Scott has helped me an extraordinary amount. Scott to the time to go over my MRI results (from a previous doctor) while explaining in plain English what the results meant. With his careful evaluation, prescriptive strengthening exercises, and super effective dry needling (and taping), he has helped me end the need for daily pain medicines. My lower back and hip areas were giving me problems for several years now, and with his help, I am back on track and strengthening the areas he determined were weaker and thus causing most of the pain symptoms. He is very thorough, yet he still only suggested a few sessions (very honest). I also really liked that he emailed me my specific PT exercises with a small video and description for each - I don't know about you, but after I leave a doctor's office, I often forget everything I was told - the email approach made it super easy to keep up with the exercises suggested. I highly recommend him! -James U. "The 3000"

I have experienced wrist pain in my dominant hand for over 6 months. I went down several paths to find help and the root cause of my discomfort which was affecting my daily work and personal life. From a hand surgeon, massage therapy, stretch therapy - no luck. I could even get a diagnosis as to what was causing my pain. I gave Integrative Physical Therapy a try as I knew my pain was from a musculoskeletal issue and my wife had much success from dry needling with cervical dystonia. During the consult visit, I felt reassured my PT knew how to get me back to doing the daily activities. As a healthcare provider, I am impressed by Integrative Physical Therapy and their ability to cater to my ever changing schedule. I would recommend anyone having pain wether neck, back, arms, legs, feet, even TMJ give this holistic approach a try. Dry needling has allowed me to operate pain free and get back to treating my own patients. Thank You.

Me and my wife have been going to Dr. Scott for almost two months now. His patient care and enthusiasm for his profession really show in his treatments and in the results of both of our recoveries. I suffer from shoulder and arm pain from injuries I've carried for half my life from baseball/weight training. We've tried it all, massages, yoga, RICE, chiropractic care, ect... Dr. Scott's dry needling treatment is the only thing that really gives me long term relief and I now feel I'm able to build myself back up and get into shape, correct my posture, and strengthen my shoulders. Before dry needling this just seemed to not be sustainable long term, but now it is with the relief from treatment. His knowledge and care for dry needling should make any nervous new patient feel like they are in the right hands. I highly recommend Scott's expertise and methods to anyone who wants to try dry needling!

This has been such a positive experience for me from the very beginning. I was in such discomfort and learned of this dry needling process through a friend. Very clean and safe environment, very professional and uplifting, and most of all very effective!! After the first session I went home a little sore which is normal, but the days to follow I was already feeling 75-80% better. Big time relief. I just completed session #2 and am happy to say the discomfort has disappeared. It is a game changing experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It truly works! Stress knots, in my shoulders and arms are pretty much nonexistent. I have 2 more sessions to go and cannot wait, this definitely gives a better quality of life from the discomfort and pain that it was causing. What are you waiting for, schedule your appointment now! You won’t be disappointed!! Dr Dixon gets 5 stars from me…!

Honestly, I chose Integrative because they were close to my home and although not many reviews (but more than most I found), they were all good. I thought my lower back pain was due to doing stupid things when I was younger. one night when I had so much pain I could not straighten up, I finally hit a point where I had to do something. I not only learned that it is not a lost cause, but can be managed easily enough. I walked out of the first appointment feeling good. I have been to other therapist offices that are working a half dozen people at one time, but this is completely one on one. I am expecting a total of 4 appointments. He does not string you along forever and even said if he cannot help with 4 visits, he cannot help me. It is a small, kind of hidden, office but definitely worth your time if insurance is not a high priority (I found the prices very reasonable as well).

I have struggled with chronic low back and hip pain for many years due to a lumbar fusion. The therapists that I have used in the past have always treated me with the same playbook for low back pain that was ineffective in reducing my pain level. Dr. Scott Dixon is amazing! He truly cares about his patients! Dr. Scott encourages me to communicate my pain level the next day after a treatment session so he can make adjustments to my treatment plan as soon as possible. I really appreciate his passion to eliminate and reduce my pain. His dedication to gain new knowledge about pain relief is unending. Dr. Scott is using a combination of standard therapies and new techniques that are helping to significantly reduce my pain level. His years of experience enabled him to quickly evaluate and develop a treatment plan that was mindful of my whole body. I strongly recommend Dr. Scott.

I had come to PT due to a knee injury that I suffered the week of Thanksgiving. I researched PT places near to my workplace for convenience. I wanted to stay away from the big PT names, just because I wanted more personalized therapy. I am SO lucky that I found Scott Dixon (Integrative Physical Therapy). I was given 6 months to a year recoup time by my Orthopedic Dr. and also the possibility of having to have surgery. I had never heard of "Dry Needling", It has made a HUGE difference in my pain level, and I have even started back at the gym. I have had such a good outcome, that I have referred my husband to Scott as well as friends and co workers. My husband has back, neck and shoulder issues. He is on his third appointment and can already tell a big difference. If you are looking for a truly caring, personalized and a knowledgeable physical therapist Scott is the one!

