Worst Experience with Manager.! Two stars for the stuff and pricing of Matalan but today I had worst experience ever at this store. Without breaking any law, we got parking ticket. We were within the two hours free car park time, never went outside the Matalan during whole time still got ticket. We just didn’t know that whether you pay or not you need to display the ticket anyway. But we haven’t went anywhere except Matalan and manager did know this. Still she was way rude, I am pregnant eight months ( hardly done my shopping) and my husband was on job call and in her defence she said we called you but you didn’t came so we issued ticket. Never ever stores does like this, they always help the customers with their unnecessarily issued tickets after confirming that the customer was actually shopping in there store. In shopping if we didn’t paid attention to random announcements that doesn’t mean that we were at fault. No respect at all for customers. Manager sucks.! Returned the whole shopping worth £100 and she was not even ready to listen to us. Spoiled my whole day..!

Hidden little gem for people of Hayes, Harrow , Northolt , Uxbridge & Hounslow. This is my Frist visit to shop I was really impressed with the layout and different sections. On the entrance they have Till and self service checkout and to begin shopping it's ladies outfit and accessories. They have separate section for newborns to infant boys and girls. There is festive section, new arrival clothes for adults and kids. I love how they seperated 3ach section is big neon lights and signage. Men's formal section for shirts, suit and trouser. Denim section men & women. This Matalan has also a Homestpre where you can buy toys , kitchen ware , bathroom accessories & towels , bedroom upholstery and seperate section for Christmas shopping . Note the Homeware section has really quality designed items. Like other stores very less staff, but assistance available. They have car park which is free for two hours, however u have to put ticket from the machine. Click and collect option also available. Enjoy shopping

Today was my first and last visite. I was shocked to see how unprofessional and rude your till staff are. This one particular female staff keep on screaming every second telling everybody to move to self check out. She was very annoying and loud. There was nothing professional about her. She keeped on smirking and laughing with the other staff because she wasn't happy that nobody was moving to self check out. I don't know who gave her a job with that kind of attitude. She doesn't know how to talk politely or professionally. She reminded me of Nicky Polard from little Britain with her WOT when she talks to the customers. I was glad to be out of there and never coming back. This kind of staff brings quality down of your store.

The refit is disappointing, but it's still an okay shop, and had a good range. Sadly the queue was mammoth, likely not helped by the refit removing till points. I noticed the queue as I entered, and was unwilling to consider joining such a queue, so I browsed for items I might instead buy online. The queue was even bigger when I left 20 minutes later. The queues here have always been long, and slow, but this was another level. On the plus side the security guard at the door was lovely, parking was easy, with a free parking period so you can get your shopping done. The inspector was there even at 7pm on a Saturday, so don't be tempted to just nip in without a ticket.

Decent size, messy. Although I was studied as soon as I walked Into the shop and when I was about to exit stopped and searched. Whilst a group of young boys in hooded tracksuit laughed as they exited. Stereotyped my racial profile straight away. May I add I was with my 71yr old mother and I'm a qualified professional! They did apologise, which was nice of them. But It was too late to stop the boys who left laughing. But they openly acknowledged it was too late to stop them and they were wrong. They need training on security and racial profiling.

I like Matalan it's cheap and has a big selection also though reasonably priced and most of the stuff lasts as it is well made. One thing I have found is you have to watch the sizes of some of the trousers, jeans and shorts as they can be a bit oversized. I bought some online the other day but had return them the next day in store as the size they were supposed to be 36(all labels) but when measured were actually 38 and when I was in the store (I took a tape measure with me) I bought a pair of 34s as when I measured them the came out as 36.

I went to matalan to find a suit. They had loads of different suits and sizes but I was not able to find my size. After searching for so long I went to customers service desk to ask if my size was available the said they don't stock anything in my size. But I could order online to be collected in 5 days but I never had 5 days to spare. I did try some trousers that was in my size but found the size was smaller than what it would be in other places so for me it was not that great. There's loads of things to buy here. And stuff for the house.

Well, its a Matalan, so, there's that, but it was fairly tidy and not so busy. Carpark machine was broken , but the actual carpark warden was very helpful, which is a plus. Being December, I expected the usual raft of dross raining down from the tinny pa system, but no! Actual real music. Granted, it was the usual poppy junky chart R&B/rap type that everywhere seems to play, but I'll take that over seasonal "music". Staff were ok, not overly fake or cheery, but not sad and dour either. All in all, not the worst experience in a shop....

