Mitcham Shopping Centre is a nice local community it have pretty much everything you may need in the one place. For your grocery shopping all in one friendly district/mall. From your Asian grocery, to your pets, anything you need for the pantry at Cole supermarket, or you may want some reading materials you can visit the local newsagents or maybe you're feeling lucky get yourself a lotto ticket. There's many other small business around the area, you can come down on a sunny day during noon and get yourself a cake and coffee at one of many Cafe's you can visit to have lunch or meet a friend.

If you want food and you live near Mitcham I recommend you have a wander along this strip. Both side of the road too! The eateries along here are value for money and always producing delicious food. Check out the Wendy's Bakery for everything from croissants to sandwiches and rolls( oh yeah...sweets too!). Mhin Long...top shelf! Mitcham Noodle Bar.....yum! Mad Patties....get it into ya! Jumbo Kebabs(hidden just down Mitcham Rd on the railway side)...always open and always satisfying. Check this strip out.

I used to live locally to Mithcham many decades ago. Its still as beautiful as it was. Business's have sprung up on Maroondah highway which makes the area compact and easy to walk or drive for shopping. The buses run in all direction to get to the local stations. The freeway is quick to get onto. The great place to live for the new gen who need to get to the city or use the freeway for quick transport. In Mitcham everything is 10 mins away

It is a good for local use with some professional suites plus some retailers. The walk-through mall along towards Coles and the pet shop is quaint perfect for local patronage. The retail shops opposite Coles have been a tenant problem from the very beginning and that is its downfall. Overall I am neither for for against this strip call as you cannot call this a shopping centre but for local usage it has some heritage and individuality.

Good set of shops. Plenty of parking, although the undercover parking can be a bit tight. Several options for breakfast, lunch (indoors and out), dinner or a drink, as well as doing a weekly shop. The shopping centre as a whole still has potential to improve and the council has been investing in the area which has visibly improved the area. The covered walkway outside Coles could do with a clean which would let more light in.

  • Nadia Fedorenko

I find it very easy to park at Brittania Mall and the undercover parking is a bonus in the hot weather . Easy shopping at the coles supermarket, a good $2 shop, public toilets a bonus , some nice looking coffee shop cafes with outdoor seating to the mall that I am yet to try. I heard the Dark Horse cafe has very good coffee and it seems very popular. Quite a small mall but it leads to more shops on Whitehorse Rd.

Very handy for Asian oriented food and groceries. All clustered in the same spot. The butcher shop is good too provided you know how to navigate the "rude, abrasive" attitude of the staff (I can never understand why but just get the nice steaks and quail then get out, ha ha). The Coles in Micham is huge and the most well stocked store I have seen so far in Melbourne.

Used to live here. Not terribly exciting once you live in Brighton or Sandringham. Bit scungey ... no class but plenty of coffee shops and you can sit outside food mediocre. Old stamling ground but without husband .... drab dreary and lonely.. full of memories but my Late husband too cultured to like. He preferred surrey hills or balwyn.or carlton...

  • Debi Slinger

Nice little collection of shops with Coles being at the centre. Spread across both sides of Whitehorse Road, the north side is the cosier side while the south side is more for business and access to the railway line. Excellent little places to eat here and all being one one level means it's wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking.

  • Vanilla Ice

It's a fantastic shopping centre. A vast arrange of shops , cafes and attractions to visit. Nearby a good pub , that could improve In terms of reducing price of drinks. The shops are clean ... and seem to be well managed. Swift as a Suzuki swift and much better than Croydon shopping centre.. completely bananas and strawberries.

  • Yarra Ranges

Mostly strip shopping with a number of Asian grocery, butcher and restaurants. A Coles supermarket off Mitcham Road behind the strip shopping along Maroondah Hwy. A large Petstock store and further along the highway an Anytime Fitness gym, formal wear hire, and a variety of other stores. Mitcham Hotel at the intersection.

  • Mei Yew

Located at the junction between Whitehorse Rd and Mitcham Rd, Mitcham Shopping Centre offers strip shopping area. It still small and personal. Parking is good. There is a row of cafes at the mall next to Coles. Modern cuisine and good coffees. There is a good mix of retail and services at the commercial area.

  • Pam

The independent Fruit & Vege Shop opposite Coles is brilliant, stocking a range of local produce to complement imports. Always too quality products. These are the people we need to support! Nice coffees to be had in Britannia Mall while the Monkey Faces in Wendy's Bakery around the corner are pretty good too.

  • Frank S

Small local shopping strip on either side of Whitehorse Rd. Pretty much all you need is here for a shop although it can be a pain having to cross over very busy Whitehorse Rd to let's say post a letter at the Post Office, or do some banking and then have to cross back to where you parked.

  • Donald Taylor

Because of the big 4 Banks continuing to close ATMs, coming from Ringwood late at night the first Westpac branch heading to the city is at Mitcham, and because it's on a corner there's no parking. We're all pawns in a world where "Customer Service"is always promised but never delivered.

  • Sanjeev J

Some shops provide very good options. I loved it at the start. But lately they need to get rid of those drunken or mentally challenged folks out of the area hanging. Need more breakfast bar and coffee shops. I still like this place in summer to grab a meal or enjoy a coffee.

