Open and check your purchases before you leave the store. I drove all the way from Lakeland to Tampa to purchase the largest bottle of the pink Chancel Chance. I picked up the exact one from the counter and showed the sales associate. She started asking me if I was sure and showing me a similar one. I told her I wanted the pink chance with the silver spray nozzle. The original one I showed her. I go to open the perfume the next day before work, and it is the wrong one. Being that I live an hour away I called to see if there was anything I could do over the phone for a return or exchange since I’d have to drive an hour and waste my time and gas. I was told I would have to return to the store i purchased it from. I drove all the way back to return it and was pushed off three times to different associates when I asked to return it. I had a wedding and other things to attend to so I bought a smaller bottle of my perfume from Ulta because I was out and wanted it for these events before I could return to Tampa for an exchange. The Macys associates continued to ask me over and over if I wanted to exchange it and I told them no, that I had purchased a smaller bottle of the one I wanted since I live an hour away. No apologizes or anything…. Then the associate proceeded to asked me if I had used the perfume … so what if I had? You sold me the wrong thing. But I had not used it so when I told her I had not, she pulled the bottle out of the packaging, held it to the light and inspected the level of the perfume…. I felt this was extremely rude and disrespectful. I was finally able to get my money back. I loved coming to this location to get my favorite perfume in the large size, but after this I just won’t return.
Customer service counter is so ridiculous. They are incredibly incompetent and it’s the same women here all the time. They don’t know how to do their jobs, they’re rude, ignorant to the return and exchange policies, and are more than happy to pawn whatever issue you have off on someone else. I had an online order that I needed to exchange, and instead of actually doing her job, Cheryl called customer service and handed me the store phone to basically place a new order from scratch with someone who barely spoke English as she left the counter to go pet someone’s dog elsewhere in the store. The customer service agent on the phone had zero of my information and asked for my social security number and date of birth to “verify” my Macys card which they should have had on file since Cheryl was “supposed” to have provided him with my order information. I said no because I’m standing in the middle of a crowded store and to just charge it to my Macys card. I got so angry and frustrated with this absurd scenario I just cancelled the entire transaction and gave up on getting an exchange. I’m probably just going to mail back the shirt. The women at this desk are so incredibly unhelpful im baffled that they even still have a job. Another woman who appeared to MAYBE be a manager walked around and promptly disappeared when she realized the complete nonsense that was going on with me. I’ve been a Macys cardholder for a long time and I’ve never had so much trouble returning or exchanging something. After this and other recent experiences in this store I’ll probably just give up on anything in-person ever again unless I want to lose my mind with these compete morons
Dismal curbside pickup experience. Saturday morning 10:45 am Sept 11th. I used to linked provided to advise I was on my way, used the link provided to notify I was here, followed the instructions, gave my customer spot # and popped the trunk. I provided the color and type of vehicle as requested and apparently I WRONGLY ASSUMED that the technology in place was being used to best and most efficient advantage for optimal customer service. After waiting for 30 minutes, I called the telephone number given on my order screen along with the UPC code and was told to wait on hold until details of my order could be verified by the ONLY store associate handling curbside pickup as well as instore pickup. I waited another 15 minutes, verbally verified my order number and customer name and I was told it would be a few more minutes. A woman came out and looked around in the parking lot (I was the only car parked in a curbside pickup spot). I rolled down the window and the associate said: “Are you Brown (my last name)?” I responded yes. The associate then asked “where do you want the package? ” I responded “in the trunk.”The associate then said: “pop the trunk, then.” I responded: “the trunk has already been popped, please try it.” The associate walked to the trunk and flung my purchase on top of it and said “there is no need to get nasty, Miss.” The associate then turned and walked away. I will never do business again with Macy’s. This was a discouraging experience. No only do you as a corporation not value the customer experience and staff accordingly, you do not train your associates to provide decent customer service.
On Wednesday August 16, I made a Presale on Elizabeth Arden Prevage day cream ( See photo) with a promise by the Sales Associate of shipping it to my address in Connecticut. The wrong item was shipped with a packing slip for another customer. I placed calls to the store several times without any success. I called the phone number on the packaging slip. The receiver said she was a customer and was on vacation in Tampa Florida at the same time that I was. She informed me that she received the wrong item as well but gave me the phone of someone who replied to her calls. I called and the Macy's associate/manager apologized and instructed me to send the wrong item back and keep the gift. I mailed the item back on August 29, the USPS tracking indicated that it was delivered on September 1st. Up till today that I am writing this review, September 13, I have not received the item I paid for. I have uploaded pictures as evidence. I wish it was possible to give a rating of zero (0) for this store, I would have.
