After my original review below, Lake Haven replied and I have to apologize and upgrade my rating from 2 to 3 stars. They did indeed send information about the construction and how to access the park in an email. Unfortunately, it went to my spam folder and I did not see it until after our stay, my review and their reply. ------------------------ An overall poor experience. First off, there is major construction on the main road leading to the campground and the side road from there to the campground is closed at that end. You'd think that the campground staff would alert people who have reservations. The entrance to the campground has a narrow spot where you have to thread between 2 posts. Good news, the check-in lanes are clearly marked, but the office is not. Walked over to the building where there are two entrances. First one (on the left) had a small sign in the door saying it was the laundry. I was 10 feet from the second door before I could read the paper on the door that proclaimed that it was the office. Door was locked. This was at 4 in the afternoon. Looked around a bit, peeked through the window and didn't see anybody. I noticed a mailbox labelled "late check-ins" and thought it might have some info. There were half a dozen envelope, so pulled one out to see what it said and was surprised to find it had my name on it. So glad. In it was my receipt, a map with route to my assigned site and rules. Found a car from the neighboring site on my site. Not the CG fault. They quickly moved the car. Went to hook up and electric was at the front of my rig. Cord barely reached. Water tap is in a below ground pit, so you have to crawl on the ground to hook up. Sites are close together. All in all, I would not plan to stay here again.
We’ve stayed here twice now and we won’t be back a third time. We had been here for a week and wanted to extend our stay, unfortunately the lady in the office is quick to stereotype people. Although there were 10+ empty spaces as we left she was sure there was no way to extend our stay due to reservations. The Hispanic man who drives the dodge Cummins needs something to do. He followed us to our campsite and yelled at us to slow down even though we were doing a speed of 5 MPH which under their posted speed limit of 6.5. During our stay only 1 rv came in for an overnight stay and was gone by the next morning. The bathroom/shower and laundry room facility is nice, but that’s all. I will not recommend this place to anyone but I will recommend you drive 30 minutes to greenfield and stay at Heartland Resort! It’s huge with tons of camping sites, bathrooms, showers and laundry room. It also has an indoor pool, a man made beach and lake, fishing lake and many other things to do! Lake haven is not worth the money you will spend to stay there and being treated badly is also not worth it. I’m glad we left; we hate liars like the woman in the office. Also the lots are so close together if you have slide outs you might as well be touching the next door neighbor!

Beautiful park, the ground where you drive/park doesn't get muddy when it rains, the people here are super nice, the grounds are fun especially if you like fishing, picnicking etc...great places for the kiddos to play, and the laundry and shower facilities are always clean and in good repair. Also there is good lighting after dark(make sure you have decent window shades on your trailer if you want to sleep) The only draw backs are: 1 the fire department is right next door and ocassionally you can hear the announcements of where there was an accident or the like (its never been loud enough to wake me up, but I'm not the lightest sleeper in the world) 2 the free internet is terrible, it disconnects you very frequently and it's relatively slow when you're connected, it's sufficient to download a document, or a webpage if you're patient, but anything else, I can't seem to get it to work(eg YouTube, Facebook, streaming movies etc...) But, if you have a hotspot already, this is a wonderful place to park your camper! I really enjoyed my month here.
We just arrived so not sure if this is a nice Park or not. I'm posting now because we are quite upset with the person who took our reservation. We specifically asked if the campground is close to the highway and she said no you are 2 miles from the highway. We said ok good because we are worried about having highway noise she said don't worry you won't her any highway noise. So we reserved and paid. We get here and I'm not exaggerating the campground is literally 6ft from the highway. Their grass stops at the highway. So to say that we can hear noise from the highway is an understatement. I'm not sure why she told us that unless it was just to get us here. It seems like a busy campground, apparently some people don't mind the noise, so I don't think she needed our reservation. So just not sure why she was so misleading. We are going to give it a try becuase, well, we already paid but I'm sure we will get no sleep tonight!
I took off a star cause we came in on a Saturday around 1 and there was nobody there. We waited at the gate not knowing that there was no one to open it. After a while, I put the truck in the park, walked to the office, and see there's a checkin box. Grabbed our info and started walking back to the truck and see 5 other people waiting to get in (people who live there). Never been to a park that doesn't have someone working on a Saturday or a sign saying chekin info is at office. Other than that the place was very nice. The spot we got was long and wide. The laundry room was big and everything was working. The bathrooms were nice and clean but it was funny they had a sign about not providing paper towels cause someone was putting them in the toilet. Overall nice place.

