Well i was heading to buy a phone off of a person who lives in Edgemont . I realized after getting to Dalhousie lrt station that my phone was almost dead and i had left my portable power bank at home. I decided there was only one solution so i headed to Indigo . I ordered a rather delicous white hot choclate . It cost a small fortune but since i was using there power to charge my phone and using their wifi i guess it made sense that it was going to cost me . The place was clean and there was very nice ambience . The girl who made my hot chocolate was polite and smiling and smoking hot . So overall it was a pretty decent experience . I couldnt afford to buy anything to snack on , the prices of their food were way to high in my opinion so i ended up eating some leftovers left by a previous customer . P.S. to tje gjrl who made my hot chocolate please get in touch with me , i would like to do a review on you .

Great Indigo Chapters location! Very spacious, relatively well organized and easy to find what you’re looking for. Probably the most extensive selection of books on offer in a brick and mortar store in Calgary. It’s got everything you’d want including stationery, journals, greeting cards, e-readers, and other home goods. My only gripe with all Chapters stores is that their manga collection gets smaller every year. This location has one of the bigger selections but is still lacking manga that isn’t currently trending. Still, a great book store and my go-to whenever I need to pick one up!

Chapters has this very inviting aura to it and that is accentuated by the helpful and friendly staff. Dalhousie was very tidy (at 5pm) and very busy for a standalone location (compared to Chinook being connected to the mall). I enjoyed my visit even though what I was looking for wasn't actually in stock an employee helped me to make an in-store order to get the 'in-store' pricing delivered to my door. Sometimes pricing 'online' is more expensive so if you order from in-store at any location, you can get the 'in-store' price to get those savings!

Friendly Customer service. Even when you call they help you. They go above and beyond to help customers. I talked to Christie on the phone. She help me find what I was looking for and put it on hold as well. This is the second time they have helped me once with books 2years before and yesterday with copper tumbler. It saves us the time of driving so long only to find the item is not in store. They first look the item for you and confirm if its available or not. Keep up the good work. Will definitely visit again.

This is a beautiful bookstore here in Calgary. It has been open for a longtime, but has been able to keep modernizing and looking its best. There is always inventory so if you are wanting to get that important book perhaps start here. The staff are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with customers. Of course there is a great Starbucks attached to this location and it is permissible to bring your coffee into the bookstore while you search for that new treasure. Oldie BUT GOODIE.

I love walking around this Indigo location every time I am on the area. It's so clean and spacious. I really. Wished that I lived closer like I use to. Employees at this location are very friendly and helpful. Their prices are fair for what they offer but their clearance area is awesome! I always browse their clearance section and find amazing priced goods. As well, their book variety is great and you can find some sale gems for kid books! Definitely give this place a chance if you are in the area!

Went in with GF to buy her a project management book. Couldn't find anyone to help us. You'd think such a wealthy company could afford to pay a couple of extra teenagers on the weekend. And the lack of staff has to be harder on the few people working there. Found a working catalogue computer, and determined they didn't actually have any project management books in stock. No service? No selection? I really see not reason not to just buy from Amazon.

I simply love to explore and buy books and accessories from here. Yup even after owning a Kobo and a Kindle I still enjoy the smell of new books....ummmm!!!! This place is awesome and often they come up with amazing deals for customers. Sometimes with the Starbucks attached to them make the particular locations more appealing and the customer service is always impeccable. Best regards and keep up the good work!!!!

Wonderful experience with fond memories of the location and its staff. In a world of complete fubar, we should all be so grateful for the good stuff! This photo attached, has a custom piece of art consigned by me way way back. Kelly Terpstra created a custom "Nightmare" piece for me, and brings me joy each Halloween. Happy Halloween to Kelly and all the Indigo Dalhousie goblins!

Nice little bookstore but, as a sign of the times, half their floor space is now home decor, gifts, and toys. They have online ordering as well but if you're inclined to visit in person there is a Starbucks onsite (currently, with the ongoing COVID outbreak you are not allow to consume beverages or food within the store). This store still has a decent magazine section which is nice to see.

