First and foremost I just want to thank officer Blyden for the respect and courteous nature he displayed when handling my issue. But now for the problem, I don't know what happened to the Integrity of police officers in 2019 or maybe it isn't all of them but this bald Asian police officer at the front desk was one of the most disrespectful, rude, and confrontational people I've come across in a while. I just wanted to file a police report or at least get some information. The entire time I was explaining myself he kept making these faces to where it was clear he wasn't showing any empathy to the situation, proceeded to speak loudly over me and not actually listen, and try to argue with me about the fact that he's being disrespectful. It took another officer to descalate the situation in a peaceful manner and actually hear me out then point me in the right direction. As kids people look up to police officers because they are supposed to be super heroes. I know that you guys are humans just like us but don't take a job where people expect you to help and have empathy to their problems and do the complete opposite.

I don't understand why some people want to complain about service from Houston Police Department Westside. I found their service to be excellent! I went there this morning (21 August 2022) to file a vehicle accident report. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was met with courtesy and efficiency. An officer in the lobby asked me what I needed -- when I told him he asked me to take a seat and someone would be with me in a few minutes. The wait was no more than a minute or two and Officer Truong (7390) came out to assist me with filing the report. At all times, he dealt with the situation in an exceptionally professional, efficient, and courteous manner. If I could give no stars, then I certainly in the heck would. Last year in July and September 2017 I had my apartment burglarized by my jealous hearted former brother in law and his friend who lived across and upstairs from me. His friend (Eric Williams) also sells drugs and is a pedophile by the way. Detective Simpson put absolutely no work into the investigation whatsoever. Even with fingerprints gathered from the 2nd break-in, HPD was not helpful at all. Criminals like the two above mentioned can roam around happier than alley cats in trash can but if a hard working citizen decides to take matters into their own hands and beat the brakes off of a criminal, here comes HPD ready to hand cuff the avenging party.

Terrible experience with the policeman at the front desk, he appeared racist and irresponsible to the call i made during my accident, refusing to come to the scene to file a police report when my accident (involves 4 cars) doesn't appear as "urgent medical emergency" they refused to come and was totally unhelpful. At first they said that they would come and then 1 hr later they still havent arrived, so i dialed 911 again and they said they wont to come and ask us to settle it on our own, what kind of services is that? when people needed you the most??. I used to admire the job of the police, but after all the terrible experiences today, i'm speechless and EXTREMELY disappointed.

I had several issues with a neighbor renting a house and using the street as a car dealer. I reported several times to the police they have several cars without registration sticker andmd expired paper plates. They don't do anything and one time an officer come to my house didn't even let me explain that situation, talk and talk and left my place. After 5 months neighbors still doing the same, even use the street to repair cars, block street for several minutes and even park wrong way.. We want just to live in a peaceful and clean neighbor but always nasty people out there. So sad.

I called the Southwest command station three times between seven and 730am because I was told by the main HPD office that the southwest command station was open 24 hours a day. When I called them I only got voicemail and the voicemail message was so hard to understand I’m still not sure what she said. Then I looked on the website and it says they’re closed from 12-1 Every day so I’m not sure why HPD told me they were open 24 hours a day. If this had been an emergency rather than a noise complaint I will be very disappointed and upset right now

The service here is horrible. You can have your car hit, and someone throw something, threaten you with a 4 way from a tire, and law enforcement here can tell you they doubt anything will be done about it. Yet, you have someone putting a gun out the window in you filing some kind of charge. You have people shooting at each other on the freeway, and you have no choice to do your job. You make people in society feel like taking matters in there on hands is okay, because you just rasher sit behind the desk eating donuts while soaking up air.

I went there to file a report that I was being robbed earlier at gunpoint but managed to drove off. Sat there waiting for them to do the report for 30 minutes then for one of the officer told me that it’s not in their city limit when I was told to go to their location in the first place. Then proceeded to do nothing about it except telling me that “you don’t need to do anything, they probably onto the next victim” I mean wow…seriously. Helpful much???

