

Truly a top quality experience, service was excellent, and for the quality of food, it was served fairly fast for how busy this place was. Pictured is AAA tenderloin with Parmesan gnocchi, with peas and green beans. This steak was an

A Calgary must-go. Food was amazing, service was the best I’ve had in Calgary since I moved here almost a decade ago. Loved the atmosphere: from the moment we walked in, we were so well taken care of. Our service was quick,

Everything was amazing! Great service, cozy ambiance and the food was soooo tasty. Had the burger (it was perfect) with truffle fries, the wild mushroom gnocchi and the pork potato rolls. Would 1000% recommend

Awesome place, very atmospheric and welcoming. Most of the dishes are sharable so it’s a great experience with a group. Lots of unique flare with the menu, combining lots of things. Friendly and fast service.

First visit, wasn't busy but our waitress was inattentive. There was another that asked if we were ok even if though it wasn't their section, shame they weren't our server. Food was excellent. More

Best unplanned late brunch ever! We were walking in the area when decided to stop for a bite at NOtaBLE. It was almost empty, a could count more staff members then people at the tables!

Big Tell- not super busy. Reason- food is not at the level it should be for the price. My halibut was overcooked super dry.
