I felt very blessed when James did my first bike fit a couple of years ago when he was at a different store. I immediately started getting PB's on nearly every segment and felt so very comfortable. He is a magician, scientist, and bike geek in the best way. When I heard he had moved away from my local area to the Hoppers Crossing branch, I cycled the 90km round trip, knowing it would be worth it for my 4th fitting with him. I had made a vanity purchase of some beautiful aero integrated bars not necessarily suited to the fit of my bike and my wrists were paying the price with numbness and pain within an hour of every ride. So that was a week ago that he did his magic again and not only did the pain immediately disappear, and if felt light, like I'm floating above the bars, I've since gotten FOUR top ten, ALL TIME Strava records in the next three rides!!! And I never had even one before. So what's that difference? I suddenly became a fit beast? Or more likely, James's magic bike fit eeked out the extra watts. Thank you James!

Outstanding customer service! I've purchased 3 road bikes through Ivanhoe Cycles, and most recent purchase was in May 2019. I keep coming back to Ivanhoe simply because I get good deals and excellent customer services. During my most recent purchase I've dealt with Stephen (and his team), and he made sure that all my questions (or potential concerns) were addressed and that I was getting the best possible outcome. In fact Stephen had processed my Giant warranty claim within days and he had ensured that all the dots were aligned so that I could end up back on the road on a new bike asap. I'm extremely happy with the overall outcome, Stephen's professionalism, clear communications and his will to look after my best interest. We want to buy a bike for my daughter for her ride to school. Staff refused to sell us the bike we wanted as he said the bike size is not for her (we just visited the shop few days ago and was told by another staff that it is the right size for her). We were browsing on the other bikes on display and he was yelling at us from the counter "i won't sell that to you, there is nothing for you here!". We were even planning to purchase 2 bikes from the shop as my wife really likes one of the bike but so disappointed with the customer service. Now we are planning to drive to another branch to purchase the bike even if we just live in Werribee. I bought my daughter's bike in one of the bike shop in Geelong instead.

If I didn't give them a second chance I could have given zero, I would have. Was looking at E-scooters, the lovely assistant Thomas was explaining the difference between to models when I guy came out of the service area, saying were really busy, he can print out a brochure for you. Mate I didn't want a brochure, I wanted to buy a E scooter for my daughter. I found it rude but I decided to give Thomas a second go despite the boss having a bad day, we all have bad days, but not only did Thomas help out, but we had a great discount on a helmet as well. Consider the negative feedback into a positive feedback by give people a second chance to redeem their customers faith. Well done Thomas.

got say i am dissapointed with what i accepted in hoppers crossing just after covid ,staff were great .but i ordered a special wheel rivited rim and heavier spoke s i asked for it to be built a certain way paid the money and what was delivered was an inferior wheel not what i asked for not rivited and they still charged the huge amount so as i needed a wheel urgently i accepted it and it left a bad taste in my mouth .when i went to a different bike shop got a quote for the wheel i was supplied by ivanhoe cycles it was way cheaper so not happy guys letting you know not a good way to conduct a business

I recently bought a bike helmet here. They are closed to the public under Covid Rule but after looking online I saw they had a good array of helmets starting from $60. I made contact and they agreed I could view options thru window but not allowed to touch. Attended in person, chose helmet. Friendly customer service. The storeman was keen to offer his opinion in an unbiased way. A different way of doing business but a way of life now. I would return to this store again. Edit update: and return to the store I have. Always friendly and efficient and helpful staff.

My gravel bike had a slight rear wheel hub play, took it to this store and attended by Tim and he fixed it straight away at no cost even though he was busy . I have been to other shops around and in Geelong they didn't even look at it but said busy for next few weeks. He is Gem of a person, I had a good chat with him about riding and bikes generally in short time. Very happy and going forward I will get all my bikes serviced here, I live in Geelong but it still worth the drive to get good customer service. I highly recommend Tim and this store.

just stood in the Hoppers Crossing showroom for over 10 minutes. wasn't greeted or asked if i needed help. which i was there to purchase a bike. you give me customer service - me give money for goods no other customer in store except someone in the change room trying on clothes. out of the 4 or 5 staff no one offered assistance. i don't care if you're a bike mechanic, if you see someone standing there say hi and ask them if they need assistance. then 2 groups came in and were assisted before me. Very poor customer service

The store have a good range of bikes and accessories at reasonable prices, however it was the staffs’ friendliness and the assistance towards customers that stood out to me the most. Thanks to James and his amazing effort in explaining queries of any sort, I bought the Giant TCR Advanced 3 in which I was extremely happy and satisfied with. For anyone that is looking to purchase a new bike or need any advise James Rinder at Ivanhoe Cycles (Hoppers crossing) is the person to go to!

