Bueno ami SUV toyota se hizo un kit de cambio de bomba, y pues ya estado ahí les dije que vieran que mas ocupaba yo savia que ya era hora de su servicio de millaje ósea aceite bujías etc. También yo savia que mi SUV se jalaba para un lado y ellos también Melo hicieron saber , bueno al hacer el cambio de bujías me hicieron saber que no se ocupaba pues era un gasto innecesario pues estaban como nuevas, lo cual me gustó el detalle porque pues en cualquier otro taller por tal de meterles más dinero no le hubiera importado, y me dieron la opción de decidir WOW esto para mi fue un gran detalle departe dela honestidad del equipo que trabaja en él taller ami me recomendaron este taller tienen muy buenos mecánicos sobre todo tienen un especialista en carros de lujo este señor trabajaba en otro lugar tono lo conozco en persona pero la persona que me dijo sí y pues por eso también fui ase taller porque hoy trabaja aquí creo sé apeida IÑIGEZ bueno estando en el lugar hubo un problema no con mi SUV con otro y pues los muchachos preocupados por aséeme esperar entro un supervisor llamado RAÚL muy apenado por la tardanza pero por mi no tenía yo prisa y luego entra otro supervisor Adolfo igual muy apenado con la tardanza lo cual ami no me importaba pues estaba muy a gusto y relajada el el la sala relajada tomando un rico café viendo tv hay y ese sillón que te da sueño no se que tiene la sala pero te relaja eso si pase frío llame daba ganas dé quitarle la cobija y dormirme estaba yo bien a gusto, bueno para terminar se los recomiendo sobretodo la honestidad de los supervisores y la verdad el precio si fue bastante bueno me ahore bastante felicidades muchachos espero que esa honestidad y trato que tienen no cambien Well, my Toyota SUV made a pump change kit, and since I was already there I told them to see that I occupied the most sap that it was time for their bone mileage service, oil, spark plugs etc. I also knew that my SUV was pulling to one side and they also let Melo know, well when they changed the spark plugs they let me know that they did not deal with it because it was an unnecessary expense because they were like new, which I liked the detail because then In any other workshop for putting in more money he would not have cared, and they gave me the option to decide WOW this for me was a great detail from the honesty of the team that works in the workshop to me they recommended me this workshop they have very good mechanics on They all have a specialist in luxury cars, this man worked in another place. not with my SUV with another one and well, the boys worried about assuring me, wait, a supervisor called RAÚL entered, very sorry for the delay but I was not in a hurry and then another supervisor A Dolfo was also very sorry for the delay, which I did not care about because I was very comfortable and relaxed in the relaxed room having a delicious coffee watching TV there is and that armchair that makes you sleepy I do not know what the room has but it relaxes you that if Cold pass call made me want to take off the blanket and fall asleep I was well at ease, well to finish I recommend it above all the honesty of the supervisors and the truth the price if it was good enough

