Park
"A fantastic & well-maintained large urban park in the midst of busy towns Barking and Ilford and adjacent to magnificent Barking Park! Even though both Barking Park and Loxford Park very close to each other, they are managed by two different local authorities - Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge respectively! The Loxford Park features an excellent Beach Sports, Children’s Play Area, Cricket Pitches, Football Pitches, Basketball Court & Multi Use Games Area, Outdoor Gym, Table Tennis Facilities, Public Toilets, Skate Park, Tennis Courts, Trim Trail, Green for Wildlife, Edible Trees! One of the most amazing & unique features of Loxford Park is Beach Sports - a sandy beach in the middle of an urban green park!? What a marvellous addition! There are beach volleyball and football courts in the Loxford Sandy Beach! Can't travel to beach in the summer - just come here - literally, you will be transported into sandy beaches - a feel-good beach moment complete with golden sands! The beach courts are available for hire by anyone on a casual basis and to clubs or organisations for regular sessions or events"
"Nice and Green park"
"This park suffers from the mixed crowd that come here with anti social behavior present on most visits"
"Park it's okay but they should make space for people to play Football the same way they did for basketball and more cameras nar the roundabout in the roundabout and where the sand is because there are people smoking cannabis in roundabout and where people play in the sand and put police Officer patrolling the area daily every hour so it's safe for people and stop Drug dealing"
"Great park, early morning you have walkers, joggers, dog walkers and sports people"

The beach courts are available for hire by anyone on a casual basis and to clubs or organisations for regular sessions or events. Another key feature of this park is the Public Toilets by the Loxford Lane. Generally speaking, public toilets in the parks are either closed for good or removed altogether! The park has well connected web of concrete pathways suitable for any weather for both cyclist and pedestrians! The Loxford Park is flanked by roads and residential areas in all three sides with access while the fourth is restricted by the school boundary wall. The park is used by the locals for exercising, jogging, resting, relaxing, running, playing, enjoying the green! Plenty of mature trees, bushes, flower beds & reeds provide plenty of shades under the sun for visitors to have a picnic or sit down! One of the key usage of the Park is the shortcut/through walking path between Loxford Lane and Eton Road and other residential areas/streets A well-equipped square-shaped Trim Trail is literally welcoming you to have a go at various equipments throughout the trail. The Park has a fantastic play area featuring a fenced play areas for younger children and huge tunnel, mounds to run up and down, boulders and planting and a nest swing that can be enjoyed together by children of all ages and abilities. Having said that, lack of accessible play equipments is hugely noticeable! We really need to increase accessible play equipments in order to allow anyone, truly anyone, explore the open space and learn through playing - it could be a much needed respite for parents/carers/Guardians! Large Circular Skate Park is another unique attractions with 4 entrances with steps and surrounded by bushes, mature trees and flower beds - kind of hidden treasure behind wall of greens. It is one level lower than the ground. It doesn't seem to be used that much for Skating even though the edges, ramps, rails are of good quality! Remarkably, the small circular circuit becomes a very popular circuit for the elders - a very quite, safe and blissful walking/jogging route with benches for resting, and with natural music - tweets, chirping of birds, rustling leaves...... Overall, a pleasant park with characters!
Nice and Green park. Play & Exercise are is not really well maintained by council. Kids play area need attention as swings almost all are broken or not well balanced. Need more tables for public and their must be mud track along whole park for long walk or running. Rest this is nice place and I am visiting this place from last 10 years and every year seagulls come in this park to stay from November till end February. Always happy to feed and visit them on weekends.
Restrooms
Closed most of time.
Dog-friendliness
People bring their dogs for morning and evening walk.
Picnic area
This is not really picnic park. But it has kids play area. Street car parking is another problem.
This park suffers from the mixed crowd that come here with anti social behavior present on most visits. It's a shame because the facilities are quite good. There are a number of outdoor gym facilities and the kids playground has just been redone. A tennis court is free and a basketball court is available as is an all weather cricket pitch. Behind a fence which unfortunately is rarely opened is a beach volleyball Court using sand from the London Olympics. A skatepark is in the old rose garden. It sounds great but the anti social behaviour means you should be on your guard.
Park it's okay but they should make space for people to play Football the same way they did for basketball and more cameras nar the roundabout in the roundabout and where the sand is because there are people smoking cannabis in roundabout and where people play in the sand and put police Officer patrolling the area daily every hour so it's safe for people and stop Drug dealing. I Hope you take This Advice To improve Loxford Area For People That want to to see this area as safe as possible for anyone Woman and Children And Elders
Great park, early morning you have walkers, joggers, dog walkers and sports people. The lunchtime and afternoon sees families and the evening has a mix of everyone. Valentines mansion is a wonderful building worth a photo on anyone's camera. The mansion has its own cafe plus there is a cafe over by the children playgrounds. The lake is clean with fish and a range of birds. The boating lake is open but check for opening times. Its great to see so many people using and taking pride in one of the boroughs largest parks.