Dropped in to Ivanhoe Cycles Hoppers Crossing to book my sons MTB in to fit a new chain. Was pleasantly surprised when Tim from the service area completed the job on the spot. (I had no expectations four days out from Christmas). Tim even calibrated the derailleur and checked the bike locating a loose headstem and handlebars which he also fixed. I highly reccomend Ivanhoe Cycles Hoppers and thank Tim for his professional service (a rare thing in the current era). AAA+++

Really want to give a 0 star for this review if there is an option. No greeting and approaching for more than 10 mins when the store is absolutely dead--no other customers except my family. Staff was"busy" behind the counter and not even bother to come out. We were planning to buy our son's first nice bike as rewarding he can ride by himself. U know what, we went to the other store just cross the road and bought the bike there. Will never step in this store again.

i spent some time with the boys at the Hoppers Crossing today and would like to say that as far as customer service goes, i have never received better, James sized me up correctly on my bike and made some adjustments that have transformed my ride, Adrian checked and serviced my bike promptly and offered some much needed technical advice, these guys have a wealth of product knowledge and no question was left unanswered, big thumbs up, brilliant service.

Taking my bike in thinking I would need a new crank arm due to a complete stuff up on my part with a pedal. The team at Ivanhoe Hoppers took to my bike, fixed my issue quickly and in the most cost effective way possible and got my baby back to me fully operational. The effort and customer service they threw at it, means they will be my go to bike shop for all the upgrades I have on my list, as well as servicing. Bloody legends!!!!!

Walked in and not even a greeting. After spending 15mins in store and after the guy at the counter finished serving a customer still no offer to help with our enquiry. Trek and 99bikes staff were friendly, professional and took the time to show their range of bicycles. I'd suggest you raise the standard of customer service otherwise go back to the eastern suburbs where that type of arrogance will be better received.

Bought a new bike on the weekend from Ivanhoe Cycles Hoppers crossing which was a breeze! Brad was very knowledgeable on the bikes then when I came back to get fitted the staff member (sorry can’t remember name!) was awesome. He was so thorough making sure all the details of my bike were fitted perfectly for me. I didn’t feel like we were being rushed, time and care was thoroughly given. Recommend!

Recently did my service for two bikes,seems like they are busy job done in hurry.. not even tested poor service was a regular customer bought bikes and accessories before very good was impress so with out looking anywhere took my two bikes for service but not happy I will not recommend anyone for service but highly recommend if you are buying new bikes or accessories .

Tom, in the workshop, is a big asset to the store. You can tell that he has a passion for cycling repairs, and customer service. Tom was able to give me some items at no charge, but still had plenty of time for a friendly conversation as well. I recommend this bike store, definitely a better alternative to the other stores in the area!

The customer Service was outstanding Adrian took really good care of my daughter listening to her needs it helped restore her and my faith in good customer service after walking out of the last place. Have been to this shop on 4 different occasions. On each occasion i stood in the shop for more than 10 minutes, no one acknowledging that a was even there, let alone ask if i needed help. On all 4 occasions there were more staff than costumers. It's unbelievable how a business can do this when retail is in recovery mode.

The mechanics here have always helped us out, given good, honest advice and have meant we can keep riding. Recently, Adrian and Tim went over and above by finding a replacement rear quickshifter they had in the spares box! Will keep coming back, they're professionals and they know what they're doing.

Adrian and Brad were life savers when I dropped my bike in with a bent rear derauiler. They did their best to try and salvage the old one. However they were unable and as a result sourced a new one so I could go out riding again ASAP! Highly recommend for service and knowledge!

Tim at Hoppers went above and beyond in assisting me in removing the rear cassette of a wheel. What took me 30 minutes and two beers to achieve nothing, Tim came to the fore and removed the offending piece of hardware in 12 seconds flat with no expletives. Tim is awesome.

I booked in with James to do a bike fit. AMAZING skills, knowledge & friendly to boot. I had purchased my bike elsewhere a few years back and was always uncomfortable. Once James had finished and I took my bike for a spin the difference was amazing! Highly recommend.

Understaffed. No one willing to help or give alternatives or options to bikes. Impression that they couldn’t care less if they get your business or not. Many other better and more professional bike shops around. Disappointing.
