I sought for a physiotherapy clinic not for an injury, but rather to improve my overall body condition. I'm very physically active, but can use better movements and help with some restricting movements. I must say, I understand why the reviews here are rating them an outstanding 5-star experience and how fortunate I was to begin my program with Katie. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was greeted with a superb vibe by Andrea. She was warm, welcoming smile, and every repeat visit thereafter she’s always been positive and creates an ambience where one can easily embrace the atmosphere. I commend her skills and how easily she’s able to handle multiple tasks and people in such a calm and confident manner. Katie is the physiotherapist who’s treating me and she truly exudes professionalism and expertise. Her vast knowledge is impressive, and it became evident very quickly that she genuinely cares about the patients' well-being. Her ability to listen and approach the areas of concern is what sets her apart from other physiotherapists. You’ll find many practitioners, whether physio, chiro, or massage, tend to focus on isolated areas rather than the clients overall improvement. In many instances it's most likely a different part of your body causing the imbalance or pain rather than the area they're focusing on. The humour in this irony - a caring therapist’s ultimate goal is to actually help you stop seeing them. Katie takes the time to understand your end goal, your previous and current lifestyle and how they may have impacted your current situation, and address any concerns you may have. This personalized approach allowed her to tailor a treatment plan specifically designed to address my needs and achieve my optimal results. Once you utilize Katie or the clinic, you’ll eventually download an app to assist with remembering the assigned plan for you and help with your progression. Once you use it, you’ll completely understand why I would rant and rave about the effectiveness and simplicity of this app with the assigned exercises. Throughout my sessions, Katie guided me through a variety of exercises but also educated me on the importance of proper form and technique. The explanations are clear and concise, making it easy for me to understand the purpose and benefits of each exercise. Katie is positively encouraging, and probably shows more excitement than I do as I progress lol. The more open your line of communication is, married with your display of commitment to improvement, the more passionate and inspired she is to see you succeed. You’ll notice some movements/exercises will become effective quickly, and some will take a little longer before you feel or see the improvements. The reality is, you need to exercise patience and understand this is a longer term investment in yourself. Best practices to expedite improvements in yourself - spread your sessions apart and be consistent in attending; commit to completing the exercises in between sessions; communicate to your practitioner during a session your end game; review how your progressing between appointments. You will definitely improve in time with their assistance.

I scheduled an appointment with Josh a few weeks ago after dealing with a persistent shoulder injury. I really appreciated him taking the time to listen to all of my concerns, the time he took to understand the root problems and also figure out how he could best help me. He set me up with a few really simple but super key exercises that can easily be incorporated into my daily life. What was even better, he followed up by email later that evening with a detailed reminder of everything we talked about as well as links to YouTube videos he's recorded to make sure I was set up for success and a speedy recovery at home. In just a few short weeks, not only have I noticed a significant improvement to my shoulder mobility and decreased pain/tension... I've also noticed that the exercises have led to increased mobility throughout my back to the point that I can now touch my toes - which I've never been able to do in my whole life!! Crazy. On top of that, they have a great space and gym setup to practice at the clinic. Highly recommend working with Josh and I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the city. Thanks so much!

I came to Kinetics with a year old achilles tear from a sports injury. I was at a point in my recovery where my injury had healed, but was completely restricting me from getting back to the same level of sports and physical activity that I was doing before my injury. I was referred to Josh by a friend and came out of town to see him for my first appointment. After that first appointment I knew Josh was going to be able to help me achieve my goal of getting back to the sports I used to enjoy. And because of that I was willing to come out of town to see him. I followed his curated program and progressions, and every week I felt and saw my foot get stronger and stronger. And he was super responsive to any questions I had in between appointments. A few months later I'm at a place where Im enjoying sports again without the fear or restriction that came with my injury. I didn't think I was going to be able to enjoy sports like I did before my injury, and Josh helped my foot get back to normal. I would highly recommend going to see Josh for physio.

After separating my shoulder I began looking for a physiotherapist and had always seen kinetic Labs locally and wanted to try it out. I had checked the reviews beforehand and noticed a previous client had mentioned how they followed Josh to his new location. I always believed if you have the power to have your clients trust and follow you to a new space then you must be amazing at your job. This was very much the case with Josh. He was very patient in listening to my story and concerns and broke down his full program in a lot more detail than I had expected. He gave me useful exercises to do at home and even followed up the next day or after every appointment to let me know he had updated my programme and to make sure I had no questions. I would definitely reccomend seeing Josh for any physio needs. He was very friendly and great to talk to through our sessions. Thank you again Josh!

I’ve had 3 ACL surgeries and gone to countless physio clinics over the past 10 years. I can say without a doubt that Andrew and the Kinetic Labs was the best physio experience I’ve ever had. Andrew cared so deeply about my progress that he would regularly message me between meetings. They have lots of advanced tech, like the Blood Flow Restriction machines and the tech to benchmark your strength to ensure you truly are reaching 100%. They allowed me to come in between appointments to use the BFR machine which was extremely beneficial in my recovery. Andrew found the prefect balance between support/encouragement and really challenging me. The entire administrative team is such pleasure to work with, it was always such a great experience from beginning to end. On top of that the studio is new and well equipped! Couldn’t recommend this place enough for your physio needs!

