Make no mistake about it. This is a bar that serves bar food, It's not mid range seafood. We decided to stop in and grab dinner. The servers were nice but the service was just ok. The bar got crowded really fast and I couldn't tell if it was inexperienced servers or a staffing shortage. I don't want to bash this place but I can't give it praise either. If you want to stop in for drinks and grab some bar food, this is your place. If you want good seafood, there are other places close by. I had the pick 3 (fried catfish, fried shrimp and popcorn shrimp. The fish wasn't seasoned or barely seasoned. The shrimp were a bit spicy and the popcorn shrimp looked like cheese curds with no flavor. My wife had the ocean wraps and clam strips (just batter and barely any clam meat). We also had the fried pickles to start with which left us with the impression that everything else would be just as good. Again, this place is a bit for some but for me, not so much. That being said, Please try this place out for yourself. This is just my perspective.

So I was craving oysters, char grilled and found this restaurant by Google search. Based on the reviews it was a bit 50/50 so I thought I'd try it for myself. Lunch time wasn't busy but it took a while to be acknowledged by waitress. (Guess I should've sat at the bar for immediate service). However the manager came over and helped. Inquired about the Rockerfeller oysters but he let me sample one since it was made different than other restaurants. The sample was great so I ordered the combo (rockerfella, loredo,Italiano)in addition to the catfish nuggets, hushpuppies and fries. Pros: hushpuppies were great in taste, catfish was good fries were fries Cons: The oysters were horrible..Presentation was 1/5. I guess it comes on rock salt that was really rock water. The oysters came out different than sampled (over dressed in spinach and cheese) couldnt find oyster and when pulled apart and so did the oyster (not in tact) the waitress never checked on me once I received my meal and paid me no attention until I flagged her for my ticket. Service could use improving. Overall I would say if you go to dine stick with the fried foods.

We arrived at 1 pm on a Saturday, ordered drinks. Ordered food about an hour later... 45 minutes go by no food, wait staff came to our table and informed us that she forgot to turn in the order and she couldn't find our ticket and asked us if we still wanted to eat. We said yes and reordered. I had ordered the Saturday special (Cajun shrimp pasta, which I clouded a side salad), it was watery tomato sauce (tasteless), the salad had a piece of aluminum foil in it. My husband ordered the shrimp gumbo (terrible, white watered down sauce with pasta... No rice). Our friend ordered the blackened shrimp salad, which was acceptable. We told the wait staff that they need to comp one of the entrees. She brought out our receipt, which had a $4 discount (by the way she charged for a dinner portion on the Cajun pasta not the Saturday special). We asked to speak to the manager (who should have came out anyway). She wasn't friendly or concerned at all.. more rude than anything. We asked her if she was aware that our order was not put in, she said, "we aren't a fast food restaurant". She ended up comping the entire bill, thank you. Definitely will not recommend!!
I ate there 3 days in a row and am going back today. The first day, I had the gumbo with dirty rice..wow, it was good. The second day I had the fish and chips, they were great. Best chips I ever had. The next day, I started with Italian baked oysters. Served with garlic bread and saltiness crakers. They were amazing. Then I decided to have the shrimp creole. It was excellent. Dont forget to get the keylime pie. It's a nice way to finish off your meal.. I'm not sure what I will get today but I am sure it will be delicious. Update 1 year gone bye still my favorite place to go. 1 2 years later, still my favorite place. Great drink specials. My favorite day is Wensday 1/2 off Whiskey and Cheese Burger special. Very special place! I moved but travel just to come here. Glen Still one of my favorites

The food was awful! We waited awhile for our food and the place wasn’t busy. Ordered shrimp scampi, broccoli and hush puppies. The hush puppies arrived old and cold. I only ate a half of one. I sent the broccoli back twice and it was quick zapped and jar as a rock and did not retain any of the heat. The shrimp scampi was just cold boiled shrimp on noodles. No scampi sauce. The floor manager and server tried to debate the issue by saying it’s not traditional scampi. Uh… then change it on the menu to boiled shrimp and pasta. The scampi IS the sauce. Then the issue got reverted to issues with kitchen staff when the manager is not there. It has a good atmosphere, but stick to drinks and appetizers.
Standard bar atmosphere. The owner Bob is a fantastic guy who is regularly there. Great cooks that prepare the food with great consistency. Waitstaff is all very friendly. The food is very good. My favorite dishes are the garden salad of the sea and the clay strip. The salad has a variety of seafood with tomatoes, onions, and other veggies topped with cheese. Absolutely recommend people checking lone star out.