I went to return something that I purchased with my Macys credit card and Hanna (which I think is a manager) was the rudest person I’ve ever met in my life. I’m so disappointed and frustrated after my visit, she made me feel like the worst person because I bought a makeup and fragrance set for my girlfriend that she didn’t like and she made me show her the online order to make sure I didn’t get any gift with my purchase, she made me feel like I was taking something when I don’t need to. I just went to return something and she went on my client to check my transactions to make sure that I don’t usually return stuff and after all of that she made the return as no proof of purchase (even tho I bought it with my Macys card that I’ve had for years) and they didn’t return the money to my Macys card. They gave me the lowest price of the season (less than what I paid for) on a merchandise certificate that took more than a month to get to my house.
Took an hour and a half to drive there, and under 20 minutes looking thru store to realize that Macy's is closer to being WALMART, if you enjoy "trash can'shopping this is the store for you. None of the Levi's pants were in order whether they were hanging up or on a table, they were mostly on tables piled on heaps and if you wanted a pair, you had to Dig thru the piles to find the style and then size you need . Never found champion, Adidas, good fila, puma for women nothing not the shoes, which what they had for women was scarce, no clothing, not even a hat. I did see the display for all those in the men's department HOWEVER after walking fort 20 minutes looking for a Walmart associate, because that's what this store is trying to be like, I was too tired and disgusted to go any further. Don't waste your time, go to your local Walmart 10 min away you'll find the same stuff and probably won't have to dumpster dive to find them
I went into the store on 02/18 to purchase a couch. I told them I needed the couch asap and they said it would be delivered Wednesday. I made the purchase and went about my day. The couch was delivered this morning, but was missing the most Important piece. I called customer service and of course got transferred around and the blame game started. The final answer was the the couch corner was damaged. I told them that this needed to be delivered today and the final excuse was they have to send it from NJ and that their Lakeland warehouse didn't stock it. Customer service was a joke and so was the sales person, Hania. I texted her and she said, " I'm off. Call customer service." ABSOLUTE joke of a company and joke of a sales person. STAY AWAY FROM MACYS!
I wish it was possible to give ZERO stars, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. Macys’s delivery team assembled a bed incorrectly, the bed broke. For three weeks now I’ve been attempting to get Macy’s to remove this bed set and issue a refund- three separate times they have deleted me from their schedule to remove this item, no one ever has any idea how said deletion has happened. I cannot fathom how one company can screw up this many times. I even contacted the CEO who promised this would be rectified, and yet another week has gone by where they haven’t showed up to the scheduled removal date and they can’t figure out why I’ve been deleted from the schedule. Never again will I or anyone I know drop a dime at this horrific store.
I wanted to share my experience today with one of the store clerks in the Macys there in Tampa. I drove from Kissimmee to Tampa for a meeting. I was feeling out of place so I stopped in to purchase a dress rather than wearing pants. I picked a green dress and the woman who helped me, helped looked up my account since I also didn’t have my card. Her service went above and beyond. After I purchased the dress I asked her if I could change into the dress in the dressing room. She immediately said yes, she took the tags off carefully, placed the dress in the fitting room and gave me a bag for my other clothes. I wish I remembered her name but she was a taller, thin lady in the women’s section. I just wanted to share how grateful I am for her service.
I visited Macy's to return 1 item and exchange another item. The return service representative was so nice. I told her the dress was too large. She made a compliment about the dress. I told her I needed a medium. She checked the inventory and replied we have the medium in stock. I said great! point me in the right direction so I can purchase it. She replied its on the second floor. But I can return this one and charge and send the medium to your house. I replied AWESOME!!!! that will definitely work for me because I am tired I don't feel like doing too much walking. She processed my order and give me an expected arrival time. I was so excited about her friendly customer service she provided..
Worst service ever at perfume section. Language barrier is zero excuse. I came an hour before closing. 1 couple was being waited on. No issue there but 2 ladies were doing nothing, back turned no hi no can I help you… nothing Don’t come to this location if you want service or want to be waited on. These employees clearly don’t want to be there. I circled the counter slowly 3 times stopped and looked at the item I wanted… lady did not ask if I needed help or anything. Macy’s the customer service at this location is lacking severely. I am doing Xmas shopping and was ready to spend $500 on 3 perfume sets ( 150-175 ea ). I will gladly take my business to Dillard’s or Nordstrom’s . #dobetter
really wish I had something nice to say about Macy's. Bought planters, first arrived broken, and sent those back and received replacements. I went to this store and returned one of the replacements, the assistant told me I'm getting no refund because the balance shows 0, and I can either contact the customer service myself or she can do it and I need to wait for 30+min. In a crunch of time, I decided to do it myself, but she took the returned item, now their customer service says only the store can give me the refund. so you just get kicked back and forth and no one wants to give you your money back, meanwhile they would gladly take the item. never again, try to keep up Macy's!