  • Steele Duncan

Pretty dang big, lots of books and lots of things that are not books. They got yoga blocks, face massagers and Roblox action figures. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful, cheery, and polite. But they don’t have a self serve search terminal anymore, just a station telling you to download their app. Boo. My phone is old as beans and the storage is full of podcasts about managing anxiety!

Over the years this store has been a very nice place to come and browse through their very eclectic selection of books, and other merchandise. There is also a fairly sizable Starbucks coffee shop on site where you can relax at a table while reading a magazine or paperback. Close by there is also many restaurants for a bite to eat and a large Safeway across the parking lot.

This is a great location, not too busy and the staff are very helpful- especially when it comes to book suggestions. Most books that are hard to find at other stores are usually available at this location as well and are often easy to find with the way it's organized. I find that even if you are having trouble finding something, there is always someone around to assist!

  • Jessica Fraser

This is bit of a unique review since I was a visiting author at this location. The first thing that got me was the happiness of the staff. Darlamae was such a beautiful soul to work with that day. The store was tidy and everyone was busy helping customers, sharing in laughs and recommendations. This is a happy place for people to visit and the staff make it that way.

I've been looking for a place where i can buy a set of HP book for a gift and glad to see that indigo has almost everything. The book that they were selling was $110 and when we checked online, the price has a discount and goes down to $70. We asked the employee if the discount will also apply if we buy the book there and was happy that she adjusted the price.

  • Ashraf Elhassan

This is really where combined good service and quality. Staff was very friendly ,helpful and extremely patient. Joshua spent more than an hour actively and efficiently solving my problem Thanks for the gift card, but in fact you the the one deserves gift card and appreciation for your professional way to deal with it Thanks again for your wonderful service...

My all time favourite place to go and browse! Everything is easy to find and there are lots of staff there to help you. Also there is Starbucks right next door so you can get a coffee before buying books, stationary and home supplys. There is also an entire section for children and babies. You can find kitchen tools, cook books and dietary information here.

  • My B

My Go-to store for anything book related. I also enjoy their OUI homeware items. Staff here are nice and super helpful as well. Knocked off 1 star because their CC machines were not working during the holiday rush. The lines ended up quite long. I tried using 2 CC from different banks. No luck. I ended up using cash instead which is NBD but time wasted.

I've been going here ever since I was young and I have to say its a great place! The store is big, but well organized so you can find anything you're looking for. The staff are always so helpful and patient when you're searching for things. Online pickup during Covid-19 has been excellent too, things are available quickly and it's an easy process!

  • Carina Kwok

Friendly and helpful staff. Great book selection. I love the stationary section which contains beautiful cards and journals, quirky accessories like pig-shaped paper clips or ramen sticky notes. Unfortunately, they don't do store-to-store transfers; the cook book I wanted was not available at this location so I had to drive to Sunridge to get it.

  • Ryan Corbett

Charged me $70 for a book for in store pickup, received an email later that day saying that they didn’t have it. Why was I charged for an item they did not have in stock? Now I’m out $70 for a week and the employee said “there’s nothing I can do about it”. Trash customer service and borderline scam artists. Will never return to this store.

  • Saania Zehra Jamal

My favorite place to be in the neighbourhood! People working here are very friendly and helpful and they have a great selection of books to choose from. There’s also a Starbucks located inside that’s always great to sit and read at. Bookstore itself is huuuge and often has a bunch of discounts going on for many things, including books.

  • Richie Goldsworthy

I like this store. I'm not a bookworm, but I do like finding interesting titles that might draw me in. I also like that they're a good place to shop for gifts, as they carry a lot of gift-worthy items. This store is kept tidy and staff performance is good. They're expensive though, even for what I feel the products are actually worth.

  • Jason Brown

Nice store but be careful if you need to go to the bathroom. The bathroom needs a door code which you can get from the front checkout, inside the bathroom there is a yellow sharps container on the wall by the sink im assuming for the people who want to go in there and shoot up, there is no other reason for that to be there.

