Excellent: sensitive skin and pregnancy. As someone with horribly sensitive skin, I have had my fair share of poor waxes. I regularly suffer from peeling, bruising and irritated skin. I have therefore avoided waxing and shaving for most of my pregnancy as the only wax I had left me with rash and thickened skin for months - not to mention the pain during the wax itself. However, with a special occasion coming up that involved baring my underarms, I decided to try once again. I found Lucy - Moon and Stars Beauty Therapy - through google, saw her ratings and mention of sensitive skin and decided to try my luck. I filled out the booking form mentioning my skin issues and about being 36 weeks pregnant. She called me back a few hours later and went through everything in great detail which I found really reassuring. I didn’t realise that this was a home salon which may have put me off - as I am generally more comfortable on ‘neutral’ ground. However, I am so so glad that I trusted my instincts and went to the appointment. The room was a designated therapy room, much nicer than the average salon, and Lucy was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely professional. The wax (Brazilian, underarm, leg and eyebrows) was as painless as I have ever experienced and apart from a little redness for the first few hours, I have had no skin, bruising or peeling issues. I couldn’t recommend this place more and will definitely be going back.

Came to the salon today having booked in for a men’s facial and also the head massage. This was the first time I had ever had either treatment, with Lucy or otherwise, and I totally underrated how beneficial I might find them, having always opted for a full body massage instead previously. Lucy is very welcoming, knowledgeable and very good at what she does. My skin feels great tonight but moreover I went in with a lot of tension in my jaw and neck this morning and feel so much more relaxed now. Would recommend 100% and will definitely return. Danny

The facial I received was tailored to my skin's needs and the whole treatment was very pleasant and relaxing. Lucy has also very patiently explained to me what products should I use and why, and answered all my questions. She also sent me an email with all the recommendations. If you're looking for a beauty therapist with real passion and knowledge, you should definitely visit this place.

Lucy is an amazing at what she does. My first time getting a Hollywood wax and although fairly painful I had a really good first experience. It actually hurt less than when I got a bikini line wax from a previous salon which for me was a bad experience. She works really quickly and speaks throughout the whole process which is a lovely quality. Her salon is clean and equipped. She offers advice and a full consultation before she begins to do anything which shows how professional she is. Would highly recommend! I will be returning.

Lucy Was amazing! It was my first time getting Brazilian wax after years of shaving. I was so nervous and took my sister with me. She was really nice and we had a conversation throughout to take my mind off. The waxing itself was surprisingly-almost-pain free! I usually get my underarmwaxed and that's painful, But this was less painful than getting my underarms done. She was professional and knew what she was doing. I couldn't recommend her highly enough!!!! I'll be using her as my frequent wax lady.

I wanted to treat myself and enjoyed the whole experience ! Lucy was very attentive: listened to my history and my requirements. The treatment room is small but cosy , immaculately clean and the treatment bed was extremely comfortable . Although I had never heard of the products, the facial was lovely. If I could give a zero I would! I was given a gift voucher to use here. I have tried approximately 10x to call Lucy over the last month. No one picks up the phone and Lucy rarely replies to text messages. I managed to get one appointment booked which was then cancelled as Lucy had covid but she has since not returned my calls and messages. I have requested a refund for the gift voucher but this was also ignored! Totally unprofessional and basically theft! Bindiya

Absolutely amazing experience each time I've been. Lucy and her team are very professional and knowledgeable about the treatments and how your skin might react. Every session is personalised and tailor-made to suit each person's skin type. So glad I discovered this little gem of a place. I leave with smooth, silky skin after every visit thanks to the high quality products and excellent technique. Looking forward to trying out lots more treatments, too.

I go to Moon and Stars Beauty Therapy for hot wax hair removal. Lucy is great, she's so friendly that it feels more like a catch up with a friend rather than a waxing appointment! She's also very knowledgeable in what she does and very professional. Her prices are competitive, and well worth it for the service you get. The treatment room is comfortable and homely. I can't recommend Lucy and Moon and stars beauty enough!

Excellent customer service. I arrived early, but that was not a problem. I got the impression that Lucy was a professional and knew what she was doing. She was so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable from the moment I entered the salon. She sat me down and explained how it worked, and the treatment was done very neatly. Lucy is a wonderful therapist and I felt really taken care of. It was my first Bikini wax and I was apprehensive about pain, discomfort and feeling self conscious. Lucy immediately put me at my ease. Such an amazing experience!! I got a hot wax and was expecting a painful 1/2 hour however I was pleasantly surprised and so happy with the results. Also: NOT EVERYONE HAS FRIGGIN’ PAYPAL! I tried to find last night how can I pay the full treatment online and could not find it. Then I was working. Unacceptable.

Visited Lucy for a facial recently. It was a truly luxurious experience. The consultation beforehand was thorough and bespoke so I was delighted with this. The facial was the best I've had and my skin felt completely rejuvenated. All in all, I was there for 90 minutes so totally worth it. I'll be returning. Thanks Lucy!
