"Really disappointed in what it took to get in"
"I had an absolute blast during my recent visit to Howl at the Moon in Indianapolis"
"Place was pretty awesome very loud very crowded but the security team was on top of it them guys run that place like a well-oiled machine only bad part about the whole night was the person playing the piano never played any of the songs we requested even with cash tips also we was there for a bachelor party and the person with the microphone told the bachelor happy birthday when they called him up on stage for some reason luckily we was all drunk enough not to care LOL had a great time definitely recommend coming here and I'm positive we had the absolute BEST WAITRESS in the whole place I'm pretty sure her name was Kay

"GREAT ATMOSPHERE, LOTS OF ENERGY"
"This was THE BEST possible place we could have gone for a bachelorette party! It felt like the entire place was a private party just for us because the musicians, bartenders, servers, and other guests were all joining in on the celebrations and making our night special"
Really disappointed in what it took to get in. Myself and 3 girlfriends took an uber here to meet a friend who was already inside. There was no line to get in, with 2 bouncer’s out front. They checked all our ID’s (we are all over 30) and then they randomly said they also wanted a second form of ID from all of us. One of our girls only brought cash and her ID, so they said they wouldn’t let us in. She said she had her debit on her mobile and they said they would only accept a physical form. Really gave us a hard time, and it’s crazy because I was just here a few weeks prior and they didn’t ask for a second form then. Well anyway then my friend asks how can we get inside, and they said if we gave them a good tip. She handed him $20 and he let us go in. Then when we got in, it was a $10 cover charge per person. Overall it felt really offensive and I couldn’t believe it took all of that just to get in. So be prepared when going here to bring 2 forms of ID depending on how the bouncers are feeling or extra cash to pay the bouncer’s and the cover.

I had an absolute blast during my recent visit to Howl at the Moon in Indianapolis. As someone in town for a conference, this bar turned out to be the perfect Friday night destination. The live band taking requests was a highlight of the evening. Their ability to play a wide range of great music all night and interact with the crowd made for an incredibly fun and dynamic atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you can let loose and sing along to your favorite tunes. The drink prices were reasonable, which is always a plus, especially for those attending a conference or just looking for a good time without breaking the bank. The bartenders were skilled and quick, ensuring that the libations were flowing smoothly. I would wholeheartedly recommend Howl at the Moon to anyone looking for a lively and entertaining night out in Indianapolis. It's a fantastic choice for those who appreciate live music, affordable drinks, and a memorable night on the town.

GREAT ATMOSPHERE, LOTS OF ENERGY. THE PERFORMERS ARE TOP NOTCH. DESPERATELY NEEDED MORE WAIT STAFF. MY BIG ISSUE IS THAT I RESERVED A TABLE FOR A BIRTHDAY PARTY. THE TABLE WAS RIGHT UP AGAINST THE DANCE FLOOR. ONCE THE PLACE FILLED UP WE HAD DRUNK DANCERS BUMPING INTO THE TABLE AND US AS WELL AS PUTTING THEIR EMPTY CANS/BOTTLES ON OUR TABLE. WE ENDED UP JUST LEAVING BECAUSE IT WAS SUPER ANNOYING. I WOULD THINK FOR THE AMOUNT YOU PAY TO RESERVE A TABLE THERE SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF BUFFER BETWEEN THE TABLE AND THE DANCE FLOOR.

This was THE BEST possible place we could have gone for a bachelorette party! It felt like the entire place was a private party just for us because the musicians, bartenders, servers, and other guests were all joining in on the celebrations and making our night special. Our server even had a little bachelorette party card game she let us borrow. Our group got called on stage multiple times and truly felt like this was the best night ever. We are so grateful for the entire staff for making this such a memorable night. AND the musicians are SO talented!
High energy, interactive piano bar with a wide range of music being played. From 80s rock to current pop and so much in between. $10 cover on a Saturday night. There is plenty of room to dance with a seating area to watch the crowd below. There is also an outdoor patio area if you want to take in some fresh air or get away from the loud music. Large drink menu priced decently for being in the heart of downtown Indianapolis.

This is a great venue to get a drink at. Celebrating a 21st birthday in a way that only this place can manage. While the chairs through most of the venu are taller variety than some handicapable might be able to manage, their are options available to them nonetheless. Drinks are where this establishment shines. I had the Kentucky peach which was delicious and very smooth. I would certainly recommend this place if they are looking for a venue with plenty of crowd interaction.
Idk. It was fun there for a minute, but it's just low skill people playing the billboard top 20 from the last 4 decades. Just the same ol' garbage, and they'll deny any "unique" request. Or anything post 2015 for that matter. Idk. They killed my mood when they were just tossing requests away. The drinks were fine priced ig, but it just wasn't it.

We were expecting more of a dueling piano atmosphere. They do have 2 pianos set up, but it is less dueling piano and more of a full music experience. It was amazing that the 5 to 6 musicians jumped from piano to guitar to drums! The drinks are on the weak side. The overall atmosphere was good. Don't know if they were just short staffed the night we visited, but it took a while to get drinks. Overall, we would go back.
No food here, just good drinks and good fun. Decent group of performers but have seen better at other Howl locations. 2 standouts were an Asian girl and a younger guy... their performances were more on point, and the crowd gave more love when they performed... but all around good talent by all. Overall cool place, great people hanging out, great drinks. Check them out!!

