Where to begin! I am someone who likes to organize everything ahead of time and obviously want the best for my son's birthday! The way this place think they are so important to care less if a birthday Reservation get through or not is just sickening. Frank which is supposedly the owner of the so called restaurant is the rudest most disrespectful human I have ever met. I called a week and a half in advance and they kept pushing me because MR Frank is so busy to spare 10 min of his time to finalize a birthday Reservation which btw I could have saved myself this nerve racking experience and showed up on the day with 28 pax ordering different things. Being nice and appreciating the time the kitchen saves when you pre order I kept trying to reach him until last day before the birthday I had no idea weather or not my birthday is booked and they are ready for me. I called him to beg him to give me few his exact response was DONT GIVE ME ATTITUDE and hung the phone on me !!!! Then I tried to contact the manager of the place Jody which was trying to help but last minute while being reassuring that he was "on it" came back to say that he tried to get the famous Frank to call me but he didn't want to !!!!!!!we want to encourage businesses after covid but definitely not this disgusting service definitely do not recommend and if they think one business doesn't matter well I'm only glad i can impact at least my community and all the moms trying to have a decent birthday for their kids
The bowling itself was great. The restaurant was lovely and yummy. The bar was perfect. The ladies behind the cash at the front, were horrible. I don’t understand. I stood at the front of the line, face to face with two cashiers (who I determined must have been swapping their cash out for a shift change) No one said a word to me and I stood there waiting patiently for nearly 10 minutes. Eventually one of the employees took my money. I had asked for an hour of bowling and a pair of shoes. To my surprise after my first game, the session ended. . So another 5 min of standing at the front of the line, I was scolded for not having been more clear about what I wanted. . Umm okay? (I was clear) Now the “leagues would be coming in” (in an hour) “so you don’t have time to play an hour” (okay this is why I came in at the inconvenient time of 4:30, so I COULD get an hour in before the leagues)... anyway I digress. I now have to pay the full price for 45 minutes of bowling and they wouldn’t even refund, or subtract the cost of the single game I didn’t ask for, off that price. So I am just left wondering why the business is being run this way?
I'm so glad I can go bowling again. Bowling is one of those activities I love to do but never get to do often because not a lot of people want to bowl. This place has lots of lanes and a lester's deli (closed when I visited but I've eaten there before and it's good!) They also have a special cosmo area where it's in the dark with glow in the dark and lasers, a very cool experience. Each lane comes with a tablet to choose the theme for your scores and to enter your names. It also starts the game off only once you click the start button which is great because sometimes there are mixups with the lanes so it's good to be able to start it when you want. The service at the moment is slower than usual as they are looking for staff. They also are cash only for the moment and there is an ATM inside for a fee. If you spend more than $50 you can pay by card but it's very cheap so I doubt you will reach $50 unless you pay for many people and games. For two games with shoe rentals it came down to $34. They also have cheap monday's and wednesday's.
For many years I went to Laurentian lanes and generally had good service. Recently for the past 1 month, I went twice. First time I was rudely told that that I had to pay cash under 50 dollars they told me to go use their ATM. I quietly walked away since I refused to pay their ridiculous ATM fee. Second time took out cash and I went there, a young person who only spoke French, told me I had to wait for her cash to work and then pretended I was not even there. I asked her how long will this take she rudely replied in how am I supposed to know you will have to wait. So I walked out telling that person how I felt about their lack of professionalism. What happened to Laurentian Lanes? Hope this changes soon and quick. For now have lost a customer who bowled their most of his life. Really disappointing.
Reserved and paid in full for 2 hours of pre-Sunday dinner bowling with our young children. Upon arrival we were told that we would need to wait 45 minutes before starting our games. We were not able to be credited for the time we lost and spent 45 minutes trying to keep the kids entertained before bowling time began. The manager was apologetic but offered no solution. The excuse is “the new system”. The restaurant was closed so our only option to entertain the kids was arcade$ or screen time which is what we are trying to avoid by taking them bowling in the first place. What is the point of making a reservation and paying in advance if the reservation isn’t held. Once we started bowling we did have a blast, the kids loved the music and black lights. The games on the screen were great.
