The pier is good don't get me wrong I have no issues there. It would be awesome if the little shop there sold bait it would be a game changer. My issue is that the parking there is ridiculous!! There is an option to pay for parking via an app which I did when I went there. Started paying an hour before the signed time and my ticket ran out 40 minutes after we left. BUT! when I went to leave I got to my car to find that Kingston council had given me a parking ticket of $90!!! I paid and continued to pay my parking via the app that THEY advertise and yet they don't check cars to see if they're paying via the app and then to top it off you can't contest the ticket until 2 days after it's been issued... Probably in the hope people would just pay it lose it or forget about it.. Definitely not impressed by this council.

If you are someone who love calmness, feel the fresh air touching ur skin, like to sit under the sun alone or with partner, not in rush type of person. Visit this place in a morning 6am to 8.30am before it gets too warm and too crowded. Grab a coffee, just sit there. If you have full time job, always thinking abou work. Don't bother, u r not going to feel anything as ur mind is used to work, brain lose wirings to feel the nature. U may not feel anything even if you go better places. It takes time to recover

Beautiful spot to visit and look out to the ocean The joy and laughter of hearing kids playing, swimming & jumping off the pier... has always been a lot of fun!! BUT the Rubbish bins were OVER FLOWING with RUBBISH & needed to be EMPTIED!!, unfortunately the council is too slack to empty them and the place looked ugly and dirty with all the rubbish blowing around and falling out of bins!! Disgusting for a beach area and I wonder what ppl pay their rates for if the council is too slack to empty all the bins at the pier bbq area and near the cafe!!??

Lovely beach area and quite active area. Pier is mostly occupied by people fishing, Walk along the beach is beautiful. Good place to have a picnic, nearby shops and railway station makes it more convenient. On a clear day you can enjoy the sunset and watch big ships pass along. It does get busy and parking can be an issue. Parking area around the beach has ticket parking, there is a lovely playground for kids as well..

Lovely area to spend a pleasant afternoon. Walks along the breakwater and pier checking out the boats and fisherman. Great sandy beach. Toilet facilities, BBQs, kiosk for snacks and shelter on green grassy areas for picnics if it's a bit windy. It is a very popular area on nice days and parking can be difficult and expensive at nearly $4 an hour. Minimum is 1 hour parking, nothing less. Parking officers patrol very regularly so if you haven't paid you WILL get a fine so don't risk it.

This is a beautiful place especially around sunrise and sundown . Mordialloc pier extends 174 metres into Port Phillip Bay and has always maintained a strong following of anglers. The pier has often produced large Snapper and is increasingly becoming a popular location for the angler chasing big snapper from a land-based structure. Large car park, public toilets and a playground for the kids a short distance from the pier. A shopping strip is located about 5 minutes from the car park.

Great place to visit and I believe that a lot of lucky fisherman (and fisher WOMEN ) do catch fish there...yet to try it myself but have the rod and net ready.Would like the company of my friends as it's lonely to go fishing alone . I'm a bit over being a loner...PEOPLE NEED PEOPLE....WE ARE NOT MEANT TO BE ALONE...SO where are my friends? Yes time to re-connect as I've had more than enough time to reflect on my life...now it's ONWARD AND UPWARD !!!!!!!!

Mordialloc pier is a great spot and a very popular beach. It's close to the shops which have plenty of food options and ice cream/ frozen yoghurt shops. A few bars are also very close by. Its not a bad spot for photography. The pier faces in a direction that's not best suited for sunsets unless your on the other side of the creek facing the pier side on. Can't do drone photography here as it's a nfz due to being close the Moorabbin airport.

  • Rt G

Good place to go with children. Place to play around. Nice walking on the Pier. Breezy too You can see a lot of fishing boats and also people with their fishing rods. Even youngsters for that matter. There are places for picnics too. Just that sometimes it's all full I remember it to be in the SE of Melbourne's CBD. Remember having a plateful of Calamari & potato fries. Was windy and chill in December - January 19.