WENT TO MOTEC OFF MIRAMAR ROAD ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO AND HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, SPENT $1200.00 ON 2 NEW FRONT STRUTS/SHOCKS BECAUSE THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS LEAKING AND IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU REPLACE THEM IN PAIRS. GOT THE CAR BACK AND NOTICED IT WAS LEAKING ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BY THE SHOCK AREA AND CALLED MOTEC ON A FRIDAY TO LET THEM KNOW AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT A GOOD DAY TO COME BY SO MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MONDAY AND DROVE THE CAR TO AND FROM MOTEC FROM CARLSBAD IN THE DRIZZLE.MY CAR IS A BEAUTIFUL 280ZX WITH ONLY 42K MILES AND LOOKS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD AND HAS BEEN IN 4 MAGAZINES. EVEN THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR LOOKS 2 YEARS OLD. INSTEAD OF TAKING THE AREA APART AND CLEANING THE SHOCK AND FILLING IT TO THE RIGHT LEVEL I WAS TOLD THAT THEY CHANGE SHOCKS ALL THE TIME AND IT IS NORMAL FOR THEM TO LEAK A LITTLE, THEY ALSO COULD NOT TELL ME WHEN IT WOULD STOP LEAKING. I NEVER WET MY CAR AND DROVE DOWN THERE FOR NOTHING AND INSTEAD OF FIXING THE PROBLEM THEY SENT ME AWAY WITH THE CAR STILL LEAKING. ONE MUST WONDER IF THEY OVERFILL BRAKE FLUID AND OIL AND ANTIFREEZE??? I HAVE SINCE PLACED THE CHARGE IN DISPUTE STATUS WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY. I TALKED TO A NISSAN SPECIALIST AND HE CONFIRMED THAT JUST LIKE ANTIFREEZE, BRAKE FLUID, AND OIL..IF THE SHOCK WOULD HAVE BEEN FILLED AT THE RIGHT LEVEL THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY LEAKS. SO NOW AFTER SPENDING 1200.00 I AM IN THE SAME BOAT I WAS IN BEFORE THEY WORKED ON THE CAR BUT ON THE DRIVER SIDE INSTEAD OF PASSENGER SIDE. THEY COULD HAVE EASILY FIXED THE PROBLEM WHEN I INCONVENIENTLY WENT BACK BUT WORKING ON OTHER REPAIRS AND LEAVING EARLY WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A PAID 1200.00 CUSTOMER THAT WAS UNHAPPY BECAUSE OF POOR WORK.

I took my 2007 Tundra to Motec. There was a whining howling noise coming from my rear end (on the Tundra) upon acceleration. Motec duplicated the sound and called me later that day and was under the impression of a cheap fix, until they opened the rear differential for inspection and metal chunks came out of the rear differential and was circulating through my differential gear oil. The truck ran fine when I brought it there so I was hesitant at first when Nick said my rear end was shot and needed a new one. He quoted me $ and 3 days for the repair. I told him to go ahead and make the necessary repairs. Nick called me every day with an accurate progress update, including my rear brakes were near shot upon a complementary safety inspection. They replaced the rear brakes, only thing I can say is it was an excellent deal, they went over and beyond on this one, and I'm thankful for Motec. It was obvious to me that Motec did everything they could to keep my bill at what it was originally quoted. I know this because when I showed up on the 3rd day to pick up my truck, he brought me to a box with all my original parts in it and I made a thorough inspection of my parts as to make sure they did indeed need to be replaced, and they did. He showed me my rear brake pads too, I'm glad Motec got that taken care of. It's been over 500 miles since the repair, wanted to wait til I was past the break in period before I posted my review. I hope my 5 stars cancel out somebody else's 1; negative reviews do not belong here, I've been to enough repair shops to know.. I am thankful for an honest repair shop like Motec, who thrives on happy customers. I will definitely refer Motec to a friend or family member. And anybody with a Dwight Schrute bobble head on their desk is ok with me. Thank you Motec!

After living with half our air conditioning working in our 2007 Santa Fe with the dual climate control and taking it to Drew Hyundai (now Penske) asking them to check it out (car was still under warranty when we started having issues) they said everything was fine and they could not find any problems. Months later we took it back still with same issue but now car was just out of warranty and Drew told us the climate control panel was bad and needing replacement at approximately $900 dollars. We took our issue to corporate as we were telling them it wasn't working properly for quite a few months to no avail and they refused repairing anything under warranty. We took our car to Motec and they did an air conditioning wellness check knowing we were expecting some expensive air flow diverter thingy. To our surprise and happiness, they only had to recharge the system and the dual climate was working as expected for just over $100. I'll be visiting Penske as the service person still works there and tell him about how we saved about $800. After we returned to pick up the car, Steve was nice enough to spend some time with me looking at my Cooper while I asked about some issues I was having with it. After we return from our trip to the desert, I'll be bringing in the Cooper for some much needed maintenance. I highly recommend Debbie and Motec for your service needs. You only get one chance at honesty and Motec has held that trust every visit and I expect nothing less in the future.