It's bowling right? So it's necessarily fun + it's in a retro environment (specially at night)! However customer service is terrible, the staff don't seem to know what to do half of the time and seem like they rather be anywhere else but there the other half. The machines get stuck seemingly often (fair, they're pretty old), but getting someone to help you out in a timely manner will be a challenge Never tried the food, but looks like your run of the mill hotdogs, hamburgers, smoked meat sandwiches and the likes: not really my jam, but it is what it is! All in all, I'd look someplace else if you regularly bowl, but it's just fine for the occasional bowler like myself.
This place is decent. The place is pretty far and located in an industrial area which is sketchy. There are two sides of the building. Cosmos and the regular. Cosmos is a few dollars more and the other is cheaper but not as disco techy. It’s a dope bowling place. They need to change the bowling balls since it’s a little rundowned and change and renovate everything since it looks old but it’s pretty modern to me just a change in the washrooms and Lester’s deli. The shoes are quite old and some of them have Velcro or laces which is weird. But they should change that as well but they are decent shoes. I would recommend it and look for their deals.
Honestly pleasantly surprised . Place is super nice inside , lanes are in good shape and my two young girls had a blast. Had a problem and service came right away to help fix it. I also wish they had like a designated are for children balls / Ramps instead of having to find them. The major con is just the checkin process . It’s really not well organized and it’s just a huge crowd of people waiting blocking the entrance / exit. They should really just put a designated place for people to wait. 40$ for 1 game for 4 with 3 shoe rental.
I went there with my co worker today on August 31, 2023. As soon as we walked in there was this huge sign with rules on them. Apparently you have to pay a $50 Minimum to use your Credit & Debit Card. My co worker only had a credit card with him. I refused to pay cash. I told my co worker lets leave & go to another bowling Alley where they don't charge anything for your credit & debit card. Then they had other list of rules. This isn't school, I am not going to abide by these stupid rules, people are just going to go elsewhere.
No services , took around 5 mins before someone would greet us at the counter. Even though the "shoe guy" was there and said he couldn't touch the cash. They won't let you pay debit or credit under 50$, where 3 games for 2 persons is less then that. I means we're in 2022. They closed down my alley before i could finish my last game. Employees where more on their cellphones then doing their work task. They we'rent able to give a proper french services. Really dissapointed. Won't Recommended and might never go there again.
BRING CASH. Classic multilane bowling alley. This place has been around forever. Cosmic bowling, duck pin, built-in bumper rails for practice, ( I meant for the Kids). Bar service and food. Give it a try, for a laugh, a date, family outing, and friends. They rent shoes, and you can select your ball to play. Automatic scoring, (can't cheat). Check the prices, some great deals. Lots of free parking. Food changed, $20 for ?smoked meat? combo. More like a chunk of pastrami on fake rye. $15 burger combo is better tasting.
Nothing bad to say about the actual bowling experience, however I'm not sure why they only do disco bowling on saturday nights when they should also do friday nights, its the beginning of the weekend and it gets busy for crying out loud! Additionally, why is Lester's closed by 9pm when the peak hours on weekends is from 5pm to 1am?? Lesters should be open much later than 9, people get hungry but there's nothing available to eat!! fix these issues and you'll be a great spot to hang out on weekends.
I wanted to have a small ball lane next to a big ball lane, I called way in advance to book and was told by the staff "don't worry just show up" .. sure enough when we showed up the big ball lane was taken by someone.. we were told that we would have had to wait for it to be ready.. not a big deal just would have liked to have it ready, I was on time and the kids did not wanna wait lol Solution was we got two small ball lanes side by side Other than that we had a lot of fun and we will be back!!