  • Troy K

If you're looking for a typical Victorian beach with nice pier and paved beachside path perfect for a stroll or run, this is the place. Calm waters, not too steep decent into deep water. Clean with heaps of sandy beach area for families to throw out a picnic rug and even volleyball nets! There's also plenty of grassy picnic area right next to it with a short walk to a couple of fish n' chip shops.

  • Hayden McLachlan

Pier is about 80m long. Can fish here. Pretty chilly in autumn, winter and spring nights. There is an area for picnic and has public barbeques. Public toilets at the car park. Free parking after 8pm. But expensive ticket prices otherwise. Busy most of the day in summer time. The pier is located right next to the Marina, and walking distance from Mordialloc main area— Woolies, bars, food, pub, etc.

  • Brenda Seow

Very nice pier. Lots of people come here to fish, walk along the pier, kayak and see the sunset (great place for couples to sit on the rock to see this). There's shops nearby for ice cream, snacks and drinks. Public toilets beside the beach and parking (4.40$ per hour with no limitation). Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed according to regulations.

I had an amazing time at this pier! The picturesque views were breathtaking. The pier offered a great variety of activities, from leisurely walks to fishing. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly people around made the visit even more enjoyable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Used to be my favorite place to go for a walk, But other than the Pier, And walk down to next car park, Or under the bridge, Not a lot here Need a Walking Track Please It is lovely however .. To sit and listen to some tunes, Watch the come in and out, It's Relaxing A walk around the shops isn't to bad either.

  • Hyunbae Jeon

This spot is perfect for cyclists as this is where the actual beach section of the lovely bay trail starts. From here, it's just a nice stretch of flat road with an amazing seaside view. Having the city so far away in sight at first and getting closer and closer until you finally reach it (around 1.5 hours) never gets old.

  • E L

Fishing during the day time on a public holiday may be challenging. Crowds are there and there are much boating activities, children jumping into the sea that may have scared the fishes away. There are many starfishes on the northern side of the pier as I only managed to catch and release 2 starfish on a busy sunny day.

  • Jessica Mac

Beautiful place, plenty of places to eat and have a drink while looking out over water across the pier and lots of little shops to check out down the main street. Great views and relaxed town environment. Was definitely worth the drive out, can also take the ferry around Phillip Island to get a full view of the area.

  • Victor

Such a scenic pier with lots of keen fisherman and in summer a great place to take a dip from. Beautiful sunsets to be enjoyed here. Grab yourself a fish and chips and watch the sun go down! Amazing experience at the pier/beach!

If you live close by. How lucky are you. If you are passing it’s a very nice actually an excellent spot for a stop and reflect. Can’t wait for the upgrade of the sea wall to finish so that the calm can return. So beautiful to see the boats come and go.

I never thought I'd give a pier 5 stars but after seeing a Chinese man throw a fish back, a gross teenage girl in a thong, a typical tanned over 40s topless man you could tell was wealthy, beautiful clear blue water and more rubbish teenagers I have to say this is one pier that really delivered.

  • Marlo Mudge

It was beautiful as always. If you've never been and have kids it the place to go. Theres a really large enclosed grass area where theres a big play ground equipment setup. Something for every kid too! Highly recommend for those with kids. Theres also good fishing off the pier if you like that

  • George Tek

I ride two wheels. I will never visit this pier again. Kingston city council need to up their anti and have dedicated motorcycle parking rather than fine people who courteously leave car spaces for people who may visit and need to park their vehicle with their families and park discreetly.

  • Gina Decapia

Great atmosphere, safe for littler ones in the shadows and still fun enough for short distance boogie boarding. Pier jumping, fishing and summer carnival at Peter Scullin reserve. Amenities on site with 2 min walk to main shops. One of our favorites within Melbourne region ️

  • Jo-Anne Russell

Mordialloc Pier is popular for a stroll, the view and for fishing. Plenty of amenities nearby - estuary with marina, beach, coastal walk paths, very good children's playground with picnic/BBQ facilities and toilets, kiosk, cafes and restaurants. Also; Mordialloc Shops close by.