Great little park for the local residents. However, the facilities needs urgent attention especially the inner walking paths has too many potholes. Some of the facilities require urgent attention to avoid serious accidents. You will find empty bottles and rubbish on display inside the park. Redbridge Council must address this as a matter of urgency & upgrade this and put some flowers/plants which are no where to be seen inside the park.
Good park with lots of swings and playing slides for kids. Loxford park has designated place for gymnastics and exercise with lots of equipment installed. You have cycle space as well in central . Loxford park has basket ball place and there is sand park as well where players play sandball. This is lovely park with lots of tree and flat area where u can play football as well. It’s small but loaded with lots of features
Good place to take kids with, great for morning walk and huge ground for open sports. Have kids play area as well which is good but only problem is only 1 toddler swing available which is annoying at times as swing is toddler's best thing & you hardly keep em for 5 minutes and there's long queue waiting for it again, must be 4 to 6. Facilities need attention and improvement.
Easily one of the best parks for excercise in England. Only been twice as I don't live the area. I went there this morning and noticed for first they even had a sandy volley ball space. Dip bar and monkey bar that you can use for pretty much any variation of pull ups, thick T bars which you can use for Bulgarian split squats - fantastic if you love out door excercise
Need maintenance in park and regular cleaning as locals and kids always making a mess. Probably need PCO's to regular to do routine walks as kids loitering in evenings. Nice size. Nice training area again need cleaning & maintenance. The football pitch just repainted and floor repaired.
Kids always enjoy and love this place
Playground
Kids can enjoy lot of play area, climbing, swings and slide
Dog-friendliness
U can bring dog in the park
Picnic area
Lot of trees and seating area to have food and outing
Took grandchildren n they enjoyed it with all the play things there But alas it started raining n had to return They were very unhappy bcoz they wanted more time to play We had told them abt 2-3 hrs playing n had taken snacks too …
Frequent user of Loxford park, has a good playground that has equipment for all ages. Unfortunately the ice cream van keeps it’s diesel engine running producing a lot of fumes not the best for children within the vicinity.
I love the park mainly with the Sand Pitch for Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball. The England Beach Soccer team trains there and I believe this is excellent for the local community to have such a place on their doorstep.
It would be good if the toilet facilities were available. Everything was locked up I was there last Sunday afternoon. The park was full of children and families but no running toilet facilities …
Very nice park needs cleaning too much dog poo everywhere and tha grass needs cutting few drug addicts hanging around not a good sight they could actually make this place nice with a bit of upkeep
Good place for outdoor gym and stroll. There is plenty of outdoor group activities here during evenings and weekends - eg martial arts, cricket, basketball, food all or so on.
We got locked in. The person who locks the gates didnt even inform us. Ring a bell oe something. FYI the park still had around 50 people inside. And its dirty like very dirty
It was really nice just before the queen can came now it's not as clean as it use to be and see big rats every where please do something that is the heritage of redbridge
Green and greenery well maintained by govt there is gym type that not maintained well there is kids playing area
Playground
football you can play there
Very good basketball court and lots of space for dogs to run around but also lots of bad people there which makes the park uncomfortable for some people
Good for walk around, kids can play football and local play area but stay alert from some dodgy youngsters at times trying to snatch things from people.
The play area for children is quite nice now, but the rest of the park is dirty and full of rats. Plus the druggies that hang around. Not cool.
It is a huge park with many facilities but not well maintained. No dedicated parking and parking slots around the park is myostly full.
Good park for one to play . Had kids play area. For those who love to play cricket there is pitch and plenty of place to run around
Great green space for sports and outdoor gym. The kids playground is good and in great shape. Toilets are usually very clean
Nice, not crowded. But nowadays few guys come into the park and start bothering women unnecessarily... Be careful of that!
Very nice and clean park. The disabled tiolet was clean too. First time went there with wheelchair. Great event was had.
Nice park for walks and watching wanna be zombies playing full games of cricket ignoring all Covid guidelines!
Really nice playground for children. There is something for toddlers and for older children in there.
Lovely park, good children play area, gym equipment area and some body weight excersise area. …
Not a safe park to go to. Especially with all the knife crime around this particular area. Stay away
Love it :) Get coffee from local Costa and you are sorted for good time with your little ones.