Quiet
We were 280 miles from home, having truck issues on our way back from vacation. My husband called to see if they had a spot for the night maybe 2, she said she had one for that night but if need be she may be able to figure something out for us for a second night. Mind you this was also a Sunday, not during their normal business hours. Site was long enough for our 30ft travel trailer and truck with room to spare, rate was lower than we expected for full hook ups. Park was clean and well kept, our son loved the playground and pond. We are so grateful for your kindness and willingness to be flexible if we needed it. Luckily our fathers came to the rescue, one hauled the camper home and one brought the part that fixed the truck. If we're ever in that area again they would be our first call (well in advance that time ).
OK for overnight but not for much longer. We were there for 4 nights and had an end spot which was nice so we didn't share grassy areas with anyone, otherwise it wouldn't have been as good. A bit tight for big rigs. Most spots are tandem side to side with another RV very close. Security gate broken and very little security that we could see. Packages and mail left on benches outside the office . Long walk to the bathhouse and dumpster all the way back by the road and no site pickup. No security or locks in bath house, open to anyone with access through the laundry room. While walking the dogs, I saw a guy in a car pull in off the road, use the restrooms and drive away. On the plus side, the lady in the office was very nice, they do have FHU and cable and a nice lake to walk around as well as a nice dog park.
Before booking a site here, I read the past reviews, being certain to check the dates posted. I noticed that the reviews have been getting better and better as the years went by. I don't know what I would have improved about this place. It's immaculate and well -maintained. One can see there have been rather expensive upgrades made to the water and sewage systems. These folks are really trying to give their clients the biggest bang for the buck. My site was level and long enough for my trailer and my truck. The 2 ponds were low while I was there, but being the remnants of the gravel pit, I think that's controlled by the water table in the surrounding land. I had no reason to have any interaction with the staff or to use the facilities, so I can't speak to that I stayed here in a 28-ft travel trailer.
We really enjoyed our stay for Memorial Day weekend at lake haven! We are new to RV life and this was our first stay in our rv. It was a good, clean, and quiet stay. The only issue we have is the older man who drives around in the white small suv is creepy and very harassing. We accidentally got 1 tire in the grass and we didn’t even know it. He came by and told us we needed to get the tire out of the grass, no big deal we moved it immediately. Then he continued to drive by at least 5 times a day our whole weekend. Give that man something to do. He is creepy and drives by really slowly and was just staring at us, our kids, and our dog. I’m pretty sure that’s something along the lines of harassment. Otherwise, we really loved it there! We had an end lot and it was so quiet! We will probably be back!
Front desk staff is super helpful and attentive. I accidently parked on the grass once and received a kind note asking me not to. :) I was super happy with the way they handled it. The sites are really close to the one behind it but gave us ample room in front that we share with another camper (ie buddy sites). We will very likely return to this place. I cannot express enough how kind the people at the front desk were. Also- if you have kids, walk them over to the fire station and chat with a fireman. He gave my daughter and I a tour of the fire truck and told us all about his job. It was very fun. My husband enjoyed the gaming scene in Indianapolis. Every Monday and Tuesday at local game shops they allow for open board gaming. All 3 of us had a good time here. 6 thumbs up!
Wow. Here's the positive. The campground is a great location and the lots are very nice. It is a tad bit small for 2 vehicles. The cons, Kristina. She works in the office and will totally screw anyone over. Does not care. It could be your last dollar and she will say they are entitled to it. Literally charging a day for 2 hours past check out. I have met the owner a few times and the other female whose name I didn't get. They are super helpful. They know it's an inconvenience to them as much as it is to the people working and living there. The lots are being taken by the state is very unfortunate. I hope that there will be some change in the office because I'm sure I'm not the only one that is leaving with a bad thought about this place just because of one bad apple.
We stayed there last summer. We felt safe and people were very nice. We didn't use the showers, but they were clean. The laundry area was also very clean and everything worked. The office and maintenance staff were awesome. We were parked directly across from the fire department. They do go out OFTEN, but we didn't have a big problem with the noise. Our complaint was the trucking company across the street. That was VERY noisy, but we were only four spaces from the street. The WIFI was awesome! So was cable. We just had to purchase a cable and got all the channels we wanted. I highly recommend this campground. We'll be going back this summer.
October 2022. Lake Haven? Where was the lake? It was a retention pond…but a lovely retention pond I will give them that. I would have to say the advertising was a bit…well shall we say…exaggerated? Spaces are tight. Road were easy to manage. Staff was lovely. HOWEVER…be sure to ask if the MAJOR freeway construction project is still going on before you book a reservation. They literally work 24/7 and there are numerous and I do mean numerous trucks with incessant beeping going on all the time. On top of that the spaces are super close together and there are numerous full timers. We left early as this really wasn’t a pleasant experience.
It is a fair place. I was hoping for a bit larger space. However, once we settled in, it was just fine. Our neighbour on our right was always working, art lottery It seemed so. Aside from his trailer, he parked a very large flat bed work truck that barely fit on the side of our shore hookup. Not cool... Anyway, we were able to get a propane company to bring in a 100 gallon propane tank to endure the low temperatures, not cheap. The office people were friendly and helpful. On the day before we had to leave oh, we met our neighbor on the other side. We had a great conversation and will keep in contact
Not as nice as it appears online. It’s a lot of full-timers which makes it a bit of an eye sore if you are traveling and looking for a nicer place to stay. Site was not level. Just not as nice and friendly as we would have expected. It’s a no-frills campground. It’s in an industrial area so there can be noise from outside the property at all hours. (semis in our case) Not a lot of food/grocery options nearby. (10-15min drive) One bonus was the laundry facility is nice. App payment system is great vs using quarters. Overall, not terrible, but not great.
We were situated in a large gravel parking lot type area as we were only there for 9 nights. It appears that most of the spots with grass are for the many full time units parked there. No pool, but they did install a children's play structure while we were there. Map states they have a marked area where you can swim in the lake, but with the 100s of geese (and their poop) around the lake not sure I would recommend it. Good location to get to Greenwood and the local highways. Not a lot out that way to brag about.
We have stayed at Lake Haven multiple times when traveling. The Owners are very accommodating - The Office Staff always make you feel welcome. The campground is so WELL MAINTAINED versus other places we have stayed. The New Bathhouse is AMAZING. They’ve really went above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable. We always stay here when we’re in the area because of the amenities, hospitality, safety, environment. ~Jerimiah & Jennifer Reeves~

