I ordered the eggs Benedict and a chocolate milk. The Benedict was an open assault on gastronomy. A bag mix was used for the hollandaise and without sufficient moisture. The entire thing was drenched in this course pudding like paste. The ham was over cooked to shoe leather. My chocolate milk was white milk loosely infused with 2-3 drops of some knock off chocolate syrup that refused to blend. The whole plate was like it was prepared by a third world janitor that someone grabbed and hastily made head chef. The two stars given are for the poor server tending to the dining room alone. I left the majority of my food. No photos were taken because....well... it's poor form to photograph a train wreck with bodies (the ham). Out of respect for the poor swine and chick's that gave their all for this atrocity I refrained.

I've passed this place for years, but have never eaten here and wasn't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised with a super nice waitress and great food. We ordered mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers and fried mushrooms for the table, all of which were fantastic. I ordered fried chicken, green beans, onion rings, and coleslaw for my meal. Others ordered the catfish and mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans, a Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries, and fettuccine alfredo. All of it was fantastic! Never knew there was some great local home cooking so close. We'll definitely be back.

Plenty of parking in back or on side of the building it is safe use to be an ( old waffle house restaurant ) prices for two people was reasonable. I had a really good Bacon Cheeseburger, French Fries and Broccoli Soup and also had an Italian dish there With Chicken, California, Vegetables and Alfredo Sauce over Fettuccine Noodles with Garlic Toast. I thought it was pretty good and was impressed. I usually have breakfast there and decided to try other options and I am glad. Would definitely recommend stopping in. Service was pretty good especially for being as busy as they were at the time!(Only reason I spent so much is because I ordered two meals for myself.)

The Restrooms were closed. ( How can a restaurant not have Public restrooms? ) We came for Coffee & Dessert. The Menu says to ask about the Daily Special. The waitress said they had Coconut Cream Pie, Banana Cream Pie & Carrot Cake. We ordered The Carrot Cake & Coconut Cream Pie thinking it was made Daily but it was a Cheap Frozen Pie, straight from the Freezer & The Carrot Cake was still frozen in the middle. The Coffee wasn’t hot or fresh. We asked for some hot and the waitress seemed put out to make a fresh pot. She wasn’t friendly at all and the restaurant was Dirty and smelled of stale Smoke & Urine. The Vents on the ceiling was Black & filthy. I’d never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Great corner diner/cafe. At first, it looks like they’ve had some tough times. Likely a result of the pandemic? But after I sat down (two or three other tables were occupied) at least 6 more tables came in for dining. The interior is quaint with cute witty signs all over. Staff was friendly and on the ball. I ordered the Western Omelet with toast potatoes and coffee. $12 meal and a full belly. Great start to the day. And thanks to a kind soul of a server. For those who keep reading, the men’s room was also clean. Better than many diners, but still a diner.

I've been wanting to stop in here forever so a buddy of mine and I went there to have breakfast. One of the hardest things to find in Indiana is one of the things that should be the easiest is corned beef hash, they have it. I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs over easy fried potatoes, and the potatoes were actually potatoes they weren't hash browns, they weren't cubed frozen potatoes they were actual fried potatoes! The food was very well cooked awesomely seasoned and the service was fantastic! If you have drove past this little cafe thinking about stopping in but haven't yet you really should do yourself a favor and stop.

Really wanted Madison’s to work. We used to be regulars at Madison Grill. The food was great with great prices the staff was wonderful. Always knew my kids order before they even said anything. Now that it’s new owners the menu is way too lengthy and the food potions are not as good, plus the pricing went up. I’m all for paying a higher price on food if it’s good but, everything we’ve ordered & we tried it twice was just ok or not good at all. I hope they can can a grip on their menu and just go back to the old menu and serve better quality food. Super bummed as we literally used to eat here once a week & use the back room for bigger family gatherings.

Good comfort food, nice clean restaurant. This is a nice, quiet place to enjoy a good meal at a good price. I had a chicken salad croissant. It was very good. I liked it a lot. My son had the tenderloin sandwich, I'm pretty sure that they make it there. He said it didn't taste like it was frozen.

I love a good dive, and this is my favorite. From the off duty police officer to the squeezy old couple whose cell phones rang at the highest volume, it always has great people watching. The food is fast and accurate for a dive diner, cooked exactly how we asked. Bonus: The banana pancakes have banana slices cooked in them as well as on top, and a delightful cream cheese filling between. Definitely recommend

We have friends who come here every Sunday. We don't get to go so often, but it's usually a good experience and it's easy to understand why our friends are regulars there. Today, Dulse took good care of our large party, while also training a new waitress, and the kitchen is always fast, accurate, and seems to put out consistently good food.

