Matthew represented me for both selling and buying. My experiences with realtors in the past have been very good and Matthew was exceptional. All this activity came during a difficult time in my life and Matthew was there to help me all the way. The property that I sold was not in the immediate area. This required travel on Matthew’s part to prepare the house for sale and complete the closing. Unable to line up a lawn service on short notice, he cut the grass himself using my old mower! He did this to help get my house on the market in a timely manner. The offer and acceptance came during a holiday period when both Matthew and I were on family visits. Nonetheless, he remotely walked us through the negotiation and paperwork rather than risk losing the deal and putting us behind. I felt a high degree of confidence going into closing with Mathew even though I had started the day with a dead car battery and found I was heading into a meeting where both seller and buyer would be present. We expected there would be two separate meetings. Finding a home was a challenge due to the low inventory of properties in this area and the rapid response time required to place a bid. Add to that the difficulty of establishing a bid level in a market where a majority of offers are exceeding the asking price. Matthew kept me notified of homes that met my budget and feature requirements as soon as the listings became available. To save time I previewed properties of interest in person first and only scheduled viewings for desirable candidates. Matthew is a long-distance runner and triathlete but at that time was recovering from a foot injury. Yet he accommodated all view requests as fast as scheduling permitted. (There were a few days he had reserved in advance to acquire properties for two of his clients. It was first-come-first-serve, so he camped out in freezing temperatures at the site in order to secure his spot at the front of the line. He delivered for both clients. The circumstances and the good deed prompted a local TV station to interview him for the evening news!) The home we eventually locked in had the best features I could have expected: master on first floor, garage, loft, remodeled rooms, a clean neighborhood and a great location near places that I regularly visited. Matthew provided me with data on comparable sales and together we nailed down a successful bid. During this period, he gave me his opinions, but I was never pressured by him into making any decisions. Matthew had a coordinator working some of the details behind the scenes. That allowed him to concentrate on guiding his clients like me through all activities. He also had a network of other professionals that clients could choose to use or otherwise find alternatives. I chose his contacts for mortgage, inspection, insurance, and utility transition. All these activities were completed without problems. (It seems unescapable that a loan application requires a high volume of financial record requests and signoffs!) From what I could tell, both Matthew and the mortgage company had worked with the closing attorney in the past. This made the closing meeting a mere formality with all issues resolved beforehand. Coming from a senior citizen, I appreciated that Matthew was respectful and courteous to me at all times. Whether you are buying, selling, or both, I can highly recommend Matthew as your realtor.

Matthew is an absolute pleasure to work with. We were purchasing our very first home, and I believe that we were successful in this endeavor due to Matthew's drive and determination to help his clients. We toured the home on the first day that showings were available, put in an offer 2 hours later, and had the offer accepted the following morning. Matthew explained the whole process and guided us through from start to finish in an easy to understand way, and kept us in the loop with everything along the way. He also had some great strategies for us to make our offer stand out from the rest. He truly goes out of his way to help clients. It's not just a "deal" for him. It's a partnership and he treats you like he would his family.