I would highly recommend this place! Everyone is very professional and friendly. The entire process from booking an appointment to paying is also pretty straightforward and hassle-free which I love. Huge shout out to Josh and Amy as well! They are excellent at what they do, and both of them are very accommodating. Josh is not only determined to treat my pain when I play the sport that I love, but he also wants to make sure that my body will be able to handle its intensity without being held back. Amy on the other hand, was able to give me relief on the back pain that I have been experiencing for maybe years now. She also gave me some advice on how to treat my right shoulder as it was a bit of a mess due to my work and my lifestyle which I didn't even know existed.

I came to Kitenic Labs after previously seeing lots of specialists and have been struggling with shoulder injury for 2 years. I did not have any hope at that point. And MIRACLE happened! After a couple sessions with Josh I was able to do things I couldn't do for a long time. He deeply cares and pays attention to the smallest details. We came up with the plan and exercises which I'm doing on regular basis. Josh is always checking in with me, reviewing the progress and adjusting things if needed. I knew that everything in my hands and I should follow the plan as prescribed. All the hard work PAID OFF and I am fully recovered which is an amazing feeling. I was in great hands at Kinetic Labs! Here are the highlights: - Josh is the best physiotherapist I've seen for rehabing many of my injuries from head to toe AND for functional training once recovered. It's also great to see someone who practices what they preach - May is a phenomenal RMT, extremely thorough in technique - Great set up with equipment that is challenging to find in other physiotherapy clinics - Objective measures are given in physiotherapy assessment (i.e. amount of force generated in a movement) - Location right on the water with lots of dogs nearby - The clinic does direct billing, reception staff are so kind and helpful - Also shout out to the physiotherapist Amanda who does fantastic, comprehensive running assessments

I’ve had 3 knee surgeries so I’ve seen my share of physios, and trust me - they’re not all as knowledgeable, prescriptive or supportive as Josh is. I’m never left wondering what we’re working towards. Instead, I have weekly exercises tailored to my weaknesses (which we identified using some pretty nifty 3D tech), and instructional videos in case (oh who are we kidding, when) I forget how an exercise should be done. Josh also constantly makes himself available for questions or issues in between appointments, and even adapts my routine if I’m going to be travelling without access to equipment. Also, shoutout to the lovely staff who always greet me when I come in and check me out when I leave. This clinic gets 5 split squats out of 5.

After nearly three years of rotator cuff issues with my shoulder and physios, chiropractors, and osteopaths, I found my way to Josh when I had almost lost hope of living without shoulder pain. Specifically, he uses the FRC system (which I already had familiarity with) as a guide. We barely have done any manual therapy in my year working with him, but instead we work to refine the exercises that have made my shoulder begin to function normally, and it’s been so critical to both improvement and tracking improvement. I highly recommend this rehab method to anyone as it puts the power in the client by teaching you more about how your body works. Turns out I needed both physiotherapy and coaching, and Josh offers all of that!

Josh is amazingly knowledgeable and efficient. I enjoy each physio session with Josh as he listens to his patients’ needs and personalizes the session with thoughtful guidance. I had constant pain on my left shoulder for a while as I have to sit in front of the computer for so long everyday. And it went away after 2 months I started having physio sessions with Josh. He made a very efficient exercise plan for me to improve my movement, flexibility and strength on my upper body, which helped a lot with the shoulder problem. Josh also has been helping me to build core and back strength to have better body posture and to perform better in weight training. Highly recommend Josh to everyone!

Super knowledgeable, supportive and friendly staff. Kinetic Labs has all the equipment needed for physiotherapy exercises. I recently had a very tricky wrist injury that persisted for more than 12 months despite personal efforts to revert the injury. Joshua from Kinetic Labs helped me reach total recovery in just around 4 sessions. With careful examination and tailored exercises prescribed to take home, my wrist is as good as new. Throughout the treatment process, Joshua also guided me through the details of physiology and muscles involved with the injury; now, this knowledge helps me stabilize and prevent future injuries. I would absolutely recommend Kinetic Labs and Joshua Chung!

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Whether you're looking for great attention to rehab an injury, build a specific workout plan or just looking for a great place to get a massage, this is the go to. Josh is incredible - Helped me quickly turn around an ankle injury and was consistently checking in. Offering follow up support and updates to the plan. I currently work with him to build out and structure my workout split to be tailored to my needs. May Loo is also a fantastic massage therapist. Even though I moved out of the neighborhood, I find myself making the trip back to see her. Most important of all - Everyone here listens to you.

If you train in mma, go see Josh! I came in with knee and foot pain from strenuous training (kickboxing, running) and he catered a personalized plan as he understands the nuanced needs of mixed martial artists. He is very knowledgable in his field and cares about his patients. Andrea who works at the front desk is always kind and helpful in all scheduling needs! Given the friendly and non judgmental atmosphere, I would recommend Kinetic Labs to my fellow athletes who wishes to take their training to the next level.

Staff is super friendly and the place is nice. They offer personalized in-depth motion analytics to help improve movement, which is definitely unique. Josh is the only Physio who's able to help me recover from a 5-year chronic recurrent ankle sprain when I was about to give up on it. He's also helped me understand movement and that the limitations I thought my body had were not real. Definitely recommend.