  • Scott Adams

I'm sure they're slowly reducing the shelf space dedicated to books and adding more pastiche and housewares. A good place to find something to buy as a gift for that hard to shop for person in your life. Where else can you find such an assortment of reading material next to boardgames, air fryers, blankets and toys?

  • My Lord

I love going here, it's always clean and tranquil. The staff is constantly knowledgeable, helpful and respectful. 0lus the range of products they carry means I virtually never leave there empty handed. Plus it's always a bonus having coffee right next door, a new book and a cup of coffee always brightens my day.

  • Caitlyn Ungrin

I've been going here for years. Staff are always super helpful, it's well organised, and they have a starbucks on site next to their magasines, so I've seen a few people reading books or magasines borrowed while they have coffee. The starbucks doesn't tend to add much to noise, so it's a nice place.

  • David Chad

Nice sized store, generally a good selection of books. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Much of the shopping are has been converted to home lifestyle products, but the book selection remains good. I prefer this location over the crowfoot one because it’s a good balance of size and busyness.

  • R P

The staff at this location are always very helpful. We love the kids section for birthday gifts. There is always such a great selection of STEM toys and all the new latest craze toys too! You can almost always find any book you are looking for her, especially kids books. We love this location.

  • Veronica Viglione

Its in a great location and I like the open layout, it does not feel so narrow or cramped like some of their other locations. Plus I find this place to be relatively quiet customer wise. And even if busy they always have enough tills open with friendly smiling associates to assist.

  • Elise Wrubleski

The people there are always so pleasant. I've been coming to this location for quite a long time and it's fantastic. The organization is easy enough to understand, they have a wide variety of books, their staff are very nice, and in general it has been fantastic over the years.

  • William

A great book store, unfortunately the selection is quite limited compared to the one in crowfoot. Unless you are looking for super mainstream and trendy books, go online or to crowfoot to find your book. It is a nice place to sit and read though and the staff are very kind.

  • Abdullah Khan

There was a worker there that assisted me. She was a little child and was very kind. She used a stool to reach the books at the top shelf and found me the Guinness world of record book I’ve been searching long and hard for. Thank you indigo and special thank you to yasmeen.

  • H.L Hwang

The bookstore is much bigger than it looks. Parking is convenient. However, you can't search for the book you want on your own. There is a machine as a model. It doesn't work. There was a coffee shop next door, so I had time to sit down and read after purchasing the book.

  • Taylor Gregory

I was in line with my purchases when an associate came up to me and said it was too late to make my purchase and asked me to leave the store. It was 6:55pm and closing was at 7pm. It was clear this associate had different priorities than customer service.

  • L Top

Always liked this store. Sad to say there are fewer books and more gift items. But they have a great selection of unique greeting cards. My go to place for the perfect card. I did manage to find the book I was looking for. Staff friendly and helpful.

  • Jen fer

Staff can be hard to find but the store is well kept with a lot of selection. Lots of impulse-buy-worthy gimmicks near the cashier when you're ready to pay. It's a great bookstore and this location tends to have books that others have run out of!

  • Beth Wightman

Loved it! From the selections to the way everything merchandised. Walking in the door and being greeted with the wonderful aromas of coffee to being greeted with books, textiles and an assortment of luxurious offerings for the home and comfort.

  • Alastair A

The staff are always doing their best to help customers, whether it's finding a book you can't find or hopping on the register to manage a busy line. Aside from that... They got a lot of books. They got a Starbucks inside too. Would recommend.

  • amy wang

lots of manga, which i appreciate. the sections are well divided. i wish they had some seating throughout the bookstore though, but maybe its a covid thing. anyways its still a great place because of the large space and clean products :)

  • Carolyn Belcastro

I have had a few interactions at this store and I have found Management to be so helpful and considerate. Today Sharon went out of her way to be very accommodating which made my 7 year old very happy. Thank you so much Sharon!