Went here today, the lady at the front wasn’t friendly at all. Zero for customer service. I have been there earlier everyone is friendly. We were 4 people and they said we can not entertain 4 people together and you would have to split into two teams. Last time went there we were allowed to played together in the same lane. Really upset with the service. Won’t be visiting again and will never recommend anyone if you’re a group larger than 3 people they won’t let you play together!!
I visit there every week but the services started getting worst… both the girl employees do not bother about customer service as they are too vested in face-timing all the time with headphones in their ears. Also, after you pay and go to your lanes you are yourself responsible for finding the balls to play with… the staff doesn’t care to provide the balls themselves. They ask you to get the balls from other lanes which are used by other people… The big guy is nice though!
Great place to unwind with friends and family. Does not matter if you go here as a pair and play one-on-one. Caters to groups and parties. They have a convenient food place (Lester's). Simple and straightforward menu, not to mention the bar. I recommend this place to groups and families. Birthdays and corporate events such as team building. Good ice breaker and an excellent way to get everyone talking and have a good time. They are open early and they close quite late.
don't expect any customer service here. at the reception the employee was moody and few words. maybe I'm not a bowling pro and need some explanation about how the service and game modes work. just forget about it. now the most disappointed part was the maintenance man, because they sent us to a line that had mechanical problems. this citizen simply yelled at us, insulted and mocked us, that we had nothing to do with the problem. my recommendation. AVOID
I speak french normally but will voluntary use English so they can understand.... This review has nothing to do in regards to the bowling part, only the restaurant area... I use to be a regular customer, they've now changed the operands and to tell you the truth, the way they've did that, simply kills me..... Regarless of how good the newones will be, their exorbitant prices will keep me away forever.... sorry... Best wishes to the anterior team
Our son's 5th birthday here was a success!!! I was pleasently surprised. Memorable and fun. Adding the music was a nice touch + fluorescent lights (so dress in a white top to play up the visuals). The owner is understanding and accomodating, very responsive too. Our guests loved it, we got nothing but complements. People voiced what an unexpectedly great idea this was for a birthday celebration. We will definitely be coming here again!
Love this place! Very good bowling alley, lanes are always well kept machines are always worming. Staff is friendly and fast. The place is huge they have league games there lockers for balls and shoes. Rental for shoes, also for birthday parties they have spaces an arcade. Along with a fast food restaurant serving bell pro style food, hot dogs, burgers, fries and poutine. Plus a bar that big as all, that serves you at your lane!
My brother and I brought our mom there today to celebrate her birthday. You have to pay cash if your total is less than $50. This made the whole experience sour from the get go. We started looking for cash, running back to our cars, stressing… I was not going to pay any fees at the ATM machine, thank you very much. It’s 2022!! How do you not take debit/credit? And $50 minimum is a lot of money! We won’t be back.
Bowling is cash only, which we found very odd for an establishment this large in 2022. Customer service was terrible. We payed for 2 games but the aisle closed in the middle of our second game. We called someone for help from the screen at our table. They said they'd come check it out. We waited 15 minutes and then a new party came to our aisle. Not sure what that was about but we won't be back.
We took a group of 100+ kids, and the service was excellent at this bowling alley. We got our lanes and shoes figured out pretty quick; no fuss at all. The kids loved the options for what type of bowling they could do, and it made for a good time! They have about 65 lanes and you can see it is a popular spot as there were many leagues going on at the same time, and this was a Tuesday night!
Love this place but really rude customer service on the phone. Called and said " hi how are you " there was no response so i repeated myself and the person goes " hi i am really busy" i made a reservation for 12 people and had a question for the receptionist but her response was so rude it threw me off... they need better training for how to speak to people on the phone.
One of the best bowling alleys to go and bowl casually. Also one of the best for league play. Tends to be crowded and loud though. The bowling alley isn't in the best location, it's not easily accessible considering it is along the highway. Some of the staff tend to not wear their mask properly. The restaurant is often closed so don't expect to get food often.
We went with the family and had two good games. Service and advice were good. As the cashier warned us, one hour night not be enough for two games with three, we missed about two minutes to finish it. The animations for the score are cute, but take up time. If you're looking to bowl without lights and music, don't take lane 27, as that's right at the edge.
