Make no mistake. This is a no-frills, one-star motel. But you probably knew that already, because you're looking for a cheap place to stay on a budget. The good news is that it's not the worst one-star motel you could find yourself in. First, the good: The site is currently undergoing a minor facelift, so you'll likely get a unit that includes a fresh coat of paint, relatively new beds, new flat screen TVs and relatively clean sheets. So if that's the least you're hoping for, Crossland delivers. It's perfect if you're merely looking for a place to lock up your stuff by day and a warm place to crash at night. Nearby conveniences within a three block radius include Chevron, Circle K, El Pollo Loco, Sonic, Burger King, McDonald's, Dominos, Coin Less Laundry, Dollar Store and Food City as well as both Chinese and Mexican local restaurants. Now for the bad: The floors were absolutely filthy; I ran a damp washcloth over them and they were covered in black soot and there were crumbs and a dead moth in the corner by the air conditioning unit. I'm not sure when, or if, they had ever been swept or mopped. Also, you probably won't want to use the dresser for your clothing, as there were several items left behind in the drawers by previous occupants including a half eaten candy bar and some melted bubble gum. There are no trash receptacles on and around the outside of the property, and only one small waste bin in the room, so unfortunately litter tends to pile up pretty quickly in the parking lot (and it may be neglected for days before staff finally cleans up). My cell phone was unable to connect to the "Free WiFi," insisting it was a grossly insecure line. My laptop was able to connect, however, the connection was slow and unresponsive. One final thing to take into consideration, particularly if you're searching for a bargain: The location isn't particularly convenient to the airport nor downtown. You'll be about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport and another 10-20 minutes away from the center of town. If you have your own vehicle or plan to rent one, this shouldn't be a problem, but if you're planning to rely on public transportation, taxis and/or Uber or Lyft, the twenty to fifty bucks you're saving per night on the room instead of opting elsewhere can easily be spent to get yourself around town each day and night.

I gave it 2 stars because when we booked it over the phone I specifically asked if I needed a major credit card to rent instead of cash. Lady told me no as long as it had a visa logo. We get to front office and check in and the lady says oh no we cant use a netspend prepaid card. I informed her that i had asked before i even booked it. She then went to ask her manager. After telling us the reason they want a deposit of $100 or cc on file was because children damage their towels and other things by drawing on them. Have our 15 year old and 1year old staying with us. My daughter is 1 and has no buisness with markers crayons or anything like that but i get it some people just ruin it for everyone else by not watching there kids. Anyways she ended up letting us use the prepaid card because my husband gets his checks direct deposited to it every payday. We get to our room and the room was not very clean. Floor had a layer of dirt and sticky stuff on it. Bathroom and shower were not cleaned right. Drain is not scrubbed and had orange mildew on it..so gross! I am a professional house cleaner and had my cleaning supplies with me so i deep cleaned our room which we paid alot for. Mopped the floor and disinfected everything. I see cleaning ladies on the property but all i ever see them doing is walking in and out the area they do the laundry for the rooms. Lady was there all day and not one time did I see her or anyone cleaning a room. The microwave in our room does not spin so food dont cook properly and the 2 burner stove only the small burner works. Other than that the room was nice beds are real comfortable. Nicely updraded. Oh and for us staying weekly it would be nice to get the same weekly rate instead of it changing everytime. Thats very inconvenient

I was stuck by my job in this hotel 2 years ago and everytime I have came back to Phoenix I've been terrified I will be in the same location. I guess my time has come full circle because I'm here again. The early 90s television in my room that didn't have functioning sound was the least of my issues. There is a mountain of trash outside the elevator on my floor that has clearly been there long enough to smell like rancid, dirty diapers. I walked into a room that was 90 degrees, had carpet with GIANT stains from liquids, and reeked of cat urine. My sink has blood, toothpaste spit, dirt, and hairs all over it. The walls have multicolored, dried stains of fluids that have been running down them. The shower stall had old used soap stuck to the shelf. It had hair left behind. The rim of the shower (a "smoke-free" room) has cigarette stains/burns all over it. There were splotches of some thick dried substance on the kitchen/bathroom door. I checked my linens and mattress throughly before deciding to wait until morning to confront a manager when one comes on duty. I will never stay here again. I MAY never stay at a extended stay again. I can't believe this is acceptable to them. My job has me and my partner and 15+ other employees in hotel rooms 20 nights or more a month. This is NOT how to keep a business running. Which bring me to the clientele. This is the sort of place where most of its patrons LIVE. Long-term. Hookers, panhandlers, druggies, and general deadbeats alike. Alarms are going off at regular intervals. Fighting "guests" in rooms near by. Secret knocking codes down the hall. PEOPLE OFFERING ME DRUGS IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM. I WILL post after I confront the manager.

