I've been taking my last 2 VWs to the dealership for servicings, repairs, etc. for the last 10 years. Over time I've just sort of gotten used to $1000+ bills for unexpected issues, and figured that was just the cost of driving older non-domestic vehicles. After my last (particularly expensive) trip to the dealership, I took my father-in-law's advice and checked out Honor Auto. I've had my car into Honor Auto twice now for servicing, and in both cases some additional work was required. Once it was the brakes, and the next time there was an issue with the air not blowing and the rear washer fluid dispenser not dispensing. On both occasions I picked up my car bracing myself for a fairly large bill. Both times, I was shocked to find that my bill was half (almost a third) of what I was expecting. I would recommend Honor Auto to everyone looking for a mechanic. You'll never wonder again if you're being overcharged or if things are being repaired that probably didn't need repairing.

Fantastic shop. Quick and responsive to schedule a time and set expectations. Everything was done on time and efficiently when actually at the shop. Honestly, the best part for me was the heads-up of things to lookout for without being told that it needs fixing now. Additionally, I had an issue with alignment which ruined a set of Winter tires and as most places would offer just to get a new alignment done. Honor Auto had the foresight of telling me that it's actually probably the tires and although we tried an alignment first (as per my ask) and it slightly improved things, a tire change was needed and made all the difference. The knowledge is clearly there along with the customer service which is great to find. Thanks for the great service, will be going again!

John came highly recommended to me. 9 months earlier I was in need of some emergency work and that particular mechanic had quoted me high and tried to guilt/fear-monger me into service I couldn’t afford at the time. When I came to see John today I was half expecting that previous list from the other guy to come back to haunt me. Guess what?! There’s a reason that Honesty is one of the first points talked about on Honor Auto’s website. I didn’t need most of that work. A simple brake job and a tire mount & balance and I’m back on the road! In todays day and age companies like this are hard to find. And as the income earner for a household of 7 people, they really do respect my hard earned money and I appreciate not being ripped off. I will certainly be back!

When fate landed me in John's hands, I thanked the lord. I've been going to John for about a year now. He has serviced my old 1 ton RAM and now he's working on my 95 Jeep (as we speak lol). I am very pleased to now have a go-to mechanic. Their honesty in what needed to be completed, fair pricing, excellent customer service and flexibility for pick-up and drop off of the vehicles all impressed and pleased me greatly. Since then I have brought them all of our vehicles. I would no hesitate to recommend Honor Auto to anyone, they can be trusted to do what is required without inflated prices and unnecessary improvements which is always our concern in dealing with other mechanic shops. They always provide great work at a fair price with excellent customer service and only complete what is necessary!

John is awesome and I highly recommend him. We have been using his services instead of the dealership for the last few years and have no regrets. He is professional, efficient, effective and is prices are very fair. A testament to his honesty was the time when he diagnosed a leak in the oil sensor and instead of quoting me an astronomical figure, suggested I took it to the dealership and look into getting it fixed under extended warranty. It is hard to find a honest and good mechanic and we have been lucky to find that in John. His shop being 10 minutes from where we live is just an added bonus.

My key fob died and I didn't have a spare! The car would not start even when I put the key fob in the ignition. John was able to look at it right away and diagnose the issue. He went above and beyond to get my car running again. The dealership would have charged me thousands of dollars for a new key plus diagnostics and reprogramming. John has taken care of everything and saved me a lot of money! He is very experienced and knowledgeable and does whatever he can to save you money! I totally recommend Honor Auto!

Firstly!! I am a bad car owner. Once the warranty is over - I run it until it won't run!! Enter John and Honor Auto. Fixed what had to be fixed to get it running again - nothing extra - no nagging or shaming. My 12 year old car was only down for 1 day and now runs like a dream. I now have a place to get my vehicle fixed at all thanks to John for the amazing service. My car completely died on monday and he got the parts and my car fixed and back in my hands in 2 days even when they had to order the parts in from Vancouver. I had no appointment and they still gave me this incredible service I will definitely be back!! Would absolutely refer this mechanic shop to anyone with car problems. Had another visit to Honor Auto today, and just had to compliment the service and pricing yet again. Had a smashed window after my car was broken into, and needed an oil change on my Honda Accord. Honor Auto had me back on the road on the next day and I couldn't believe how little I was charged ( dealer was at least 2.5 times more). I told the customer service person that they needed to charge more, and he replied "many customers tell us that!". Support small business in Calgary!

I don't normally give google reviews but my experience with Honor Auto was ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations! I will recommend them to all of my family and friends. They are reliable, honest and kept me informed of my vehicle status throughout the time it was there. They were also transparent in how much my repair would cost and I really felt that my vehicle was in good hands.

Walk past the overhead doors, and you will quickly realize Honor Auto is run like "a tight ship": it is the cleanest automotive shop I've ever seen! Work is done on time, cost is reasonable, and the owners are friendly.. what more can one ask from a business? P.S. Honor Auto is the best team around in Calgary for auto repair services. I have been coming here for the last several years and every time I leave more impressed by the honesty, diligence, quality of work and kindness of the John & Lucy. I recommend them to my extended family, friends and neighbors which is the greatest form of trust and appreciation I can demonstrate.

Apparently a very busy place, made an appointment hav a auto-starter installed in my VW, on arrival the attendant explained that the shop was to busy at the time and advise me he would call me for the installation. Left my number for a call back but as of today still no call back. This was a month ago (06 Jan 2020). At lease business must be good for this shop.......?

I am so happy to find John’s shop info on the web. Called him for a quote on my W212 which needed coil spring replacement. Right away I can tell that he knows European cars very well. Provided me very reasonable quotes and we scheduled a time. Came in for 1,5 hour and get the job done. He is the kind of guy who won’t tell you to do unnecessary works on your vehicles.