Im a Neuroradiologist by training recently battling trap/neck spasm which comes from years of working on a workstation. Within minutes of meeting Scott, he new exactly what was wrong with me and devised a treatment plan to help me recover. Very rarely do I come across someone in the medical field who is not only smart but confident in his abilities to treat a patient. Scott's skills are beyond PT and you will immediately sense that once you work with him. He has helped me physically and emotionally! Through exercise, neck manipulations and especially dry needling, I walk out feeling 20 years younger. Scott is always available and cares about the well being of his patients. It also helps that he is a very cool dude and cool dad!

I am getting dry needling done for chronic migraines. Yesterday was my third session. Dr. Scott greets you each time and explains exactly what he is doing. He also gets you to relax while chatting about stuff. By the time you think about “he is poking me with needles” it is done! I will say that I had dry needling done once years ago and I have no idea what they did but it was a horrible experience. Dr.Scott put my mind at ease that my first experience shouldn’t have been that way. These three sessions with him had some soreness the next day with my first session and they have decreased with each session. So far they are helping my headaches. If they help even further I will be amazed! Thanks Dr.Scott!

  • Sheryn Cohen

I have been to countless Physical Therapists over the years. Dr. Scott is the only PT that has been able to help me. He really listened to what I was telling him and worked with my limited physical abilities. I haven't been able to lie down to sleep in over 10 years. I have now slept lying down for 4 nights! He is one of the most compassionate and understanding person you will ever meet. He is more than wiling to talk with your physicians to make sure that everyone is working together. If he can't help you, he will find someone who can. I highly recommend you give him a chance to be a part of your healthcare team! Thank you Dr. Scott!

  • Luci Magliochetti

I can’t say enough about how Dr. Scott Dixon’s treatment has helped me and my husband. I came in with the usual aches and pains that come with a desk job (tight shoulders, neck pain, back pain, and regular tension headaches) and felt noticeably different in just one visit. After three or four trips, I’m looser, more aligned, and the headaches have almost disappeared. Dr. Scott has also been a miracle worker for my husband, who has been dealing with pain from sports injuries for years. He’s gone from feeling like he’ll be managing pain and discomfort for the rest of his life to having long-term relief and healing. Thank you, Dr. Scott!

  • Fawn Black

Dr. Scott Dixon is a tenant at the property that I manage. I sent him an email asking if there was a way to relieve a sciatic flair up that hit me last night. He quickly responded and asked if I could come in today at 11:00 and I told him definitely! During this visit, Dr. Dixon knew exactly how to relieve the pain I was experiencing. For those who have had sciatica, you know it is extremely painful to sit/bend. When I left his office, I was able to touch my toes and bend with very little discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. Dixon for any of your physical therapy needs! Not only is he a great doctor but an even greater person!

  • Courtney Bell

Integrative Physical Therapy has been fantastic! Started going to this practice when I was right around 30 weeks pregnant and was having neck pain. They made a world of difference for me and definitely improved the quality of my life by helping me with pain management. Thankfully, I was able to continue in my job as a nurse until closer to the birth of my daughter. Now she’s 5 months old and we still love going to Integrative Physical Therapy! Having a multidisciplinary “wellness team” is key to having optimal health.... this practice is part of that team for us!

  • Claude Bennett

I went to IPT with a nagging hip/groin injury that has been bothering me for 4 years, and have done all sorts of physical therapy, stretching, yoga etc and still was not able to improve my range of motion and groin strength. I bought a package for 4 sessions of dry needling and therapy and 2 sessions in my hip and groin area feels significantly looser and stronger than it has since before my injury. The space is cozy and welcoming and I have been treated with professionalism and kindness by the staff. The prices were very reasonable as well

  • Jennie Gray

Dr. Scott Dixon is truly amazing! He has helped heal my plantar fasciitis after several months of me trying everything and feeling helpless. He is very knowledgeable about the mechanics of the body and also teaches other PT's the dry needling technique, which put me at ease knowing that he was the best! Scott is a genuine guy and great listener with a sincere desire to help everyone around him. He was always in a great mood and I always left the sessions feeling better physically and mentally. I would give him 6 stars if I could!

  • Byron Campbell

Dr. Scott Dixon is definitely the go-to person for anyone living in the Jacksonville area when it comes to professionalism, clinical expertise, and dry needling. I'd even encourage people outside the area to travel to work with him. Not only is he great at what he does, but he is a clinician that actually listens and involves his patients in the treatment plan. As one of the Physical Therapist for the Baltimore Orioles, if there was another clinician I'd send my guys to, it would definitely be to Scott without hesitation.

