I use to be all for precinct 5-2 but after going to 5-1, I prefer it over the one I've been going to for years. The staff is friendly, they actually answer the phone and you are serviced in a timely manner. I can no longer say that about Judge Jasso's court clerks. Both Judge Martinez and Jasso are excellent but the clerks at Judge Martinez office are so much better!!! They know what they are doing and you don't have to wait 6 hours to file a writ like you do a 5-2. Thank you!

Just spoke with Keisha and she helped me navigate through a problem I had with old tickets that I was not aware of. She listened and didn't get frustrated with my repeated questions regarding my old tickets. It's refreshing to speak to someone who is understanding of your situation and who doesn't get rude because you don't understand or need clarification. Keep up the great work Keisha because there are people out here that really appreciate people like you!

Was sued by Galaxy Purchasing for a debt I have no knowledge of yet this court ruled in their favor anyway. I was issued no papers indicating I was involved with a lawsuit. I received a letter stating a judgement has been awarded to this shady debt collector after learning that my bank account has been frozen.. I have contacted lawyer but it's too late now since I have a judgement against me. My only option now is file bankruptcy over a bogus debt

I would never vote for Sara Martinez as a Judge. She doesn't listen to both sides of the case. It will be a waste of money and time. If you ever have to file a case choose Judge Juan Jasso or Judge Thomas G. Jones. They are reasonable and fair to both side of a case and never show a biased opinion which is a poor quality in a judge.

Omg! I came here super nervous and scared because of the reviews I read but I had no reason to worry. Mayra and Ms Linda and even the book keeper helped me and were absolutely the sweetest. All my nerves instantly disappeared when talking with these ladies. Mayra was so knowledgeable and gave off great energy.

Judge Martinez was great she helped us with our situation. One of her clerks I believe her name is Carmen was so rude and not approachable. We were there just picking up a documents and she was purposely laughing, because she was making us wait and not acknowledging everyone that was standing there.

Judge Martinez, very unfair wouldn't listen to anything I had to say, she only listened to the defendant, wouldn't even let me present proof I had. And I was the plaintiff . I wouldn't bring cat to her courtroom. Unfair and unjust. If you want a fair case go somewhere else

If you value fairness and justice do not choose this court. Corporations don't even have to file a response, show up or contest lawsuits and they still win cases in front of Judge Martinez. The People of JP 5-1 deserve much better. Choose another JP court.

Judge Martinez to begin change my ceremony from 3:30 to 4:30 and at that she was not friendly at all. She rushed to get us married and get us out of the court. The worst judge ever especially on my wedding day!

Very unorganized, office is pretty vacant & that chief clerk is simply unbothered. They don’t care to have good customer service because at the end of the day, “it’s not their problem”.

I was placed on hold for 36 minutes, no one answered the phone after being placed on hold. They need some serious help!

Went for small claims today and the security guard man as well as Ashley were amazingly kind and patient with me.

do yourself a favor and stay away from this precinct as much as you can. insane judge and staff.

Civil line isn’t long, I didn’t catch the reps name but she was attentive and helpful