Terrible service! I've been waiting for my sofa, which was purchased from stock, for three weeks now. The first time I waited 1.5 weeks, but on the delivery date, no one came at all. We called and it turned out no delivery was scheduled at all. Many apologized, and scheduled a new delivery in another 1.5 weeks. We received a text message that the delivery would be from so-and-so to so-and-so. I'm sitting at home, waiting. manager calls and apologizes again moved the delivery for another 4 days. Hey, guys, what are you doing there! You got money for delivery, you're wasting my time. This is unacceptable.
Wow! What started out as a nightmare because stores refuse to transfer within themselves(absurd) but I tried calling men’s department and got no where! So I branched out to other departments, sure enough Manager Ashley Morris in M.A.C answered and got all my information and made someone call me. We needed a specific size & style because Brandon location couldn’t have it shipped. Liz the personal shopper completed my order and got me the pants. I am grateful for them. If it wasn’t for them this would have a lower star rating. Please start picking up the phone! Men’s department!!
Macy's is my go-to place for formal wear. Normally, they go on Saturdays because they have deals. If you're signed up for email notifications, you will receive coupons that really come in handy. Normally, if I forget my coupon, the cashier will have one today the cashier made me feel like I was doing something wrong asking to use a coupon. Nevertheless, after she got clarification from a manager the coupon was fine, and it saved me over $10 on my daughter's dress. The moral of the story is don't let them deter you from get a deal, especially in this economy lol.
Kim Brown (K. Renaa!) is about the best the come. She helped me purchase a mattress and box spring for my mother very recently--I could not have asked for anyone sharper, kinder, one-of-a-kind. She taught me a thing or two about mattresses, and was a joy to talk to all the while. A smarty, a beauty--I left Macy's feeling elevated the whole day after talking to her. Pleased and honored to have purchased this furniture from such a special female. All the best to you, Kim! Thank you and take good care of you :) :) :)
Is there a lower score I can give??? There is a Russian women in the men's department, she has been there a couple years, she is the worst...everyone complains about her, customers, employees yet she is still employed. She may be the worst retail employee EVER. I won't go back as long as she's employed. She is rude and clueless. She HAS to be sleeping with someone to keep her job...she's THAT BAD. Go to Westshore, don't go to Citrus Park Macy's just because they employ such an awful woman.
It was fine. It's a pretty good Macy's, as they go. It's probably a B store? They have decent brands but not the best. They we're out of three different styles of shoe I wanted to try on. Finding a pair of pants takes patience, dedication, and a willingness to thumb through thousands of disorganized pairs. This, an hour after opening. Already chaotic. Ultimately, I found pants and shoes, and the woman helping me in the shoe department was perfectly lovely. I appreciated her help and friendliness.
Chanel Department didn't have Mademoiselle body cream.I checked availability before to go there. They confirmed they have it ready to pick it up. I wanted to buy the perfume the person there didn't want to apply 20% for fragrances purchase. I have the rewards card. She said I needed a coupon. Is that newI am very disappointed and surprised. She didn't want to make a sale. I don't understand what's going on in that store. Very bizarre.
4/7/23 No wonder so many Macy's are closed. Overpriced with little to No staff to help you. Dressing rooms & Cashiers scarce. Lots of merchandise no one seems to be buying & it is Easter/Passover weekend. Longtime Macy's customer( > 2 decades) cashier required that I had to fill out a new Macy card application as I hadn't been there in a couple yrs. Better selection at Target or even Walmart. Disappointing. Hope Macy's reaches out to me.
I gave 3stars because I have visited Macy's over the years, and I have a great experience at other stores, I have met the staff in New York and LA, work on projects with them, but when my niece and I visit this location, I was so disappointed. She not from this country and the staff were rude, yes the stores by the time she had finished shopping and they decide not to cash us she had to leave everything. I expected better from them.
Store was nice inside, shelves put away nearly and staff friendly...when you could find them. Directions to the online order counter were not particularly clear. However, the gentleman behind the desk was quite nice and we spoke about hockey for a bit. It's pretty cold inside. Prices are...a bit much and there isn't much of a plus size women's selection that *doesn't* look like "couch" or "'Misery' villain".