Very loud girl served me at the till. Very low customer service skills. Its almost like she is shouting at people. Its now a horrible experience shopping at Matalan hayes. Another reason not to shop there is that you cannot return any sale items for a refund. Its rubbish since you cannot try them on. As a result, most things have been mildly reduced across the store to entice people as well as to make sure they secured your money by not letting you return things.

The hangers read different sizes than the clothes hung on them, which is frustrating. They don’t ever have any size 10/12 clothes, most their clothing starts at size 16 upwards, so if your smaller don’t even bother with this matalan although they have plenty of hangers that read size 10/12. Shoe section also a shambles There’s always a queue, and the staff just do everything in slow motion Shopping experience just frustrating.

Amazing place to shop branded clothing, footwear, home decor, kidswear, toys and lots more. They have great discounts every season. Just love to buy items from Matalan. They are good in Quality and yes, they do have Matalan rewards on Matalan Card. Go check out yourself for better exposure and I'm sure you'll love the store. Great shop with quality items. The biggest issue i had is on the tills. I was paying by card and was told to use the self-service checkout. When i replied that i do not wish to use it as i do not like it, assistants got very awkward and made me feel as i gave them months worth of work in 5min.... Wheather paying by card or cash, self-service till should be a choice of the shopper!

Large and spacious cheap clothing shop. The staff are attentive and helpful. Extra facilities include an amazon collection point, and dod deliveries can also be directed here, to be collected from behind the counters. Best cycle parking is probably one of the reddish steel Street light protectors, the one nearest to the car park exit is more out of the way of cars than the others.

We went to try on some trousers in the fitting room, the lady (asian and had a head scarf)over there was very rude and cold. The fitting rooms were dirty and trying on clothes was difficult cuz it would get dirty. The lady at the self checkout wad also not helpful. The store did not have carry bags and told us to buy the £3 bag. By far the worst store customer service ever.

Matalan has comparatively good collection at cheap prices. Although their styles are almost similar throughout an year, I would sometimes choose Matalan over H&M. If you shop at Matalan during their 50-70% sale time, you can get really good set of clothes even at £5-£10. Most of their stores have enough space for parking as well, which makes shoping there much comfortable.

On 08.06.2021 at 1:25 there was three ladies pushing me and my friend; they were engorging me and other people that we didn’t want to pay by the machine in the store, Their work is to help customers they get money for that but should not get money for being mean to customers, I’ve been going to this shop for at least 18 years and nothing ever happened like this before.

It has mens, women's and kids clothing, sizes are usually an issue as they are often low in stock in most of their new stock. It's under staffed and the queues are long. The home department is nice, but small and with pockets with disorganised chaos across the store. Their discounts are pretty good but the stoxk is too pricey for the experience

It would be helpful if the prick who stacked the shelves of jeans put the items the correct way round. This simple action would enable customers to see the sizes of the jeans without having to take every sodding pair off in order to see the labels. Maybe stacking the jeans in size order rather than randomly would be helpful as well.

I had a good experience with Matalan Hayes. I went shopping after my office and I was late. Though they were going to shut the store soon, the staff was really helpful in that they helped me get the things I needed. They were very friendly. I could not apply the coupon I had but I am happy with the service I received. Thank you

It always feels too hot in this store. Its in a bit of a strange location. The parking is good, however there is not much of it. The queues for the tills seem to snake on forever, however, the staff are quick and efficient at dealing with these queues. Very good selection of clothing and household goods. All at bargain prices.

Having checked on the Internet for the Hayes branch Articles I require were in stock according to the Internet once visit the shop not one thing I wanted you had what is the point of having Internet to check only to be wasting my time fuel energy COVID-19 rules to find nothing get your act together

As usual... as there is no matalan in my town I'll always find something good there :) The only downside of matalan was when at Kent store guard near Ramsgate guard followed me when I could not decide what I want. That happened as well for a moment in UB post code one.

Good choice of stuff, but was not very organised, staff were not very helpful, prices were little more than my previous visits I had a year back. The entrance signs are lil confusing too. The fitting rooms were not in good condition either. But rest all was good.