Only good thing is the room was remodeled and smelt like fresh paint rather than cigarettes. No tub. There wasn't any cookware, cups, plates, eating utensils nor a coffee pot as they supposedly donated them as a result of the remodel and the new stuff would be there "any day". The new laminate hardwood floors were absolutely disgusting as they were covered in soot and turned my feet black with a quick walk to bathroom from the bed and back. I had to use baby wipes to clean the floors since I did not recieve house keeping at all the entire 10 day stay. I mentioned the dirty floor to the front desk and I was told its like that because we are in the desert which was a poor excuse and didn't offer to have housekeeping come and clean it. I had to take all my linens down stairs to trade them for new ones and was told to take my own garbage out to the dumpster. I was told housekeeping cleaned once a week on a specific day since we were extended stay but no one showed up to clean. Someone else told me it would be a different day and no one showed up again. Plus there was garbage in the stairwells and transits leaving their belongings in the stair wells or hanging out around the hotel. Car alarms always going off which resulted in little sleep having to keep an eye on our car since the area is not safe at all. It could have been a way better experience and a much cleaner environment. Unfortunately that's not the case. This hotel might be ok for a night or 2 but its not worth the extended stay to not at the very least get garbage taken out and have the bedding and towels switched out.

Needed a place to stay while we were waiting on approval for our new home. This was an affordable option and close to the freeway. Checked in and Tressa was very helpful and nice throughout the process. But the quality of the room and service after her ruined the entire experience. There was blood on my sheets in the first room! They immediately moved me to a room behind the building. Mind you, I am pregnant and its 107 outside and I'm carrying luggage. Get settled into the second room. Blast the air down to 60 and try to cool down. 30 minutes later I notice I'm sweating wondering if it's just me. I open the freezer door and take a shower to cool off. Another 30 minutes later it's still muggy and hit and I sit by the a.c. unit and its blowing out warm air. I call down she says she will come up to check it. (Again very nice) she walks into the room and feels the heat. She sits down for a moment exhausted and overwhelmed. She deeply apologized and says to give her some time. I decide to go to the store. When I get back they have a new room on the 3rd floor. Since that day I've had noise issues, smoke coming into my room through the bathroom, cats everywhere, roaches, this is day 3 with no clean towels. Had to buy my own toilet paper which is fine. But I call down for the 2nd time on day 2 and the lady has an attitude like it's my fault. I've had the same towels for 4 days. And house keeping hasn't come by and its day 5. Definitely won't stay here again.

Two stars for price but...Where to begin.. had to stay here for 5 days because unfortunately it was a non-refundable reservation. I could tell upon my arrival I had already made a huge mistake judging by the area. Looks like anything that rolled off the street was staying here. Was given a room on the third floor with my infant son in a supposed non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. Also I noticed that the deadbolt on the door did not lock and in this area you really need it. Then I found a wad of dirty sheets and towels underneath the kitchen sink which I turned into the office. Found out at that moment they also don't do housekeeping unless you're here for over 10 days. Noticed that the vent cover was missing in my bathroom and the shower curtain was so short that every time we showered there was water all over the floor. If they took the time to actually update the furniture in the room it would actually be a pretty nice place. Maybe also weeding out who they allowed to stay on the premises. Not to mention right when I got here the elevator went out and was not ever fixed during our whole stay so we had to use the stairs on the sides of the hotel, which on each level was a disgusting smelly overflowing garbage can. If you're a parent traveling up three flights of stairs during this kind of stay you know its a lot of work. I will not ever stay here again I don't care what type of financial bind I'm in. I guess you get what you pay for.

