Shame I've only just seen the reply from Dr Patel (male) to my latest review of this surgery. But never too late to set the record straight. While that one-size-fits-all reply, that the doctor can't always acquiesce to the patient's requests is unquestionable, in this particular instance is not relevant. Simply because my request was to reconsider the medication he had prescribed months before as it was not working. Its side effects had serious knock on effects on the job I had at the time. In a nutshell I was putting other people in danger as it made me extremely sleepy. Contrary to Dr Patel's view, according to various specialists who have seen me since then, the med Dr Patel had prescribed for my condition at that time, had not been used for a good number of years, precisely as a result of the side effects it causes, as well as the introduction of far much better, more effective and specific new medication which Dr Patel in his usual arrogant way dismissed point blank, and refused to even discuss about. Dr Patel perhaps needs to either be re trained to get up to date, or retire once and for all (if he hasn't at last done yet) and allow a new fresh generation of GPs who should be more on the ball and more willing to listen, evaluate, and think. Dr Patel has failed me on those three fronts BIG TIME, let alone on manners, responsibility and abide by the legal principle of duty of care, as that deserves a separate chapter altogether. If that kind of service is the price one has to pay to be seen at very short notice by a GP, I might just as well ask to be seen by my local corner shop employee, or even better, a shaman who may recommend to kill a couple of chickens and burn some incence. That may be much more effective and wouldn't put anyone at risk, except of course, the chickens. No, I'm afraid one size DOES NOT fit all. To be sitting on that high horse of yours, without even looking at your patients when they walk in, neither replying to their "good mornings" or "see you next times" when they leave as if you were an absolute monarch, you have to be on top of the game my friend. Well, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news this time but YOU ARE NOT. And I'd better stop here otherwise I would have to apologise if I carry on. Diego Vigliani .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. One year ago: Nice staff and appointments available at short notice, unfortunately Dr Patel is extremely rude, careless, dismissive and very arrogant. I definitely don't want to see him again. I'll try to find a new doctor elsewhere.

It is easy to obtain an appointment here, but every time I have been here, I had a negative experience. Dr Patel (male) is the worst doctor I have ever encountered, he always makes me feel like I have no reason to seek medical advice and he is very dismissive and rude. He does not take my concerns seriously and seems like he just wants me to be out of his office as quickly as possible. He actually suggested once that I could maybe have the treatment I was looking for in my home country. At the time I did not realise how xenophobic that comment was. Dr Patel (the female) is slightly better in how she interacts with clients, but both of them have a superior and condescending attitude and I always leave the surgery feeling like I have wasted my time and I still have no solutions for my problems. Dr Shah was the only one that I had a great experience with, she was lovely, she listened to my concerns and took them seriously and she was very professional. However, I asked if I could see her and I was told she is not able to take customers on her caseload at the moment (or something like that). For that reason, i will look for another surgery. I wish I read the reviews before I registered, as my experience is so similar to others as far as I can see. I would not recommend in the slightest!

Absolutely terrible experience with both Dr Patel's. Recently had an appointment with Dr Patel (lady) about my distressing severe condition and kept getting interrupted by her when trying to explain my situation. To make matters worse, felt that due to this I had to instead seek consultation from a private specialist - who told me that Dr Patel had given me completely inaccurate information about a medication I had previously taken! Absolutely unacceptable coming from someone you would hope to trust. A longer time ago I had an appointment with the other Dr Patel (man) to discuss my experience with depression, and was met with complete lack of empathy - my appointment lasted less than a minute and all he did was pass me a number to call instead - I felt so cornered and ashamed, which is one of the last thing a person going through depression needs. Dr Shah is the only 1 of the 3 doctors who seems to be professional and sympathetic, but you can't always get an appointment with her - often times you switch between the 3. And while the nurses and front of house team are lovely, this really does not make up for the complete lack of competence by the 2 Dr Patel's.

First of all both doctors (Dr Haren and Dr Geeta Patel) are quacks in the last week of June 2019 I was very ill bleeding nearly passing out they could clearly see that I was poorly and did nothing...I requested for a specialist and was told I have to pay to be referred to a specialist I was also charged twice for sick notes (by the way I work and pay my taxes) in pain I took myself to Homerton as the pain got worse that same week I lost my sister and was going through two different forms of pain I explained all this to this man and his wicked wife both were non chalant to what I was going through...I do not think this surgery should be open at all and advice any one looking for a good surgery to look for human beings that are truly doctors. This is clearly negligence and I don't know how these two are doctors who should care for people. I had to put a one here because it will not let me post this reviews any other way.

