the prime minister albanese issued instructions to qld premier to investigate the legal services and it comissioner and the attorney general shannon fentiman but the qld premier just moved fentiman out of the job there is a lot of people that have evidence that legal services staff have changed evidence and complaints and enough to have staff charged. but qld premier does not care Re legal services commission queensland 8/4/23 What is needed is a competent police or private investigator to look at the legal services comission attorney general CCC qld labor government These agencies in particular Megan Mahon Shannon fentiman and others are all aware of what is happening in the legal services commission therefore knowing and letting it happen makes then also as guilty of misconduct /corruption I believe? Yes? Incompetent investigations, tampering with evidence, changing evidence statements from complaining people, deleting evidence, and more A complaint about the commissioner of legal services about a year ago was only just done in april 2023 And yes she investigated herself. Now that smells of corruption. When in any country is it acceptable for someone to investigate themselves?. Just not honest. The attorney general says it’s ok by her Some areas these people (legal services commissioner and attorney general Shannon fentiman and the CCC ministers etc) state are acceptable in Queensland Solicitors can and are allowed to… 1. Lie 2. Lie to customers and lie to the legal services commission 3. Refuse to supply a signed contract to legal services and its customer 4. Stating they lost a signed contract and allow them to issue accounts several months prior to the agreement. 5. Refuse to give itemised accounts. Then charge for giving their itemised accounts after months of asking 6. Charge interests on accounts that were not issued for 6 months although were asked for 7. Deliberately delaying deceased estates. 8. Refusing to lodge paperwork in the court to get estates finalised and taking months to do it. 9. refuse to finalise estates even though were told to by executors and no reason to not finalise and holding cash in trust accounts instead of giving it out 10. Giving advice against one executor to other executors to cause harm and delays. None of these people should be allowed to have any government positions and should be investigated. Royal commission? Yes would be good. Maybe tony Fitzgerald? There are numerous people and complaints about the legal services and commissioner. Why is it allowed? Qld labor government and especially Shannon fentiman attorney general and ministers in the CCC and ombudsman (who state they have no authority to take action again a government agency and do not understand what solicitors should be doing) and a number of people. It is something that should be a priority of the liberal /national party. Find a proper investigator and look into every complaint issued and also every review about the improper behaviour there. Including what some state the legal services do not take action against their friends. Seems a lot of problems in Queensland? I have enough evidence certain people have lost and deleted and changed evidence on the commission. If anyone wants to make a class action against the commission and certain staff I will put in $10k to get it going. I know other people have evidence also

My personal opinions only: I can vouch for all the negative reviews of the LSC. They are extremely impersonal, pass the buck etc. My complaint concerns a barrister, Kevin Kelso. After months not hearing from the LSC , they suddenly decide to refer my complaint to the Bar Association. Why can’t the LSC investigate it themselves? The complaint was concerning Mr Kelso abandoning me. If you use legal aid, you are doomed, and it seemed Mr Kelso wasn’t prepared to give me sound help or legal advice because I was using legal aid. As with all legal aid, as soon as you challenge your legal team, they refuse to work with you. Mr Robert Raiti , my previous solicitor in worked in conjunction with Mr Kelso was unhelpful, if not worse. From day 1 he looked down at me also and judged me instead of fighting my case. He was rude to me at times also. I’ve also expressed my concerns to Legal Aid about these people, and it’s been months and still have not heard from them. If you get either of these people above don’t let them work with you. They are arrogant and condescending. Update: had a “reply” from the Bar Association asking me an inane stupid question asking me if an alternative legal team took over my case in time for my next hearing which I believe was a trick question or to catch me off guard and to cause more delays . Their question was entirely irrelevant to my complaint I put forward. I replied to this with YES but this question is none of their business and still have not heard an outcome. The LSC and Bar Association deliberately put you through this bureaucratic cycle so your complaint ends up not getting addressed.

I was tricked into being represented in a taxation matter by Zeke Bentley of Irish Bentley lawyers who told me they were "taxation specialists" and had been in business "since 1972" with both of these claims on their website. Well, they not only completely stuffed up my taxation problem and then overcharged me thousands more than they said they would including charging me for the mistakes they made! After witnessing how bad they were I found out Zeke Bentley himself has been sued TWICE by the Australian Taxation Office in the last few years for hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid tax and group tax as well as being charged for filing false statutory declarations (which can all be looked up on the Queensland Courts website) and his firm was started on the 14 March 2003 and not 1972 as he claimed. As if I would have hired a lawyer who was being sued by the tax office to represent me in a tax office matter. I complained to the Queensland Law Society who did nothing and then found out that Zeke Bentley is a personal friend of Bill Potts who is the Queensland Law Society President. How convenient. The Queensland Law Society is a joke. Don't waste your time. I then complained to the Legal Services Commission who also did nothing and found out Zeke Bentley is also a personal friend of Robert Brittan who is the Legal Services Commissioner. Gee, it's great to have friends in high places isn't it. Don't waste your time with these people either, they are worse than the Queensland Law Society.