My significant and I came at 3pm and had to wait approximately 15mins while the staff did a shift change and made customers wait (there were about 4 parties waiting while staff counted money). Upon receiving our first room key, we had difficulty accessing the room and had help to open the room. The staff was able to move us to a different room and the lock was equally difficult. The Second room we stayed in had no pillows, blanket, fresh linens, bath towels. The kitchen was not stocked with pots/pans or silverware. We called Front Desk on multiple occasions to get an update on our pillows and materials and had to walk to the rental office to get our supplies (even with the new supplies, the bed sheets and blankets had red marks, foot/shoe marks on them). It was a disheartening experience. On our last call to the Front Office, we were offered a new room or a refund after the fact we had moved our luggages in and used our own personal blankets we had brought with us. Yes, there were cockroaches (we came across one in the bathroom). Most people who are staying here is using this area as a place of Residence. We had a room on the first level so we hears stomping on the floor above us until 11pm granted we had a seminar the next morning. Understandably, the price comes along with the inconvenience. Bring your own pots/pans/silverware and definitely ask for a room that has been cleaned prior to new guest arriving.

Horrible experience at this place. The room was dirty when we got in, it did not appear to have been cleaned for a while. The toilet was absolutely disgusting, not cleaned at all, nor was the shower. You could see that the floors have not been cleaned at all as well. One of the beds had some sort of sticky spill under it. Good to know that we did bring our own bedding to this place. We only got 2 towels for 4 people and when we went down to get 2 more, it was like pulling teeth. They told my husband that they did not have any clean ones. He got them to actually go look and they had one towel and a hand towel. The next morning we wanted to shower again because we were going to be out for the day. When my husband went to take the used towels in to get fresh ones, they were in a meeting from 10 to 11 and they refused to help guest and even receive a package from FedEx, said they were in a meeting and will be out when they are done. My husband came back to the room and went back at 11. He came back 30 minutes later after having to argue with the staff about getting fresh towels. They told him you can only get them after 5 and that they are also limited in linens so it is first come first serve. What kind of place cannot even provide enough towels for their guests. They leave garbage that gets kicked down the stairs for hours before cleaning. This place is a joke. Spend the extra $$$ and stay somewhere else!

I seen a lot of negative reviews that made me skeptical to even come here. However, I had no choice. But, I have never had any of the issues that were listed from other people. Me and my other half are very reserved and to ourselves, so we have never had a problem with anyone at all and that's including staff. People do come and go and there is mild traffic, however it's nothing to worry about. There is security that comes and patrols overnight to make sure no one comes into property. Such as tow trucks. I've never seen a bug except moths, no one smokes in the rooms. The neighbors are very friendly. Most folks here are long term residents. Such as I. It's very affordable being that there is a kitchenette, a fridge, microwave, lights, water, Wi-Fi, Cable, onsite laundry. I book for a whole month which is super cheap 880.00 a month. I often think it's better than having a 12month lease because you have everything but a oven lol. If I ever find myself in a rut or even if I move states and came to visit, I definitely come here first. I highly recommend this place. If you are boogie and expect room service every second, then it's not the place for you. But if you are laid back, reserved, and drama free, and focused on your needs and not materialistic wants the this is the place to come. There's no decor, but all your needs are definitely met.

Thieves and liars! Horrible experience. Booked a room on May 5th being a responsible individual and not diving on Cinco de Mayo. Note, availability in the area was slim as it was a holiday. First room, the a/c nor did the toilet work. It’s been 107 degrees in Phoenix over the last 2 weeks. They switched my room to room 307. The a/c worked, but once again the toilet did not flush and there were roaches in the room. Asked to switch to a clean room and was told there were no vacancies. Checked out early Sunday as I couldn’t take it any longer, but forgot my $40 hydro flask in the room. Called at noon and spoke to Erin. A sorry excuse for an assistant manager. Told her I left a bottle and she immediately says “ A black one on the night stand.” Yes, exactly! Returned to retrieve my hydro flask and mysteriously no one can find it nor knows what I am talking about. I get the run around for 5 days, until today I was able to speak to the “manager” who was no help at all. Do not waste your time, effort, energy or money staying at this run down motel. Even if it is your last resort. I will be calling the health department as well as the BBB and hopefully get this place to clean up. Regardless of price, establishments should be held to some sort of standard in terms of integrity.