  • Madeleine Griffin-Lucey

This is my local shops. I think it's really good especially with the fresh fruit and veg shop. A butcher would be a great addition to is as well. The cafes are always a hit and I especially love miss pollys the food and the staff are amazing and food comes out fast.

  • Russell Costello

This an older shopping centre on a major intersection that has been redeveloped to include a Coles supermarket, multi-level car park and other shops. Finding a car park was easy. I only went to the supermarket but there are lots of interesting shops and businesses.

  • B Tee

The supermarket is bigger than it initially looks and is pretty good . Heaps of parking around the back in the multi story car park. The set up is awful. Very uninviting entrance, like it was an after thought, feel like your walking down a back alley

  • Kevin Sullivan

Went to MINH LONG Vietnamese restaurant in Mitcham today - the food was fantastic, as usual. Very impressed with the way we were asked to QR and proof of double vaccination. Also saw a couple of people turned away when they couldn't prove. WELL DONE.

  • kirstie Haddock

It has it all! Great food and coffee choices, hair and nail salon... Coles, and a sneaky coffee shop opposite hiding (just for the locals), under cover parking, gym, takeaway food shops, grocers x 3! Pet shops, and everything else in-between.

  • Joseph Lunandi

Went to Coles for the half price oatmilk, it was empty and no one in the shop was helpful enough to assist. One said, there are many other oatmilk you can choose . Hmmm. The other said, sorry only what in shelves. Very bad customer service.

  • Bradley Stevens

Nice selection of well priced food including thai vietnamese burgers pizza cafes and pretty much everything else . Also has a coles and some pet supply store. But the best bit is the beer shop with an amazing variety to choose from.

  • Matt Schenkel

Britannia Mall (aka Mitcham Shopping Centre) on a nice day is a great option for brunch or lunch. Heaps of cafes and a restaurant or two between Whitehorse Rd and Coles. Project Black is a must if you're after a coffee.

  • Peter Sweet

One of the most convivial shopping precints in Melbourne with a clutch of Cafe Bars in the main square that rival any of the trendier Cafe Bars in the city. Also has one of the best Salvo stores I've ever visited.

  • Adrian Hum

Suburban shopping centers are either good, or they are full of empty shells that are for lease for years and years. Mitcham falls into the former. The sellers and shop owners are friendly and happy to assist you.

  • Richard Yoon

Little outdated but has lots of good shops in this shopping town including Coles supermarket, 3 Asian groceries including KT Korean grocery store. Number of nice Asian restaurant you don't want to miss out

  • Maryam Barati

Not much of a shopping centre but the little area of cafes in a pedestrian zone and proximity to few shops and resurants and the Holiday park will make it a nice local shopping and socialising place

  • Aidan O'Connor

I remember renting videos here and I don't remember all these lovely cafes, restaurants and ace pub & bottlo being here. Walkways and public space have been improved too. Chill vibes.

  • Ella Burkett

I am totally new to the area and found this shopping centre terrible. I couldn't find the entrance to Coles. No signs to help me out. Would travel out of my way to avoid going here

  • Swaveck Kller

Don't buy quilton bad chemical toilet paper pulp imported from Indonesia. Buy new Sorbant product, new high quality paper made in Box Hill with Handy Ultra and Libra. Buy local.

  • Ruth Oakley

Some great cafes and restaurants in this little mall. Plenty of parking. Also a Coles and other specialty shops. Public toilets are clean. There's usually a good busker too.

  • darren wierzbowski

Got everything, coles, $2 shop, great green grocer store w dairy bell ice cream, hairdressers, banks, post office & good cafes. Check out project black, awesome coffee

  • Janine Kir

There are some useful shops here but nothing inspiring at all. Its not a fun place, just a practical place to shop. Supermarket, green grocer, a couple of restaurants.

  • John Counsel

Mitcham Shopping Centre is one of those suburban strip centres that seems to have grown in very ad hoc fashion, yet still retains a special charm and unique character.

  • Peiching Kuan

Convenient shopping center, easy to get parking, just park next to coles, and you get everything there, vietnamese, japanese sushi, malaysian food, cafes etc. Love it

  • Theo Sarris

Alot of people I know will avoid this area once the sun goes down and lights get switched off. Public drunkenness and beggers are common. Security needs to be hired.

  • Ahmereen H. Rogers

For years coming here .. has all amenities, restrooms, cafes, pet shop, butcher Coles, hair salon, nail salon... Many more .. great weekend morning breakfast places

  • Mr J Mal

As shopping centres go it's pretty average. But there are some gems to be found. And situated very close to the train station makes it an easy stop.

  • Jason Walls

This was a genuine surprise find. If you're in the area stop by, there are some really surprisingly great little stores. Great coffee. Great food!

  • Shuey Lim

Lots of parking available. Good coffee shops, grocery shops, restaurants, pharmacy, cafes, butcher etc all within walking distance.

It has a coles but is small and the shops are fairly disconnected from each other. There is no real shopping strip identity here.
