I had never been here before but they were recommended by my neighbor so I went. I told Luis that my check engine light goes on and i knew that in my car it could only be tested while the light was on. He said to bring it by the next morning. I drove it for 20 minutes to get the light on and then took it in and he said that he was busy with other cars and couldn't look at it and to just park it. Why he didn't realize that would be the case, and I wasted time and gas driving the car to activate the light I don't know, since it presumably to be re-driven to activate the light again for them to look at. He said he would get to it in about 2 hours and call me. Seven hours later I still had not heard from them. When I called, they were in the process of working on the car, which I had not authorized. I just wanted the code for the check engine light. When I explained that to them, they did say that they would stop working on the car and put everything back and not charge me, so that's why they're getting 2 stars instead of one. Just a question of bad communication. Some places will diagnose a car for free and then let you know how much it's going to cost and see if you want to repair. Other places will diagnose it for a fee but then apply that toward the repair if you get it done there. These guys charge to diagnose and then even if you get it repaired there you still have to pay that extra $80 diagnostic. Just so you know what you're in for.

I’m still dealing with the disaster they did to my car. Took it in to replace the shocks and struts and I think it was too complicated for them. It took them nearly two weeks and my wheel ended up rubbing the frame. They told me it was because my tires were too big. Why didn’t it rub the frame before? They finally admitted they put on the wrong size. Two more weeks. Doesn’t rub the frame anymore but every time I go over a bump it hits the wheel well and the mud cover under the wheels are destroyed. My mud flap ended up breaking off going over a speed bump. My alignment is wrecked and it rides worse than ever. If I hadn’t moved away I’d be back again for them to do the job correctly on the third try. Run from these guys for anything more than an oil change.

This is a wonderful little family-owned business. Luis and his crew really know what they're doing and won't rip you off. I've taken my 26 year old car in many times for maintenance or repairs and almost always am charged significantly less than I've been quoted anywhere else. Luis is always honest with me and works with me to help me save money. If I had one criticism, it would be that their hours aren't always consistent. I recommend calling to make sure that they're open if you're not already in the neighborhood, and they don't usually take appointments. It's first come, first serve. I 100% recommend these guys though! I can't imagine taking my car anywhere else.

I’ve never felt compelled to write a review before but I had to this time. These people are amazing! I went there first for an oil change and it was fast and extremely affordable. I decided to go again when my Prius hit a piece of metal that became lodged underneath the car. When they called to tell me it was done I asked how much I owed them and they said nothing! These guys took their time and had to lift the car and get the metal from underneath and yet said I owed them nothing. I’m going to use this small business for all my future car needs. Highly recommend!

I’ve been taking my cars here for years since the mid 1990’s when Miguel worked this shop. He actually sold me a car that got me back and forth to college. His son Louis runs the shop now and I have to say that Louis’s quality of workmanship and customer service is just as good if not better than Miguels. I’ve had 3 Porsche’s, 1 Audi TT, and a VW GTI over the years and they’ve worked on all of them and their work is on par with the Porsche dealerships I’ve taken my cars to at a much lesser cost. Highly recommended!

I brought my 2008 XJ8 in for a conversion from the problematic air suspension to a coilover spring/shock setup. The staff were very professional. I was quoted a reasonable price, a timeline for completion and left my vehicle. They called me when complete and the job was done well, the price was as quoted and completed on time. There was zero up selling and the car rides great. Thank you Luis and staff! I would trust these guys with any repair. If they tell you that they can fix it, I'm guessing they will.

I got my back break pads and rotors done here, and paid $250 flat, the dodge dealership wanted to charge me $518, the parts alone came up to $260........ yup easy choice, they didn't give me the cheap stuff either, they hooked me up with heat slotted rotors and good pads for my SRT8, and im headed back to get my front ones done asap. It may look like a suspect shop, but I grade on the quality of work not the looks and appearances of a shop

First of all, amazing service - I thought it might be pushing it to ask for an oil change in a couple of hours- 40 min later they called me and it was done! Better yet, all the guys in the shop are very friendly and professional. So glad I went here—- i will not be going anywhere else!

I lived in Golden Hill/South Park area since 2012. Owning an older vehicle, I very much needed an auto repair service I could depend upon. Time and time again, Luis literally saved me. I now frequently tell him that I view him as my automobile angel. Thank you, Luis!

These guys are awesome. My battery kept dying and needed to be replaced. I didn't even have to leave my house. They came and picked up my car, called with their price after looking at it, replaced the battery and then brought it back. Will definitely come here again!

I took my Honda CRV here for an oil change. They went way over the max line and the car has been leaking oil for a long time. When I took it to my mechanic at home we were shocked when we looked at home much was put in. Felt very careless.
