"Do not misconstrue the hustle and bustle of the VIP station for confusion"
"This station is located in the center of the city of Kumasi"
"The buses are always neat and comfortable on time"
"I like the fact that cctv is working 24/7 but what annoyed me most was at my time there to buy tickets from kumasi to Accra, I was in a queue for a long time which it was not moving, not knowing those who are in charge of the sale of the tickets are selling the tickets to people who are not in a queue and collecting tip from them which is bad"
"It's a bit crowded but they have nice buses that can convey you to almost all major destinations in Ghana"
Do not misconstrue the hustle and bustle of the VIP station for confusion. There is always an organised order in the semblance of the perceived disarray. Coaches are embarked on a first come first served basis and due to the massive footfall, coaches at any given time do not wait for more than 20mins to depart fully impregnated with passengers. There're no over loading and with every passenger enjoying their own in-seat USB phone charging point for your phone and earphone port for the on-screen entertainment, you are fully covered. There has been a spate of accidents reroute from Kumasi to other destinations such as Accra, Tamale, Wa, Takoradi etc.driver are now more circumspect and cautious which is a big plus.
This station is located in the center of the city of Kumasi. I spent an hour at this place transition from Tamale. The station as at one AM in the morning had a lot of busses loading to Accra and other places in Ghana but mostly Accra. Although the place was busy, Security for the station was very good. Since most of us got down from our buses yet no one complained of a stolen item. Also the bathroom and toilet facilities at the station was in the best state however you will be charged to use the facilities. Due to the busy nature of the place, businesses are still opened around the station.
The buses are always neat and comfortable on time. At times, one gets confused as to the bus to board. You will see about 3 or 4 buses loading at the same time to Accra. The prices of the buses determine the comfort zone. The loading fees are very uncomfortable at times. I think it's determined by your appearance. One needs the skills to negotiate down. Moreover, the guys around the buses are too many but always deal with those in the VIP branded Polo or T shirt. Safety is one of the reasons i patronise. I feel safe and comfort
I like the fact that cctv is working 24/7 but what annoyed me most was at my time there to buy tickets from kumasi to Accra, I was in a queue for a long time which it was not moving, not knowing those who are in charge of the sale of the tickets are selling the tickets to people who are not in a queue and collecting tip from them which is bad. I like the environment but they allow too many private cars and other cars in which makes the busses have difficulties leaving or entering into the premises
It's a bit crowded but they have nice buses that can convey you to almost all major destinations in Ghana. Their cars air air-conditioned too and offers a smooth traveling experience. They also have a hall to host those awaiting their buses and those who just arrived at the station and will like to rest. If you bus leaves at a later time, you could rest there until you are ready to go. Overall it's a very good station and I'll recommend to anyone planning to travel within Ghana.
VIP is a very comfortable bus in the first place. The station is also hectic but once you find your seat and inside the bus to any of the big city, you are ok... VIP buses go to Accra, Kumasi, Bolgatanga and many large cities. They are neat and the staff are polite. One thing, to bear in mind is when at the station, there are different fare ranges. At the time of writing, it range from GHC 70 to 100. The more the fare, the more comfortable it is.
The VIP Bus terminal in Kumasi is a top-notch transportation hub with impeccable services. From the clean and well-maintained facilities to the friendly and helpful staff, every aspect of the VIP Bus terminal screams excellence. The buses are comfortable and equipped with modern amenities, making for a smooth and enjoyable ride. Overall, I highly recommend the VIP Bus terminal for anyone traveling to or from Kumasi.
The buses at this station have different lorry charges depending on passengers preference. The VIP buses with executive seats (big passenger seats with comfort) charges Ghc 85 per passenger to Accra. But the other VIP bus with normal seats charge 70 cedis per passenger as at 15th June 2022. Luggage charges are very expensive with poor reception. Nevertheless their drivers drive with caution.
In as much as I commend them for their swift and reliable delivery services across the nation, their customer service leaves much to be desired. Their customer service over the phone is very poor. Attendants over the phone are inpatient, and talks on top of their voice which, to me , is rude. They should pay equal attention to their customer service over the phone.
This bus terminal is opened to service 24/7. Yes every time and everyday. Buses available at the terminal are high class buses with good experinced drivers. The comfort you enjoy mainly depends on the type of ticket brought. But you should stay safe at the terminal anytime during the night .its not safe to be moving around from the main terminal at night.
I collected my items from this office, I think they deserve an applause, they are doing very well helping sending and delivering good from one place to another but I think if they can think of door to door delivery, it will be the best. Nevertheless the present process is also not bad, but I still suggest they consider door to door delivery
The quickest place to get a bus to Accra. VIP has built itself into the leading provider of inter-city transport services in Ghana. This place is busy 24/7 and no matter the time you get there, you're sure to get a bus to Accra. Movement of luggage around here may be a bit difficult. Newer buses have USB ports for charging mobile devices.
