Dismissive & lacking sensitivity to people's health - ill health exacerbated by low frequency noise of this church. STOP DELETING. This is my truthful reflection of my interaction; my opinion. This church has created negative emotions: nervous; shakes; have to leave home. Not hope. Despair/anguish @ noise disturbance this church creates. They don't seem to care. Low frequency noise affects sleep; increases fatigue & annoyance. 19-AUG-18 8:50 -10:20am loud thumping bass sound. Angry, heavy bass 21-AUG 8:15-9:07pm constant heavy thumping 24-AUG 6:45-7:05pm low thumping in background (visiting in person: told a practise session) 24-AUG 7:43-8:00pm on/off continuous thumping reverberating through the air 26-AUG 9:00-10:30am Low thumping in the background but not intrusive and, therefore, somewhat acceptable; increasing in volume by 9:30am but not too bad; volume by 10:00am could be heard over the tv & dishwasher; and 10:15-10:30am quite loud - back to an intrusive volume that ruins what should be a peaceful Sunday morning. 28-AUG 8:08-9:44pm Doof doof doof vibrating through the house from a person playing the drums loudly, disrupting those who need rest from a long day. FINISHING TIME WAS BEYOND WHAT EPA GUIDELINES CONSIDERS ACCEPTABLE IN A NORMAL COMMUNITY. 31-AUG 6:16-7:00pm and 7:34-8:30pm EXTREMELY LOUD DOOF DOOF DOOF. VERY OPPRESSIVE 1-SEPT 5:50-6:35pm and 6:55-7:43pm DOOF DOOF DOOF It's just noise, it's not even music. STRESS STRESS STRESS 1-SEPT 9:46-10:30pm BOOM BOOM BOOM a quieter version of the DOOF DOOF DOOF heard in the background ruining what was a relaxing evening. Volume started diminishing (thankfully & finally) towards 10:30pm 16-SEPT 9:08-9:34am WUMP WUMP WUMP WUMP A peaceful lie-in, resting on Sunday morning destroyed. Apologies for not giving an update in the last 2 weeks - unavailable. 16-SEPT 9:56-10:44am approx. WUMP WUMP WUMP started (again). Just sounds angry like a sports car with a sound system next to you at traffic lights. 23-SEPT 9:00-10:30am (approx. on and off during that time) WUMP WUMP WUMP. I feel like this Church likes to create h*ll for its neighbors. Ironic. Disturbance feels very stressful. Having been in person to make complaints over the months, the band creating this noise disturbance does not seem to have any skill - they just play loud. 30-SEPT-18 9:00-10:35am (approx) Disrespectful, loud noise affecting health, resulting in stress. They have still not replied to email to discuss their lack of respect and lack of values. The feeling of torture finished around 10:35am - such a relief but expected to resume next week. 7-OCT 9:55-10:40am (approx) Here we go again. The arrogance of this Church at its entitled belief it can cause stress for its neighbours by banging loudly on low frequency drums that can be heard down the street. This does not sound like transforming Melbourne for Christ. Stress is a stroke risk factor. This Church causes stress but they aren't willing to communicate; emails have been sent & ignored. Finish time approx due to not seeing time due to stress headache caused by noise from this church. 9-OCT 8:20pm -9:16pm And again with the BOOM BOOM BOOM. No service tonight (by the looks of it) but still playing loudly. I don't believe this "church" cares about ppl's health. This disturbance is causing stress. 12-OCT 6:49pm - unknown finish time went for a walk for 1.5hrs. The DOOF DOOF DOOF started; it felt evil. I started to shake; get nervous. If I continued to stay I could feel I would eventually get depressed. The Church created negative emotions; to overcome it, I went for a walk. The Church forced me out. 15-OCT 9:07-10:15am THUMP THUMP from church woken up. Thought I'd a headache. Heart beating faster. Nervosness. 21-OCT 10:00-10:15am & 10:30-10:45am Offensive pounding, like explosions, reverberating thru the air. No hope. No respect. 23-OCT 8:00-9:05pm Low THUMP THUMP. Some ok; some not; worse into evening. 28-OCT, 4/11-NOV Avoided area. 13-NOV Start? Finish after 9:20pm Low thumping 25-NOV Avoided area

This is a fantastic church with a great pastor and warm welcoming atmosphere. The Holy Spirit moves here and the messages are filled with truth of the good news of Jesus. I regularly come down from Brisbane to visit my family and sometimes for work, and this is the church we choose to come to. Reading all the noise complaints from neighbours is rather disturbing and I was concerned. However after visiting the church this Sunday morning, I must say that the volume is very quiet for what is a usual church standard. I could barely hear the drums through the cage and couldn't even tell if there was a bass guitar. Being someone with very good hearing and a musician who cares about his ears, I am always concerned when the volume is too loud. However here I found the volume very soft, even too soft. So all I can assume is that they have done all they can to minimise the noise to be mindful of the neighbours which is very considerate of them. If neighbours want perfect silence, that's unreasonable. And there's no homes super close by. It all just seems a bit much in my opinion. It abides by the local laws and noise regulations so need to stop. Anyway, lovely church with nice people. I look forward to visiting next time I'm down in Melbourne.

I have been attending Hope City Church for just over 3 years, and it has been an amazing and eye opening experience. The people are friendly, welcoming and understanding of everyone who attends. I have 2 young kids who attend with me and they also feel loved and cared for, like being part of a family. Pastor Andrew & Pastor Dean, both are anointed in reading and explaining the word of God and teaching us on God's promises for our lives and the power of the Holy Spirit. Josh our worship leader is anointed with energy to praise the Lord and lead us in expressing our love towards the Father. Hope City Church has a vibrant community with people of all ages while still promoting the need for our youth to take over and reach out to our city!

Hope city church is full of Gods love and power. We have been attending this church for 5 years and it’s been life changing. A great place to be apart of and I highly recommend it.

Loud and impersonal. Attended in 2005 a couple of times and apart from greeters at the doors I wasn't spoken to directly at all.
