We used to love Jimmy's pre covid. It was always busy, had a great salad bar too. We have been there 4 times now since they were up and running again and honestly have been so disappointed in just about everything. We booked for 6:30pm. Admittedly we got there at 6:40pm. There were no more than 18 -20 people in the dining room. We ordered a kids cheeseburger meal, a beef burger and a chick burger. We finished our first round of drinks and had to ask several times where our food was? It was not busy by any means. At 8pm the waitress said your burgers are just being built now! At 8:05pm we got our meals. The chips were burnt. The kids meal came out 20 mins before we knew where ours were. The meat patty was solid as a rock around the edges. Our son couldn't bite into it. My partner complained and as usual he was told we only have one chef working. They say that all the time. We definitely will not be going back again. The quality is terrible now and the waiting time on a simple meal is just ridiculous.

Facilities are great for kids with large out door playgrounds. Inside there are 3 gaming consoles with only one working at the time we visited. My kids like salad and vegetables so it would be nice to have the option to add something healthier to the kids plates otherwise the kids meals are a bit too bland. Cheeseburger was overcooked and like a rock around the edges. 9yr had a schnitzel and it's just a regular schnitzel cut in half. Other venues would serve with a small garden salad or some roast veg and offer gravy.

Jimmy Deane’s, where do I start?!? 1. Drink served in cracked glass. 2. Two people from our group ordered a Moscato which was bitter. 3. One person from the group ordered a Margarita which was strong and salty. Requested for this to be replaced, only to be forgotten. 15 minutes passed when a new one came out, with the excuse of “we only have one shaker”. That might be the case, but I watched from a distance and not once was the shaker picked up. 4. In a group of 18 people, one child received their meal, while the other two waited with bated breath….that wait was 50 minutes later, and after majority of the adult meals came out. 5. Chicken on burger was dry. I’m glad I had a drink handy to help it go down. 6. Beef schnitzel, ordered by a friend, looked burnt and deep fried. It was uneatable. 7. I’m sure I’ve already mentioned it, but meals took nearly an hour to come out. Overall, I’m very disappointed and will not visit this establishment again.

I really want to rate this a lot higher but feel providing feedback is an opportunity to review and improve. If you want to We ordered drinks at the bar firstly and were made to feel at fault when the drinks prepared weren’t the ones asked for. We had also booked a table at a certain time and when we went to order, we were told that because we had ordered after a huge table order, our meals would be 45 minutes. These weren’t complicated meals. We waited up to an hour after asking after 45 minutes where they are - quite disappointed at the quality of the meal for the amount charged. A waitress threw a basket of bread rolls down at some point. We are new to the club. Not a wonderful way of encouraging us to come back. Disappointing. The staff didn’t appear to have the customer front of mind Didn’t look like they wanted to be there. Not a great experience.

Was part of the largest group that booked out the venue last Saturday night 4th Dec 22. We arrived at 6.30pm but did not get to order until 8.22pm which was unacceptable considering we had children in the group as young as 2. Bread rolls and garlic bread plus drinks were served but our tables meals did not arrive until about 9.10pm. Our booking was from 6.30pm to 9pm. The food was good and the service attentive. However 4 of our company did not get a main meal and less than half of the group got their ordered desserts. They closed the kitchen at 10pm. HIre of the music equipment was paid for but other patrons complained so it could not be used until after 8.30pm. The family who hired the venue had a previous booking for a family birthday and enjoyed it but this event was unsatisfactory. I felt so sad for the 4 teenage boys that got nothing to eat and had to share their burgers really late in the evening.

Dined there yesterday with a group of friends for the second time in the last 2 months. No better the second time round. First time cold steak, yesterday overcooked tough salt and pepper squid, lack lustre chips and salad. However I must congratulate the bar staff (Jazzy) who was amazing when dealing with an elderly couple who had several vouchers and couldn't decide which ones to use. She very patiently explained to them several times what the difference was and in the end they didn't use any of them and went with the senior's meal. She did this with a smile and courtesy even though there were many people in line to order. Also to Megan the waitress who was a delight when tending our table. Management are lucky to have these two wonderful staff members.

