My wife and I accessed the River Walk via the Hugo Dock Water Taxi Stop. It was our second walk on the river, ever! I have a chronic illness and mobility and balance can be a challenge. When we accessed the River Walk at the Leg, there were a few icy spots. I walk wuth a cane with an uce pick setting during the winter months. While we thoroughly enjoyed our walk east towards the Mid Town Bridge from the Leg, our second walk was wven more beautiful. Walking nirth and east from the Hugo dock, we marvelled at the high rises of Wellinhton Crescent on one side and the stately homes of East Gate to Balmoral Hall on the other. It was a very positive experience.

My rating is mostly for winter. I love coming here for the skate trail. Starting from here you can get almost 10 kms in skating all the way to Churchill drive in the Red. Great exercise and fun

Well maintained and a great starting point for skiing and skating. Takes you all the way to the forks so you can avoid the crowds. Warm up hut on the river (but is closed due to covid)

Intrigued by the warming huts that had no warmth. Still interesting to look at, even climbed the ones that had “closed” signs on them.

Great to go on a nice date! very friendly staff love to do it again and highly recommend it.

Best way to get from and to the exchange district or the forks during the summer!
