We were told it was all day parking for $10 by the man at the entrance. We paid him and he opened the gate for us. When we were leaving (Sun, 10/8/23 @ 6.29pm), I stopped at the attendant booth to show my ticket and gave the lady a very friendly "hello". To my shock that old hag just looked at me like I was ruining her day. She ignored my kindness and gave a look of annoyance because apparently I was supposed to enter the ticket in the card reader, which she proceeded to do. Why is she even there if it's do-it-yourself? She then says, "You need to enter your card", as the ticket was showing I owed $10. I told her we paid when we entered and she asked in an aggressive tone, if we had our receipt. We showed it to her and she just gave it back without saying one word and opened the gate. Wow. Her attitude was just uncalled for, especially since the "assistance" she gave required so little of her. I mean, she was seated, grabbed a ticket, entered it and swiped to override the charge. Not exactly rocket science. Also, I am miffed the ticket didn't show we paid already. If we accidentally tossed the receipt, I'm sure we'd have to pay again and no doubt receive more wonderful service from this hag when we disputed the charge.

I've enjoyed the parking experiences I've had here. I have stayed at the Home 2 Suites across the street and a valet member told us parking here was also an option if we didn't want to valet so we gave it a go! There are 9 levels to this garage so there's plenty of parking. However I don't know what was going on my latest time to park here but I had to park on the roof when I first arrived because every level was full! I'd never seen it this way. But, what I did was park up top, went to eat lunch and walk around and came back around 3 and parked on the 9th floor . I am leerie of parking my vehicles in garages usually but I always have felt that my vehicle was relatively safe when parked here. However once a day during my stays I would travel to my vehicle to check on it. Parking is straight forward. You go to the entrance retain a ticket stub then pay for your parking upon departure at the machine located outside of the elevators on the first level. Then, put your ticket in the machine on your way out! Arm goes up and you go home. This is a great place to park and saved me a lot of money. Instead of $20 a day for valet I paid $18 for 2 1/2 days of parking.

Love this garage. I use it often when I go downtown San Antonio usually to watch a show at the Majestic Theater, have dinner at Bohanan's, or just to have a walk around in that area. Pretty tight driving around in there and can cause vertigo, always almost full ( I usually get a space on the 6th or higher level), elevator queue usually takes forever, worse when everone is leaving at the same time after a show. This last time not really a problem for me because I use the stairs, up and down, and (gasp!) I'm usually the only one in the stairwell. The best reason is the price. I'm not going to mention it because there's already too many people using this garage, so there!

First thing to know about the Houston Street Garage is that it is not on Houston Street. Not the entrance anyway. Enter on College Street corner with Navarro. Second thing to know is that at nights and on the weekends depending on downtown events there is a $10 flat fee. Also good to know is that it is a city parking lot and thus free on Downtown Tuesdays (after 6pm until 2am). However when there is an event at Majestic Theater it is not free. Thirdly, this garage is pretty close to everything, Riverwalk, Alamo, etc. Even when it is not free it is reasonable. Nine levels of parking so it doesn't often get full.

The garage is 10$ you get your ticket, then pay when u leave you can leave you car overnight & it is right next to Home2Suite by Hilton so it was right for us.. The only problem we had was when we first was going into the garage there was a old Spanish man rushing people & being very aggressive telling people to hurry up get your ticket & move. He gave me wrong information as will told me to pay in the lobby of the by elevator after I parked will that was wrong because we were staying overnight I wasn't supposed to pay until I left so they got me..lol

DO NOT PAY until you arrive back at the garage. Even though it's a flat rate $10 garage and there's a sign encouraging you to pay at the elevators, they will charge you again if 30 minutes passes since you pay. I had to hold up traffic because I refused to pay twice. The attendant was nice enough and let me go after a strong refusal to pay twice, but this is a bit of a trap and they know it. Also - because of all the roped off and reserved spots, expect a long ride to the roof on for a parking spot on the weekend. Location is good though.

Don't pay at the kiosk located at the ground level elevators. You put your ticket in to pay and it keeps your ticket. You are issued a receipt which is needed at the gate. When you present the receipt the kind ladies ask for the ticket because the receipt shows,a credit card number. Only problem is the kiosk does not take credit cards. Then you have to pay $18 for a lost ticket fee to get out. HOLD ONTO YOUR TICKET AND PAY AT THE GATE. This is where you get the reasonable price. Otherwise you get scammed.

Good location and good price. However, very bad reliability of the pay kiosks when you're getting ready to leave. Only one of two kiosks were working when I was getting ready to leave but the working one also crashed during my check-out process, eating my ticket in the process. I had to take both a picture of the crashed kiosk and a screenshot of my credit card app to show that I had already been charged $9, I suppose I would have been charged another $18 upon exit because of a lost ticket.