Motec Auto Care is a caring, loving and professional environment. My experience with them was absolutely great. I just moved to SD bought a car that broke down immediately after purchased and I needed a reliable car and I needed one NOW. They generally cared about my situation and helped me in my time of need, by getting me the cheapest rate possible and still providing great service towards my car. I know they were doing and giving their best when they worked on my car to make it reliable. Others simply didn't care and where unaffordable. I love the staff and what they have done to my car; they have brought it back to life. They assured me when I left if I had any problems after their service to bring it back and they will take care of it and anything else that is wrong. I highly recommend them. They have me as a loyal customer in SD. Thank you very much for your kindness, help and for being there for me in my time of need and hardship and for continuing to help me if I have any problems. Thank you Debbie, Oscar and all the other staff members I didn’t get to meet who help make this possible, I and my family are extremely grateful.

Terrible, terrible, terrible! I'm speaking about the diagnosis that was $113 and what they found were not issues relating to the car not starting. They wanted to charge me over $800 in parts and labor!! For something that didn't need replacing to fix my car. They were just guessing on what's the problem and they were not honest about it because I had my real mechanic look at it and it was not that serious. Thank you Gil. Honestly Gil's Automotive in Escondido is where it's at. It was only $375 to fix it including an oil change. The hospitality on this place is the only reason why it's getting a 1 start and not 0. They will give you a ride to school or wherever nearby or pay for the Uber. But it's not worth it by how much they charge. They are trying to fix everything they can even if unnecessary just to get more money. Very dishonest people. Don't go here.

This shop is great, i dropped in for an estimate to r&r the differential bushings on my genesis coupe. I met Raul ,he told me the book said 2 hours gave me a price. It took the dealer 2 days to replace 1 bushing the first time, and yes it was under warranty. This time they are not. I asked what they charge to install the bushing. They told me they didn't have the tool to do the job. Then recommended replacing the subframe at a cost of $3700.**. It come with the bushings installed. I still don't know what to think about that. I dropped the car off at motec at 8 am the next day , told them I'll be back at 1:30 after work. They said they'd call me when they finished. I got that call has I was walking up to the shop. Great job guys . I hope you don't mind if I keep coming back. Thank you.

Dang! I've become a loyal customer after my last experience at Motec...I had some repairs done about a year ago and it's been good for a while (I drive a lot) but had some oil leaking :( so I took my truck in to have them look at it and it was the same problem! They part totally failed at no fault of MoTec and even though the parts company refused to help them out and take give them a new part, MoTec TOTALLY STOOD BEHIND THEIR WORK and replaced it for free. I just bought the part myself (which is more then fair) I don't know any other mechanics that would do that... I'll be telling my family to come here from now on.

We bring our work trucks here to get repairs all the time. The staff is always friendly (special shout out to Nick & Jessica who are always above and beyond with their helpfulness and patience). They don't mind when we shop around for other quotes, though there hasn't been a time when they weren't the best priced one. The repairs are timely, even when they need to order parts, and we're never made to feel like a drag on inconvenience, as we've felt at other places. Motec makes us feel like they're happy to see us and happy to hear from us, which makes us more than happy to go and hear from them!

After the dealership failed to diagnose and repair the A/C leak in my 2006 GMC Sierra I was fortunate enough to find MoTec Auto Repair. I dropped it off at 10:00 am on a very busy day. Raul strongly suspected a leaking condenser. Within an hour he had confirmed the problem and had the new one installed, the circuit flushed filled and tested by 3:00 pm for a little over $600. I think we have probably all felt hustled by a shop or two in the industry! When I find an honest, competent auto shop I stick to them like glue! I am super impressed with MoTec !

They cant manage a simple oil change right, i would avoid this place at all cost, it will take over an hoir each time, they will end up putting way to much oil, twice now. The worst part is when i came back for them to fix, kept me there over an hour to eventually remove the access, and the tech told me that they never did anything last time, that they just pretty much held my car for an hour to return to me the same, that's an insult in my books. Now people that's for an oil change, would you trust them with anything else. I definitely wont.