  • Andrew Turner

Scott is personable and has only one goal: to make your pain go away. In 3-4 visits with Scott, I had more improvement than other therapists had done in a year. You get his undivided attention with no interruptions for the whole hour which allows for your valuable time to be maximized. If you are skeptical, just schedule one visit and try him out. If it was anything like my visit, you will walk out feeling way better than going in. Scott is in the business of making pain go away and he excels in that regard.

  • K Sanchez

Scott has been awesome to say the least. My daughter who is 11 has been battling knee issues for over 8 months. We had been told by multiple Orthopedic Doctors that surgery was needed to help her but thankfully I searched out alternative treatments. He not only has made it easy for her to feel comfortable during her dry-needling sessions, he actually has her laughing and learning about what he is doing. I am confident that we do not need to have surgery and would highly recommend Scott for treatments!

  • Scott Ritzheimer

After 2 and a half years of headaches every single day, I’m now 6 weeks without a single headache! I had unsuccessfully tried chiropractic, neurology, physical therapy, massage therapy, and spine injections with no lasting relief. But after just one session with Scott I have been completely headache free. It’s amazing! I can think more clearly, focus better, sleep better and enjoy playing with my kids in a way that I haven’t been able in years! P.S. He’s also taken care of chronic plantar and ankle pain.

  • Tina Weber

I had hope for pain relief going in for dry needling, but did not expect it to work this well! Dr. Dixon explained the process and what to expect. The treatment was mostly painless, just a few of the last needles hurt where my muscles were extremely tight. I woke up 2 days later with no pain for the first time in years! I just had my second treatment and it was painless. My daily pain levels are significantly better! I have so much hope for eliminating my chronic pain as I continue treatments.

  • Mike Mayers

I had an excellent experience with Scott and was extremely satisfied with the service that he provided. From the moment I began my treatment I felt like he would get results and that is exactly what occurred In slightly over three weeks he repaired my shoulder that I could barely use to becoming fully active again through working out. His knowledge in dry needling and other techniques were truly effective. I would recommend him to anybody who wants a proper analysis and professional results.

  • Aren Montgomery

I am a survivor of a serious motor vehicle accident and have dealt with ongoing pain and doctors for a ten year period of time. This path started with life support intensive care and years of treatments. I went to Imtegrative Physical Therapy and after one treatment realized my body had experienced a miracle as my pain and movement had been dramatically improved . I have found an answer to my chronic pain and would highly recommend Integrative Physical Theraphy. Aren Montgomery Duluth Ga

  • Nithya Krishnan

Dr. Dixon is nothing short of a miracle worker. I am a physician at a busy hospital downtown and have had unremitting lower back and hip pain for more than a year. I did physical therapy, lidocaine patches, stretching, yoga, weight loss and nothing seemed to help. I read about dry needling from a physician group and found Dr. Dixon. Within 2 sessions I am moving so much better and waking up with almost no pain. I can’t remember the last time I felt this way! Nithya Krishnan, MD

  • Kyle Corrick

Integrative Physical Therapy is the go-to spot for dry needling in Jacksonville. As a healthcare provider working in professional baseball, I feel confident all my athletes will be well cared-for since Integrative PT has worked with a myriad of athletes; weekend warriors to professional athletes, Scott Dixon and his staff have worked with them all. It’s an easy choice - Integrative Physical Therapy is the best place in town for dry needling services.

  • Tonya Jones

Scott Dixon is the ONLY ONE who can relieve the sciatic pain that I occasionally get from my pelvic reconstruction and hip replacement. I have gone to several neurosurgeons and no one knows how to treat the pain that goes from my back to my hip and down my leg to my knee and ankle. But, when I get dry needling from Scott the pain goes away for at least 3-4 months at a time. I am now a regular patient and will follow him wherever he goes!

  • Matt Gard

I showed up without realizing this wasn't the "same old" PT that I had been expecting. Dr. Scott (Dixon) was very friendly and professional. He listened to my description of my problems, and quickly narrowed down the source. He gave great care, and I felt some relief even before leaving the office. I don't know that I would have sought out dry needling before this experience, but I might in the future because of it. It really did help.

  • Lyn Nguyen

I got into a car accident last year and have been getting all kinds of treatments to mitigate the pain and recover from my injuries. I was referred to Dr. Dixon who is very knowledgable in pain management and dry needling. He is very professional and he makes his patients a priority. Since coming to him for therapy, my back pain has gotten much better. Although still have a ways to go, I am confident I am on the road to recovery.

  • David Kelly

I highly recommend Integrative Physical Therapy. I have two high school cross country runners who have had runner-related injuries. In addition to treating the injuries, they were analyzed on running form - to help prevent future injuries. In both cases, incorrect form led to their injuries. Integrative Physical Therapy’s holistic approach and guidance helped get them back and understand what they needed to do to stay healthy.