Just like how STC lost their customers and a lot passengers in the past and are trying everything possible to win the confidence of the masses back, so it will be for this company if care is not taken. I hate to see local companies fold up but it seems we continue to repeat the same mistake. There is always a turmoil at their stations.
Using the Kumasi VIP bus terminal has never been a pleasant experience for me. Firstly, the place is just too disorganised with vehicular and human traffic. Secondly, the queues to buy a bus ticket is unplanned and difficult to manage. However, the buses are safe and affordable. It will be good if management is closely looked at.
Buses are getting very old and they charge the same far for old and new buses alike, which is very annoying as you don't get to choose the bus you want. The station guys are very rude and aggressive. I just hate using their service but the options are very limited and it's super expensive flying.
Kumasi VIP bus terminal is still the busiest of all bus terminal within the region serving the rest of the region across the country, mother than 500+ movement within 25hrs whiles other buses makes few movement ,VIP buses are the most safe and comfortable transport so far …
This an all VIP bus terminal including VIP Jeoun. VIP Jeoun buses traverses Bolgatanga, Tamale, Kumasi and Accra, while transiting at Kumasi before Accra. The Terminal has privately manned washrooms and hawkers of most necessity items. The terminal is wheelchair ♿ accessible with parking.
There is a waiting room for you to wait travel at your own preferred time, but it's quite packed at night and becomes free early dawn. You can get foods and snacks whilst you wait but be alert because there might be thieves in the waiting room too don't fall sleep if you're by yourself.
Great place but needs to be enlarged so as to accommodate more people as they wait for the arrival of the bus. Also the mates have to be ask people about their destination. The last time someone board the bus from Kumasi to Abor but doze off and before she realize she was at Nogokpo.
A very busy area with hard working people, different transport operators with same name but different fares. For more comfort travelling from Kumasi to Accra I would recommend you choose the highest fare which was ghc 45 as at the last time I was there.
The best means of transportation from Kumasi to Accra. There are two types of buses, the first with large and comfortable seats and the second regular. I prefer large seats so that I can stretch my legs during a trip that lasts more than six hours.
A busy area which is mostly crowded with traders and travellers. 24hours service for Kumasi-Accra. Caution: ignore people who claim that there is a bus with one person left for it to be full. Just go to the main bus terminal to buy your tickets.
Bus/coach service was punctual. Driver was courteous. Station needs be better organized and shelter provided for waiting passengers under the hot sun. No directions and signposting of what's going on which is daunting for me as tourist/visitor
You can always find a bus anywhere no matter the time of day. buses load quickly and the drivers drive safely. I like that there are options for different trips, like the options for economy and executive coaches for an Accra trip.
Fast service. You'd barely wait 15 min to set off after buying your ticket. I usually use the Accra to Kumasi bus so I'm primary speaking from that view. Last update of price from accra to kumasi- 100 cedis (November 2023)
I know Asafo where VIP buses to stand and move other parts of the country. If that place is the Kumasi VIP Bus Station is a nice place where one can do shopping, pray as a Muslim and a wash room for travelers.
Its kinda stuck over here and somehow uncomfortable to express your self all around the spaces, I think they must to improve their security system and find a luxurious way for passengers to love beyond miles
I am giving them 1 star because of how poorly designed and organized the place is. As for the washroom the least said the better. I suggest the management sit up and change things for the better. …
Great buses BUT most of the drivers and other staff need Education. They are so disrespectful. They feel they are doing the public a favour. They must be taken through proper client relationship ethics.
Like that of their station in Accra, things are so bizarre. No security or safety measures. No sign for directions. You have to be extra careful for your belongings before they packed into the bus.
I can say bye far, it is the best place to look when traveling at night, dawn, dusk or morning to Accra. I got to the station around 3am this morning and there were buses full journeying to Accra.
Very busy bus terminal. Nice Marcopolo buses from Kumasi to all parts of Ghana and beyond Buses depart every minute 24/7. There is a waiting room for commuters. Really busy and vibrant terminal.
There are two levels of bus – one with larger seats and more leg room for marginally more money. Buses run on average every 45mn everyday. No pre-booking available, just show up at the terminal.
Reasonably well organised bus station. Vehicles and prospective passengers queuing nicely. The presence of vendors, selling all kinds of foods and drinks, however made the place look cluttered
the Kumasi VIP Bus Station is a major transportation hub in Kumasi, Ghana. It serves as a departure and arrival point for VIP buses, which are known for their comfort and reliability.
Good buses with comfortable seats. The station is too small to accommodate a lot of passengers. It gets congested during peak seasons such as school reopening, festivals and occasions.