Useless. They don't investigate properly or listen to patients well. They genuinely don't seem to care, they just turn up to work every day. Any time your health problem is fairly trivial, they can fix it with anti-biotics, don't worry, no problem. But any time your condition is complicated or requires any real effort or medical resources, forget it, you're on your own. Twice they told me they could not do anything to help me after their initial pathetic attempts failed. Two different problems, both fairly significant, they just gave up on me, wrongly. First problem could have been resolved by referring me to outside services, but no chance! Second issue, I did not even get a proper diagnosis for, which considering that the issue was /is respitory in nature, I find absolutely disgusting. If you think your health condition may be serious, do NOT go to this place for help.

Dr. Patel didn't listen to a word I said. Mostly because he didn't even let me speak. I fnd it hard to believe that a doctor can treat a patient if he is not even listening to what are the syntoms, when they happen, since when it started, etc. It felt like he wanted me to leave the room as fast as possible. At the end, he handed me a review paper, to review his work. I was going to fill the whole paper, bu the asked me to leave it in blank and only fill the last part with some words. I wrote: OK (since I didn't want to write what I really thought in front of him as he looked). I felt like he got mad at that and left as soon as possible. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it was bad day ofr him. But just stated what happened and how I felt.

My father went to this useless GP and he insisted for a blood test (symptoms: difficulty breathing, sudden dizziness) they told him that it was just iron deficiency and they didn't even accept him inside the gp for a blood test they told him to go to the pharmacy and get some random medication but then he didn't trust the GP so he went to the hospital and when they did a blood test they told him that he had a heart attack and now he's been in the hospital waiting for a surgery date in a bad condition. Thank you so much for nearly causing someones death Lathimer health centre! I don't even want your apology, no one deserves to be treated this way! Everyone if you value your life and want to live, don't go here!

  • Emmanuel Zeta

Horrible experience with the GP. I’ve been sick with a nasty throat infection for some time and confused as to what I’m supposed to be doing. The nurse I spoke to at the hospital yesterday recommended that I get a blood test due to family illnesses that may be taking its effect on me and worsening my condition. Instead of being patient and explaining what’s to happen, the GP raises his voice at me and rudely tells me that I’m incorrect even though I’m saying what the nurse told me yesterday. Regardless of whether I’ve been misinformed or not is another matter in itself. A GP should not talk to their patient like that especially when they are sick and vulnerable.

Been coming for years but has now become a joke. The receptionist doesn't look at you and acts like she doesn't want to be there. Ring for a telephone consultation and told to come in.I Wait 25 minutes and then told just to collect a physio form at reception. I'm then told to wait again. Another 10 minutes and given the form. I ask why I couldn't have just done it on the phone and saved everyones time as the Dr didn't even check me. They both apologized. I wasted an hour and a half leaving work, waiting and getting back to work when it ended being a text message saying call this physio number. Terrible place and system.

I want to know why this GP is open? This couple does nothing, everything seems to bother him or that one is going to ask, I went because my feet were broken, and I told him that I should see a specialist and he says that I have nothing that is lack of cream, when I even had a hole in my foot, I couldn't go to work and I told him to give me proof that I couldn't go to work and he says that they don't give that. He is always angry. I don't know what they would have studied if they google everything. Without shame the 2. Nobody wants to be sick and go to the gp, it is assumed that if you go it is because you are not well.

  • JBIZZLE (JBQ)

Told my gp had to call ambulance because I was in soo much pain an they said “why did u do that now it cost the nhs 100pounds!” I said if that was any of their concern as they r gp practioneers an they don’t pay ambulance direct for anything, I was shock when I heard this, aswell as they r laughing at my pain an talking over my explanation of my pain that’s bad communication and service as being a doctor ur dealing with people in pain is it funny ? Is it something u can take lightly? That person might have lost someone in their family an u laughing as doctors who suppose to have expertise how embarrassing

I've been registered with another GP in Hackney before I registered with the Latimer practice. And I must say the service and patient experience is much better at Latimer - the building itself is friendly and bright, the staff are very professional and knowledgeable, and the services offered are great (open on Saturday, travel vaccines offered which wasn't the case at the other GP, etc.). I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone and am happy I changed GPs although further away from where I live.