  • Kristin Pettus

Scott is the best! I have a herniated disc in my L4 & L5. His dry needling and cupping methods have done wonders. I saw him consistently for about 6 weeks the end of 2016, beginning of 2017. I now just have to see him 1-2x a year if I’ve done something silly to hurt my back. My success story is I started training for a race in 2018 and completed that race while pushing my 3yo in her stroller! Woot Woot Thank you Scott :)

  • Bianca Y.

Dr. Scott was so helpful in getting me back healthy! My knee was bothering me for months after a workout incident. He was attentive and took the time to really see what the issue was. I’m not a fan of needles, but he made each dry needling session comfortable with conversation and thorough explanations of what he was doing. He’s super knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him for anyone’s physical therapy needs!

  • Katie

This has been a great experience thus far! The staff are very helpful and make you feel at ease! I went in for a foot problem and they took the extra mile to help take care of some underlying back issues as well! Environment is friendly and clean! Staff also made sure to do a follow up call to see how I was feeling, which I appreciated!! Thank you Intergrative Therapy for helping me on my road to recovery!!

  • Kevin Carnes

Since starting Crossfit about 9 months ago, I have been experiencing shoulder mobility issues, and more recently, increasing shoulder pain. It got so bad I could barely do one push up. Upon my coach's advice, I went and visited Dr. Scott. His dry needling therapy has worked wonders on my shoulders! Mobility has vastly improved, and I am back to doing push ups and other exercises I could not do before.

  • Ricardo Duprey

I started Integrative Physical Therapy Jacksonville because of a leg injury from martial arts. The staff and PT are more than great. I usually don’t like going to places because I feel everything is about money now, but they treated me like a human and explain what was going on, how to treat it and continue to change my treatment to make me feel better even faster. Definitely recommended for anyone

  • Kathy Broman

I can't recommend Dr. Scott Dixon highly enough. Although I initially sought treatment for neck pain, he has also been quite successful at treating the pain from tendonitis in my elbow, a partially frozen shoulder, and chronic severe headaches. He incorporates techniques from traditional physical therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic methods. He is truly great at caring about and for his patients

  • Beth Mote

Scott has been extremely integral in regaining full mobility post shoulder surgery. I’d highly recommend him for dry needling. I’ve been to a couple PT’s for dry needling over the years and Scott is clearly very knowledgeable. There was a stark difference in how helpful his PT sessions were compared to other PTs. I plan to keep going for basic upkeep even after my shoulder is functioning at 100%.

  • Fatima Raiyani

I was very happy with the treatment I received for my neck and shoulder. There is significant improvement in my healing. Dr. Scott Dixon is very professional, knowledgeable and skilled in the dry needling and cupping treatment. He gives 100% individual attention and is very kind, flexible and patient. I would recommend him with full confidence to my family and friends! Thank you!

  • Kim Smithfield

Dr. Scott Dixon is a master at dry needling. I went to him after dealing with neck and shoulder pain for three years. After only two sessions, my neck feels much better! The dry needling session was not painful. I'm not comfortable with needles but he listened to my concerns and made the process feel easy. I highly recommend his services. Thank you Dr. Scott Dixon!

  • Stacy King

Scott is awesome! He healed my tennis elbow after three sessions. I've been suffering with it for a year. He explained to me the difference between tendonitis and tendinosis. His treatment was much different then a typical physical therapist and that is why I was healed after only 3 treatments. I highly recommend Scott and will see him again for any PT needs !

  • Jeff Rodgers

I was a little skeptical of dry needling. Some of the claims seemed to good to be true. At the end of the first appointment I had significant and measurable increases in mobility. It was really kind of crazy. I will definitely be making this part of my regular health and wellness routine. Dr. Dixon took great care of me and is improving my quality of life.

  • Lisa Bennett

Scott is the absolute best at what he does. Today (a Saturday) he went above and beyond for me. I got injured doing the CrossFit Open. Texted him Friday night in a panic and he willingly came in on his day off to work on me. I feel so much better both physically and mentally knowing he is taking care of me. Highly recommended!

  • Ashish Kukreja

Dr Dixon has been an incredible therapist in rehabbing my injury back to function. As a health care provider myself I am so pleased to have another caring, experienced, and knowledgeable practitioner in my corner. Furthermore he does not herd his patients in and out like other PT places and just focuses on you. He is the best.

  • Josh Schaefer

Scott Dixon is a magic maker of PT. I went to three different PTs, multiple doctors, chiros and he was the only one that showed me significant pain relief in my back because of his unique and aggressive dry needling therapy techniques. I would recommend him to anyone who has tried everything and about to give up. True talent!
