Placed an online order, for an item that was currently in stock. Well over a week later, and *nine emails* and a dispute form, with no replies whatsoever. With the third phone call, we finally got a hold of someone who proceeded to say that it was a PRE-ORDER. Even though the website clearly said "in stock". After hearing about the six staff that are off sick and overseas and only one person on staff, they proceeded to say their email had been "down" and they hadn't received any emails, and that we should have received an email saying the item was pre-ordered. (email was down, yet we should have received an email?) . We said, the website says it is in-stock. They then said "oh, really? I'll have to change that." After being told they would contact the wholesaler for an update and then let us know, instead within minutes they jumped on their website, changed the "in-stock" status to "pre-order". So, just a pretty hackneyed attempt at C-Y-A. We never agreed to pre-order, and by their own admission that they'll have to change the website to pre-order, is just shoddy practices all around. Overall, I have no hope whatsoever that I will actually receive this item within the next month or so, if at all. I strongly suspect that I will simply never hear from this business again, seeings how it was very difficult to get a hold of them as it is, I believe it will be even harder the next time around. Lesson learned, should have gone through a larger business. And FYI, if it is so hard to run a business and take internet orders, don't have items listed on your website, that way you won't have to hide from customers.

Pre-Ordered 4 MOTU Masterverse Revalations on 24Jul21 ($209.96), Sent two emails on 4Nov21 and 8Nov21 requesting status update of my pre-order, never received a response. Called in Dec21 and was advised that a couple of the orders arrived but the other batch wont arrive until Mar22 due to supply chain issue. Which is fair enough and I understand. Now that its Mar22, I've send another email on 6Mar22 requesting status update of my order and still no response to my email. I've tried calling the store multiple times but cannot get through or no one answers the call. Very disappointed with customer service or lack of customer service. I want to request a refund of my money but cant get hold on anyone to speak to. I've sent another email today (21Mar22) and this time provided my mobile contact, will see if anyone will call me back. UPDATE - I got a call from the owner, not sure why but none of my emails have been received and there's a fault with their phone line hence why my calls havent been answered or getting through. Advised in future I can send enquiries on their Facebook page. Appreciate the quick call from Mad Zombies and it seems like a breakdown in communication due to technology. Got an update on my order status, ship will arrive in next 2-3weeks. I've amended my rating to 4 stars.

In april 2019 i preordered a 1/6 figure ,When they finally got it in stock in late Jan 2020 the owner Cherie Tridente constantly refused to supply tracking details,then made excuses that she was home sick and would send me the tracking details but never did.Fed up with her constant lies i contacted Dept of Fair Trading as well as ZIP-PAY who refunded the money i paid back in April.I have never experienced such a deceitful individual who so blatantly lies.Luckily i received a refund thru ZIP-PAY and have learned a lesson only deal with honest businesses which MAD ZOMBIE COLLECTABLES is definitely NOT.Also she claims i was abusive towards her which is totally false,my only correspondance was via messenger,and i did ask her to send me tracking details which she would not do.After repeatedly refusing to suppy tracking detais i contacted Fair Trading & the Zip-pay.What reputable bussiness posts a $350.00 item and refuses to supply tracking details.Bottom line she did not send the item and tried to cover her tracks by saying it was send via Fastway couriers and refused to supply tracking details.And LIED about it.

Waste of time and money waiting for a back order that was approved only to be cancel 4 months later without no explanation to why it was canceled. No communication for madzombie at all only noticed it was cancel as I signed into my account to see the status of my order had to go though PayPal to get a refund never again stay away buy elsewhere. If you got a back order approved be prepared to get it cancelled months later and your money sitting in there account into you open a case on PayPal to get your money back disappointed collector. If I had know this I would have bought elsewhere now I have to buy the items I wanted at 5 times the price as it's discontinued. Didn't care that I didn't receive my back order that was approved and I that I was disappointed that I didn't receive it no apology or anything about my order being cancelled. Stay away.

I ordered 7 pop vinyls through them around February last year. They were set to drop in April and I never got a call to say they were available to be picked up. I went in every couple of weeks and on every occasion they fed me the same excuse that they would be in the next week shipment and that they’d contact me. After about 10 months I was fed up and asked to be refunded to which they said they normally wouldn’t do but with this circumstance they would, but because I did it through AfterPay they’d have to contact them and I’d get my money back, I did not. They fed my brother the same excuse. Tl;dr - I bought $120 worth of pops and never received them or my money back.

Every time I pass through Gay's Arcade I stop by Mad Zombie Collectables to check on the very off chance they have any small pieces of Thunderbirds memorabilia like pins or keyrings. I dont expect them to, and if I was serious about getting something I'd actually ask about it. It's just become a ritual of mine. Maybe looking for tb merch is just an excuse to go in the store at this point. It's quite a nice store with an impressive variety of products. I would highly recommend it; chances are there's something in here for you. An ideal place for gift shopping. Very pleasant to stand aimlessly in, so if you're actually making a purchase it's probably even better. 10/10.