Food has always been good but the service now is horrible. We went there today to enjoy some food and have always been treated and welcomed with service. I had to get up from my table and go over to where the young waitresses were sitting folding napkins and I literally had to ask are you not going to take our order? She then looks at me with like how dare you interrupt me and points to a younger girl that just walked in the door for her shift and said she's your waitress. The dark-headed average height Latina looking waitress/bartender was rude and if I own this place I would have fired her immediately not sure if we will ever come back again.
My mom and I had a great experience here. The fried oysters were tasty. The bartender who served us was attentive and efficient. But what was most memorable was that the atmosphere was incredible. We had pleasant conversations with other diners. Either staff or ownership made sure we were enjoying ourselves and our meal. This is also a great bar for sports. Televisions surrounded the dining area airing live sports such has horse racing, golf, and the Rangers. I come in and out of restaurants in Fort Worth all day everyday as a Grubhub driver and this is one of the cooler places I've been to
Came in tonight and the young Mexican lady helped us. The food was ok but the service was terrible. She was taking care of her girlfriend including putting alcoholic beverages in a to go cup and sending her out. I had one beer and not once we're asked if we wanted anything else or another drink. But I did manage to see at least 6 shots going to her friend. The service got great when it was time to pay. She rushed to collect my card to get us going as fast as she could. Between taking care of her friend and being in the phone it is clear she cares nothing for the customer.
Basically overpriced bar food. We ordered catfish, fried shrimp, popcorn shrimp, clam strips, ocean wraps and fried pickles. Food came out cold. Service could have been better. I'm going to give grace there since they seemed short staffed. Popcorn shrimp and catfish had no flavor. The only things worthwhile were the fried pickles and ocean wraps. If you're looking for a happy hour hang out spot, this place would do. If you're looking for tasty, flavorful seafood...then it's a hard pass, would not recommend this place.

A so so place with so so food, definitely nothing to get excited about! Lots of TV's, Bud Lgt seemed to be really flowing here, every sports game imaginable from one end of the empty bar to the other. Make no mistake this is a local bar adjacent to a La Quinta, not much to it, eat first, hopefully the beer is much better than the food! I had the cod and crab cakes, the cod was nearly inedible. It had a hard, nearly impassable crust on the back and bottom that was perplexing. The crab cakes were so so, nothing to write about.
I loved all the televisions, ensuring I didn't miss a thing! The fish tacos are really delicious, and the Baja sauce was terrific! I paired them with some good-not-great dirty rice. The fries are super skinny and cooked beautifully! I didn't try the oysters because the server couldn't tell me what kind they were. The bottled beer is ice cold - just the way we like it! Now... for the bathroom. Yikes. Overall, I would probably go back if I were in the neighborhood.

Oysters were interesting. Not a fan of the ones with salsa, not sure who came up with that idea. The others were good. The burger was good and some other fried items were good. Decorations were very Texas meets ocean. Very roomy with tall ceiling. Oysters were interesting. Not a fan of the ones with salsa, not sure who came up with that idea. The others were good. Food was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! We waited a long time to receive cold, dry, tasteless food. They seem to care more about there drunk customers at the bar then the customers who was seating at the tables. NOT kid friendly! NOT worth going at all! The tables were dirty we had to ask for someone to clean our table and bring us menus. The oysters was not fresh, The French fries was soggy and oily and the fish was just awful. Service was just as bad as the terrible food. Avoid at all cost!!
Our server was wonderful, oysters were good and the fried shrimp and catfish were good. My only complaint is the crab creole sauce. It was runny, had no seasoning, and tasted like spoiled sour cream. We waited 10 minutes after our food was served for it and it was horrendous. An extra $5 to each meal for this was not worth it, we had it taken off.

