Dirty place, Scorpions are everywhere inside the house, the owner is extremely rude, odd smell in the rooms, cobbwebs above the beds, no privacy, this is not a private location. We were kicked out by the owner after 2 nights, with no warning, because we "made noise" while trying to kill the scorpions we found. See the photo for the correspondence, where I ask the owner to help us deal with the scorpions, instead he yells at us and demands we leave the next morning. He never even warned us there were scorpions inside the house, despite us having a baby staying with us. Worst experience. A few more details of our experience NO PRIVACY - the owner can walk into your “private apartment” by simply walking through a curtain. He lives upstairs. The owner can hear our conversation, we can hear his footsteps. There is a lights out conversation stop policy at 10.30pm even on weekends. The shower has a translucent roof that is weird, affording no privacy even In the bathroom. the owner went into our rooms without our permission. SCORPIONS - we found many of them in only 3 days. We notified the owner but he did nothing to help. in fact he yelled at us to quieten down even after we asked for help, and told us it was normal to have scorpions In his house. this is of course in addition to huge huntsman and other creatures. Scorpions inside the house however was a line too far. DIRTY - cobwebs above our beds, weird smell in the house and beds were not cleaned properly. NOISE - owner has a bird cage near the rooms which wake us up at 5am. OWNER - the worst part of the trip. he was rude, terrible to talk to, abusive and horrible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Don’t let your accomodation ruin your experience of Tassie Avoid Avoid Avoid Edit - response to owner: "outdoors were brought indoors"... the irony. You do realise scorpions are dangerous? You do also realise that you have a duty of care to let your guests know scorpions run rampant inside your house? Or does your compulsive lying help you sleep at night?

" To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment" ( Ralph Waldo Emerson). Dear Craig & Adam may you forever stand proud as my stay at your colinsvale paradise has resignated in my memories as one of the best holidays I had ever. From the gardens to the house from the views to the freshest of air. All of which is just another ace card in the deck of what this place has to offer. I was quite emotional to leave. After 5 nights in this mystical realm I've grown and will forever have Wonder memories that will forever stay with me. Their compassion and respect amongst their extensive knowledge of Tasmania is impeccable. Don't waste your time and money on a two night stay because this place is so much more majestic than a two day stay. Much love from Clark,Ella,Kaiya & Jarvis

This place is almost lost in a hidden valley, misty and green. The house, built so obviously by hand and with love, consisting of exposed stones and lots of wood, was a delight.Fire lit in the evening, made it cosy when the wind blew so hard outside. And we couldn’t find a thing from Ikea!Great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and Craig was always there for information and attention should we need directions to anywhere. Lovely place for us all.......we ranged in age from 86 to 13.........! Recommded.

Lullingstone is the most perfect getaway! My husband and I stayed last month with our daughter and two overseas friends. Craig and Adam are fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We loved relaxing in their beautiful garden and watching the flora and fauna up close. The house is stunning, so many extra little details and very comfortably furnished. A true home away from home. We can't wait to visit again! Thank you for having us! :)

Recommend this place for anyone looking to check out Hobart. Have a sit down by the pond and absorb the tranquility. The Wallaby and ducks were a bonus. Thank you to Craig, our host.

What a great place to stay. It’s a hidden gem, less than a 30 min. drive from Hobart. The hosts were incredible kind. We had the whole ground floor for our selfs. It has 3 bed rooms, a kitchen, bathroom, living and a small gym. We loved the garden. I definitely recommend this place!