Went to exchange a click &collect..it was super easy and straightforward!..i wouldve given it 5 stars if there were more tills operating.oh and another thing..ive found sizes very generous sayy a size 14/16 is wayyyy too big..id say size 12 was the equivalent.

Didnt have my size in what I wanted had a look around to see if I wanted anything else but didnt so I ended up not being refunded on the parking fee!.......... hmmm I got charged a browsing fee. Thats disgusting. My advice shop elsewhere primark perhaps?

It was very hot, no sort of air conditioning and was stuffy. It was full of clothes that no one will ever buy and was generally not looked after like it should be. The manager of this place wants maximum profit and doesn't care about customers.

You can find a good quality products with average price in this store, also you have two hours free parking. I think the cashiers in this store have a hard job because all the time, they are stand up, Matalan should be provide chairs to them.

It's a great store with ample variety. There is always new stuff to choose from every time you visit. The goods are reasonably priced too. I was only disappointed with a cardigan I bought from the baby section- it's fleece keeps coming off

Hayes Matalan needs a good clean up both inside and out, it is a messy store with clothes and items strewn about the store. The security guy looks like he's waiting for a heart attack while wearing his "Chelsea FC" face mask...not at all

I parked my car while shopping and paid the for the parking, ten days latter I received the parking charge notice through their agents Smart parking. This the last time me or my friends or my work colleagues will ever shop at Matalan

Visited Matalan recently, after having not been there for quite a while, failed to notice that they now charge for parking. Consequently, we have just paid a parking charge of £50. Needless to say we won't be going there again!

Called them to check stock as the click collect takes 5 days. I needed a black poncho I saw on website. Ramna kindly reserved for me to collect the same day from the stores. That’s customer services well done merry Christmas

The store itself is well organised and clean. However the staff are very unprofessional speaking there own language(hindu) in front of the customer. One staff member was making personal phones call via her fit bit watch.

Rabish company cheap and bad quality and now he losing a lot of customer about the parking now my all family doesn't use matalan anymore. They give me 130 pounds find. Plz don't use matalan in any where Rabish everything

It's a pity that the state wasn't bust at all and it was Sunday. There were only 2 cashiers who didn't seem to be in a hurry. Of the 2 that were there they were friendly enough. On a positive there is anode parking.

Matalan had an upgrade a little while ago & it's much better to shop around due to the layout. Parking is convenient as well for disabled. Don't forget your free customer parking ticket when you park.

Wanted to find Falmer jeans as really like the fit. ONE style available that I did not like. Waste of time. Matalan used to stock a range of Falmer jeans in different lengths; Where are they???

Staff's are very friendly. Lots of clothes stock but it’s very difficult to get the proper size because most of the sizes are larger than the average. Plenty of parking spaces on site.

Never come to this store unless you want to queue for at least 40 minutes. An absolute disgrace and my girl insisted on queueing. Disgusted with this place. NOT ENOUGH TILLS as usual.

I have a good experience in Matalan .alot of choices are here women men kids clothing and gifts toys for kids...and one more thing prices are very reasonable as compared to others...

Good sized store, excellent range of stock, plenty of free parking. Main downside is the traffic in Hayes town and the surrounding area, can be a bit of a nightmare getting there.

Store with a good collection from womens, men's and kids clothes to women's accessories and home items. The shop isn't easy to find unless you know where to look for.

Was OK. Only the bad points. The changing rooms are all shut. Ask the Security Guy was told too much theft from people going into changing rooms and stealing stuff

A good place to shop clothes, shoes, bed linen for everyone in the family. Prices are reasonable and clothes quality is good. They also have great offers online.

A place to shop on your own time. The shop isn't that busy. Ample spaces for parking at the back and on the side. Charges apply for parking after a free period.

I love the shop itself... however the parking lot is an absolute mess. It is untidy and covered in rubbish, which makes the whole shopping experince unpleasant.

Good home shop but with other homeware markets developing and giving better price, I think Matalan need to bring something new or start to price the items down

I have not been in a Matalan store before and what a pleasant experience. The layout of the store was great and well presented. The staff were very helpful.

Great shopping option for clothings. Right across Matalans there is a all day breakfast place which serves on of the best English breakfast.

Too much stock, luckily not very busy as would have been worse. Self service tills did not have cleat instructions but quicker than queue!

They are using the baby changing room for storage. They offered a fitting room with a chair in as a replacement which wasn’t practical