Our first time visiting San Antonio and we were surprised how expensive parking can be in the downtown area. We accidentally stumbled upon this parking and we loved the rates. Flat rate fee is $10. If you come on certain days before 5pm, you only pay $3. They have up to about 9 floors. The parking spaces are just a little too tight, but price makes up for it. It’s so close to just about anything especially Majestic Theater. Highly recommend. Elevators are there for convenience.

Wish I could give less than one star. Great night out followed by one of your attendants telling me I couldn't leave with out proof I paid to park... one way in? One way out??? Said I had to pay 18 dollars to leave, after I paid 10 to park... Will be reporting this to the BBC... total scam... luckily I found my receipt or you'd be replacing a wooden gate.. possibly a gate guard... I smell scam... Don't go here, park somewhere else....

We attended an event at the Majestic Theater and parked here. We had to go up to the 9th floor to find a spot. It took us 1 1/2 hours to exit the ramp. There was a long line to wait for the elevator, and very slow going once we got to the car. When we finally got to street level, it was clear the traffic on the exit street was a big part of the slowdown. At a minimum, the garage / police should direct traffic for big events.

  • Apex Ventures

Parked my car here for 2 overnights and saved a lot of money versus paying for valet at hotel. Only paid $18 total. The garage seems safe. When at the pay machine before exiting, if you've parked over the max hourly rate/tier the only pay option you will get is "lost ticket". Just pay that although you may have your ticket since that's the max amount anyway. It took me a few minutes (embarrassingly) to figure that out lol.

This garage needs to get the elevators fixed ASAP! They have been broken for days and they don't even have up to date inspections posted in the elevator. Today I saw more than 20 people walk up 9 flights of stairs including the elderly. That is just unacceptable especially in this cold weather. They are currently having the roofs in the garage repainted but they can't seem to get the elevators fixed???!!! Geeez.

  • Caitlin Carter

If you want to pay a reasonable price for downtown parking, park in a city owned garage. They have a special logo that identifies them as city of San Antonio garages and not privately owned. I parked here overnight on a weekday (total of 22 hrs in the garage) and paid a flat rate of $9. This is a steal compared to the hotel garages/lots which range from $17-30 overnight.

  • Barry Stevens

This garage has a great location with access to Riverwalk and Alamo. It has a flat rate of 10.00. Be sure to only pay as you leave at the drrive through gate. Do not pay at the machines by the elevator. Potential for you to get double charged. See others testimonies on this as well. Other than that hickup, good location, will park here every time I visit Riverwalk.

  • Scarlet McCutcheon

Probably one of the only reasonably priced parking locations downtown now. Its price is based off time so you can spend less if you're there for less time (otherwise 20$ if you're over 10hrs i think) but jt doesn't go above 20 which is what you're paying to park anywhere at the riverwalk. It was clean and accessible with the stroller and has nice elevators.

  • M&M

The price of this parking lot is surprising, a very good price accessible for people with a very low budget, very clean, tidy, safe, I will not hesitate to return from New York to Sanantonia, I leave satisfied in every aspect, food, prices, toilets, a view very nice city with so many options to do with family and couple..

  • Johnnie De La Garza

I park there often as I do a lot of reviews in that area. So it is convenient for me. It does get busy when there is a big show at the Majestic Theatre so it may be hard to get in, but I have always found space there. Elevators are fairly fast considering the traffic. The rates are good and worth it to be convenient.

  • Twitch VM___Gaming

So this is an interesting one. The website says it's $10 for a full day, but I went 3 says back to back and only paid $9 for a full day. This saving, while minimal, really put things into perspective. Also, there's usually a good amount of empty spots the higher up you go. Therefore, I give this place a 5/5

  • Peter Huertas

Very close to all main attractions in the downtown area. $10 all day parking. It is fully automated garage. They take cash or credit. Make sure not to lose ticket, because there's an $18 charge to get out. But if your a DV and you have either plates or mirror tag, you can park for free handicap tag as well.

  • Shawn Eaton

A flat rate of $10 to park, Houston street is right there, and almost anything else downtown is easily accessible from here via the Riverwalk which is only a block away. It's completely worth it to park here, and then walk to where you're heading instead of parking closer and paying $10-25 more.

  • Austin Hamm

Great parking, stayed at a nearby hotel for 4 days and always found a good sized parking space. Overnight parking prices were the best I've found anywhere near the riverwalk. The only issue was the elevators - 2 out of 3 were out of order, so don't bother waiting, just take the stairs.

  • Sam Lin

This garage is easy to find, although it is accessed from the south side of the garage, which is not on Houston St. The prices are very reasonable - I paid about $9 to park for 8 hours there. It is in the middle of everything and within walking distance to the River Walk and the Alamo.