Perfect for our 2 night stay in the area. Clean campground with grassy space between each level pull through site. Full hook ups and I used the nice laundry room. New office area and laundry area almost done. Nice to see owners investing in their property!! Loved that the laundry machines used a credit card instead of quarters!! The campground is in an industrial area but we always use a white noise machine so we slept great. Lots of area to walk our dog. Friendly staff! Would stay here again!
We stayed at Lake Haven Resort July 14 thru July 21. We liked this campground a lot, from the great location to the clean grounds and laundry room and showers. Our class A motor home fit well on their spaces, we had one on the end by the lake. Nice to sit outside and watch the ducks and geese. This park is around the corner to everything, yet very quiet at night. Thank you Lake Haven Resort, We definitely would stay here again. Glenn & Meleia Robertson

In the middle of an industrial park, with a highway close by under construction. I would say mostly seasonal or full time people. They have all the good spots. We were there for 4 nights. Basically just a place to sleep for us. Not that the park had any control but while we were there 3 of the nights was all night long road construction. Very loud. I didn’t use any of the facilities and the internet didn’t work for use, always said router needed to be rebooted. Cable tv worked great.
We arrived last Thursday and we are pulling out in the morning (Thursday ). This is a very nice place. The bathhouse and laundry room, was very clean. Prices to wash and dry was very reasonable. Everyone is so nice. The lake is nice, also. We are in a big 5th wheel and it is very easy to get in and out. The WiFi was great also. The cable TV was great as well. If we are ever here again, we would stay here. Wished they had a pool, but no pool. Otis and Debbie Modgling
Very nicely done for a suburban area. Not every site is great, but most are good. We were in a pull thru. Utilities side is close to neighbor but even tho you "share" your awning side the sites are long and wide enough to not feel cramped. Modern laundry room. Taxes increase nightly rate by about $5. Security gate operational after 6pm, remember to have code w you. Lots of cable channels and good WiFi. If coming south fro m 465 stay to left, signs not very visible.
Nice and peaceful... Very clean and quiet place to stay with hot showers. There was a lot of RVs there when we stayed and few tent campers so we had the tent camping area all to ourselves most of the weekend. Though firewood is provided free of charge we only had a fire one morning and it was nice sitting next to the water by a fire watching the geese walk about and graze. WiFi is also provided free of charge and we had decent coverage from our site.
Paved main road, side roads and sites are gravel. Sites close together. Nice lake. We called to make reservations and told the person that we were 45 feet long with a toad and did not want to unhook as we were spending only one night. She told us on the phone no problem but when we got there and got our site we did not fit. There were other sites available that were bigger but we could not change and yet the sights remained empty.
We stayed at Lake Haven in early May 2021. Grounds are very well maintained and staff helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again. Pros - Nice staff, nice guest (even long term guests), beautiful property, clean laundry and bathhouse, location is very convenient Cons - Laundry room/bathroom and trash dumpster are all the way up by the entrance. A little bit of a walk, but that's something they really cant change.
I'm about to finish up a 10 week stay here Dec 16, 2015. The facilities had all I needed with no complaints. This time year, it isn't the most appealing in appearance but it isn't from a lack of effort. Luis is always out fixing, cleaning and just plan working every day on the grounds. In office, Sara has been very pleasant, helpful and informative to others as well as me. I've had a nice stay and enjoy the location as well.
Had a wonderful time here! I would say the campground was full while we were there and it was still so peaceful! You can tell the owners take great care to keep the facilities clean and user friendly. The maintenance team does a wonderful job at keeping up in mowing and overall cleanliness. This is a well cared for resort! The pond is peaceful to walk around and again we’ll taken care of. I hope to visit again in the future!
Loved this rv resort!!! We were here for two months and LOVED every minute! Awesome staff, friendly and helpful! This location is very well maintained, close to Indianapolis and great restaurants. Close to Greenwood and shopping! No complaints at all! Catch and release lake, well maintained playground s for children, large well maintained restrooms and showers! They took fantastic care of us and we will be back!!!
When we arrived at Lake Haven it was our first RV experience in used Class A. The staff was very helpful and patient with all of our questions. The park was clean and the laundry, shower, and toileting facilities where large and very nice. We were there for 6 weeks for work. The hook ups worked great. We would recommend the park and if assigned in that area again would return without hesitation.
We stayed one night, site was clean and quiet, staff was very friendly. The only negative was the Wi-Fi. It kept cutting out while we were trying to stream the Miami Heat versus Boston Celtics game. But that may have been due to high volume of use. Other than that, I highly recommend it, and will probably be here next year after the Indy race.

