This is the complaint I have just made to Royal Mail regarding unprofessional staff behaviour. I urge anyone else who is made to feel uncomfortable to do the same, it is unacceptable staff behaviour. "I was served by a young lady who is usually serving there. I had one parcel to send via 2nd class standard delivery. When I approached the desk, I said "one parcel, 2nd class standard please" as I usually don't add the word standard, she always asks me if standard or recorded so I thought I would make it quicker by adding that information this time. She repeated what I thought was confirmation of this, I just said yes. When I saw she had a recorded delivery sticker in her hand, I looked and told her "no, I wanted standard" to which she responded "no you SAID signed “ I said “no, I said standard,” she said “you SAID SIGNED and I repeated it back to you and you confirmed” I said, “oh sorry about that, I need standard.” I know full well I said standard. I rarely use signed as I only get standard parcel amount for my parcels. It took her all of three seconds to place the sticker back on the slip and change the sale to standard. What SHOCKED me was the attitude and manner in which she spoke to me and the quiet aggression in her tone. I was taken completely aback and embarrassed by it, there were customers behind me and another gentleman serving with her behind the screen. I felt spotlighted and made to feel I had done something wrong when I had not. She completed the sale in a cold manner and as I took my receipt, I said “thank you.” There was no recognition from her, no goodbye, no apology, no thank you; just a stern blank expression with no eye contact. I walked away feeling awful and embarrassed. There was absolutely no reason or need for her to behave in such an unprofessional way. It was she who misunderstood me, yet she made a fuss and made sure everyone heard how I had said something incorrect. Even if I had made a mistake, this is not correct customer service, it is disrespectful and highly unprofessional. If there are internal cameras, I urge the manager at the branch to watch back the footage and firstly see that I had said standard and secondly, observe this lady’s overall mannerism when serving. I would also urge that serious customer service training is needed for this lady. Just 2 minutes away from my house! The atmosphere around you is so heart warming and the staff are exeptionally kind! Its a 2 in 1 post office & gift shop! Bought liquid glue there for slime there and worked really good! I go there at least 4 times a week just to say ' hi! ' as they are so nice to me and my children! 5 Stars! Definitely recommend for the people around the Queens Park area!

WOW, Super Efficient and Not a Job's Worth set up to scam customers (like tbe ones recntly opened at Alfreton Rd, South Normanton, Alfreton DE55 2AS) I travel (in this climate/covid19 as a Royal Mail Customer) over 12 miles round trip to avoid the staff at my local branch

I've been using these guys for years. They're very lovely, especially the shop owners sons. They always make me laugh when I'm there! I've never had a single issue so far and don't ever expect to. Highly recommend if you want quick and friendly service

A really great post office! It is based in a very small convenience store. The staff are efficient and very friendly. And it is extremely handy for picking up Amazon parcels. I have only discovered it recently but will continue to support it.

Lovely staff both at at the shop and post office counter. Great opening hours. Even though they’ve been reduced. Would be very a short wait if customers organised themselves before getting to the counter. Highly recommended for PO services.

Closes before advertised times, which is very annoying when you make your way extra to this specific post office because of its "late opening times" just to see a locked shop and be waved away 15 mins before the actual closing time

Popped into this unassuming post office to return a package. You could easily walk straight past it. Really glad I didn’t, super helpful, friendly staff. Now I know it is there will definitely use again!

Terrible post office. System down apparently last 30 mins of opening hour suspiciously. No one even tried to contact their 'it' they just seemed happy they get an early end of shift.