I sold my house and needed a place to stay for for a week and only ended up staying here for a few days. I think the only single word that could fully describe this place is ratchet or ghetto maybe we'll hyphenate that into one word ratchet - ghetto. The room was extremely dirty with hair and any place you would imagine to find it even in the refrigerator. The room had an extremely strong cigarette smoke odor, not to mention having to see Roach not the kind that come out of the sewer every once in awhile but literal German house roaches crawling about as if they don't even have Pest Control. The thing that finally did it for me was looking at the ceiling and realizing it had been recently painted but noticing something that seemingly look like blood spatter on the ceiling that was my final straw and I checked out. Oh and I strongly recommend reading the least they have you sign there's two areas on there that you should absolutely not initial they tell you that if you need to check out early you receive your refund on the lease there's a place for you to initial saying that no refund will be provided to you if you check out early after paying the week. I did not sign this and received my refund back good luck and don't say here.

Reserved a room for two nights. Paid in advance. Price should have been a tip off but since the place was located in a motel/hotel cluster I figured that competition made them affordable. I was wrong. The fact the place is shady made it affordable. Went to check in about 5pm. There was a contractors dumpster overflowing in the parking lot at the front of the property. Only person waiting to check in and I did wait - waited for them to finish talking on the phone in the back, waited for them to answer another line as I was standing there and waited for them to help the person that came in after me. Finally, got checked in (even though service was not great the lady that checked me in was nice enough). Rm on the third floor. Walked around the unkept building to a stair case with trash overflowing in every corner from what I could see. I had seen enough, even though my stay was prepaid and non-refundable, I won't be staying one minute in that place after dark. Not sure I want to go back during the day just to return the key cards. Found another room, a little more expensive but I'm not afraid to get out of my car at night. I never made it to the room, so I couldn't tell you whether it was acceptable.

Upon arriving Maintenance, and the front desk were awesome. We paid a security deposit, and moved in. They removed their furniture, and TV, and allowed us to bring ours in. There were a few times we struggled so they said they were waiving late fees. As they had over charged in the past, and wanted to help us out. When they found out we were moving out, because we got a new place the script flipped. The front desks attitude changed, and cooperate was there. They locked us out with our belongings, and two pets inside demanding payment. I did the math, and those "waived late fees" were applied. Cooperate threatened my husband until they found out that we would call the police. After we left they ran our card for an astronomical amount! In addition to keeping the security deposit on top of that amount! Glad we are out of there. The other people staying were scum. The motel is run down. Bad neighborhood. Staff cannot be trusted. Will never stay at nor recommend this shady, frightful place again! Watch your back with the people staying, and working there! Most renters are drug addicts, prostitutes and pimps anyway!

  • Aeskina

Entering the parking lot, I was reminded of the "bad part of town" youd typically see in movies. The people around this hotel seemed to be a bit sketchy, but the lady at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Getting to our room, the floor had not been cleaned in any way shape or form, we only had one towel and 1 pillow. They offer a fridge and a stove top, but have no plates, utensils, pans, pots, or a hair dryer. In the bathroom, our sink was backed up, and we hadn't even turned the water on, there were no soaps in the bathroom at all, the floor had some water damage. When we went to use the shower in the morning, we discovered the shower head was rusted and the shower itself was covered with tiny black hairs and there was discoloration of the actual shower. And to make things worse, I came out of the bathroom to change, and there had been a couple of spiders just lounging about on our bed. All of this within the first 24 hours of our stay. This place is good for an over night stay but nothing long term. If you can afford to do so, stay somewhere else.

  • Danny ????

So if i could give them less them 1 star. I'd give them a negitive 5 stars. They overcharge for tiny room, was supposed to pay $300 a wk plus tax but actually paid $375 a wk plus tax. Nothing on web site is true. No discounts, no full kitchenette, was there a month and was to have weekly maid service (which didn't happen.) Management sucks, some staff is ok, others suck and are rude. Drugs all over property. They kicked me out and let a fat, old druggy that steals money from people stay. Security is a joke. They have a drug dealer as a security guard. People break into rooms and steal other people's stuff, (which appearently they are not responsible for even though the crime was on their property). Stay as far away as possible from this drug filled roach motel. There's a $100 deposit on cash payments, card payments are ok but what they don't tell you is there's a $100 hold on your card that you'll get back in 2wks. And if you smoke in the room its a $250 fine. Guests are not allowed unless registered to room. Key cards don't always work.

