There is a full playground, small nature path, open field, pea patch, and historical foundation/wall from and early church originally built on the land with an explanation as how to pronounce the name of the park correctly...I'll let you visit the park to find that out.
Kirke Park is a tiny park in the Ballard neighborhood a few blocks off 8th Ave. Is next to a community pea patch, has a little grass area, a little gazebo and then a playground area. It's well maintained along with a few garbage cans and recycling bins to keep it clean.
It is so peaceful, clean and nature walk. We loved to walk through P-Patch gardens. It is a great experience to see so many vegetable plants and organic vegetables on them. One can learn so many good ideas to implement once back to his home town.Long live this P-Patch.
A little hidden gem of a park! Behind the playground is a nice little wooded secret pathway that my kiddos love. We stumbled upon a scavenger hunt hidden there last week! Don’t forget to walk to the north end of the park and admire the well-kept gardens
The park was named Kirke which means church in Norwegian. This name pays tribute to both the Norwegian heritage of the neighborhood and the history of the site. This site was home to the Church of Seventh Elect in Spiritual Israel for more
This is a great local playground. Compact, but still with a range of play options. No baby swings and non-traditional disk-like swings that are great for one or multiple kids to sit, lay or stand on at a time. Sand area in the shade with
On the small end as far as parks go, but has a great play structure and swing set. Built on the location of an old church! It has a beautiful pea patch with plenty of places to sit and contemplate life.
Well kept park. Playground is small, however the equipment is fairly new. If you need a space outside for a few hours this park is ideal. There is a hidden spot in the trees behind the playground!
I love this little community garden and park. It's a respite in the city that I come back to frequently to see how it's changed over the seasons. There's always so much new growth to see.
Kirke Park is one of those places where you take someone who's never been to Seattle to show them what's so beautiful about the area within the city.
Best Little local park! with good play equipment for kids to play. This park has a cool back story be sure to read about it when you visit the runes
In the middle of a neighborhood, literally. Quiet, absolutely kid-friendly. Right next to a P-patch, if you are looking for teachable moments.
Cute park tucked in the Ballard neighborhood. Picnic tables, playground, green space, community garden, and dog friendly when on leash.
An absolutely gorgeous little park! Fantastic play equipment, nice quiet location, and some nature style play areas. High recommended.
Nice clean park with play area and 5+ picnic tables. Great place to eat an un bien sandwich if there is no dining at the restaurant.
Quiet and small, but nice neighborhood park with street parking. Slides, sandbox, and specialty swings. Grass and picnic area.
Had a good time with my son and the people around me were nice and courteous and just those nice place to be on a Saturday
Small cute little park. Field, shelter with picnic tables, play structure, sand box, small slide, and two round swings
Just it is very small, only pass time 15 minutesyou can take your kids there & not for spending qualitative time
Great play structure, clean, and lots of kids. Exactly what parents are looking for in a neighborhood park
Good park for kids. Small but fun play structure, picnic tables. Garden is good to walk through.