Decent venue for some casual fun. The actual bowling is great, equipment isn't too old. However, minus two stars because: restaurant was closed, they didn't have all shoe sizes, socks were not available for rent/purchase as with premium bowling alleys, but most annoying thing of all is that they only accept cash. No credit/debit cards accepted.
The worst thing that they not accept credit or debit only cash and they have ATM but will charge you 1,5$. Customer service in general not bad but not very good. Even 1.5 $ it’s still extra charges, as everywhere else they accept credit or debit at least Adding 90% from your Arcadia machines are not working .. or taking coins then not working
Great experience...we were looking for a professional bowling hall in Montreal for a long time ( big balls )...We finally found it with Laurentian Lanes on Montee de Liesse ....it met every expectations we had and more.......thanks to Christie and Christine...who gave us a wonderful service and a great smile. You must try this place!!!!;;
Great times at this very clean and friendly bowling alley. The kids loved the arcade area. They have the lanes with blockers for kids, as well as a helpful roller. It’s really nice when they put on the black lights and play music, great atmosphere. The poutine was delicious. They also have a bar area here with some gambling.
We organized a bowling fundraiser for Cedarcrest elementary. Jody and all of his staff were incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions. We had such a great time! A great way to raise money for the kids! We did the cosmic bowling… I highly recommend! Will definitely organize another fundraising event in the future.
We had a lot of fun here. I personally prefer duckpin, for the more challenging strike, and that was available here. Will go back for regular bowling next time. There were lots of families and kids, when we went there, therefore, it felt festive, lively, which I liked. Well-kept lanes as others have already pointed out.
This is one of the Best things in Ville saint laurent area. We were looking for a place for bowling and came across this place. It's open late till 11.00 PM and has a big bowling arena. There are also some arcade games one can enjoy in between the bowling games. A good place for a weekend with friends and/or family.
Took the kids. They had a blast. For adults they have a great selection of draft beer . If you like IPA Goose Island. The food is great as well. Service was exceptional. They brought out the dragon for the kids and 6 lbs balls for them. Loads of fun. They also have a good arcade section for all. …
Not only did the game bug, skip players and gave wrong scores but we also had to unexpectedly leave early (since we were with kids) while paying for 2 games and the manager refused to refund or at least give us a credit to come play another time. This place sucks and is unethical in its management.
I really enjoyed bowling with my family But balls are bit heavy I use to go every month in Playdium in Brampton and The Rec Room Mississauga Balls weight over there are not too heavy. Price is fair enough. Overall, it’s good place for balling and nature of staffing is really helpful and friendly.
Staff was very friendly, kind, and courteous. On the other hand, what I am presuming is the owner, was extremely disrespectful. Instead of kindly asking us to raise our masks above our nose, she threatened to stop the game. We didn’t refuse or argue, so why such a disrespectful attitude?
We came here for a friend's daughter's birthday party and the kids had a blast! The disco bowling is a lot of fun, they have some decent size rooms for birthday parties, and the food is quite reasonable (and good) as well! Definitely a place I'll be coming back to in the near future !
Great bowling alley with small and big pins. The alley is well maintained and clean. My daughter played bowling for the first time there and had a blast. There is a corner with arcade games and a Lester deli on site. They have a large free parking lot. I highly recommend a trip there.
My kids and myself love this place for bowling! They have a special place for children bowling with smaller bowling balls. Service was fast and easy. The food court type of restaurant served over fried french fries, hot dogs and soft drinks, not of my fav. Good over all experience.
Laurentian Lanes is one of the most happening places in Montreal. It’s a must visit if you are a bowling fan and you are in Montreal even for a short time. It’s a fairly priced alley and you could have an awesome time alone or with friends. You have good food and drinks options.