  • Jena Grace

We were told we had until midnight to check in, got there 11 p.m and the office was locked. The security guard was up on the second level escorting people out of a room in the first five minutes we arrived. A lot of night activity in building. Elevators dirty. Trash everywhere. After we got checked in, I went up to open the room and immediately could tell it was dirty. Had a weird smell, no toilet paper, and one small hand towel in the bathroom. The floor was dirty, not swept/mopped. There was a wad of hair on top of the fridge, that was also unplugged and smelt terrible inside. Lumps of food (or something) in the drain in the sink and counter uncleaned. They do not provide even small shampoos like normal hotels, which I thought would be a given for an extended stay place. There was even dirt on the ceiling in the shower. In the morning, the AC stopped working and was just blowing hot air. We were glad to get out of this place and thankful it was only for a night.

Purchased hotel through orbitz and when I went to check in they had no record of my reservation. When I showed them the confirmation they questioned the rate I received. Eventually I contacted orbitz after about 20 minutes of pointless going back and forth and able to resolve the issue immeadiately. When I went back to checkin, the "hotel" attendant had attitude because I contacted orbitz. I eventually received the key and made my way to the room. I was greeted with what appeared to be homeless people around the area. The room had no toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, soap or toilet paper. Attendant stated they provide thoae products. The following morning I noticed what appeared to be more homeless people, drug addicts and possible gang members about the property. On two seperate occasions trhoughout that day there were police officers/vehicles on the property. Again, be mindful of where you stay and dont try to be cheap like I did. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

  • Christina Bennett

Absolutely horrible. We paid for a month here and ended up leaving early to move somewhere else because of the drug activity and absolutely no housekeeping not once while we were here. I even went to the office several times after housekeeping not showing up and we had been there going on 3 weeks. I spoke to the front office and they said they don't do refunds.. we didn't want a refund for the whole time we just wanted a refund for what we owed left but they couldn't do that either. I guess even if they don't hold up to their end of the terms theirs really nothing you can do about it. We just went ahead and left and rented another place. It wasn't worth not having clean linen because it was being washed and they didn't have extra to give or because the toilet overflowed and we couldn't even get housekeeping in to sanitize the floors. Horrible customer service, horrible place. Would not advise this to anyone.

  • Christine DeBlasi Billsborough

Awful front desk clerk was very nice..she was Training Samantha. I thought all was good till it took me over a half hour to find my room..The rooms go every other #...was told well ponted in the Direction where room was supposed to be..went to that area only to find out that there was no elevator on that side of building ..went back right to where I started from....only to go wrong way once i was on the right floor...Get to Room which is old run down dirty luck hanging off door.patches on wall's electric plates broken or whole socket hanging out of wall ...there is not a dish or even a cup to get a drink..how is this a kichenette suite extended stay..at a price that should be for 2 days not One it offers nothing...on top of all this I am an older DISABLED WOMAN...and they offered no assistance to help at all

  • Phillip Werner

This place was horrible. My first red flag was that he thought we would be paying in cash. The only good thing about it is that it's cheap. There were wires hanging out of the ceiling, the box springs and mattresses were stained, the sheets were cheap and itchy and thin, the middle blanket felt like a piece of rubber, the mattress was hard as a rock (my mom said prison beds are more comfortable), and the carpet was disgusting, I wore socks the whole time thankfully because they were completely black when I got back home, and the air conditioning kept on shutting down and overheating. Worst place I've been to in my life. I do not recommend ever staying here unless you're completely desperate. I swear it's a place for tweakers and hookers. I felt dirty after I left there. Do not stay there.