Parking space is too small for passengers cars to enable baggage to be unloaded to the bus. however, the bus filled up quickly so we didn't have to wait too long to start the journey.
Buses going to various destinations in Ghana including border towns...Accra, Aflao(Night Bus), Cape coast, Takoradi,Tarkwa, Techiman,Aflao.Just hold your purse tight, always …
Good place to pick a bus to Accra if safety is your priority. Some of the bus drivers and conductors have no regard for passengers so just prepare in case you meet the extreme.
The service was good but unfortunately their washrooms are not in the best of shape. I think they can actually make it better if they pay attention to that bit as well.
It's generally a busy place for travellers, however the bus schedules are on time, and very frequent. There are other sublets of the same transport house for travel.
Comfortable buses for any amount of money you can afford. Drivers are mostly well trained. Parcel office is also good. Items sent are received and vice versa.
Some re-organisation will do. Again some of the high-demand busses need rehabilitation, especially some of the seats are in very bad shape. Please check it.
Cool place, please do proper maintenance on your Buses, ac especially, also drivers and those who give out tickets should learn proper customer service
Just a regular local bus terminal. They really have to speak with the guys, they make it frustrating if you board with luggage. 3 stars for that
Very good roads, comfortable buses to bored with air-conditioning and you can get anything you want to buy there ,,,its a very nice place to be
Best experience taking the night buses. The driver was cool even though some rough tactics were played against him at the station. …
Vehicles available to suit every pocket. Fast and reliable service. Efficient and trained Drivers who are ready to help out of the way.
Crowded place, as you would expect of a bus station. They run an effective service - from buying of ticket, to boarding and take off.
The VIP station is a very busy hub for commuters. I believe you will get busses to Accra at any point in time ⌚ I've gone to Accra
Am very impressed with progress that is being continuously made with the quality of coaches and more especially the service. Kudos
I've been calling the contact number on the website for almost 3 hours and the number is unreachable. That's quite disappointing.
Smart service with s smile. I wish they also take details of passengers and who to call in case of emergency. It will helo a lot.
Your number one stop for reliable bus transport to Accra. However the environment is quite busy, with a little traffic and noise.
For their services; providing good cars and making electronic payments, I guess it is good but they have low emergency services.
Rapid bus services to accra. Works 24 hours, 7 days a week. You can get a bus to Accra and other parts of Ghana at any time
safe environment, experience drivers and affordable transport fare.more cars available to drive you to your destination...
Very busy place. A great place to board a bus to the major cities of Ghana. Comfortable while you travel in a VIP bus
Buses heading for Accra get filled with passengers very quickly. My experience with the commutes were pretty smooth.
Good air-conditioning buses travel to every corner of Ghana and beyond, Trust their drivers to take you home safely.
The area was very busy and swampy .But the buses and other vehicles were packed accordingly to the place of journey
When I came to GHANA before one month by other Bus company it was but from now on VIP BUS number one ☝️ ( 1 )⭐️
VIP station is located at Asafo, it's a lorry station mostly loading to Accra and other parts of the country
The bus terminal is a good one in terms of locating your departure bus. The service is good in my opinion.
It was really a safe and nice journey, thanks to everyone and the management as well. God be with us all.
Good service they are rendering over there but but you need to be careful not to get your items stolen
Nice but busy place with a very crowded cars and humans. For Transportation to and from Accra - Kumasi
By African Standard, their operations are very organized. And their buses are consistent and timely.
I didn't have any issue. No instructions to direct you though for those who don't speak the language
Nice environment tho but I think they should have put sign post at vantage points for easy location.
I will recommend everybody to use VIP buses. Very comfortable. Affordable Great customer service
Great service, even though the general environment could do with some old fashioned cleaning.
Great place for your long distance and luxurious buses for Long distance places in Ghana
Very helpful people The buses aren't on a schedule so watch out if travelling from here
24hr Transport services.just buy your ticket and have a safe ride to your destination
It seems too small for the number of departures, but the staff is nice and helpful.
Very busy bus terminal to all destinations from Kumasi. It is a 24/7bus terminal.
Their services are good. I felt welcome and safe to pick a bus there to travel.
Not a bad place for easy transportation. All kinds of vehicles for your trip
Not very affordable prices for the commute but very relaxing and pleasing.
Affordability buy Comfortability wear PHILAKOHSHAPES :Your Mind Your Hands
Their services is very good. The buses leave promptly. They drive safety.
Good service for your trip to Accra from Kumasi and other parts of Ghana
It is an overly crowded space. The waiting room was clean and spacious
The station is a nice place but one has to be careful around the area
One of the best transport services in the 2nd largest city of Ghana.
It really works perfectly I recommend everyone to use this app
