The Mount Eliza Regional Park preserves a natural section of the six kilometre Mount Eliza escarpment which is a prominent landscape feature visible from a large area of the Mornington Peninsula. The escarpment is listed on the Register of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) as ‘Mt. Eliza – South East Face’. Three vegetation types, ecological vegetation classes or EVCs, are present: - Grassy Woodland plateau and slopes - Herb-rich Foothill Forest sheltered slope - Swamp Scrub Balcombe Creek floodplain

A great green sanctuary right on your doorstep. My favourite is always the quarry. Such great views other down within it or the walk up around the side to the glorious view over the Mornington Peninsula looking out to Western Port Bay. Trails are fairly easy and a mixture of flat and climbing terrain at your disposal.

Great place for a walk or swim. There is a place you can jump from a cliff into the water, but it is about 18m high and only for the fearless or stupid. Definitely ask a local for the location and how to get up there otherwise jumping in the wrong area could be lethal.

Could have some outdoor gym equipment around the circumference of the park as it looks like many people like to exercise here and would benefit from that. Other than that small recommendation it's an excellent park that's well maintained! …

Stopped over after having lunch at Tully's café. Nice listening to the frogs in the pond, however the grass area was very boggy to walk on, obviously from recent down pour and the carpark was dirty with litter and other unhygienic sighting...

Wasn't sure if we were allowed in the quarry or not, there were no signs saying no entry, but a locked gate with large boulders blocking the entrance. Someone has cut and moved wire so you can squeeze through, once inside the quarry is

Such a nice and relaxing place for a walk. The lake was really pretty and the playground was small but quaint. A massive area for dogs to run in ... just wish I had more time to explore more of this park. Will definitely be back.

Great for a walk. If you're brave there is a track with a heap of steps leading up to a great lookout. There's also a lake in the middle but access is closed to the public, but I still see people in there all the time

  • Janene

A lovely way to spend an afternoon. The walking paths aren't sign posted, but with the help of Google maps it was easy enough to make my way around. The old quarry made for a beautiful and peaceful place to visit.

  • Remy Phillips

Great walk along bush area but steep up hill. Needs sign s where we are heading too as we end up in the direction of the steep pathway not helpful with us as we are elderly.we fond there was easier steps .

Peaceful & calming massive grounds. Well kept and maintained. Pet owners are respecting others and the grounds. Great child play area, bbq's and clean long drop toilets with paper and hand wash facility.

  • Tilly Le Faou

Gorgeous park. Lovely walking tracks although they were very muddy and some completely covered in water from the recent downpour. Will come back with family for a picnic when it warms up a bit more.

  • Jaco Geldenhuys

Nice park with great potential, unfortunitly it is not always kept in the best state. That being said if you are looking for a dog park with a lot of space then this is the place to go.

  • Julia Cafiso

It's kind of like the 1000 steps of the peninsula, just without the people. Views are good, but no bay views. Good for giving the legs a work out, took us maybe 30-45 mins return loop

  • Stuart Allen

The quary is a great circuit hike. I've deducted 2 stars due to the invasive weeds. Come on Morninton Council, get your act together and create a weed control plan

  • pramod byanjankar

Anyone who like to walk in wood and slope, this place is perfect for them walking with nature and plenty of evergreen fernplant with beautiful bird singing...

  • Christine Piers

Big walk around moorooduc quarry. Heaps of steps on the way up. Coming down us a little harder ground is somewhat uneven and the steps are different heights

  • Graham REYNOLDS

Very good views to the east towards French Island from walking paths through bushland around an old quarry can be steep &/or rough in places.

  • David Mott

Very busy. Parking hard to get. A lot of water lying in the car park. Gate to train station could have been opened to allow for more parking.

  • Drew Beckwith

Would be a good park if not for all the lonely men waiting around in their cars. The local council don't really care.

  • Huy Nguyen

Beautiful park. Good well maintained playground. Toilet is clean but being self contained it not kids friendly

  • Richard Willis

If you like hills and you either hike or trail run perfect for training. Lots of stairs and amazing views.