  • Tracey D

I have stayed here for the pass few years and every year it gets worse. Microwave doesn't work , complained to the front desk and nothing was done about it , a service request was put in and that was it so much for re heating my dinner . . I have a table but no chairs , no phone in the room , no clock . The room smells like cat piss & I was offered fabreeze by the person at the front desk . Carpet is so dirty my feet are stained so walking bare foot in my room is totally out of the question. When I checked in the lady was kinda rude too . I know it's a cheap place to stay but this year I truly got what I paid for ! I hate to say it. It I'm so done with this place . I just discovered a full trash can under the sink from the previous people who stayed here . Gross!

  • Will Rose

Don't rent this room! 1) It has not been cleaned. I stayed almost 2 weeks for financial reasons and it had issues. No cleaning service for sheets or room. 2) Trash always in the stairwells. Guests Don't use the dumbster. Large bugs on the wall too. 3) 1st floor looks renovated but I moved floors because multiple roaches were in my room. 4) Maintenance is non existent. The AC made a tormenting sound when it came on. The supervisor said they needed washers for a leaking shower head. It doesn't take 2 weeks to replace! Gallons of water is wasted because of their ignorance. It's causing mildew smells that congested my nose. 5) it's a non smoking hotel but guests openly smoke outside their rooms. What a nightmare!

  • Dei Rogers

First room didn't even have the bed made up much less have been clean so went to the second room it seem to be okay unfortunately you have your drug dealer and your local hooker standing on the second balcony selling their Wares. Trash piled up in the corner of the building and in stairwells. The elevator didn't look like it had ever been cleaned. The small kitchen was not equipped and when asked at the desk they do not supply anything at all no pots no pans no plates no glasses no coffee pot no iron and no ironing board so unless you travel with a supply of your own this is obviously not the hotel for you. It's a shame people that own businesses like this don't take pride in what they own and clean it up.

  • Shy Edison

I guess you get what you pay for.. in this case it was a room with no hot water, a clogged sink, no remote to the TV, a dirty floor, and rude front desk staff. Well, 1 person was rude (bottom heavy light skin black girl) and I'm not sure how she's employed there. She acted as if we were an inconvenience to her. But anyhow. Plain & simple, I'll never stay there again. I felt like I was in a homeless shelter. But on a positive note, no one broke in my car! There was armed security with vest on doing rounds. Oh and, my debit card was charged 5.00 for a bottle of water out the vending machin. Happy shacking if you choose to stay at this dump.

  • Aye aye aye mi estomago

JUST HORRIBLE!!! when I went to check in the lady at the front was very very rude. Kept interrupting me and rolling her eyes. Once we checked in we went to the room, I checked the bed sheets (like I always do) all of the pillow cases were dirty. It had brown spots and dirt marks. One of the queen beds had hair (looked like pubic hair) all over it. When we tried to close the door it would not close. We tried slamming the door shut and it would not close. Maintenance had to remove a part of the door in order for it to close. I do not recommend staying here and wasting your money on this awful hotel

  • The unknown Poet

I travel about 48 weeks a year and I stay in a lot of hotels in that time. This hotel by far is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I will never stay in a crosslands again 1st Rooms are nasty and they smell, trash all over the place 2nd Staff seems to have an attitude and not friendly at all 3rd and most importantly My truck was broken into .. About 700 worth of tools taken were taken. In all if you want to stay in a nasty room and have you vehicle broken into and you really just want a ghetto feeling this is your place. Never again will I stay or recommend this hotel.

  • Robyn Nicole B

Crossland West is a weekly room rental place which is outfitted like a studio apartment (fridge/stove etc.)with all utilities included. Located just East of 51st Ave. And McDowell, the location is in a high crime area and the place is kinda run down looking on the outside to match. A lot of people hanging around outside that may be considered "shady looking characters to some. The inside of the rooms seem to be nice considering their exterior, with updated bathrooms. I would probably recommend this place to someone in a bind needing a place to stay who doesn't scare easy.

  • Patience Ahusimhenre-Oghinan

I am giving a 3 star because of Kelvin in the front desk. Kelvin is extremely nice and sees to resolving any issue that comes up. I am presently staying here now and when we checked in, we were given a smoking room even though I had specified during my booking that I do not want a smoking room. The so called manager Jessica is as rude as the word itself. She doesn't care about your complaints. she hushes you before you even finish talking. Another guest gave it back to her when she tried to talk harshly to the woman. Jessica needs to change her attitude or removed.

