Lovely restaurant, great location, the best beer! One of the main selling points of this restaurant is the "tank beer" which is the most fresh and tasties beer you can ever get - something worth visiting for! We did enjoy the perfectly served "mixed beer" also known as "rezane pivo" (combination of light pilsner type of beer and dark beer) and an appetizer in the form of beef tartar with bread and garlic. I am not a fan of tartar being already mixed, but I must say it was delicious, all the flavour was there, well balanced and the meat was very fresh! Even though it was listed as a 100 gram appetizer we were offered a bigger portion (150 gram) as it was meant to be for the two of us. The menu is quite extensive offering typical Czech delicacies such goulash, schnitzel or duck. The service was extremely nice, friendly and welcoming, able to satisfy customers and meet their demands - something you don't see often in the city center of Prague! On top of that they let us charge our phones without raising an eyebrow! I really appreciate that! We sat outside (even though it was hot during our visit and the inside was air conditioned) in order to enjoy the beautiful location of where the restaurant is situated - in the heart of the old city with a view of the small square and beautiful buildings around! Dnes jsme se chtěli najíst v této restauraci, která je v blízkosti naší kanceláře, a kam jsme v době covidu často chodili pro jídlo, abychom je v nelehké situaci podpořili, a jak jsme byli zklamaní hned při vstupu do restaurace. Chtěli jsme se usadit u stolečku, který byl připraven pro tři osoby, hned v levém rohu u vstupu. Obsluhující dáma nás upozornila ať počkáme, že jej musí ještě setřít. Tak jsme poslušně čekali. Jaké pro nás bylo překvapení, když stoly rozdělila a připravila pro 2x 2 osoby. Sdělila jsem jí, že jsme tři, a že stoly mohla ponechat spojené. Její reakce byla dosti zvláštní. Sdělila nám, že napravo a vzadu mají dostatek volných stolů pro více lidí, kam si můžeme sednout. Tak nevím, nejdříve nás informovala, že stůl pouze utře a abychom počkali a poté nás odešle k jinému stolu. Znechuceně jsme odešli do jiné restaurace. Asi si budeme muset počkat, až si zase začnou vážit zákazníků.

Beautiful meal here. Service was attentive without being pushy, great vibe, fabulous food. The grill on each table was so good, even for a vegetarian. I’d highly recommend the halloumi with a side of blanched veg which grilled so well. Delicious sauces with it too. Do leave room for dessert though. Amazing

One kid was so wiped out he slept on the booth bench- server was lovely about it. Chef made three plain spaghetti with just butter - so comforting for kids!

This was the first place I visited in the Czech Republic, but under the old owner. It was called Ceska hospoda and we had a great time there in 1993! Now it's all new. The interior is nice and spacey. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is up to date, brief and good. The food was prepared well. Don't expect the top, but good with a beer. It's situated in the centre, in a part not that visited by tourists. At least if you walk to the left, away from Parizka. It's worthwhile walking around these streets. They have some tables outside, so you can enjoy the city spirit when eating and drinking. Please do try this place.

Skvělá restaurace, kde obědvá tolik mladých právníků, špičkových IT mistrů, hezkých asistentek a občas i Jan Kanyza (což je nějaký gurmán, rozmazlený svou rozmilou, pracovitou a hodnou ženou Žofií), že by byl hřích ji nenavštívit. Obědové menu je s ohledem na hyperatraktivní místo v české metropoli cenově dostupné pro každého, kdo tvrdě pracuje - už v půl jedné je obvykle téměř vše snědeno. Personál naprosto špičkový a profesionální, kuchař nadstandardně dobrý, Plzeň je opečovaná tím nejlepším tam možným způsobem. Je, zkrátka, dobrá. Katr je dobrý. Doporučuji s chutí! Tak! i

4 days in Prague and this is by far the best food I've had. The schnitzel is great and the mashed potatoes is the best I have had. The tea was using real mint..it was just perfect! Thank you for the quick, delicious food. I could also charge my phone and had enough space to move around (not small like most places in Prague). Close to the center and a favourite with locals too. I 100% recommend!

A lovely restaurant indeed. I visited the place for the second time and I was just as satisfied now. I ordered trout with onion sauce and roasted potatoes, and the fish was perfectly prepared, really tasty. My wife had gnocchi with wild boar ragout, and she liked it a lot. I can also recommend my dessert, a chocolate-caramel cake - or the almond cake which I had last time. The place has a very positive vibe, the waiters are super friendly, kind and smiling all the time. 5/5 stars for sure.

This place is the perfect blend of a reasonably priced good fun bar and quality restaurant. The service was excellent, when they got a chance to serve you as the place started off as busy when we arrived and absolutely heaving when we left. Book a table in advance to avoid disappointment

Clearly a sports oriented bar and restaurant but stopped here for a quick mid day meal as it was there. Friendly staff and quick to serve and the food was ordered and out fast. I don't like potatoe salad so asked the to substitute it with fries with my veal and no problem there.

Very nice restaurant where they serve tasty traditional Czech dishes. The meat is perfectly cooked, it's tender and melting in mooth. We recommend you the veal and the boar, even if you are not a meat amateur. You can also try here the unfiltered Pilsner, just ask for it (it is not on the menu). The waiters are polite and gentle !

Very busy pub restaurant a short walk from the Metropolitan Hotel, full of locals and tourists. TV was showing football world so plenty of noise. Food we had grilled chopped veal, mashed potato and sugar peas and grilled veal liver, rich sauce and thich fries which were both very tasty. Washed down with two large dark beers.