My experience of using the QLD Legal Services Commission, was very disappointing. While they claim on their website to, "provide users of legal services a timely, effective, fair and reasonable means of redress for complaints and to promote, monitor and enforce appropriate standards of conduct in the provision of legal services", my experience was very different. They took over a year to review my case and provided an overly legalistic response which was neither timely or fair as the whole process seemed to be biased towards believing the many false claims made by the legal firm that I was complaining about. My experience was that you either need to be a lawyer or be prepared to spend potentially thousands of dollars on legal fees engaging a lawyer to put in your claim if you want any chance of a fair hearing.

Anyone who knows a good solicitor to do a class action against the legal services and state government let start. They do lose information deliberately and as incompetent behavior. They change the list people complain about to less and don't investigate at all. If friends they changed details to protect them and or have arranged to protect the dishonest solicitor maybe? But its really adding up what people have been saying a Commonwealth government investigation is needed into the lso and ccc The law society recommends Bartley cohen solicitors and axm law co pl and broadley rees hogan solicitors also for class action. Remember the state labor government is responsible for staff shortages and lack of duty of care protecting the public and the honest solicitors.

On the side of the lawyers. They openly stated that despite the lawyer lying they would not investigate such despite the lawyer harassing and bullying us they wouldn’t investigate. These guys are an absolute joke. Not only did they not read the information provided correctly they then confirmed that they hadn’t read such in this letter. The lawyer lied and pretended to be the lawyer I had appointed while they were away. The fact that a lawyer can get away with that, threatening clients, making huge mistakes in court documents, not following client instructions and still not get investigated is shows that no one cares about people they only protect their own. These guys are on the same benchmark as centrelinks robodebt an absolute joke.

What can I add to the other reviews, I think they are illustrative. The primary risk with this organisation is that all information provided against the legal practitioner is placed under legal privilege. The organisation has demonstrated to threaten with jail terms if you start to complain to external parties, when they are poor performing, well outside the initial parliamentary intention of this privilege. Effectively you can not express your dissatisfaction to other parties as you cannot provide particulars. Practically it is just a sort of honeypot where complainants are silenced to the benefit of the profession until their statutory term expires. Case solved for the lawyer.

I requested help from the QLD Legal Services, due to a Lawyer in QLD disappearing with all the $450,000 moneys from a Professional Negligence. After trying for 3 years to locate this Lawyer to no avail, I contacted the Legal Services. Even they could not help me out and wanted more evidence. If I had more evidence I would not have contacted them, they could not help out and gave me the run around. I don’t see the reason why they should be around at all if they can not help individuals who are suffering due to the Lawyer negligence or disappearing act. QLD Legal Services and the Law Society are a complete waste of time and Tax payers money who have no power to do anything.

Four years wasted of my life that I will never get back - totally useless! Well in hindsight they referred the case correctly to the Qld Law Society however the case then changed case workers so many times and there was misconduct as sensitive information was passed to the lawyer the complaint was against at a family barbeque and then charges dropped without my knowledge and got a slap on the wrist. Pauline Hansen don't stop at the Family Law Courts - the whole system needs review. I think my solicitor called it a FEE FEAST based on us poor victims, sat around drawing pictures during negotiations. Disgraceful

Dont go here, this place is as corrupt as the rest of Australian law. If you feel you have a case then take it to the courts as going to these corrupt assholes will only be a detriment to your case. The whole of Australian's law society is corrupt so after learning this where do you go? If they spent more time doing whats right instead of finding ways to strip you of your rights and justice then it would be a step in the right direction. Avoid this place at all costs... They are not who they pretend to be.

What a useless crowd. They just work for the lawyers and whitewash everything. Don't waste your time if you have a complaint about lawyers like I did, as the Commission staff are just as arrogant as the rest of the profession. I made some very serious allegations about the lawyers I used and these peolpe said that what had happened was fine and furthermore I was not to take the matter any further by seeking additional legal advice. Lawyers will destroy your life and make you bitter so stay away from them.

  • Simara Kumar

Absolute and Utter SCAM organisation. Filled with the same fraudsters as the lawyers they represent. What a disgrace. How do they live everyday knowing they are scammers ripping off the public.

  • Michael Koch

I would not be surprised if they are a Lawyers Club . Non existent customer Service and they appear to be very supportive of any misconduct by their members .

  • V lal

My advise dont go there. They look after their colleagues. No complains are regarded as genuine though it may be genuine if you are being ripped off by lawyers

  • Cassie Keegan

Don't waste your time, they are on the side of the lawyers and have no interest in helping resolve complaints.
