Ladies, gentlemen, and exhausted parents, gather 'round, for I am about to regale you with the epic tale of my family's uproarious escapades at the wondrous Kachina Park! This playground, my friends, is not merely a collection of slides, monkey bars, and the like. Nay, it is a magical land of mischief, and unbridled toddler mayhem. And so, our story begins... Kachina Park, you see, has recently undergone a fantastical transformation. Its updated equipment shimmers like a beacon of hope for parents seeking respite from their energetic offspring. But beware, dear reader, for within this enchanted oasis lies a web of challenges and intrigue that would make even Indiana Jones break a sweat! My fearless 2-year-old, whom I shall affectionately refer to as "Captain Chaos," wasted no time in asserting his reign over Kachina Park. With the tenacity of a honey badger and the agility of a spider monkey, he zipped through the toddler area, leaving a trail of befuddled parents in his wake. It was as if he were the ringleader of a pint-sized circus, and we, the audience, were held captive by his daring feats. Meanwhile, my brave 4-year-old, an aspiring mountaineer, set his sights on conquering the park's newest attraction: the mighty rope ladder. With the determination of a seasoned climber, he scaled the seemingly insurmountable heights, as I held my breath and muttered silent prayers to Jesus. I was half-expecting to receive a distress call from him via walkie-talkie, but alas, he persevered! As my little ones engaged in their valiant pursuits, I sought refuge beneath the park's large gazebo thingy (technical term, of course) to escape the scorching sun ☀️. Here, I found solace among fellow parents, who exchanged knowing glances and humorous anecdotes about their own children's antics. It was a veritable melting pot of camaraderie and commiseration, all set beneath a beautifully crafted, shade-providing structure. Kachina Park, it seems, has thought of everything. From the thrilling slides that echo with the gleeful screams of tiny thrill-seekers, to the nostalgia-inducing monkey bars that transport parents back to their own playground days, this place is truly a gem. And let's not forget the pièce de résistance: the toddler area, where the smallest of visitors can unleash their inner wild child while their guardians look on in equal parts amusement and horror . So, if you find yourself in search of a playground experience that will leave you laughing, shaking your head, and marveling at the boundless energy of youth, look no further than Kachina Park. I guarantee that by the end of your visit, you'll have enough stories to fill a novel, a newfound appreciation for the power of a well-placed gazebo, and perhaps even some impressive rope ladder skills to add to your parenting résumé. Kachina Park, we salute you!

This is the park in my neighborhood. Friendly people nice to dogs. Dog friendly. Playground equipment for young kids. Two pavilions. It's a small neighborhood park just right.
Playground
Slides , swing, climbing. For younger kids
Restrooms
No restrooms
Dog-friendliness
Lots of neighborhood dogs here
Picnic area
Two covered pavilions with picnic tables and several picnic benches

Nice little park with a large play area for the kids. A couple of things...doesn't have restrooms (which is probably normal for a park this size) and needs to be cleaned more often, specifically, the table areas. Some are sticky and smell of old sun dried beer. Outside of that, it has nice open spaces and enjoyed the afternoon with the family.

It does not have a parking lot! Only on street parking. They recently redid the entire playground so everything is new. There is a large climbing play area, a small area for little ones, swings, and a sand area with a water pump for playing in the sand. Walking trails and benches as well. It is small but nice

Kachina is a cute park tucked away in the middle of Arcadia. It is very small though with no toilet facilities which loses it points. There is also nothing very aesthetically interesting or historic about it I could see. It gets the job done as a safe, close neighborhood park and that is all.

  • Jerry Summers

Kachina is our closest park and our dogs love to read pe-email with or without attachments. Phoenix Parks & Rec just planted 19 more trees along the street perimeter and added a new LED lamp in the center. Feel safe and look forward to the trees growing up and helping us all breath better.

Nice park during light hours, after it gets dark the weirdos come out and teens in the area use the place as a unchecked area to do drugs. Been out here many times with my kids and had to destroy the drug paraphernalia they leave behind so little kids dont pick the stuff up.