  • Casandra Ormsby

I would rate this place with no stars but I cant. I wanted info on extended stay. When I went in the lady behind the front desk was rude and unprofessional. Nasty looks towards me because I had no info to give myself about their place. Someone needs more trading or to be fired. Plus that the price went up for two bed rooms to over 1,200 bucks is ridiculous when you can go down a couple miles to a next 2br 2ba extended stay for a 100 bucks more and where the employees are nice and the place doesn't look like a dump. I do not recommend anyone going to Crossland.

  • Sandra Rosko

Ever checked into a hotel room to find a single white male in his drawers readin' the paper when ya get there? Or ever had to be escorted to your next room by the lady at the front desk 'cause the key machine stopped working? Or ever had to change hotels at 1am, three hours after you checked into the first room, because the hotel manager refused to accommodate the two beds you ordered on Hotwire, even after everything that happened earlier? Me neither, until Crossland Economy Studios in Phoenix, Arizona. Don't put yourself through this!

  • malana

it was pretty cheap better than staying in a motel 6, but we did ask for a room with two beds and they "didn't have one open" but as we walked to our room we saw plenty of rooms with two beds that were empty and clean so idk about that. the room is a little dirty mostly in the bathroom/shower. and there's also a lot of sketchy people walking around- mostly at night. if your trying to have a good time I wouldn't recommend coming here. but overall if i honestly think paying a few extra $50-60 at another hotel would be best.

  • Gloria Alliger

Check in was very incompetent, especially with the use of a computer. I was charged double, and it took my bank to release the second set of charges. The manager, Debbie Muliyll was rude to him. Room condition - the carpet was stained/filthy, water/drain smelled like rotten eggs, interior hallways were dark and looked disgusting. I didn't want to know what was on the walls/floor. I will not stay there again. The only "star" I gave was for location. It was centrally located to the reason for my being in Phoenix.

  • Nina Marcella

My friend stayed here and when I went to pick her up each day, there were crack heads outside of every room and prostitues. She stayed there barely 2 nights and management billed her credit card 800 dollars and refused to refund it to her account. The management must have used the money for thier own leisure. Im not sure if my friend could not find another hotel at the time, but she ended up staying with me for the rest of her visit until she flew back home. We would not recommend this hotel

  • Adrian Pineda

I only gave this hotel 1 star because Google would not allow half a star. The GM Debra is very very very unprofessional and likes to disrespect you in front of everyone. She likes to charge you hidden fees. She charged me smoking fees when the clearly the front desk supervisor said the room right next to ours was the one smoking. Stay away from this place. Worst ever. The only reason why we got it in the first place was because it was the only one available that night.

  • Giggles

I never got the chance to stay but my experience was bad. I walked in the front office to inquire about staying and right off the bat it was bad. The lady at the desk was having a full conversation that was borderline flirting. Not ONCE did she aknowledge i was there, no i will be with you in a minute or ANYTHING of the sort. She just carried on with her conversation like i wasn't there for the 5 minutes i was waiting. I would NEVER consider spending my money here.

  • Jennifer Crisostomo

As a family on a budget crosslands was the best choice for our needs. Extended stay rates are more than reasonable. Check-in was smooth and quick and staff was friendly, and helpful. Becuse we travel for work sleep and saftey are a must. crosslands is quite and calm and theres security on patrol. The rooms are clean and the kitchenette is well equipped with stove top full fridge annd decent storage space. Flat screen tv with cable and best of all FREE WIFI.

  • Ryan Villnow

Based on other reviews, this place far exceeded my expectations. Certainly not a high-end hotel, so if that's the sort of place you're used to staying at, then you will be disappointed. That said, if you're looking for a place to stay and don't want to spend a lot, then Crossland will probably meet your needs. The room was clean, the place felt safe. They have free wi-fi, but it's pretty slow. The staff I dealt with was very courteous and helpful.

  • Juanita Rascon

Well I like the location close to restaurants, convenient stores, fast food, and grocery store. Loooove the fact that is had a semi full size fridge and a stove so I could cook my meals instead having to buy our all the time. But what was a major down fall for me was the fact that the room was the size of a show box. Barelyeven had enough room for the bed and dresser let alone guests. Next time I need a bigger room. Thats y not 5 stars.