  • Swisin Budiman

Facilities around piers are good compared to many piers in Melbourne, as it's have a garden like around the entrance, so toilet and bbq place are provided. Plus, it is also a good spot for fishing, don't forget to provide a recreational fishing license before you go!!

  • Rosemarie Moore

Stopped here for a look around it's very pretty with plenty of people fishing. Also popular with small boats going out fishing. There are clean toilets there. Good parking.

Mordy Pier is a lovely spot. You can wander down the pier and check out the fishermen's catches or watch the boats entering and leaving the creek. The view of the bay is wonderful, and the sunsets are magical. Perfect all year round for a visit.

  • Jak Grimm

Great place for a shallow scuba dive. Lots of rocky area close to shore, with orange nudi's towards the end of the pier around the old pylon stumps. Try it! Even picked up some rubbish and an old soft drink bottle, with the marble in the neck.

  • Joanne Surman

Full of fishermen and rubbish. Took home an empty bottle of water from a kid that was about to kick out into the sea. Always fishing mess about. Not pleasant

Nicely set out beach with many stones which gave off a beautiful scenery by the sand and water. Almost felt like I was site seeing as there were trees nicely laid out. Every corner you turn there is always something new. Beautiful place

Lovely pier, great place to go for a picnic on the beach on a warm evening. Lots of people fishing off the pier. Beach is clean and it's just a short stroll up to the main Street to the ice cream shops for a cold gelato …

  • Nashaat Mikhail

First time I visited clean beach people are happy with a beautiful weather at that day Really enjoy and many pizza place surrounded it ...have a chance to grab one cooked in a wooden oven ...delicious and what do you need more

  • NR Anderson

Plenty of paid parking options as well as ample public transportation with toilet facilities, playground, grassy areas, sandy beaches, beach showers, cafes and fishing areas. A really lovely public facility for all to enjoy.

Nice little pier but don’t be fooled by the pictures, it gets real windy and cool. Nice picturesque walk, maybe 200m in length. Halfway to the pier there’s a little bench with cover if you wish to sit. Great views.

  • chris wong

Good to go, a cafe next to the shore, toilet has shower equip and baby change available. Sad is bit rough and big wave the day we went there. Just can play sand pit. But to have picnic there when it’s sunny though.

  • Margaret Sztyk

I love this place for last 28 years, but I would love to relax and walk here with my dog, like before. Not to avoid pier because people not allow to walk here with dog, and think about fines from Kingston Council.

  • Prasuk Jain

Thought this was a family place but no dogs allowed. This is really bad as most places allow dogs on leash. So glad i didnt purchase my house near this and sadly we wont be coming here again for family outing.

  • Garry Vogelsang

Fond memories of fishing for flathead here as a young kid. The fishing nowadays is nowhere near as good, but still a good place for the young ones, and grown ups, to get out of the house for a few hours.

  • Geetika Sachdeva

It’s a nice hangout place. People were fishing here at the wooden bridge and it was a lovely experience seeing them.

Awesome place, though it may be a little lacking. You can fish, relax and whatever, and Akari see sting rays sometimes. The rail is quite bad though. Be careful not to fall off the pier.

  • Christos Dimopoulos

Nice place for a walk up and down. Very busy if you want to fish. You will tangling lines with the fisho next to you. Saw someone get some small snapper. Great place to watch the sunset

A beautiful pier on Port Phillip Bay. There is a small take away shop for a quick snack. The pier and water is lazy and calm. Love it! P.S. No dogs allowed any more.

  • David Chew

A short break here on the way south to Mornington. And to use the toilet nearby.. enjoyed the short walk to move our legs and get out of the car for a while…nice!!

  • Alireza Bahramzadeh (Ali)

It doesn’t feel like a normal beach. Mostly quiet and the water is muddy. If you after beautiful Crystal blue water beaches in Melbourne, try Sandringham or Kilda

Very clean and quiet beach. You have to pay for parking but it's super cheap and worth it in the long run. (parking meters take cash and eftpos. it's around $3)

Lovely beach. Close to great selection of shops. Outdoor eating areas. The pier is popular with swimmers and fishermen. Though I have never fished here myself.
