When they changed my battery, it was supposed to put in a start/stop type but they put in a normal battery and charged for $285. My car dead quite a number of times on the road requiring me to call for jump starts. I lost a couple of hundreds dollars because of it, which is annoying. After I went back for the third time to ask for replacement under warranty, they finally found out the battery type was incorrect and replaced me with a brand new one. I appreciated for their effort but the cost of my trouble and time is still greater than I expected. They did not plug in the memory minder when changing the battery, all my details in electronics all disappeared. Other services cost are also higher than expected. Really bad experience. I personally would not go there again.

This place was awesome. Had never been here and was looking for a new mechanic. Had a flat tyre so went to check them out. Ben had a look, checked my other tyres as well and said they looked good. He said if you can wait 10 minutes I'll fix it right now. He fixed it, put it back on the car, put the spare in the back. Perfect. Booked a service as I was happy and he checked what my last mechanic had done and saw they didn't do the proper service but said they'd check if the things they missed needed replacing or could wait and most could wait. They dropped me home after I had dropped the car in and sent me a text when she was finished. Ben explained exactly what they did and why they did it so I could understand. Really great experience :).

I did my logbook service 6 months ago here and paid $1.2k to change a bunch of stuff, including asking them to check my car key when I dropped the car since it wasn't working well. They said they weren't sure, but they can change the battery. When I picked up my car, I asked about the car key again and it's replaced apparently, so I paid for everything including the cost to change the key battery. It still wasn't really working after that which I thought might be the key issue (was gonna bring back to toyota). Checked at locksmith recently and they opened the key, then found out it was still the original battery. So, Midas Ashgrove charged me for the cost to replace the battery but didn't end up replacing....

This is the best mechanics I have ever used! I sent my car to different workshops because of an unknown noise from one side of the car which sounded like linking with the braking system. But no one could find the reason. It's also difficult for Midas Ashgrove that they sent the car back to me after some small repair on the brake for the first time. But the noise came again, very annoying. So I had to go back and they didn't give up and said no they cannot fix it. Instead they spent two days on it, and tried different ways before they finally sorted it out by replacing a new rotor disc for me! Much appreciation!

Ben and his team at Midas Ashgrove are the best mechanics around! Not only do they do a great job, they take the time to explain everything to you instead of just presenting you with a massive bill upon checkout! For someone like me who truly knew nothing about cars before Midas Ashgrove, it has made a world of a difference. What a bunch of legends. Just stopped in to ask for some help to check my tyre pressure because my car indicated that it was a bit off after I had filled them up - not only did they fix the problem but also located another problem and just rectified it there on the spot. One of the only places I have gone where they haven't tried to take advantage that I don't know much about cars and rip me off. The service is second to none in the area and I will always go back and refer clients or friends. Thanks again guys!

Midas Ashgrove done my 120k service and done a good service plus having a seniors discount was great the cost was $265. Discounted to $214.50 which was great also the mechanic who did my service sent me a video which in all the years I hav had cars service Midas is the only company I no that does it that way I no what has to be done and cost I found Midas tha good iam taking my car to them to fix the problems that was on the video plus I get seniors discount I highly recommend Midas tyre and auto Ashgrove

I was very unhappy with my service. I spent thousands of dollars getting my car fixed thinking they would do the right thing. I got my car back to find things still leaking, bolts snapped and missing and parts zip tied together. The mechanic didn’t use genuine parts which meant some holes weren’t aligned. Due to these issues, I had to send the vehicle back for a second time to get them to rectify all the issues that I found. I was without a car for nearly 2 weeks which proved to be a huge inconvenience.

My husband dropped my car in 3 separate times over 7 days. The first time we had booked the car in with 3 or 4 days notice, and almost nothing was done to it. The second time 2 out of three tyres were replaced, and they said they'd do the third next time. The third time the guy didn't even realise the car was there, even though it was booked in. There was no acknowledgement of the time taken off work because of this, and no apology for the lack of professionalism. Will not be going back.

These are good guys! I called in here 8 years ago on the off chance that they'd have a light bulb for our car interior. They did, but they wouldn't let me pay for it, just gave me a freebie! So then I started taking my cars to them for services. They've always done a great job. Never had a drama in all that time. Always communicative and always ask permission before they do any extra work beyond what was discussed. It's great to find a highly competent and trustworthy mechanic.

Just collected my Calais from the awesome team at Midas Ashgrove. I'm totally satisfied with my experience, one of the mechanics was more than happy to walk me through the work and explain what needed to be done. After explaining cash is a bit tight at the moment he advised me on the work that can wait, and the quote on additional work is very competitive. Can't recommend these guys enough, keep up the great work.