  • Aaron de Castro

Indigo is good always a big selection and alot of staff to help. This location is no different. 4 stars though as I much preferred the aesthetic of Chapters the white walls and shorter shelves of indigo can be a little bland

  • Leeky Sweek

A nice place to visit. Have a terrific selection of bargain books. Their Boxing Day sale of 30% off of regular-priced stock was a nice surprise. A special shout out to their customer service staff who were of immense help.

  • T Win

I find this location to be one of the more cozy/spacious ones, including their aisles of books. Great selection of kitchen/household/decor/miscellaneous items! Glad they brought back some seats so people can at least sit.

  • Jo-Anne E.

Very friendly staff, always someone to help. Store is neat and clean. Will allow kids to use bathroom as needed, unlike the crowfoot location. Needs a clearer signage of where to pick up online orders, but not a big deal.

  • Riverdog

It's a Chapters with Starbucks. What else do you need to know? Much like any other. Predictable experience. However less and less a bookstore and more like homey store. Not as good for books as it used to be.

  • Jayden Porteous

I really like this location. It is a huge store and they have a very good selection, not just of books, but also toys, games and other items such as candles and journals. The staff here are also very helpful.

  • Ad a

I get all of my books from here but sometimes overpriced! The service is good as the store does not have a lot of traffic but sometimes I find books cheaper on Amazon. They also have toys for kids.

  • Andrea Wilson

Great book store with large option, this is my first time in here looking for the new fictional book and spend almost an hour looking around. Really clean and well organized store. Good Indigo!

  • Jonathan Kehler

The staff here were extremely kind, helpful, and engaged. They helped me stretch a few gift cards further with bargain books, and were quite knowledgable about whatever book or author came up.

  • Mauricio Rodriguez

Nice bookstore, pets friendly and with one of few real (not licensed) Starbucks left at the indigo stores. It's a great place to enjoy a wide selection of books and other home items

  • Stephanie “Stevie” Bierkos

Clean, organized and not too busy for a Sunday browse. Also noticed a sign on the door stating they're dog friendly! Will be back (with my pup) again soon.

  • Monique Besier

I haven't been to this store in a long time. Got totally caught up in all the amazing stuff in the store. Went in for one thing and spent two hours there.

  • Donall Williams

Nice store w a Starbucks location inside. Its located right by the light rail and Calgary transit bus station w food nearby. ***** RECOMMENDED *****

  • MARDELLE MORRIS

I took in an Amazon return and was shocked at how smoothly and quickly the transaction was done. All staff members were pleasant and helpful.

  • Vikki Perkins

Decent size bookstore, but lots of non book items. Small magazine section. Bargain book section is also getting smaller every year.

  • Jaclyn Gowie

Great location and layout. Wide variety of books, gifts and lots of other goodies. Plus the Starbucks is a great addition.

  • Skylee

Nice. Large. And clean. Lots of cool new things. And close to many other stores. Best part. It connected to a starbucks

  • Thelovely Redbones

Love coming here. Lots of books and other cool stuff to get. Staff are always ready and willing to help too!

  • Opto Phobe

  • Barton Hazzard

Easy to find merchandise. With always friendly staff, willing to help you out with anything that you need.

  • Alex Penner

5 stars but I think the first "i" is upside-down on your sign. Might want to get that checked out. …

Beautiful space with adjoining Starbucks full of great books and gifts! Nice displays well organized.

  • Andree Garant

  • Bill Weisgarber

I like shopping here. More than just a book store. More & more household goods... Less books …

  • Dylan Kisilowski

They stayed open an extra 5 minutes so I could pick up my book. Great people and great selection!!

  • Chuck Horne

Bookshelves are half empty and over half the store is home decor. There's better spots for both.

  • Adriana Goldsworthy

They had no books on the fibre arts. None. Not for crochet, knitting, or cross stitching.

  • Nate

Fun place to go...seems they have less books and more other stuff all the time though.

  • Sarah

Not as many chairs to sit and look at books. Good selection
