Flank Steak, Wagyu

Love the wagyu ribeye. I’ve tried the strip-loin but the wagyu is next level. I’ve been there 4 times and it’s my go to. I haven’t tried the sauces because the marinade they use is fantastic. For sides, their pumpkin and cauliflower croquettes (V) is amazing. I’d be happy just getting that. The coal roasted cauliflower and pumpkin (yes, it’s a different dish) is another choice you won’t regret. Drinks: I was happily surprised to hear H&B was having happy hour every day, all day (you heard right). La Vida Loca was a nice easy cocktail with some spice garnish on the rim if you want to have a little kick. Also tried the American Rifles whisky flight. First time trying Woodfords reserve and was the best of the bunch. Very nicely “plated” with beautiful whisky glasses and rocks on the side if you wish to add. Latently we had a Cab-Sauv. Normally I don’t prefer Cab-Sauv but the Anakena Birdman was very well balanced and I very much enjoyed it. They also gave my wife a happy birthday choc walnut brownie (with a scoop of vanilla ice cream). It was tasty, but prefer the molten lava cake with its warm gooey chocolate. Their online booking website was very intuitive and quick to use. Sorry there are no pictures of the food. I skipped breakfast and ate before thinking.

I always have an absolutely incredible time here. My husband comes here fairly often for work socials, but it's also our top pick for a nice family dinner outing. The owner is wonderful, always making rounds to check on patrons. The managers and all the waitstaff are absolutely exceptional. I've dined in many countries and countless lovely restaurants but this is consistently the most professional, with the kindest, most personable staff I have ever had. I mean it. Time and time again, I am 1000% happy and satisfied with their hospitality and delicious menu. The steaks are to die for; best I've ever had. All the dishes and accessory flavours are AMAZING. I cannot say enough good things. The ambiance is classy yet also so comfortable, and the service is nothing but pure class. I wholeheartedly recommend and will continue to enjoy memorable evenings here with my family. Thank you for always being so wonderful to us.

The food is an absolute delight. Everything we tried was 5/5 the best of flavors and quality. Starting from the complementary freshly baked breadsticks to an amazingly delicious appetizer platters that excellent for sharing. For the mains we go a steak which was so moist and tender and juicy with a lot flavor. And for the fish it was so fresh and not dry at all. And for the chicken we got the skewers which was absolutely perfect. Everything about the food from the dips to the side dishes to the aroma.. everything was perfect !! Ughh lastly the dessert which was to die for !! We got 3 dishes and we shared them. I can’t remember what we got but everything we had was brilliant. The restaurant is spacious and has a private room which can be booked for birthdays or even work dinners.

The atmosphere was very nice, a bit tricky to find at first but that’s fine. You got complementary bread, which was a plus. The prices are justified for the type and quality of food you get. We had the lobster linguine, the creamed chicken and a burger. The portion sizes are on the bigger side but manageable if you don’t order starters. All in all, I’d recommend it if you are in the area and looking for some “American” food.

There was a ramp instead of stairs to reach the restaurant. The waterfront itself can also be reached with a lift.

We were thrilled by the service and the food. Everything we tried was just perfect. The offer a very crispy freshly baked breadsticks with mozzarella and garlic complimentary. We asked the waitress and she recommended the Tomahawk (1.3Kg) we were in total shock as we were only 2 but the steak was literally for like 4 we decided to go for a medium well and believe me it was mouthwatering very moist and tender, the sides and sauces were really really flavorful … Unfortunately we didn’t have a room for desert but we will definitely come back The restaurant is very spacious, has smoking and non as well as a private room that you can book for your gatherings ♥️♥️ Thanks to the whole team with no exception @hunter&Barrel

If you're looking for a restaurant that has exceptional food, this is the place to go! I would like to express my disappointment about spending a New Year’s Eve at the restaurant. The food was great thank God but the atmosphere was horrible. The only restaurant in the area who had absolutely zero decoration and atmosphere. You would think it is just another day. This is definitely the manager’s fault but maybe it is his first job as a restaurant manager who knows. The girl who served us was very nice but definitely it was not a fine dining experience and again this is not her fault. As I said at least the food was good and I would like to compliment the Chef however I would never go there again. I’d rather go to another steak house where I would receive more adequate service for the price I would pay.