No response after 3 hours sad, I fear for our lives maybe that's why we need more offices? The dispatch operator told me if I complained about the time response she would cancel the 911 call, I maybe need to follow up with them I was told not a part of HPD sad, going to cancel the 3 other 911 calls cause of the treat had gotten worse so now I have to go in and after I was assaulted make the report at West side station. Sad we are in danger

The police department that deems it alright for an unlicensed driver, an uninsured driver, and an undocumented driver to leave the scene of an accident with a mere “warning.” Though this particular driver is the cause for the accident. Rather than choosing to tow the car, perhaps assigning a ticket for misconduct, Houston police embraces uninsured and unlicensed drivers. I witnessed this unlawfully act and was baffled.

I called they showed up about an hour and half after I called, they took down some information on a hit & run and theft; they left me a case number to hold onto and call back after a few days to get a hold of a detective.I called up numerous times after 4 days-60 days, I left numerous voice-mails and no one ever returned my calls.Take care of your own business,they aren't out to help us.

I respect honest police officers not pigs , this area isn't the finest. Making this station disregard plenty of crime reports. I reported a car being broken into they took 1 hr to arrive then they wanted to show up at my apt ?? Dont snitch im reporting a crime on the parking lot of apt!!! I gave car description ... I miss living in the suburbs the police arrive immediately!

Totally rude and disrespectful. The bald headed man at the entrance needs a lesson in manners and customer service. You don’t yell like your insane across the hall. Not everyone who walks through the door is going to court rude one. The officer was nice and professional. Mr. loud mouth needs to be monitored by the chief of police. Unprofessional and totally Rude.

I tried to report a domestic shooting with unknown casualties that needed to be investigated with video evidence and they completely brushed me off and said they couldn’t do anything about it after treating me like I was an inconvenience for almost two hours. This station is horrible and I do not feel safe knowing these people are supposed to be protecting us.

Sorry i cant even check none of the stars because clearly they dont even deserve one star. I dont know exactly which one i had a run in yesterday at my child school but they mad disrespectful throwing my drivers liscense at me and was in bragging about it. But yet you want respect please its to be earned and not because you wearing a badge.

Terrible terrible customer service. They treat you like a prisoner when calling and asking for Information. In the middle of my sentence the lady hung up in my face and was very rude! If I could rate them any lower I would because these people don't realize they're in the business of saving lives and some of them don't deserve that job.

Came into this department late Tuesday evening to file a hit and run report. Officer Wright badge number 3901 went above and beyond to take care of our minor incident. I'm glad to see this department has great people like him serving our community. The world is a better place with people like him. Thank you for your service!

I am so disappointed in hpd customer service. I have lost the trust in law enforcement in my community. They direct you to website but they do not followup to complaints. It is useless to file a report. They don't write reports when come to your location. I think the only is when someone is killed. So sad

I called the police , waited for 3 hrs. They didn't show I have to have my children sleeping in the car , I was afraid that the fugitive could hurt them I don't know if the police actually wait to see of something really bad happen to show or I don't understand why took them so long

Rude and demeaning experience from the policeman at the front desk when seeking help after a car accident. He made very pointed remarks word for word, "You need to brush up on your Texas laws" after saying we were out of state and wanted to know how the laws in Texas work.

The children aren’t safe getting on and off the bus. The van went around the bus that my daughter gets off of on Brant Rock. The van literally processed to drive while the children got off the bus. This morning a 4 door white Cadillac with paper plates did the same thing.

Worst customer service ever from the security guard at the front door to the rude female police officer at the front counter. Where do they get these people from. To think that I once thought about becoming a police officer. Glad I picked a better profession.

Very polite when i was arrested they left the cuffs loose so i was glad about that officer was polite and nice sould give it 5 stars but i called shoutgun and still sat in the back seat but other than that would get arrested by them again …

Absolutely useless so far. I live in Austin and have tried filing a report by calling them. They tell me to file it in Austin. Then I am told to file it where the crime took place.

I had a bit of wait after first approaching the desk in order to report a crime. But when eventually seen my report was taken care of promptly and Officer Blyden was great!!

They have help me in many ways in 911 calls and non 911 call.. they help save my live the last time when i was assaulted with a deadly weapon. Thank you all for you help