Quiet lunch, not many tables but waited a fair time for meals (fri lunch & ordered before the big mob) service was pretty ok, two friendly waiters no complaints here. High chair was filthy, wouldn't hurt for a complete bleach & scrub down every now & then as it was pretty gross !! Ordered Southern Fried Chicken Burger..... it was vial !!! Huge slab of chicken breast, coated in what was an infusion of peri peri not southern fried, soggy tomato (days old) unwashed lettuce leaves, yes coz there was dirt amongst it. Lets just say it was not was advertised on the menu. Not enjoyable, wont recommend... Cosi got this place completely wrong! Huge let down..

We had the worst dinner ever here a while back. Hubby and I ordered chicken schnitzels. They were both over cooked and burnt. I physically could not swallow it. I sent it back and explained the situation. What I received back was no different. My hubby cut his gums on the burnt crumbs. It was so bad. When I sent my second one back and explained again the problem, I got told I could fill up on the salad and vegie bar if I wanted! No offer if a voucher to come back another time for a better meal. Nothing. I just hope to God they have a new chef by now, cos he/she was absolutely atrocious! Have never been back!

First time diners for lunch. The roast was dry and just terrible with vegetables that had been sitting for some time even though we were the first to order for the day. Chicken Buddha bowl, avocado was brown and in general was pretty ordinary for the $28 charge. Tried to speak with a lady prior to leaving to provide our feedback but she got angry and was not listening to my feedback. She said if we told her earlier they would have fixed or made another- my point was to get it right in the first place. The lady I spoke to was not really interested in this feedback. I would not attend this venue again.

The service time was beyond ridiculous to recieve the meals which was around 80mins to get the food, told a table number and had to find it myself, the food was disgusting and dry my chicken tasted like it had been in an oven for an hour drying out, the atmosphere was horrible, the price is by far super ridiculous, not only for the quality of food being served but in comparison to other dining options. 100% waste of money and waste of time, Do not fool yourself into going here. Worst dinner experience I have honestly had.

22nd oct was my 34th wedding anniversary, my husband, my son and me. My son had the salt and pepper squid it was cooked absolutely beautiful, I had seafood ( prawns on a skewer) a piece of crumbed butterfish, couple of salt and pepper squid and thin cut chips, my husband had crumbed fish with chips and vegetables on the side.The only complaint was they used frozen veg instead of fresh vegetables. But other than that it was very nice. Oh we did order the lamb on a rack in plum sauce but too be told they were out of that. Disappointing but other meal we had was good .

Wow.. First up can’t complain about the service (as it’s basically non existent).. Staff were pretty unfriendly but I eventually managed to get a couple of grunts here and there.. Maybe could be taught to smile on odd occasion ? Played pokies for a while and watched the poor old lady next to me order what was apparently a ham and cheese sandwich ?It looked like microwaved bread with a cheese slice thrown in then run over with a steamroller.. She asked me what I thought and we both laughed.. I decided to buy my dinner from somewhere.. Anywhere else..

It's my local and very popular on match day! I visited today to meet with friends who lunched there. They were delighted with their meals and the service. Excellent bistro food at a most reasonable price with heaps of specials! Great coffee too! Always easy parking. Highly recommended.

Will not be returning! Bar staff didn't know where we were booked in, sent us upstairs but we were booked in downstairs. I had to check the seating arrangement chart myself as there was no one at the 'Please wait here to be seated' sign. Meals took over 1hr to arrive AND the chips were cold, the schnitzel was JUST warm, the plates were cold AND the Hollandaise was straight out of the fridge! REALLY! So disgusted with this place

Organised event of over 80 (6:30pm-9pm). Zero communication on food ordering and eventually coming out at 7:30-8?!? To take orders for main. Food didn’t arrive till 8:40 and some after 9 when the event had technically finished and even some didn’t even get their food. Salads and sauces were missing, they closed the kitchen so 3/4 of people didn’t get their dessert and overall staff attitude and overall experience was surprising in how it was consistently… trash.

My dad had a 40th birthday and we had bad service. And my food took so long and i had the cheese burger on the kids menu and the bread was so bad and dried up it looked like it was Style and we were setting up and they just sat there doing nothing. And we asked them to help and they said that it was not there jod to and then my dad said we are not going there ever again and they loke OK DON'T COME HIRE

Went to a 40th birthday party last night (a private function of over 70 people) and waited an hour and half to order my food and waited an hour for it to arrive (8.40 pm). The plates were cleared at 9.30 pm. The staff never came around for dessert and when we asked about it, they informed us that they shut the kitchen so over 60 people never got one. The service was very minimal and the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there.