Hands down the best auto repair experience I've ever had, dare I say best customer service I've ever had. Raul and his team deliver quality work and do not cut corners in anything even when it would be much more convenient and cost-effective for them to just settle and do the bare minimum. Motec Auto care is too good, so don't tell anybody else about them (otherwise we will all be at the end of a long line of customers if you spread the word). Here the customer is king or should I say family. Instead of expensive tests and explorations, they came up with a simple inexpensive sollution. I don’t really write reviews, but it always good to recognize when someone has a good heart. My car broke down near the mechanics stop even though I was not planning on going there. I did not want to call towing nor deal with fixing the car by myself. I walked down to Adolfo, who was nice enough to listen to my inquiry first and then came to help me and got the car fixed as It was a minor issue with the battery. Unprofessional stuff. They can do some simple things as others. I tried to get alignment on my tuned car(explained what is done and what kind of parts are installed), but after 2 hours of waiting - nothing finished!!! They messed with everything and released my car to go home as is!!! They just said: our system doesn’t know how to alight your car(has some upgrades). Then I pulled my car to the right guy and he fixed that mess for 10 min!!! And it drives as a king! Shame on you!

I was genuinely impressed by my experience at Motec Auto Care. Owner Debbie Wright is not only the cutest mechanic you'll ever meet, but she and her staff are also the friendliest. Rather than take my money, they diagnosed my issue for free, and actually advised against doing the expensive repair. Sean, one of her mechanics, speaks with a very heavy Irish accent. He not only told me the sad truth about my old car, but entertained me in the process.

I just recently used Motec to get my oil changed and they were very friendly and had me in and out Quick. They offer very fair pricing and compared to where I went before the cost for a oil change was $50 less. They have a wonderful and very cozy waiting room. Nice couches, clean bathrooms, vending machines, a pool table, TV, etc. The gentleman who took my info was very friendly and answered all my questions. Its definitely my go to place now.

Nice place! Very comfortable waiting area while they work on your car. I came in with a windshield wiper fluid reservoir that was leaking! Wasn't sure if it needed to be replaced completely. They were up front and said it could just be the hose. So I brought it in the same day, they looked at it, found out the hose was cracked, and replaced it. And for free since it was such a simple job! Very reasonable people and I'm very grateful. Thanks !

I took a used car here for a pre-purchase inspection. Motec mechanics found over $1,000 worth of repairs that needed to be done on the car. I then took the same car to my usual trusted mechanic who charged twice as much for the inspection but found all the same problems, so I'm going to use Motec from now on. Also, this place has the nicest customer waiting lounge I've seen anywhere in San Diego, better than any doctor's office.

I came here last year (I believe) for an oil change with my own oil and filters, and they made it super simple and easy to get done. I've come back now to have them do the oil change again, and it's running smooth. You can wait in the lobby if you've schedule a time (do the mornings if possible), and can have some coffee they got available while you wait. Friendly service and they tend to know the right questions to ask.

Over the weekend, our SUV's tire was losing air and we were already halfway through our road trip so we used fix-a-flat. I called Motec and spoke with Adolfo and he was so helpful and friendly. I brought my car in and he was able to get it checked out and told me it was good and that the leak was fixed. He was very helpful and friendly. He gave me sound advice as well.

My car was in an awful collision. it was towed 20 mins to this shop, the employee was completely inconsiderate and unhelpful. he refused to take the car because we didn’t have a picture of the other guys insurance information, despite us making a police report and the officer collecting the information. he had a tone, was unnecessarily condescending and unsympathetic.

Great Auto Care Service! My car needed an oil change. As usual, an overall checkup was performed by the Motec service technician. The oil change was performed in a timely manner, and satisfactory cost. I was on my way. I really appreciate being informed of any future recommended service to keep my car in running condition. I dropped in for their "new customer special" of an oil change and wiper blade replacements for a little over $40, and had them replace my brake pads as well. They also swapped out my air filter without charging for labor. I was out the door in just a couple hours. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, and I felt that my car was in good hands.

Adolfo and Rand are Amazing! They charged me probably 50% less than other places quoted, they drove me to the gym while I waited for repairs, and they did a great job on my car! Thought it was the high pressure power steering hose that was leaking. Motec did a comprehensive look at the steering rack and power system. Found the leak was in the return line. Not expensive at all. I was getting ready for a track day so they made the car track ready and I had a great time. Great job Motec!