A 5 - is definitely not enough for this epic restaurant. I was baffled by the high level food quality. Everything tasted extraordinary good. But there is one thing that stood out by far: SA grain fed fillet steak!!! Without a doubt, that was the best steak in my entire life! Thank you so much for preparing this masterpiece of a steak. Everything was perfect: the looks, the smell, the cooking point... you name it. The taste and texture even exceeded perfection. They were mind-blowing! 12/10 - I can definitely recommend it!

We enjoy our stay in Hunter and Barrel. The Staff are all welcoming as we headed to have a seat on our reserved table. Jenny has given us a lot of information and recommendations about the food while admirie made sure that everything is well prepared and that we are taken care off. The food was serve in a timely manner.Overall experience is 5 star! We definitely coming back to bring our family there to Dine. Keep up the good work!

The steaks just went thru the roof when Hunter & Barrel opened their very first location in Abu Dhabi at Yas Bay An amazing restaurant in a setting that seems to be made for each other. Amazing vibe, superb food, awesome drinks with service to match. We were over recently for a Chef's Table featuring chocolate fed Waguy Tomahawk steak and it was absolutely amazing, the best steak we ever had. Not just the steaks, everything was amazing from the Tuna to the ribs, a must try experience.

We came here to celebrate a birthday party and loved the sliders, and main courses. The desserts were also nice with a wide selection available. The location is nice and the waiters were attentive and always available. The only reason for 4 stars is because the menu is quite pricy and I don't feel that it is justified. Overall a nice experience.

Absolutely amazing. 5 star service, 5 star food and 5 star location and 5 star ambience.. This was our first time to dine here and we will definitely be back. We ordered 2 of the 1.3Kg Tomahawks and all I can say is that the food was absolutely amazing. The meat was cooked perfectly and the taste was just everything. My children were left eating off the bone at the end because that's how tasty the Tomahawks were. Each Tomahawks came with an option of 2 sides, and we opted for the house salad and coal roasted cauliflower & pumpkin. Highly recommend to visit Hunter & Barrel. Big shout out to Loyd who served us and was 10/10.

Excellent steak and top notch service. I am a big steak lover and this is the best I've had in Abu Dhabi. Food is delivered quickly even when fully booked. Wait staff is attentive and will do simple things like bringing an extra spoon without me asking, so I can nip some sorbet (thanks Mercy). BTW that strawberry sorbet was heavenly. If you are from the south definitely try their Mac and cheese. The bar staff is willing to make you a cocktail that is not on their already wide drinks menu. Check them out then let me know what you think.

Nice & elegant steak house. They have good variety of steaks and other dishes as well as starters and side dishes. Dessert is good but should have all items available, cheese cake is nice but should be served colder. Wished that crème Brûlée is among the available dessert. Thank you Tony for the warm hospitality. Fantastic experience! Best wagyu beef I've had in my life! Weather is perfect and staff are quite sweet, Especially Mary. Very knowledgeable staff, knew everything on the menu and when we asked for suggestions, they were spot on. Food came quite fast, and the entire style was quite nice. Will definitely come back!

Extremely tasty steak I got the Angus ribeye medium. It was delicious! Perfectly cooked and well glazed. My wife got the coal fired chicken and also found this very tasty. Starters were very nice also, king Prawns and cheese dip Service was very good! Was a great please to watch the fireworks and eat. Will definitely return

Food was really average and nothing too special. The creamy chicken tasted awfully bitter. The tomato cream sauce in the lobster pasta did not feel homogeneous, as the cream was separating from the tomato sauce. The place is way overpriced for what it’s worth. Went to great lengths to prepare food for my keto/diabetic wife. Mentioned it was her birthday and the staff surprised her with a little cake with a candle, and all sang happy birthday. Totally spontaneous and wonderful. And the food was marvellous. Thanks everyone.

One of my favorite places for lunch. Really enjoy the business lunch. Normally get the calamari, steak sandwich, and a brownie. Tender flavorful meat. Beef stroganoff is also good. Great views of the water. I recommend.

Very pleasant dinner on the Yas Bay. The Tomahawk steak was the highlight. Decent winelist and really good cocktails too. Service was very friendly and attentive.