We booked three days but only stayed two. The road construction noise at night was so load I couldn’t sleep however I’m a light sleeper. Very clean area beautiful laundry room with individual shower rooms. The staff was very friendly and you really can’t blame the park for all the construction. Would stay again after the construction is over. Without a doubt the best park in Indy!
The site was level, easy in and out. One of the cleanest laundry rooms I have ever seen. Back to back hook ups so you do not have to stare at your neighbors stinky slinky. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars there were no trees for any shade and the roads narrow with LARGE rocks on the edge

One conversation with the owner and you can tell right away they take pride in their campground. It is very clean and well kept. The bath house and laundry facilities are always clean and warm. Cable and WiFi are a definite bonus!! We have been to other campgrounds in the area and these are the best owners you will find in Indianapolis and Hancock county.
The section they put us in was close to a noisy road and was more like a parking lot. Hope you like your neighbors because the sites are real close together. If there is a need for a first responder on site, no problem, the fire trucks are right next door and you get to hear them very well as they depart the station. OK for a one night stay.
Nice RV park. They have a nice pond and we even found a big box turtle just meandering around. Would definitely stay here again if I need to be in the indy area. Parking the trailer was a breeze. Hookups are a little far forward in the lots so make sure you pull the tongue of the trailer all the way to the end of the lot before unhooking.
My Mom was staying here. It really nice. The only thing is there is no where to sit by the lake. Every single picnic table literally covered in bird poop. Also be careful on the speed that you go in their the maintenance man will stop you and let you know that the speed limit 5 1/2 miles per hour or something a long though lines.
Crowded sites, trucking hub next door and across the street, fire station on the other side. Convenient location, but not as nice as it used to be…before they made each site into 3 or 4 sites. We had stayed here a few years ago and it was lovely. Now it’s a typical big operation “rack em and stack em”! We were disappointed.
It's a basic campground with a very clean bathroom and laundry, and convenient location. We were in the back row on the other side of the fence from a big parking area for tractor trailers. When they started their engines in the morning, the air filled with exhaust. Ask for a spot closer to the front if exhaust bothers you.
Very convenient to the airport. Would have given more stars but we were confronted at noon asking if we were staying another day because we hadn't left. We were clearly packed up and wanting to leave but had clearance issues with sloppy neighbor parking. Very rule riddened CG. No refunds. Park is filled with full timers.
This was a nice little place to camp close to Indianapolis. The directions sent via email were spot on. The woman at the desk was very friendly. If we are by this area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

Noteworthy details
This is an RV park.
Well maintained. Gravel sites that are level and spacious. It's right by a fire station but there was very little disturbance from sirens. Easy to get in and out of park. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn't use the shower or the laundry facilities. Definitely would stay here again. We stayed 7 days.
A very nice and clean RV park. Spacious laundry room. Nice big dog park. Convenient to grocery stores. Also close to the Indy 500 Speedway. Having more dumpsters throughout the park would have been nice. Would go back if in the area.