Moc fajn restaurace, výborná Plzeň a skvělá obsluha. Koncept grilování je super. Jen hvězda dolů a point k zamyšlení - servírování sýrů ke grilování a čerstvé zeleniny hned vedle nebo rovnou na syrovém mase není ok. Zelenina je pak de facto nepoživatelná, ale jen na ozdobu, protože salát neogrilujete a bakterie ze syrového masa si nelajznete. Sýr sice grilujete, ale krátkou dobu a stejně mi nepřipadá fajn, když je na syrovém mase. Příště prosím zvlášť. :)

Brezen 2023, pivo za 65, jidlo za 330 czk. Vyborna plzinka (srovnatelna s lokaly), krasne a ciste misto, super obsluha. Pomer vykon cena za jatra za mne neodpovidala, ikdyz omacka byla skvela. Hvezdicka dolu taky za podmiracky (za ktery jsem v tyhle cenovy hladine vzdycky lehce nastvanej). Ve stredu meli plno a slape jim to ocividne dobre.

Po dnesnim zazitku snizuji z 5 na 2 hvezdy za dobre pivo a jidlo. Ale ve chvili, kdy obsluha vyridi cloveka, stojiciho ve fronte za vami, jen proto, ze ho zrejme zna a jeste vam do oci rekne “ja jen vyridim tady pana”, si nezlaslouzi vyssi hodnoceni nez kdejaka putyka ctvrte cenove kategorie. S klidem jsem si nechal vrátit přesně na korunu a zbytek vecera jsem si radeji chodil pro pivo do vedlejsiho podniku.

We went out for dinner late one day so naturally a lot of restaurants had stopped serving proper meals for the day and was mostly just drinks. Luckily, we found this restaurant with very accommodating staff and excellent food! The food took a while to get to us but this was understandable due to how busy the restaurant was at the time. Everything was delicious and, in my opinion, well worth the wait.

Obsluha super! Starali se, co pít vždy bylo. Co se týče jídla, Steak tak v normálu na klasickou "restauraci-nic extra", brambory nedodělané, ale to se stane-bohuzel to měl celý stůl. Co mě nejvíc naštvalo bylo, že jsem měl bundu umazanou od dipu, který xkrat upustila obsluha na zem. Za večer jsem si ji čistil asi 2x. Po příjezdu domů znovu, proto dávám 2 hvězdy dolů.

Really great restaurant. My friend and I got the doc with the lentils. It was really good and tasty. My dad got the goulash and he really loved it, really flavorful and the same for my mom who got the veal! We also ordered the almond and orange cake which was lovey! We would highly recommend this restaurant! Wasn’t touristy at all and you could tell that everything was homemade.

The Google reviews werent wrong about this place! The dark beer was so good I ordered another! The grapefruit lemonade was a little sour and a bit bitter but the beef cheek goulash was spot on (the bread dumplings were very heavy). I thought the confit goose was delicious but a little oily but worked perfectly with the sauerkraut and potato pancake. All this for czk800.

Vynikajici jidlo (cokoliv co jsem zkusil), grilovane speciality, polevky, tatarak a dalsi speciality k pivu a k tomu vynikajici Plzen z tanku. Pokud mam prostor, navstevu nevynecham !

Moc pěkná restaurace, musím vyzdvihnout obsluhu, ta je prostě skvělá. Pivo Plzeň jak má být, vychvaloval se i černý kozlík, ale ten jsem nekoštoval. Jídlo velice dobré .. jatýrka, hambáč, jelení ve stylu vepřovky ... skvělý předkrm... no a ty domácí chipsy Při troše štěstí narazíte na celebritu. Tou naší byl charismatický a velmi elegantní Jirka Bartoška.

Excellent food in a fun, casual atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good mix of traditional Czech as well as twists on standards, e.g. the hamburger. Which was very good. My companion had the "pork belly" tho we would say ribs, and they were tender and delicious. We did not do the table top grilling option, but would like to return and try that.

Výborně točená plzeň. Originální příprava pokrmů- host si griluje maso/zeleninu na vlastní desce na stole. Bezchybná a milá obsluha.

Went here because it was recommended by the prague foodie map as the restaurant with the best goulash. We can only second that! The goulash was fantastic, definitely the highlight of our trip! Service was good as well and the restaurant has a cool vibe. A bit pricier than the average restaurant, but worth every penny!

Probably one of the best steaks I have tasted. I’m used to high prices in restaurants in my own country, so I was surprised that you could get such good quality food (+ drinks) for a “low” price. The service was also very good, but they only take cash.

Fantastic service for the three of us, a baby and a dog. We sat out the front and spent a very pleasant afternoon enjoying the drinks and some lunch. All dishes were excellent and the pasta with meat sauce was as good as any I've ever had anywhere in the world.

Really excellent kitchen, fine beer, we enjoyed our visit. It is not among cheapest, but a real good price/quality rate! I would definitely visit again. I can advise to make a reservation, because it gets busy during meal times.

Incredible food. The beef cheek goulash was the meal of the day, but the goose leg with potato pancakes was close behind. Recommended by the Wallpaper City Guide, and it was a great recommendation.

Loved it. Absolutely everything. Food was excellent, we had about 6 different dishes among 4 of us. The service was first class. Dont leave Prague without coming here. Can't wait to come back.

Chicken wings should not so be sour, they tasted like they were dipped in acid, the waiter approved.

Pivo vždy ok, jídlo super. Obsluha by měla min kecat u pokladny. To dřív nebývalo čekat na pivo.
