"One of the unknown places in the city"
"Hidden jem!! This museum was such a nice surprise to us"
"Very interesting museum when interested in the culture of carpets in Morocco"
"An excellent museum, which most tourists don't seem to visit"
We came across this place by surprise, and it was a great experience. The museum was pretty empty for the most part and the gardens were really lovely. There are beautiful mosaics, and traditional Morrocan fabrics and clothes. We went on a weekday and it was not crowded at all, so I’d highly recommend it if you prefer less busy Gardens. المزيد
One of the unknown places in the city. I would recommend it to visit. The architecture, tiles design and atmosphere are relaxing. The inside fountain gave peaceful and idyllic vibe. There is also a bit of history about carpets inside the museum. The entrance fee is not over-priced like Bahia Palace, Saadier Tombs and el-Badi Palace.
Hidden jem!! This museum was such a nice surprise to us. Cheap and very much interesting! There is a lot to see and learn about the rug and the weaving practice of Berber and Moroccans. The building is astonishing and definitely worth a visit. They even let me go in for free because I visited on the international Woman's Day!
Very interesting museum when interested in the culture of carpets in Morocco. Besides the fact that they had beautiful pieces of art and a lot of information it was also really quiet and empty so definetly worth a visit. The price was good as well (30Dh) compared to other museum in Marrakech.
An excellent museum, which most tourists don't seem to visit. It's mainly about rug making but it's well curated and has plenty of information in English. The garden is also lovely would be worth visiting on it's own if you want a smaller, quieter version of the Secret Garden. المزيد
This museum showed how a lot of the carpets are made and a history in the clothes. There is a very beautiful garden in the middle and the architecture of this museum was amazing! Inside there was a video playing showing the process that the women do in order to make these carpets.
This was one of my favorite museums visited in Marrakech, much more interesting tile work and courtyards than the Bahia Palace. It was nearly empty when I visited, which made it nice to photograph. I had researched quite a bit about carpets … المزيد
The palace was restored a couple of years ago and its atmosphere is very calm. You must pay 30 Dirhams to enter the museum and the palace, but I think it's totally worth it, since most monuments and attractions in Marrakesh cost 70 Dirhams. … المزيد

Honestly the most beautiful museum I have visited in Marrakech. Stunning exposition of carpets and amazing interiors (be sure to check out the ceilings). It is also the cheapest of all museums, ticket is only 30 dirhams.

More to see than you initially think, once you get through the textile section there's a garden and a rooftop with great views of the city. The museum itself has beautiful architectural features as well. المزيد

Worth it for the picture opportunities and relaxed atmosphere. The carpets, attires and other artifacts became of second interest. Overall just ok, but worth the 30 dirham for entry if it's not a lot for you.
Beautiful museum, the building itself has courtyards like the Seceret Garden and rooms like the Bahia Palace, without the same crowds. Tip: free for students on Wednesdays and Fridays. المزيد
Nice quiet place. Lovely architecture. Make sure you go upstairs it's amazing. Shame I didn't get enough photos. Good to learn more about carpets and see different styles from various areas.

The rugs are beautiful and the museum, as palaces in Marrakech do, feels like a fresh surprise. As always, Moroccan people are very willing to help if you look just a bit lost. المزيد
A must see in Marrakesh. The museum has a great exhibit of carpet housed in a beautiful house. The architecture is amazing and you could spend hours looking at the ceillings alone.