Very noisy but it's normal for a bowling center Also we had a reservation but they made us wait 30 min even tho we had a reservation One thing that is cool is that you can customize your screen with a theme and you can take pictures that will displayed on your score board
Edit: I really appreciate the manager’s response. Will give them another shot. Quite rude customer service. Twice they have gotten the number of games wrong. And they will not fix the error with a payment of the difference. We just want to bowl, it’s not complicated.
Absolutely love this place. Joy and fun for the old and young. Recently celebrated my Son's birthday here with some of his friends and everyone had a blast. They have an accommodating staff. Definitely recommend this place for large groups and small ones alike.
Very disappointed! Very bad costumer service! Payed $82 for 2 hours for cosmo night at duckpin lane #2 and the lane get stuck. Waited around 20 minutes to get fixed. Went to the cashier ask for the 20 minutes that we lost and he gave us just 10 minutes more.
Good place for bowling and meeting teams work or friends. Food is tasty as well wirh lot of options. Environment is very clean and well organized. In general, you can have a one hour break, playing while you eating and having fun. Congratulations guys there
The best lanes in greater Montreal! Complete with a gaming section, bar, restaurant, and waiting areas. As for bowling, fully computerized with an on-site Pro Shop. Very little break- downs. Plenty of leagues - both recreational, sanctioned, and competive.
Nice and modern. Prices are reasonable the the technology and mini games within the score screens are some of the latest. I would agree with others that the balls are oily however everything else from the restaurant to the service is more than reasonable.
I recently went to bowl with my friend. We have not bowled here for 4 years. We had never had such rude treatment and was told to withdraw money at their ATM. So we went to bowling ally in Laval and got much better treatment. We will never go back again.
A great bowling spot in Ville St Laurent. One of the staff was a bit rude. Be ready to bring cash with you otherwise a there’s a minimum purchase fee of 50$ if you want to use your credit or debit cards. If you’re a covid paranoid then don’t go there.
It was a fun experience but the reason why I didn't give the place 5 stars is because there was no food available ( we got to know later that the restaurant closes at 5) and the vending machines were not working. The cosmo experience is worth trying.
Very good experience for family. It was fun to play Grosses Cosmos option. The place is clean, and the equipment is in good condition. Shoes are also in good condition. 5 stars for place. It would be better if stuff were more attentive and friendly.
Good place, terrible customer care. Noone answers the prone, impossible to know if they have any available lanes or not. Only way to do an Online reservation which will be processed some time next week very convenient for last minute bowling.
Was nice but the balls are very heavy and when our line had a bug, they did not offer to restart the game.. it just stopped working. Overall, we had fun for the other rounds, nice deco! Oh and bring cash if you don’t plan on spending over 50$
Laurentian Lanes Bowling offers an exceptional bowling experience. The lanes are well-maintained, the staff is friendly and always willing to assist, and the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. Whether you’re a pro or just looking for a
Not the regular bowler but did enjoy the evening there. The fluo side cost a bit more but doesn't really add anything maybe for younger crowds... There is a bar who takes credit card but otherwise you need to bring cash to pay your games.
Laurentian lanes is truly a local mystery. How it manages to remain open is almost beyond comprehension. A cash-only, run down bowling alley with dated equipment and horrible cleanliness. Potentially a 3-4 star establishment in 2005.
I go there occasionally for lunch for a quick bite. Food is well priced and everything they serve is fresh, hot and well prepared. Service is always great too. If you go at lunch just ask for Penny and she will treat you like a king.
Cannot believe we waited so long to come to this place. Nice and helpful staff. Weekend morning price is attractive. Facilities look old ,but maintained well and system is interactive and advanced. Had fun for both kids and adults.
Very big and beautiful place to pass your time with family. There is a place for children too. The small balls are perfect for them to practice playing. Inner restaurant, tables and large space make me feel like I’m outside.
With 58 big bowling pins lanes and 9 small ones, this is a huge bowling alley! A great place to have a fun time with friends or family/ They have a Dj and lights effects on saturdays evening to create a party atmosphere!