  • Mina Salimi

Both Dr Gita and her husband Dr Patel have dismissed any condition I’ve had over years. I had to insist for a X-Ray for my broken hand from Dr Gita. I couldn’t get blood test from Dr Patel. It seemed like I’m asking him favors when I see him and whilst I tell him my concerns he is annoyed to the point that I wasn’t going to see them anymore and dealt with my sickness at home. I finally changed my GP and I recommend people to not sign with these guys at all!

WISH THERE WAS 0 STARS ATTENTION!!!! DO NOT REGISTER OR GO TO THIS GP NO MATTER WHAT I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT HERE FOR 23 PLUS ARE ALL EXTREMELY ARROGANT RUDE UNHELPFUL INCOMPETENT AND THEY DONT WANT TO HELP WITH ANYTHING AT ALL I DONT KNOW HOW THEY ARE STILL RUNNING ANY REGULATORS SHOULD LOOK INTO ALL THESE REVIEWS AND TAKE ACTION AGAINTS THEM AS THEY ARE NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE STAY AWAY!!!!!

  • vania pereira

Disrespectful, don't consider your pain and wash any problems you may have with paracetamol or insults, Zero stars. The reception team is very polite, however arriving on time means an extra 15-30 mins wait. Arriving 1 minute late? Spend the whole day waiting your turn. The worst doctors I have had the misfortune to deal with; just there for their money and no more

  • Aleksandra Kravchenko

Two years with this practice - and they just don't take their patients seriously, or treat them with due respect and professionalism. I have now moved and registered with another clinic, which I am very happy with. If you are considering registering with Latimer, it may be a better idea to go for a GP practice bear homerton hospital.

  • Jasvinder Wanti

Such a ridiculous surgery, so bad I had to move last year. Trying to get a diagnosis of ADHD as i been struggling for over a year and Mrs Dr Patel had the audacity to write in my medical notes "unlikely to be ADHD" when she asked me no question. How dare you make that assumption from the 2 mins of a phone call?

  • Brecht Paul Van Acker

I'm a new patient that registered yesterday and I was able to see a nurse 10min after, who made an appointment for me with a GP the next day. Overall the experience was very nice: the GP, the nurse, the receptionist, they were efficient and friendly and I'm happy to have a clinic of this quality so close by.

  • Raphael Samuel-Maraj

Been with Dr.Patel since 1991 and apart from one misunderstanding earlier this year found this practice to be well organised and the staff are aways helpful and courteous.Appointments easily arranged and you have the benefits of seeing a nurse for blood tests etc here.

  • Sol Perez Martinez

Terrible dismissive doctor, I wish I had read the reviews before! A waste of time and an uncomfortable situation.... Nice nurse though, but I still have the bruise from the blood test... and it's sad because the space is spacious, bright and well located. Don't go!

  • Holly Williams

You can usually get an appointment for same day or quickly which is great, and nurses/reception staff are lovely. But would not make an appointment with Dr Patel again - so dismissive, brusque bordering on rude. Didn't listen and interrupted me almost immediately.

  • Phong Dang

I have been with the GP for over 10 years and in all honestly I must been crazy to stick this these guys. They are so dismissive of you worries and have given me the wrong medication just to save money. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM.

  • Roisin McMahon

Extremely disappointed with lack of treatment . Just changed to a new practice and found out I need medication I've been requesting for the last six months. Very poor communication from both GPs at the practice.

  • Lindsay M

I feel bad for the admin and nursing staff here because they are totally let down by the rude, dismissive doctors. It is easy to get an appointment but you will not be listened to or feel better at all.

  • Maria Vejarano

Friendly reception staff and nurses. The lady doctor listens and has common sense. It has been my practice since I came to London and I am satisfied with attention and service. Thank you NHS

  • Eiad Abdullatif

I have registered with another GP for months now but still cannot get over the terrible treatment and poor medical care I received when I was in so much pain and went to this surgery.

  • Emma Bennett

Bad service and doctors who get simple information wrong. They registered my pregnancy with the wrong hospital and consistently don't send my prescription when requested.

  • Victoria Barry-Jackson

Friendly staff and slick registering process. Clean practice which is more than I can say about some of other London GP surgery's I've been to.

  • Eve Kwart

Stuffs not friendly and worst doctor.I didn’t ask for OTC products for my child. No medical help was provided towards my child condition

  • Odette Farrell

Terrible. Dismissive and degrading doctor. I was there on 3 occasions and it is enough. . I will register with another GP asap.

  • Roseanne Lee

I have been registered with this surgery for over 10 years. I can always get an appointment to see the Gp.
