BAD FLORIST, BAD WEDDING LICENSE VENDOR..... My fiance and i went for a consultation for our wedding florals in the beginning of march. The woman we dealt with- Gayle -was unprofessional and unkind. She allowed her dog to rub on our legs without any signage as to it being an establishment containing any animals nor did she ask if it was alright the dog was there for our consult. When asked our wedding colours i showed her a bow-tie featuring the colours -blue and pink- and explained we were looking to compliment them, not match. She then went on to degrade us for minutes explaining that there are no blue flowers in existence when that is just untrue. As well as we never said we wanted blue flowers. She also talked down to us about our wanting mostly greenery not flowers and tried to get us to rent candle holders from her that were "better" than the free options our wedding venue is providing. We felt harassed the whole time we were there and we ended up choosing a different more expensive florist due to their professionalism and respect. Then came time to get our wedding license. They are the only vendor near us so my fiance left work early one day to get there before closing. We walked in and were told they had no licenses that day and we should have called ahead. That's fine, i never would have thought you would have to call ahead to reserve a marriage license but we put our name on the list to be called when they had some in stock. When we were halfway out the door this same woman started barking the things we needed to fill out the paperwork in such an aggressive fashion it was as if she was trying to scare us away from her business. We had such an unpleasant experience, we used a vendor in Beausejour.

Our initial plans for the wedding had been to make our own corsages and boutonniere. Like many plans as time went on it had to be put aside. When we stopped here to pick up our marriage license the week before the wedding we decided to order the corsages. The staff was very helpful when we picked up the license and made sure that we knew exactly the ins and outs of the marriage license application. The night before the wedding we called and added three corsages to the order they happily got them ready for us to pick up with everything in time for the wedding. The flowers looked great, the options to use magnets rather than pins was a nice and did not ruin clothes.

My wife and I recently used McDiarmid Flowers for our wedding in June of 2019. McDiarmid Flowers were absolutely fantastic to work with. We had picked our flowers several months in advance and as our wedding came closer we were able to still make some small changes with no hassle weeks before. Communications were usually returned within the same day even. McDiarmid Flowers arrived at the venue ahead of schedule, setup everything perfectly, and were done well before the event started. The arrangements came out fantastic, we had many compliments. We highly recommend McDiarmid Flowers. We never had to worry about them.

Stole 100$ from me after an employee issued an illegal marriage license for which she failed to ask the basic questions to confirm that she could in fact issue a marriage liscense. Filed a complaint with Manitoba statistics. Do not buy anything from these thieves. Regarding your response: vital statistics confirmed that you issued it illegally when your employee failed to ask the questions required of her to even begin issuing the liscense, furthermore, it was invalid as we had no reason to get married "first" in Manitoba as your employee advised us. You stole 100$ from me. Your defense is invalid.

I called McDiarmid Flowers the day before to ask if they had marriage licenses and the lady told me she would have them the next day from 1-5 p.m. I went there the next day at 12:30 p.m. hoping to beat the rush only to be greeted by a woman who was rude to me as soon as I asked for a marriage license. She told me they were sold out, but I was confused because she told me they were available by 1-5, so how could they be sold out by then? I would have been understanding but she was very rude and standoffish by me even just inquiring.

We can't say enough about Tammy at McDiarmid Flowers on Academy Road. She recently created three gorgeous centerpieces for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner, held at Pizzeria Gusto. We provided three square/rectangular glass vases. My wife chose some flowers to fit the Fall wedding theme, and Tammy did the rest. They were gorgeous. The decorated the tables at the rehearsal dinner, were then taken to the Friday night dinner, and, finally, given to those that helped us with the Friday dinner. Thanks, again , Tammy!

Very poor service. The lady was quite rude to the customer in front of us. We were there to get a marriage license, and when we asked about it she just snapped, "not today". We asked if ever did the licenses there, and once again snapped "not today". Offered us no explanations, so after an hour drive we left and have to find somewhere else to get one. They were also out of flowers. Find a different shop if your wanting to buy flowers, and would prefer a friendly, positive experience.

McDiarmid Flowers did my flowers for my wedding this past Saturday and they did such an incredible job. They made my vision come alive and were so accommodating as I made changes leading up to the date. They even made a matching faux flower collar for our dog to be a part of the ceremony. The flowers were more than perfect. If you’re looking for an amazing local florist to work with I would HIGHLY recommend Gayle and her team!

Gayle and her colleagues have always come through for me, sometimes under very difficult circumstances. Their arrangements are always fresh and imaginative, the staff is easy to work with and their deliveries are consistently reliable. They clearly understand the importance of customer service, a quality that is often lacking these days (yes, I realize I sound like an old codger). I will never use another florist.

Hands down my best flower shopping experience I ever had. Their website is user friendly and easy to navigate. Their customer service is top notch and oh my goodness are their flowers ever beautiful. It was my daughter 34th birthday so I needed 34 Roses. Stopped by accident at the Flower Shop and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The Roses were delivered to my daughter workplace and they are beautiful. Went back and thanked the ladies for a job well done

Please consider looking elsewhere for a marriage license. There are plenty of other places where you can obtain one. I usually strive to support small, local businesses, but this particular one wasn’t very friendly.

Complications with delivery plus strange flower choices for a cohesive bouquet (I had to take some out and make 2 arrangements because the orange and red gerber daisies looked strange with soft pink peonies)
