My 1985 Mercedes 300 SD was hit in the rear while parked by an other car, pushing it about 30 ft into garbage cans with parking brake on. 3 days prior to this I got the car back from another shop who did a complete transmission overhaul. I asked, based where the car was and what I read on the internet Minsky (with whom I never dealt before) to do a general inspection of the car, having concerns about the transmission and may be the engine. They found a long list of issues which my normal Mercedes shop I used over 20 years never told me. Had front steering done, new shocks fitted, rebuilt starter motor installed fuel lines at injectors replaced and wheels aligned. Cost for all was $4850, with a couple of other items scheduled to be done in the future. Drove this 36 year old car as hard as I could yesterday over 800 miles, with speeds of 110 mph on straights at outside temp's of over 36 degrees C and AC on! no overheating or any other issue! Can't get better than that. Still have to address the body damage the other car left, which nobody in the US wanted to do.

I am a regular customer and I am really disappointed about my recent services from them. They were totally unprofessional and overcharged for the oil changes and filter change which was more than the Mercedes dealer. They have charged over 30% for service A as compared to the same service done just last year from them and charged $80 labor for simple air filter change which is far more than what the dealers charge. Also they charged $120 to do simple trouble shoot on the electrical system which the dealers do not charge at all and was going to charge over $800 to fix something that there was no problem at all. It is disappointing that they will screw their loyal customers like this. It is not about money but the principles. I will not return to them again and will tell all my friends and associates about their fraudulent practice.

I found them on Google and called yesterday on my day off to see if I could get in for a few noise issues on my BMW 335i and they were able to accommodate and inspected my vehicle immediately upon arrival. Showed me on the spot what was the problem, found the cause of another noise issue that my regular mechanic and BMW Encinitas could not even find on 3 occasions. Fix both of those problems and changed headlight that I needed done all in one visit. When I picked it up, they even test drove it with me for 10 minutes to see if I'm ok with the noise reduction. Their prices were very fair, professional and competent people. I am satisfied and will be taking my Mercedes here as well.

Great service with no hassle price quotes. For those who are complaining about being over charged, how is that possible?!? You are given a price quote ahead of time. You can also call other shops and price them before you proceed with Minskys service. Not only does this shop have competitive pricing but they were very knowledgeable in the vehicles the work on. They also informed me of other issues with my vehicle and gave me no-hassle pricing options. I was already aware of these issues, so it's good to know they are honest as well. I only take my mercedes to the dealer but this place does they job better and at a better rate. Thank you.

I would not recommend taking your car here if you value your money. They have the highest labor rate ($125) of any BMW place I've seen or called and they over estimate the time it will take to do a job. They also charge an additional $120 for looking at the car and don't credit that towards work they then do (as many places will.) I was charged $1350 for what another BMW specialist said should have cost $800. Then they wanted me to do another $2800 in repairs which I declined. They do seem to know BMWs and I have to trust that I needed fixed what they did fix, but I wish I had gone somewhere else and saved some money.

I could not get a routine maintenance service with the Mercedes-Benz of SD due to a strike, so I looked for other places that work on German cars. Minsky Mercedes & BMW came up and had good reviews so I decided to try them out. I was able to get an appointment and a courtesy phone call from them. The price they charged was fair, and service was wonderful. The owner, Mr. Nguyen, spent time to explain to me what were done and his recommendations for future visits. I will bring my wife's BMW to Minsky for services also and will surely recommend this place.

Called in the morning for an appointment to replace my battery. Binh told me to come by anytime that morning. Came in at 11AM and they had a brand new, genuine Mini battery changed in an hour. While I was there, I asked Binh to give me an estimate for a 60K service. What he quoted was significantly less than what another Mini shop quoted-Binh's quote was also detailed (the other shop did not provide me details on what we would be included in the service). Super happy with Minsky's service!!

They will overcharge for irrelevant problems. They are thieves operating a car repair shop. They should be shut down. I was charged $600 for a valve they never replaced and the problem got worse. Do not go here!!!! Be warned.. Other favorable ratings are lies and from relatives or friends. I wish there was a 0 rating!! They care! My trusty 2000 C230K left me on the side of the highway and I brought it to Minksy. They diagnosed my car and let me know exactly what was wrong, I had a chance to chat with Minh when I picked it up which was a pleasure. He is extremely knowledgeable and he cares, thats rare these days. The entire family there is wonderful! Im going back to service my transmission, my car has 314,460 MILES ON IT and drives awesome! He will have my business and referrals! My car drives BETTER!

I brought them my recently purchased 2004 BMW 645ci for diagnostic. The iDrive was warning of the engine overheating, oile temperature gauge fluctuating all over the place causing the vehicle to go into limp mode. They determined the problem was the oil pressure/temperature sensor by late afternoon and made the repair the following day. Since picking up my car the problem has been resolved and I'm very happy with the service received! Thank You Minskys!

I am a returning customer. My issue was an oil leak from the valve cover gasket on my 2014 BMW N55 engine. I was provided a verbal, then a written estimate. (I viewed the complicated and time consuming gasket replacement to understand why the cost would be as estimated). The vehicle was repaired and ready for pick up, as they promised. They warrantee the repair for two years. I have had two good experiences with Minskly.

Experiencing the same issue—this place tends to overcharge for parts and misleads customers with inconsistent pricing. My 1-star review from over a year ago was mysteriously deleted. The owners seem like typical scam artists, eager to make a quick buck at the expense of trusting customers. I'd recommend checking out B&B AutoHaus or any other alternative for a more reliable and transparent service.

Took my car here today to do an oil change and not only the service was fast and great but the owner did not cut any corners at all. I was able to save a few hundred bucks compared to the dealerships. Bring your Mercedes or bmw here if you would like to get it repaired or serviced for way less than an arm and a leg that the dealership would charge you. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for an honest mechanic. I went in for a diagnostic, and I was gearing up for the worst. He called and told me he was able to tighten a bolt on my tie Rod, and didn’t charge me any more. Great company and great people! I’ve been here three times for repairs and they are always very helpful and they take care of the problem fast. Great company!

Got service A done and was done in a timely fashion and a reasonable/cheaper price from dealer. Got brake pads and rotors done as well, was done on a Saturday and no problems either. Will keep coming back here. Binh seems to know everything and is very helpful and explains what is recommended. Btw, I am not a relative and have been here several times and have had no problems.

They replaced my battery when three other shops were nervous due to computer programming after installing a new battery in this newer model. Mercedes service workers were on staff so they were my last best option. Without an appt in advance they got me in and drove me a short distance to work. They finished the job by 2pm, professional and knowledgeable throughout.

They don't let u no that the diagnosis price of 160 does not go towards ur bill and they over charge u for parts and if u wana get ur own part they get offended and tell u they won't warrant they were mad and tried to say it was rong part when it wasn't very persistent and aggressive with explaining will never recommend them to no one bad customer service

Minsk’s is always honest about what needs to be done to on my car, and takes the time to explain why. Several times in the past they took the route to truly diagnose and fix a problem, rather than just throw expensive parts at it, as some service centers might. Been going there for about 7 years now and will continue to do so as long as I have a bmw.

I drove to this auto repair shop out of desperation because my car died on a Saturday, but I am SO glad to have found this place. They welcomed me right away and were so kind throughout the repair process. They even worked through their lunch to make sure I could get my car back the same day. I will return for all my car servicing. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience. My check engine light was on. The text quickly found that I had a pinhole in my intake manifold. They replaced the part in one day and gave me the old part. Best experience I’ve had with Mercedes Benz technicians by far. Great job! I’ll definitely return for any mechanical work in the future.
