I called for an LED panel light that was out at my business. The office staff that scheduled the appointment was very pleasant and kept in constant communication about the technician's arrival (They are the reason this is not a 1-star review.) The "electrician" that came to troubleshoot the issue refused to get on a ladder and check for power before we agreed to the quote. He didn't check anything! His only solution was to change out the $85 2x2 LED Light panel and quoted $1500 for the job. When I questioned him about why it was so ridiculously expensive, his answer was because he would have to drill 2 holes in the light fixture to mount the new one and if that didn't fix the problem, he would have to trace the power lines and diagnose the problem further. I'm no genius but I thought the $60 they charge for the initial visit was to come out, diagnose the problem and give you an accurate quote. Instead they want to overcharge you for guesswork. Either way, enjoy your $60 and I'll find a real electrician to fix my problem.

Cameron from Mr. Electric was punctual, extremely courteous, thorough, and very professional overall with his work. We had him install a NEMA plug for an EV charger, and he did a fantastic and clean job. He also pointed out a number of issues with the wiring done by a previous electrician and gave us a hassle free quote on the optional repairs if we wanted them. The pricing was more than if we had had a non-certified electrician do things, but with all of the shoddy work he showed us from before, it felt like it was time to have a qualified professional clean up the wiring and prevent any future outages. The calling service from Mr. Electric was always extremely courteous and helpful, an 5* service from start to finish. If you can afford to spend a little extra for a top rated service, I highly recommend Mr. Electric.

I consider myself to be fairly handy, but there's definitely a time and place to call in the professionals. When my wife and I needed some help finalizing electric on a kitchen remodel in our home, we decided the job was best handled by professionals. Mr. Electric was able to get someone to my house the next day to give us a quote, and then return later in the week to complete the job. Called Mr. Electric this morning when some of our lights wouldn't turn on even after resetting the circuits in the circuit box. Technicians Dylon Murphy & Jay Weaver came in just a few hours after the initial call. They were professional, courteous and explained everything that they were doing. After a few hours of the initial testing, there ended up being a bigger issue with a wire, and Dylon and Jay gave/explained to us the potential options to remedy the issue and different costs. The Mr. electric teams was great, from the technicians to the front office. In the summer Texas sun, they were able to get someone out to the house in 30 mins and give me a complete quote as I desperately wanted to get power restored to the house. My super old house with an incredibly old panel needed to have the panel replaced and some placement changes. They got everything done and up to code all in one very hot day. I was impressed at their commitment to stay focused and work at a steady pace despite the fact that it was 104 outside and they were right in the sun. At the end, they made sure I understood what was done, warranty info and ensured i didn't have any other electrical concerns. I would recommend them to anyone in the DFW metroplex.

Beware of the Upsale Super expensive. Got three bids for a project they came in at 5400 dollars and everybody else under 2,000. Parts prices on invoice are 3 times what the prices is a standard home improvement store. Technician attempted to get a ton of stuff replaced rather than using what was in good shape. The electrician told me a list of thing i would have to do to get it up to just passing inspection. I guess he didn’t believe me when I called my friend at the city inspection code office.He told me that the board was in good shape and the only repair needed was to outside masthead wiring. Good thing I did. I’ll won’t even bother to call them on the next three projects I have to do.

We know from past experience that electric work can be a bit pricey especially when the electrician has to install lighting where there are no existing light fixtures. We were super excited about the new customer discount Mr. Electric gave us as first time customers!!! Our technician was professional, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all of our questions without pressuring us to sign on. He did a great job installing our new over-the-bar pendant lighting. The only way to make the experience better would have been to avoid having to have the extra cut out that's covered with the plate but alas, it is what it is. All and all great work and we love the finished product!

The company sends out incompetent technicians. Tried to simply get a quote for a generator install. The tech that came did not understand the job. Gave incorrect information. Never provided even a quote. In trying to get in touch with someone at their office, George Dupont "manager" called me but I tried to call back 5 different times, never answer. WHen finally spoke was less than helpful. When I tried to explain the insanity I had experienced with the company. Became defensive, stated it was being talked about internally and then said they did not want my job. All I ever did was try to get a quote to install a generator. Terrible company. DO NOT USE.

We had the best experience with Mr. Electric and Jayden. It's bad enough to need electrical work or any kind of work on your house, but electrical can be concerning! Jayden made the whole process stress-free and easy. He was kind and smart - definitely knew what he was talking about. He showed us the new electrical panel as well as the outside panel and surge protectors he installed. His brother Jace came with him and both of them were amazing young men. Phil was great... very professional and informative. The team was on time, communicated their arrival times and very responsive. While working in the laundry room they did do some damage to the dryer. They immediately notified me and then discussed how I'd like them to handle it. Since the machine was brand new I asked to get it repaired, which they agreed to. The office has handled things perfectly so far. I own a service company and quite frankly am impressed on how they handled the tough things... like handling the damage. Great job and I will be using them again as I am renovating my house.

I called to get service after 6pm on a Thursday night and spoke with a great receptionist. She dispatched someone to come out for service the very next day and they arrived at 8am. My electrician's name was "Jay". Jay was on time, thorough, answered all of my questions, and even went above and beyond to offer expert advice even though he was there to make an EV charger installation. He was upfront about charges so that nothing came as a surprise. He took the amount of time to complete the job that he said he would. A+. HIGHLY recommend! Painless experience.

I had Mr. Electric hang a couple of very big expensive light fixtures for me. They did an awesome job. Also they were available to come at my first convenient time window - so no long wait time. Kasibu was the installer - super capable and polite. He even went out to buy parts that I was missing for the fixture. He was quick and on time and he did the fixtures with no trouble. One of my living room outlets started making crackling sounds like it was going to erupt in fire. Finally I got my fire extinguisher and used it. Then I called Mr. Electric Dallas and they sent Cash right out! He calmed me. Turned off the power. Identified the problem. Fixed it! Showed me how to turn the power off and on for next time. Our electrician (Chase) was highly professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Great customer service. Explained things well and offered options to install outlet in garage ceiling. Was very easy to schedule appointment and electrician was on time. Pricing was reasonable and did not try to upsell to get more money. I paid $420 for a double 20 circuit breaker replacement to give you an idea of prices. That's with a 10% discount. Eventually found out after the install, the problem wasn't the circuit breaker. Make sure you get a second opinion before going here or be at peace with what you pay and get. They were really quick to respond. My electrician said that he charges $400 per hour with a minimum charge of one hour.