Where to start, the food for the entire table was cold to room temperature when it arrived. This was after waiting a long time for food. The schnitzel are all cooked together by the looks and prepaired, then the toppings are added and just grilled to allow the top layer of cheese to melt. The only thing I can say that makes this place any good is the fact that the waiting staff, expecially the girl we had was friendly and patent.

Had no idea this gem existed. Met a friend for lunch ...place was friendly, staff were helpful /knowledgable with wine selection. Food was fresh and well presented. Patrons also friendly, for a large dining space it felt cosy and had an intimate feel about it. We had a table with views to the sea and of the oval. Would recommend dining there.....

The meal was fit for a King and Queen I cleaned my plate real clean like my mumma told me to do and after that a man ,elderly like kept going to the toilet many times he must have a prostrate problem he kept asking my wife if she was OK, I thought that odd you nosey like he sure can't hold his drink I still wonder if he got home ok.

Took almost 40 minutes to serve a normal milk tea ( btw, I ordered a black tea!!), And the food we eagerly ordered was served with a strand of hair in it. Don't wanna make a fuss about it, but it certainly spoils the reputation and lovely ambience.

I was there on Sunday for the $15.00 roast special. The meat was tough as old boots and served on top of under cooked wrinkled up potatoes. the desert was a TINY piece of chocolate cake. I keep going back hopping its going to be better but...it never is ! That's it for me ....WONT BE BACK EVER.

Good food served promptly. Bar and gaming service were both very slow and staff seemed more interested in chatting to other staff than serving customers. My first time here so hopefully service improves on my next visit

Cold floppy chips with the meal. Grilled fish was cooked in water. Steak sandwich had chewy steak and small amount of salad. Very unappetizing meals. Will never go back for Saturday lunch. We were the only ones in the restaurant, that was a big clue right there!

Staff was fantastic. We found the veggies were cooked from frozen, didn't taste very nice. Seating area needs to be away from the register so your not being invaded bye hungry waiting customers.

Took my 87 yr old father in law, he was disappointed and so was I and my wife, service was well unexciting with no customer sense of commitment from the waiter, think the job doesn't suit , food was fine ,hope the tourists get better service.

Not good. Booked table for six as it was mother-in-law birthday lunch. Wo small bits of Kangaroo were overdone and chewy, and the mash potato resembled something out of a packet. No jui with it. Roast of the day meat dry and roast potato

Food was good enough but would've just about eaten anything after waiting nearly an hour for the adults meals to come out (half hour after the kids) when it wasn't really busy. Not sure why it takes 10 minutes to not get the kids zooper

The service is superb we can not ask for better. Some of the meals looked nice and my fellow diners were happy with what they had. My meal was not ok Moroccan chicken burger was ok but the chicken was very dry so i didn't finish it.

Very disappointing meal! Salad was limp, chips had been left for too long in a bain marie, and the quiche was of very poor quality! At least the staff were friendly and efficient, and the cake was okay. Would never go there again

Not too bad. We have been a few times now and had mixed results. Hopefully they are now improved upon a major service issue some time back. The last visit was actually pretty good, so fingers crossed they keep up the good work.

This was a great location for a function, a friends 50th. Was very well exicuted. I will say there were a few hicups with our food and the lady who took out orders was a little gruff, but i enjoyed the experience overall!

Waited an hour for dinner, then an extra 30 mins on top for the kids meals. Prices are no different to a nicer restaurant. Beef snitty was full of stringy gristle bits and very small for a beef snitty.

Always a good feed, and the attentive friendly staff always make sure any gluten items are swapped for gluten free options and so far not had a cross contamination. We will continue coming here . …

Last couple of times that I've been there I've been served warm beer. When I mentioned this I was ignored and previously told that the fridge was broken but that was weeks prior

A very friendly and laid back place. Great food, lots of good gluten free options! Bistro is very open and can cater to large bookings with ease. Their weekly deals are amazing!

Best chicken schnitzel I've had in a LONG time!!!! Absolutely delicious, kids eat free on a Friday, there's a playground and loads of space for them to run around.

Staff are amazing. Food quality and the time it takes to receive it is another story. 1hr for a burger and schnitzel, this is a normal waiting time at SAFC sadly.