I struggled to find assistance at the make-up counters for the first 12 minutes that I walked around. The young lady near the Tarte make-up was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. She ensured all my questions were answered and worked diligently to balance her time between me and two other customers. I can respect her efforts working within the conditions of being short-staffed in the middle of a week day.
I went to store today to return some items I got online. The guy at the costumer services was very professional and nice. At certain point he turn around and asked a question to an African American lady who said she was the supervisor. She was unprofessional, disrespectfully and rude. No costumer service at all . I believe her name is Sara. When I asked for the supervisor she said was her. Very disappointed
Is there any better department store to shop? I do mostly returns from online shopping. And they couldn't be more helpful. They are patient with my tons of returns, without receipts or as I look up my online order#. It's stressful for me when I finally get to the store to return the accumulated items. And they have a generous return & there's always a sale & I get quality items & pretty things ⭐️
Perfume Counters are Bomb! Very helpful and gave me some samples with my purchase. I recently got into trying all the samples and they mostly help me decide on my next product purchase. Women’s Shoe department is lacking sizes and employees. Didn’t have my size and also didn’t try hard to help me find it at Macy’s. I sat right there in the Macy’s shoe department and ordered the shoes from Nordstrom.
I worked directly with Tom in the Mens Suit Department. Tom was incredibly informative and also patient with me since I am new to this type of attire. He was here and there grabbing items for me to try on and also providing great styling tips. Tom not only deserves a raise, but he also should be recognized as one of the best most informative workers I have talked to at any store.
After we arrived home we noticed the Jean's still had the security tag. No big I'd just have to make a return trip. Fortunately I was going to be there the following day. When I returned to get the tag removed the manager was very accommodating. So much so that for the inconvenience he returned 15% of the purchase price back to our charge account. Very nice of him!
Just a walk through, looking for the rest rooms but they were really hard to find and vey few employees to ask. Also when we found the men's room you'd think the ladies room would be next to it. It was in some other place and you had go go down a long lonely hallway to get to it. Even I was apprehensive. Next time I'll just go the the rest rooms at the food court.
Well it is not Marshall Fields but times change and Macy's is the best dept. store chain left. Great selection and good prices but service is hit or miss. I understand the pressure department stores are under in the marketplace and appreciate Macy's efforts to stay relevant in today's retail climate. Also they still carry Frango Mints so that's a plus.
Cashiers don't pay attention and don't listen. Prior to my purchase I was inquiring on my points and credits. They failed to listen and charged me full price. After arguing with me, I eventually gave up and just had them return my purchase. They were more worried about gossip and other things that they just freely charged me. Place is trash.
Terrible service. Me and my friend were testing out a couch we were OBVIOUSLY going to buy on the third floor, and then this lady walks up to us and kicks us OUT of the couch. Then proceeded to tell us we couldn’t sit on the couch, walking out we saw a man LOUNGING on a 3rd floor couch. If I could I would rate Macy’s 0 stars.
I was very pleased with the great variety of merchandise in this store. Many styles in clothes and shoes to try. Their "Last Act" section had comfortable prices in merchandise that was very good. Unfortunately, this location is also very far from me. I'll remember to visit every time I'm in town.
It's the holiday season and I'm in Macy's! Back in the 1950s my mom worked in the Macy's in Manhattan where "Miracle on 34th Street" was filmed. That was over 65 years ago when I was 4 or 5 years old and It is still nostalgic for me, and this Macy's does not disappoint, hence the 5 stars.
This Macy's was impeccable! I think it must be the location (Westshore Tampa) because others I've been in look like a bargain basement yard sale. This one was clean, organized and well stocked. Only problem was there was one dressing room open in the women's dept and that was not enough.
The ladies where you purchase perfume and cologne were amazing. We spent a few dollars there but they took care of my wife and son like we were family. Would highly recommend seeing these women at work as they know their business and getting you to leave your comfort zone on fragrances.
Very run down looking store. Merchandise looked thrown on tables and not folded or arranged. Only 1 fitting room open in the very back of 2nd glory - why? There were clerk's standings around talking on personal phones or to each other. Very disappointed in whole experience.
Macy’s has high quality, name brand clothing, jewelry, shoes, cosmetics, and houseware. Store is always clean and in order and they usually have some good sales going on. I got a Calvin Klein sports bra, Calvin Klein workout pants, and DKNY workout pants all for 50% off.
Shopped at this location today. Spent $100 on what I thought was a bottle of Invictus cologne. Once I got home I unwrapped the box only to find a bottle of Zara cologne in a paper towel inside!! Will be back first thing in the morning and Macy's better make this right!!!