Newly renovated park with swings and toddler swings. Wood chips cover the ground beneath the two large climbing structures. The only semi negative, if I had to give one, is the lack of parking, or rather all I could find was street parking of which there were plenty.

  • Karen Oliver

Very clean park, fun colors on the playground equipment. This park is more for the 2-5 year age range and smaller dogs. Open areas for some some soccer skills practice, and a few covered seating areas and trees to provide shade. Drinking fountain but no restrooms.

  • Christopher Butler

Kachina part is a nice.little neighborhood park. There are ramadas and a covered play structure. There's sand and a spout that will sputter water if an adult holds the button down to wet the sand for play. My only real complaint is the lack of bathrooms.

  • Katie Mehin

The park has baby swings, a toddler area, and a 4+ play area. The playground has sand surrounding the play pieces and even a water spigot so kids can make mud. Smart to bring a pail and shovel if you have littles who will want to dig.

  • Jeff W.

Nice neighborhood park with some shade over the playground. FYI - no bathrooms; in the past year or so they upgraded the playground so everything is relatively new
Playground
New equipment from either 2022 or 2023

  • Katherine Porter

This is a great little park to sit and catch up with friends. It has a small play area for kids and plenty of picnic tables. Lots of green grass to spread out a blanket and enjoy the Arizona sun.

  • Cherissa Medina

Ramadas can be reserved which is nice. It's a great location, but there aren't any restrooms. There's a nice sized playground and grassy areas. Just difficult with not having a bathroom.

  • Christy Radovcic

Great neighborhood park with friendly families. Safe for small toddlers with not too many big kids running around. Plenty of sand for playing. The only con is there are no bathrooms.

  • Mary Trujillo

I didn't walk the park just stayed in car. Park use to have a lot of weeds with burrs so I quit walking my dog here. Don't know if it's any better but just a nice neighborhood park.

  • Mayhem

A really pleasant time. First time experience and we went around 4pm and it was busy with a lot of parents and children. My siblings had a blast and made some friends as well.

  • D. M. VILLA

Good quiet place to visit for lunch during the week. Close to all sorts of stuff. Take your lunch or puck something up, park and enjoy in your car or outside. I loved it.

  • Alex Bollt

Small neighborhood park and playground. Brand new playground but other than that typical for a Phoenix city park. A few Ramadas and bbqs but no other real amenities.

  • Anthony Roy

Great park, very family oriented, safe, and keeps the kids busy while parents recharge or you can join them for playtime if you're up for it. Certainly recommend.

  • Charlie Szymanski

Kid loves the swing. Nice to have close by, lots of sand. Wish they'd improve the water faucet for sand play and my dream is they'd add a splash pad someday.

  • Charles Baber

We are from out of town and took my grandson down there to play for a while. The only thing I don't like is some people don't clean up after their dogs.

  • Gabriel Chavez

Nice quite park with all the kids amenities they need to keep busy and walking path around the park to stretch out your legs and get some cardio in to!

  • BOBBY PEREZ

The place is nice to get your kids they will enjoy the slides as well as other things. You can do yoga as well as the ground is well maintained.

  • Rebeca Carroll

Nice place. Clean and with a lot of space. We need to take care of it picking our dog's feces, because lots of children all ages play there.

  • Daniel Coogan

Safe, clean and play equipment in good shape.
Playground
Actually had areas with shade, which is a huge bonus for a grandparent.

  • Danielle Flores

This is a great small park for little ones. There is no public restroom but it's well maintained and has a decent playground

  • Ashley Spotts

Nice park, people are always nice, water spigot for play, tables and some shade, no bathroom, playground a little beat up

  • EJ Lastname

Great park! But I am biased, in the early '70's it was the field for my grade school so there are a lot of good memories.

  • Justin De Graaf

perfect neighborhood playground, friendly people and kids always there, shade over the play structure, and room to move!

  • Stacie Barreras

Very quiet park. Great to just kick back and enjoy the weather, read a book or throw a ball around. Covered ramadas.
