Dear Nigel and Team, You were appointed in my time of grief to handle my husbands funeral and take care of all requests and details that the family wanted but instead yourself and your staff did not adhere to anything I had asked. The stress that was caused upon myself and my family in the hardest time of our lives was unacceptable. We had to constantly make contact with you to make sure you were doing your job and our requests were adhered to but unfortunately there were many things that weren’t completed. Included in your services we were advised mass books would be provided at the mass but they were not. We had to constantly contact your office with no call back which was very frustrating so we could find out when we could have the viewing. We also had to follow up the day before the service to find out what time the cars were coming or if any cars were even organised to then find out that we couldn’t drive past the house after the church when we were advised by your staff that we would be. There were never any announcements made on the day to help guide our family and friends to the correct location at the cemetery. The driver of the hearse was outside the church advising family and friends to head to northern park memorial which is located across the road to Fawkner cemetery. As a result of this many family and friends did not get to attend the burial, how can someone be so incapable. I can not elaborate enough the amount of stress and anxiety that you have caused to my family during our time of grief, not only could we not mourn through this time but we needed to do your companies job for you because you have staff members that have no regard for their job, no compassion and just plain rude when we are trying to organise the hardest thing in our life. It is unacceptable for your staff to have spoken to us with no respect and making accusations about certain family members when we were just trying to make sure our family member had the send off he deserved. As recommended funeral directors it is very clear the kind of service Lonergan and Raven provide, extremely poor! As recommended funeral directors I would not recommend you to anyone.

Lonergan & Raven recently handled the funeral of our mum. The very lovely De Arne who was our prime contact made this experience so easy and so perfect. We were at ease from the first meeting and her warmth and ability to understand the essence of Mum gave us great comfort. She steered us in the right direction always and gave us space to personalise the chapel with mums treasures and handled all the official requirements. We had many comments of how beautiful the service was and I would strongly urge anyone to not hesitate in choosing Lonergans to take care of their loved one. Another word of advice, if you have any forewarning of needing their services make contact prior to that need. Knowing who was collecting mum the night she passed, and having a face and a name was the best thing we had done. It made a distressing situation so much easier. Thank you De Arne and team. We will be forever greatful.

Lonergan & Raven were just fantastic in handling the funeral of my dear mum. This was my first time being responsible for organising anything like this, and the wonderful De Arne just came to my rescue (thank you De Arne). Her suggestions and advice were welcomed like a sea breeze on a very hot day. Limo drivers Elf and Nigel were just great company on the way, and the catering was just superb afterwards, as commented by all those who attended. The service was just absolutely superb. Mum was a catholic, and De Arne picked out Father Martin (I left it up to her) to lead the funeral. He came to my home, and we discussed all the fine details. He led the funeral in a very sensitive and understanding way, and a wonderful person he is. Everything seems difficult when it comes to funerals, but Lonergan and Raven helped us get through it. Robert and De Arne are exceptional people - kind, generous and knowledgable. Every single thing was done for us and our dear Dad. Communication is everything and you will get all the advice you need, and more, from these good people.

What a lovely and compassionate couple. They arrived ahead of schedule and showed Mum the courtesy and grace she deserved. They were professional and understanding in their dealings with us after. A pleasure to deal with in such a sorrowful time.

Small, stuffy, little ventilation. In hot weather garden is very much lacking air to breathe. Unsuitable for more, than 40 people. Uncomfortable. More suitable for a small family affair. Intimate feel.