Initially got served my ice tea OK but then waited 20 minutes for the server to take my order. Wish I could rate the food but never got any. I ended up walking out so I agree with many reviews that mentioned the poor service. Ended up at Razoo’s next door and had my drink and order in in 5 mins. So no recommendation from this traveling road dog who eats inn restaurants several times a week.

We got our food to go, the half shell oysters were baked not chargrill like the menu said. The bowl of gumbo wasn't enough for the money I paid. The shrimp scampi didn't have any sauce to it. I know different states do food different from others, this was not even close. I spent $90.00 very disappointed

Have been here twice in the month I have lived in For Worth, and will definitely be back! The food is amazing , and hit the spot both times. The only downside is that it’s so tasty, and such a great spot to hangout it can be hard to get a table, but definitely worth the wait or calling in to reserve a table ahead of time .
Ordered crawfish with sausage and potatoes everything was completely flavorless potatoes were under cooked and sausage was not good at all customer service was completely friendly and great until the manager lied to me and said it was best crawfish in the area and told me I wouldn’t be disappointed
Food was okay. Service was sub par, environment meh. The fish and chips was very dry chips were good. My friend enjoyed the fried oyster dinner.

Fried Oysters
Service was great don't get me wrong but the food was atrociously overpriced and bland!! $25 for 1 dozen oysters! And they charge extra to give you a small ramekin of bland season salt with the crayfish. Wanted our first born child for the meal! Won't be eating here again
We had the beer batter cod, coleslaw, and onion rings. It all tasted good, but neither of us tasted a bit of beer in the batter. It had a slight spiciness though. The coleslaw was good but a bit too sweet for both of us. The onion rings were tasty. More

The crawfish was very good, spice was perfect, served with lots of butter and lemons! Oysters were not that good, presentation was poor. DO NOT get the oysters Rockerfell, they were disgusting, these people have obviously not had this dish before.
Flavorless! This place was empty on Mother's Day when we first walked in. That should have been the first hint! We ordered prepared oysters, salmon and shrimp. The oysters came on a bed of rock salt which got inside of the oysters so it was

I used to LOVE the nachos. In fact I would go to lone star for the sole purpose of enjoying their nachos. Well…that is no longer the case. The food quality has taken a tremendous dive for the worse. Just not the same place it once was. More

Some of the worst crawfish in town. They were very dirty. The waitress was sweet. She said that they don't purge them. They took 1 out of the two pounds off my order. The other negative was They give you boiled potatoes in a bowl separate
How does an oyster bar not have oysters?. Had to order fried oysters. They were soggy, cold, and had pieces of shell in them. The fries were horrible, greasy, soggy and cold. The waitress never brought our waters and we asked 4 different
We called ahead to check on Crawfish availability. We were told there was over 30lbs still available only to arrive and find out they had been out since the phone call. We waited 5 minutes before anyone even came to our table…another 10
This place is one of the best kept secrets in Cow Town. From their in house made chips to their fried fish. If your friends are in town or if you just want some comfort food. This place delivers on every level! 5/5 MUST TRY! More
Great place to catch a game or hang with friends. VERY cold draft beer and good selection. Ask for Maggie if she is available and you are looking for great service! I like the blackened chicken po boy if I do get anything to eat.

I stayed at this la quinta next door specifically so I could get some yummy oysters. I left underwhelmed, the beer was good but everything else had zero flavor. The fried oysters also tasted like catfish somehow.
Oysters were good. Also had the fish tacos which were really good. A few service issues, i.e. overall lack of attention, our basket of crackers were all broken, etc. All in all, it was just ok.
This is a locals only spot. I love this place because the patrons love it. Cold beers, great happy hours and nice spot to watch a game.

I love oysters. Tuesday special $10 dozen naked. Great deal but baked oysters were subpar. Tried the combo oysters $20 but a little too watery texture for me.
Great Oysters. I am from Seattle and used to cold water pacific oysters , but you definitely need to try some gulf oysters here! Nice owner/manager/servers!
From their appetizers, to their lunches, to their cold beer, along with their service, simply outstanding. We will be coming back time and time again.
Good food Good beer. Although what I was told was a bock was actually a pilsner. Still good beer.
We go there for fresh oysters service and food are top of the line.