Prices are sky high. This one isn't organized very well and it's hard to shop. Sizes aren't kept together. I rarely come here and I don't think I've ever actually bought anything. Definitely not a place I come to often. No reason to come here with so many other options.
My husband bought me a beautiful swimsuit for my birthday from here. The sales lady was very helpful to him to find right style and size. He was even able to switch out bottoms which were a tad too big for smaller size no problem. Definitely will shop here again.
There is no customer service at this store! They do not answer their phones and when they do, they are curt, rude, never call back and hang up on you! I used the store to ship packages and they have not been received and I cannot get any help from the store!
My salesman was so great helping me find the right towels to go with a shower curtain I had purchased a while ago. He also went the extra mile to make sure we got the best discount during the sale. I will shop there more often as a result of this experience.
Sorry about Covid-19, and maybe keeping you away from shopping, but I've already packed up most of my Christmas list for everyone in the family. Prices have been fair, getting through the store has been smooth. Come on out and enjoy the library atmosphere!
I wasn't impressed with the store. They are extremely shot staffed and the place felt dirty. It appears they were doing some sort of inventory, and we kept getting in they gentleman's way The staff was extremely polite, but clearly lacking in enough help.
One star only because I have to select to post. Interest on a Macy's charge card is now a shocking and unacceptable 30.99%. I've been a cardholder of the local store from when it was Maas Brothers, then Burdines, then Macy's. Gloss is off. Buyer beware.
For the most part (a good majority) the employees are willing to help you find whatever you're looking for. The inventory is usually pretty good. The jewelry selection for men and women is decent and the sales are good. A solid 4 stars for Tampa Macy's.
Year's ago this was my favorite store to shop. The vibe and selections have gone down. The employees don't even look happy. I don't know if bringing the toy chain into the store is going to make a significant impact. Hopefully they'll bounce back

Good staff. Always makes good recommendations for fragrances when I stop in to grab a quick-buy on a fragrance I just need to stock back up on really quick. Sometimes pushy on trying to get me buy more, but I understand sales.

Not sure if it has to do with the downsizing, but there is a lot of 0roducgs no longer offered in the beauty department. Very limited selection to o what once was, in ever department there seemed to be minimal variety.
Customer service is exceptional. The sales staff are a little pushy and don't give you much space to shop on your own. Felt a little suffocated in the perfume department, but overall, the store is clean and well kept.

This is the most significant Macy’s in the Tampa area. But not big as NYC. It has a backstage on the 3rd floor. Decent amount of associate will make sure customers get helped at any department.
This Macys at West shore mall superb. They also have furniture collection on the third floor besides other things and everything else. Sales person’s were good knowledgeable and helpful.
Larger than St Pete store, cleaner, better organized, short on some products and can only order for you. All in all a nicer store. Still short on staff and some fitting rooms closed.
Pretty well stocked and had great deals on many items. Only downside was I wish they had more variety between high end jewelry and costume jewelry. They need more in-between options.
The ladies Christina and Diana in the perfume department were amazing and friendly. Their customer service truly made my family’s day :) will come back to purchase more from them ❤️
This is by far my favorite Macys. They always have a great selection of men's clothes and shoes. They also have a decent selection of sports gear such as hats, shirts and jerseys.
Store was really packed, costumers everywhere. Makes it a little hard to be helped by an employee. But variety of beauty products, fragrances, sunglasses, jewelry and others.
I LOVE the Tampa Macy’s especially the ladies apparel where Ms. Lucy and Connie keep everything neat and orderly unlike some other Macy’s I’ve been to in Orlando.
This is my favorite Macy's in the entire world. The staff at this store are so pleasant and kind! I love the layout and the "backstage" upstairs has GREAT deals!
Customer service and staff is amazing . They are courteous and they let you browse a enough on your own and always ask if you need anything . Just perfect .
Found a really nice suit jacket here. Unfortunately, my size wasn't available, but I received great help with placing my order online for my size.
Like the fragrance counters and Chanel is my destination. Thank you for being patient while I go from counter to counter like a bee on flowers.
This used to be a nice store but it’s not anymore. Also used to have the best women’s dept in the area, but now it’s all junky cheap clothes.

Good experience, lots of sales in departments, clearance is full, just wished they had more selection for the Tom Ford Cologne.
I love this place. Not busy, so it's easy to get in and out if need be. But if you have the time, there is plenty to look at.

Probably my least favorite Macy’s in the area. They don’t have any maternity items, which is disappointing.