Had us wait for over an hour and a half playing video games and eatting food then they said we have no room yet there were empty lanes that had no on on them the whole time. Spend your money and time somewhere else
Went here on a long layover at YUL. Great time!! They have duck pins and regular bowling. It is the cleanest bowling alley I ever seen! Staff was nice. About 14 cad each way via Uber. Highly reccomend!!
Awesome! The experience was phenomenal and memorable! Perfect place for my friend's birthday party! The DJ was very super and had a great selection of music. Vybz were cool, will def come again.
Went there for the Lester's smoked meat. Loved the sandwich, great portion of delicious fries. What is also cool is the employees are always smiling and super friendly. A1 guys, keep it up
Super fun. Awesome for every age group. Reserve if you can, it gets busy. If you’re six people, it better to book by game, not time. The music is really good. Lafleurs is an added bonus.
Best place to go bowling in Montreal. When I got there it was easy to get shoes for this occasion. You can buy food and drinks while you play. You can rent as many lanes as you want.
Never a super long wait, even when its busy. Lots of cool looking choices for the self-service score-tracking. Can be tough to find a good ball, but the lanes are well maintained.
Wow! Finally a clean and FUN bowling alley. Great time. Lester’s food is amazing and the bar is friendly. Staff super friendly as well. 100% a great place to go for any occasion.
Went with the family 2 weeks ago. We had a great time. Front cashier very friendly. Good staff. Place was clean. Minus 1 star i find it expensive for a family of four.
I arrived 11:00 and it's closing 11:30 and Thay didn't let me in because Thay closed the cashier already (Next time they should write that you can Olney come till 11
First time at this Bowling lanes and the atmosphere and the area was clean. Getting the lane was a little long as it was a lot of back and forth at the reception.
Clean and old school just as it should. Staff are helpful and nice atmosphere. For chilling with friends, family time or a little date, it's the perfect spot.
Easy to get to. Lots of lanes. Fun times. Can buy food as well. Should probably make a reservation if you want to make sure that you won't have to wait.
Great place to go bowling with friends. They seems to have Big and small games. There's a restaurant inside with good food to enjoy playing and eating.
Amazing ambience. Bowling lane with music and disco lights and the bar beside seems like a party fun place. Enjoyed it every moment of it.
Very nice place for many fun activities with friends and family. I would be more happy if got the contact of a front reception girl.
Super fun and well maintained. However, prices are way too high and they only take cash! Couldn’t justify spending that much again.
I hadn't been there in forever! I was there for a work event. The staff was friendly. The food was good. The ambience was great!
A Nice Place to Chill out with group of Friends in Montreal and They have huge and lots of lanes to play ..Recommended to visit
A well kept bowling alley and first choice for me when starting my Tuesday night league. Super nice team that works here.
Great ambience with lots of bowling lanes available. Came here to play bowling with friends and it was a fun experience.
It was fun! Clean! Really enjoyed my experience! Place is big enough that it doesnt feel crowded! They have a bar!
Nice place for having fun with friends. Bar and food on premises. Pretty long wait to get the lanes assigned.
Good bowling always enjoyable, only con is that they only take cash even though they do have an atm on sight
Cash only? Fun place for a family outing. I just don’t understand why you can’t pay with a credit card .
Excellent night out with my son's hockey team. Great music, fun atmosphere and packed with happy people!
Have been here many times and always fun. Pretty clean place and little restaurant has some good food!
Nice place but we reserved and someone could not come. They don't refund last min....kind of sucks.
Ok place to go have fun after work. It would need an update to it's system, but still is good.
Convenient lunch or after work location, great service, easy access and parking.
Fun place, good crowd, have access to restaurant and bar. Easy parking
Had fun and decent place and prices. Clean and plenty of parking
Very nice place to come with family, friends, your girl etc etc
Great bowling place for big groups or bday celebrations …
clean and spacious. We had a lot of fun. Price is fair also.
Excellent service merci au management, Christie, Britney
Great bowling experience and delicious food on site