  • Valerie O

This is our go to garage for parking when we have to be downtown. Usually the cheapest at $10, but they always have so many empty "reserved" spots so we normally end up having to go all the way up to the sixth level. Of course there are elevators, but why so many empty reserved spots??

  • Mark 3563

We stayed at the Gibb hotel 3 blocks away. They wanted 30 dollars a day for their parking. Parked here for 2 days. 10 dollars per day. Worth the 3 block walk. Clean indoor garage. City run. Sign on corner did say full but when you drive up to the entrance no problem.

  • Kevin J Poole

I always park here when I stay downtown. Way cheaper than the hotels (unless you are going in and out literally over and over). Can always find a spot, and generally have no issue getting in and out. It's tight but that's to be expected of a downtown parking garage.

  • Be happy

What a great parking :) our hotel was charing $30 and we found this garage during a week :)Great location and safe parking right in dt from Tuesday noon till Thursday morning got charged $18:) definitely recommending it to every one who visiting San antonio dt

  • Saul Ponces

The cost was $10 per day. It’s less than other public parking spaces and it seems pretty safe. -The entrance and exit seem pretty narrow, especially if you are driving a bigger vehicle. They offer free parking for handicap with proper credentials. Stay safe.

  • G Spot

Easily accessible but if you have an attendant there during certain times I think it would best for them to pay more attention to the license plates I was charged 15 dollars to park and then they noticed my DV tags. Other than that it's around everything.

  • Matt and Mandy Sargent

This was an easy, close, and affordable option for visiting the Alamo. The parking spaces are a bit narrow but plentiful. There is an elevator available, and a delicious bakery across the street. We could not have asked for a better location.

  • Cherissa Kline

After pulling into another garage with no posted pricing till you pull in ($32+), other reviews helped us find Houston Street Garage. It was just $10 for overnight weekend parking vs our hotel which was valet only at $48 per night.

  • Raey Sosa

We've always had a great experience parking here! The rates are reasonable, and if full at the lower levels, the upper levels offer an awesome view of downtown and a convenient elevator (and stairs for getting a quick workout)!

  • Michael Grizer

Great location next to the theaters and right on the river. Negatives are weird layout, way too many reserved parking spaces, and seemingly random rules on whether you lay in advance or after or with credit card or only cash.

  • Stuart Growden

It's a great place to park if you are going to the NIX Hospital. Free parking for the Handicap and if you get a voucher from your Doctor and you leave within 2 hours its free parking. It's a safe place to Park m,

  • Southern Belle

TERRIBLE! It's states there is $5 parking but we paid 35 for 4 hrs! Not to mention the elevator and lobby area smelled terrible and was filthy. You'd think for charging that it would be kept up with. Never again.

  • Juan

This is one of the cheapest parking lots in San Antonio for only $9 for 24hrs and it is super close to the river walk. Be advised that parking spaces are so close to each other you will probably get car dings.

  • Derek Gantt

Convention Center Garage was full due to a special event so we came here as our second choice. Flat daily rate that seems reasonable for the area. Pretty easy getting in and out. Glad I found this place.

  • vanessa hill

Great location, but I feel like the city should have lower fees for those of us that work downtown. Especially during events, we shouldn't have to pay 15 dollars to park our cars to go to work.

  • Brandy Bollin

We parked on the 9th floor. That is a small. Old school garage, so just keep the wheel turned the whole time. Convenient, inexpensive parking for Events and lovely area around Majestic.

  • Jennie Ziegler

Parked there 3 days in a row. It’s walking distance from the river walk, Alamo, and the mall. I even walked to the convention center and back. I felt my car and stuff were safe.

  • Riffs Hobby (RiffsHobby)

Very affordable parking garage in the heart of downtown. Plenty of free spots higher up and then just take the elevator down. Pretty clean as well.

  • Amal Bouabdelli

Affordable parking, the cheapest in the area. We paid $9 for 3 hours. The last time I paid $20 for 2 hours in another garage on the same street.

  • Ajinkya Taware

Good location, $10 for the whole day, great elevators (fastest elevator I have seen in a parking lot). You can't go wrong with this one

  • Flor Guerra

Horrible broke into our car no security on site and no surveillance!! Several cars were broken into!! Guy at gate didn't care!!

  • Christopher V.

Never had a problem parking. Very reasonable prices even when there’s events near the garage. Flat $10 parking never fails.

  • Richie

Decent garage. Seems to be hit or miss as to what level will have open spots. Sometimes it's 4, sometimes it's 7....

  • DeeAnna Lz

We didn't have any issues with this garage. It was clean, well located and offered compact and disabled parking.

  • Roger Alonzo

Good garage and good prices. One of the best places to park if you’re going to be walking around downtown.

  • A K

joslyn is the most amazing and sweetest parking attendant i have ever had the pleasure of experiencing