My first time in Indianapolis and on a Saturday night I strolled around the whole downtown area just evaluating The nightlife and where I might have my final cocktail. How at the moon was the only place that was crazy popular and it full tilt. Live music and energy drive this popular bar. Service is good drinks are good I would recommend this place if you are looking for energy and people in Indianapolis.
Fun times, good drinks, and someone waking around in their underwear selling shots. If that's not the American way, I really don't know what is. I mean really, that's super American. Pianos and booze and shots from the underwear lady. Also, I saw drunk chicks singing Cotton Eye Joe, quite a sight.

What a great time with friends and amazing music from truely talented musicians. This bar offers a large open space and patio. The lower floor near the stage is a great place for a group of friends to get up close to the action and participate. The upper level offers plenty of bar seating and gathering places to rest your feet from hours of dancing. Had a blast!
Great service, drinks amazing and the live band always great. It’s been a few years since I’ve been here and I must say it’s still as great as it was then. We were able to get a nice table for our party of 6 but It gets packed easily and they really need more tables.

The drinks were a bit water down, and the performers were more worried about money and tips than putting on a good show. Which was the complete difference, then the one in San Antonio. If you play good ppl, you will tip more worry about performing them tips and please give good drinks, not watered down alcohol.

4/5 ONLY because drinks were a bit expensive. They were however, DELICIOUS!!!! We had Jell-O shots, mixed drinks, shots, spritzers. SUCH A FUN experience, we really enjoyed our night. Entertainment was TOP NOTCH. Security made their presence known which made me feel safe, nothing got rowdy.
The musicians are very good and play a good variety of music. The drinks are expensive. The speciality shots are just little mixed drinks for the price of a full size drink. They cost $9-11 each. The white claws are $8.

Howl at the Moon in Indianapolis offers a fun and lively atmosphere that's perfect for a night out with friends. The vibe is energetic and enjoyable, making it a great spot for a good time. The drinks are reasonably priced, which is a plus, and we had a blast throughout the evening. More
Howl at the Moon was amazing! I had won their Happy Hour party. They had included some great deals and provided an amazing space. I had about 30 people in my party. Mario was THE BEST!!! He made sure my entire party was taken care of and continually checked in on me.Thank you!!!
Every Howl at the Moon experience has been a good one! This trip and state was no exception. Musical talent was funny and personable and waitstaff were attentive and friendly. Always remember to pay for your comments to go on the boards, and don't shy away from a bucket.
I had a blast here, the band was super energetic and fun and the drinks all tasted wonderful. I'd go back anytime.

I left my first review 3 years ago, just went to the St Patrick's day party in 2023 and had a blast! Allyson is a great server and we loved the Blarney Bomb!! The crowd is always fun and we usually make a few new friends!! Great music, great food, great employees!!
My first time at Howl at the Moon and I had a great time. Great atmosphere and the entertainment was exceptional. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. You can bring food into the bar from other places because they don't serve food. Cannot wait to go back.
Had a wonderful time listening to excellent live music. Amazing musicians playing all the favorites. A very busy place, get there early for a good seat. They do offer table service which is a bonus so you don't have to make your way to the crowded bar.
They made me feel like a celebrity on my birthday! The band is just downright amazing! The staff couldn't get any better. Fun playful but very helpful! Best experience! I love love love this place!

This place is amazing. We went with a crowd of 7 during FDIC and had an absolute blast. Great prices, excellent service, ice cold drinks. Live band was great and kept the party going all night. This will be a must do everytime we are in town.
this bar might be the absolute worst of indy! save yourself and do not go to this terrible establishment!! tin roof or the wild beaver saloon are way more fun and have much better music!

Reasonably priced drinks and fast service. We got here before the crowds and enjoyed a quiet drink before a concert. On the way back later that evening there was a line out of the door. It definitely looked like the happening place!
Live music and strong drinks...my favorite!! Outside seating is perfect for people watching too!! The live band did a wonderful job engaging the crowd. I see why all the bachelorette parties are here
Went for a Halloween Bar Crawl. It had a great start, but kinda of unorganized Again, this was Halloween, so definitely more hectic than normal.

We have a very good night here, the musicians are really good and the atmosphere is great. I start coming here every time that I visit Indianapolis bringing new friend and always is a good choose.
I come here once a year and it's always great. The staff, the prices and the food. The entertainment is typical of a piano bar, and the talent never gives up trying to get the crowd partying.
Fun place to go and listen to live music, but beware after 9 it gets packed and seats are hard to come by

They had a great rotation of musicians and the cover was super reasonable. Had a great time singing along. I even had an issue with my drink and the waitress promptly fixed it. So much fun!
The floors in the whole bar are sticky and the staff was very disrespectful to not only me but to everyone I was with. The live music was honestly awful.

Decent atmosphere but not "dueling pianos", essentially a band that takes requests with 2 pianos. Basically a dance club. More