Wow! Absolutely amazing place. Easy to get in and easy to get out. Clean area Hookups connect easily. Facilities are beautiful and clean. The person in the office…wonderful. Answered quickly and when not in office answered my numerous messages. Always kind. Suggestion…make a reservation ahead of time!
Shady parking lot at the end of an industrial park in view of the smoke stacks in Indianapolis, with a sad excuse for a pond that they are calling a lake. Hardly any grass, shared fire rings scattered throughout. Staff was rude and Unprofessional from the start. Zero stars. Do not recommend.
Great quiet park. WiFi repeaters thru out the park, close to Walmart and lots of restaurants. Friendly staff and lots of full timers who are very friendly as well. No frills, but clean, nice landscaping and easy pull thru sites. Watch for the huge rocks on the corners and use a spotter.
We absolutely loved our stay at lake haven. I and my husband James would still be there if his job had not ended. We stayed there longer than we thought we would and they accommodated our needs. Lots are nice and clean. If you follow the rules then you should enjoy your stay as well.
We stayed at this campground in our 40' Rv for 2 nights. The site was gravel and pretty level. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were large and clean. The staff was friendly and quite helpful. The Wifi didn't work at first, but was later fixed. We would stay there again.
Checked in April 2022. Now it’s August 2022 this is the cleanest RV park we have ever stayed at. Bath house and laundry are spotless. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Quite and save. They have a fairly new playground. Owners are looking to keep updating the campground.
We enjoyed this park. The roads pulling in are a little narrow for 35 foot motor home pulling a car. We unhooked out front and had no problem getting to our site. The place is well kept and quiet. We didn't use the showers or laundry so I can't comment on those.
Management is great! Nice park and very quiet. Play ground for kids and a nice dog park. Only downside is no activities. If you’re looking to park your RV and not worried about a pool or clubhouse this is the place for you, close to major highways and food!
Great Experience! Staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, campground is kept up very well. Check-in and site was perfect. Pulled right in and everything was level. Easy setup with location for all hook-ups. Very quiet and friendly people.
Okay rv park. No amenities and the roads are narrow with boulders at the corners. Had to be very careful making turns. Won't come back to this rv park. Also a side note at the time we were there, there was a lot of road construction.
I like that they have full hookups, sewer amd water. However they lots are way to small, no fire pits, really no way to set up outdoors stuff and enjoy the outdoors

I was in 220 and it was very tight getting in and back out. The place is next to a truck parking lot and very loud. Trucks running all night. The full hook ups are nice but ,analog TV. It was ok for a overnight stay
Nice convenient RV park close to downtown Indianapolis. Friendly staff. The only downfall is that the fire station is next door. I only heard them 4 times in a week. Far enough from the freeway to not hear I465
Campground is clean and neat. Mostly paved roads. Overnight area is dirt/gravel and sites are close together, but with good access to get a large rig in and out. We've stayed there twice with no issues.
RV Resort is very nice! Very clean and easy to get in and out of the sites. Construction in the area is horrible but driving directions given by the park were great.

I did not stay. My camper is a 2008 model. I did not ask about short-term stays, but for long-term stays, they require a 10-year or newer RV. That rule/policy is not listed on their website.
Really difficult to get in contact with them. They dont respond to emails/contact forms and their chat/text system doesnt work. Only accepting reservations by phone calls is not good.
Wonderfully maintained park, including a dog walk area, amazing laundry/shower area and a central playground. Construction around it sucked but not much they can do about that.
We enjoyed our stay here and would have loved to stay longer. The laundry and restrooms were both very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
So nice as a half-way point of travel. Close to the interstate and easy in/ easy out.

Standard RV park. All pull thrus, buddy spots, tight lanes. Construction not as bad as other comments mentioned. Verizon service good. Well staffed and nice people.
We loved our 1.5 month stay at Lake Haven! Quiet, safe, affordable, nice laundry room & shower facilities, dog park, and friendly staff. Would certainly come back!

This place is clean and easy to manage our way through the property. Ownership is attentive to your concerns. My only beef is no firepit at the campsite.
I have an 07, was told it had to be 10 years or newer, my trailer is in good condition and I think it's a ridiculous requirement.

Very well kept, clean and quiet campground! Only downside is that we were in a pop-up and you could hear planes and trains all night ☹️