Went here for the first time and was unsure of what to expect. We had a larger party and the server did their best to get everything right. I've been to this restaurant three times. Each time I came out they don't see people in order they walk in the door, they don't take orders in the order of people who walk in the door. Twice I've walked out seeing other people give their orders and get their food before me when I was there before them. I eat out every meal. And this is the kind of place I like to eat but I will never come back after 3 attempts I'm trying to get good service.

Responding to a post mary made we closed early on March 15th due to dish machine going down so we needed to fix it which was worked on Thursday March 16th and we reopened back up today March 17th!!! As the sign by the door says, your kind of place if you like this kind of place…and I do. A great local diner that has great food with an always friendly staff. Great corn beef hash especially. In nice weather, an outdoor patio is available for dining. Very unique decor with wallpaper themes such as cars are farms and trains. Fun signs and statues scattered around as well. A funplace for good food and service

Food quality is questionable. It really depends on the cook on duty. Same with the service. Depends on the waitress you get on your visit. It's like anyplace, there are good days and bad. Prices are reasonable.

When I lived on the Southside I went there often for breakfast. Loved it! My first time back in a couple of years & I had the tenderloin sandwich, fries and potato soup. The tenderloin was delicious & big, enough for 2! The fries were good. I do not recommend the potato soup. Not good, tasted like canned soup and had no flavor. I'll be going back when I'm close by again. Love their mexican omelette!

Diner with large menu. Tried the Patty Melt for lunch. Was larger than expected but the burger was a bit like it wasn't 100% beef as far as texture. Comes w American cheese but they let you sub Swiss. The service is 5 star. Old decor, could use a refresh. Coke products.

We were skeptical at first, scared of what the atmosphere would be like, if it would be a comfortable environment for us to eat at. It was. Every time we go we are always greeted with a smile, the staff do their best to be personable and value your time in their restaurant. Even the other patrons are kind and inviting. Thanks for working so hard to make your business an inclusive space.

It was beautiful! I felt like I was in the Twilight movie! With all the cozy decor and twinkle lights... And the staff was wonderful and so merry for the holidays with their smiles, friendly Santa jokes, Christmas necklaces that light up and their elf pens that jingle when they take your order... It was so cozy and felt like you were welcomed into someone’s charming little country home.

Some of their food is really good -- country fried steak is great. Their dessert cobblers are NOT good, would not recommend those. Reasonably priced. They do have coupons on their website, but they recently started to only accept printed coupons and no longer accept mobile coupons. So if you want to save some extra cash, be sure to print off beforehand. Service is consistently decent.

Food was tasteless, overpriced and bland. My order was a side item short, and the server/ cashier was rushing as if i didn't matter. I do not recommend this place! Take your hard earned money elsewhere, run fast!

New owner name has changed Cafe. New employees, went for breakfast Wednesday morning. Quaint, not real busy at the time. Brianna (sp) was our server, very nice professional manner. Good was good, ordered a corn beef hash skillet. The skillet was decent size with a good portion. Pancakes side were decent. Not overly large but plate size.

We stopped there today after kindergarten graduation, and Miss Tiffany was the best! We had the breakfast, pancakes, western skillets, steak, and eggs, and grits! Everything was cooked, just right, including the steak. It was delicious! Will definitely be going back again. If you want, home-cooked food, this is the place to go!

The best little place you didn't even know about! The service was awesome, great value, big portions, cozy dining room... Bought dinner for 6 for less than 60$. Spent only a little more than I would have at McDonald's and got to support a local restaurant! Try the Manhattan, it was delicious!

Madison Grill is a wonderful restaurant. It's small and has home feel but the service is great and the staff really knows there regulars. Breakfast is served all day with lots of other amazing choices! I recommend Madison Grill if you dont like chain restaurants and want some delicious food.

I was craving spaghetti and found out Madison Grill serves it. That place was crowded! Turns out that Tuesday night is Senior Night, and entrees are half off the Senior menu. The spaghetti was great! It does seem to be a homemade recipe with a lot of tomatoes. I would highly recommend it.

Great selections of different food. Hard to choose from because all items on the menu sounded delicious! I went with a breakfast for dinner and my wife went with a steak. Absolutely wonderful and so much food! We were very pleased with service and food. We will definitively return!

Simply good! I probably never would have set foot in this place if I hadn't had to wait next door to have my brakes repaired, but I'm so glad it was here! I don't like dining alone, but they didn't make me feel a lot about it. The food was very nice and the service was good.

Generally nice experience, lovely staff. Personally (party of 5+ seated) ordered the Cajun Chicken sandwich which led to a 24 hour period of intestinal distress, no other incidents out of the group.

Would NOT recommend. Disgusting and terrible food. I spent $16 on one meal with water and I'm hoping I don't get sick. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Our waitress was friendly but the host was very rude. I couldn't even eat the potato soup or green beans.

Ordered 2 steaks to go. Got home and the steaks was as thin as ham steak and tough. 1 was to medium rare and the other medium. The steaks were so thin that they couldn't cook them as asked. Steaks are to be thick and juicy. Will never order