Made an online order September 2020, no communication until I receive order in post Feb 2022. Apparently this was a pre-order that I forgot I made and due to covid it was delayed, funny cause I brought the exact item during 2021 no pre-order. Unhappy with the whole way this transaction has taken place, and if I return I pay for postage and pay a 15% restock fee. You would think sometime in the last 17 months I would of recieved a order update just something to say" Hey order update "what if I had moved house??? Died??? Won't really make a difference but I won't order from her again and won't be recommending to anyone.

Mad Zombie has amazing items, not just for collectors but for the average person who enjoys pop culture. From Pop Vinyls to action figurs and so much more, Mad Zombie should be your go-to. Just a shame that the customer service was lacking. In the time I was in store browsing, the woman behind the counter did very little to assist a customer inquiring about prices. And frankly, barely spoke to me - it was Saturday, the store was quiet. Perfect chance to engage with customers it the woman wasnt interested. Really put a dampener on an otherwise good experience.

Got sent wrong item and sent photo and message enquiring about what to do, got sent an email back saying to send incorrect item back and then correct one will be sent. I then enquired whether I would be reimbursed for shipping the wrong item back as mistake was not my fault and never received any further communication. The present was for my niece for Christmas. Very disappointed in the customer service

zero star is I could! I never put reviews but that's my last option! I placed an order several month ago, I paid but it was not in stock... After waiting several weeks, I asked for a refund and she agreed almost 2 month ago. I'm still waiting for the refund and now she ignores my email. I'm sure she will pretend she wrote email back and find bulls**t excuses...

Found Mad Zombie Collectables when searching for a Christmas gift for the Sci-Fi made partner. They have a huge collection of sci-fi collectables and the staff were very obliging and helpful. Although they didn't have what I was looking for, they were courteous enough to send me in the direction of a shop that might. Great range and service!

There are tons of collectibles here that you won't find elsewhere. But one negative I have to mention is that they took a really long time to get hold of something I pre-ordered. So long that I actually found the same item sitting on a shelf at Zing a month or so before I finally received it from Mad Zombie.

Sadly due legislation that makes no sense this store was forced to close their Airsoft/gelblaster section which was fantastic to see in the city alas due to fault of their own it's no longer open. Their store still provides high knowledgeable insight in to all genres of paraphernalia and helpful service

Good selection of items considering it is a small space but collectors might be better off paying more reasonable prices online. Customer service is ok but could include more warmth during browsing visits to the store, and does not impress at all when shopping becomes even remotely difficult.

Upon contact with a store employee I have deleted my first review and am happy to give my full support to the Mad Zombie team I was not aware that condition is not always up to the store and staff, 5 stars all the way! Keep up the great work, cant wait for my next purchase.

Great service except for a recurring issue. you must make sure they have the stock in store before ordering online to pickup instore ,I've been messed around many times already when the website says it's in stock but it hasn't even been delivered to them yet.

ordered a Chucky doll online here, was told it was actually not in stock while it said it was in stock online have to wait until June or July to get this doll thinking about getting a refund these people need to update their website. seriously disappointed.

One of my favourite little gems of Adelaide. I don't even want to rate them because I don't want to see them crowded and some out but after years and years of on and off purchases, I can't not recommend them. I'm just gonna regret the empty shelves

A veritable Alladins cave of preloved collectables from the world of pop culture and media. Go there to window shop as I often do or buy that much searched after item. Quality of goods vary, the majority being very good. Well worth exploring.

Has been my go to store for all my collectible needs since I found them 3 years ago. Staff are always helpful, and great to deal with. Have been able to add a lot of great pieces to my collection, that I've not seen anywhere else in Adelaide.

Do not order. Don't even think about it. This business took my money when the product showed as in stock, and it's been a month, the figure has come out in stores and all I got for enquiring about it was a short sharp antagonistic response

I have been visiting Mad Zombies for a number of years now. The staff have always been welcoming, helpful and good to have a chat with. Even if and order doesn't go as planned these guys go above and beyond to attempt to rectify it.

All your collectibles are here in one spot. The owners are enthusiasts and should be supported. We don't have many pop culture stores in Adelaide that are independently owned. When you're in Rundle Mall next visit them. Recommended

Courteous, full of knowledge and the items they sell will spark your imagination. Highly recommend. The prices are realistic and actually too cheap in my opinion as they could ask more for lots of things.

Very rude service and the person working at the time believed to be the owner was kicking everyone out the store making us hurry up and she needed to go to the bathroom. Felt very rushed and not welcome.