  • Maleina Sinegarza

it was gross! i was in a room with a leaky shower and it did NOT stop, the people living there are very sketchy. an unusual amount of homeless people living outside. definitely looks nice online but not in person. my door didn't even lock> i had to put a table in front of the door because there was no moor rooms. its cheap but not very safe, save your money for something worth it! there is a nice la quinta right next to it.

  • Lee Anne Gipson

OverNight stay : NO toilet paper in room, Only 1 bathtowel and 1 washcloth and 2 small bed pillows (for 2 people)...and we saw 4 Roaches. On the positive side. Rooms are small but the space was utilized pretty good, (if you are going to live there.) Slightly smaller than standard size fridge, Microwave +2 burner stove. No coffee pot or Utensils, plates or cups..thou. Office + Help.. Not to Accomodating.. but Pleasant.

  • Jaime Lepe

This place is horrible. People drinking on the entrance of the place, horrible conditions of the place ac didn’t work room smelled, bed sheets had rips on them, room door needed to be push super hard to open and this if the card will read, the door bob on the inside of the room had screws losing the broken handle, homeless people and ladies of the night around the place. Please don’t waste your time on this place.

  • Mami Bella

Horrible place. They had roaches on the wall and floor I was scared to find one in my purse , they had mosquitos everywhere ! And the doors do not properly work. Everyone has complained about the doors. It would take me at LEAST 5 minutes to get my door to open EVERYTIME. it's disgusting all together I would not recommend it to anyone. And it should be work 30$ that's how bad it is, I wouldn't even give it a star

  • Rachael Hitchcock

Went to shower and there was used wet washrag in the shower so it wasn't cleaned... there's a puddle of water in the bathroom that's leaking from the sink.... the bedding is scary and tore up.... there's 10 men staying in the room next to us with their door open and they are drinking beer just sitting outside partying since 2pm....my feet are black from walking in the floor. Totally gross, not worth the price.

  • Hercia Nekaifes

I had no problems with the rooms, wifi is fast, front desk is helpful & weekly housekeeping. Rooms are equipt with a fridge, 2 burner stove tops & microwave. There is an elevator. The people who supposedly stand outside are harmless. My significant other & I keep to ourselves & aren't bothered by anyone. Security does patrol at night. If your looking for peace & quite, I recommend 3rd floor rooms.

  • Devon Cantu

Not that great. Don't give you clean towels. Gotta ask. They don't throw your trash lol! Like literally there's a sign.... We as guests are Responsible for throwing our own trash! Like dude it's ur job to clean our rooms right lk we are paying for it! Idk it's my opinion! Our shower leaked! The best thing is they have a fridge n fridge but no pans to lend like Extended America does!

  • Jon Lemnitzer

The only reason I am even giving this hotel one star is because of the free WiFi and the cheap prices, the rooms aren't bad also. Other than that the service is terrible and border line mean. If all your looking for is a rest stop for a night or a home base for a vacation where your gone all day, than this is the perfect place otherwise spend 10 bucks more somewhere else.

  • Pete Garcia

I travel alot and had the worst experience here, the rooms were filthy, i got transfered to three rooms till i finally had a decent one, even then, that floor was so filthy i had other ppls hair on my feet, i asked for a swifer or a broom, and they gave me nothing. The staff is really rude, and xont knpw how to talk to ppl. i wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

  • Briana German

I used to work here and it was unorganized and still is been trying to get my w 2 form since February and still no luck no one returns any phone calls now I must wait till May 7th thanks to the new law this place is horrible I dont recommend staying or working for them. So unprofessional its disgusting how company's can get away with this type of behavior.

  • John Menapace

I give it a 3 just because the customer service was friendly and helpful and the price was really good. Now the room wasn't so good. It had a shower only that dripped a s the bathroom floor was always wet. The sink looked like it was about to come off the wall. The vent didn't have a cover and was very noisy and the toilet always ran.

  • Gene Grantland

I've been her 3 nights my wakeup was set at 4 am on the second morning I received my wake on time on the third morning like the first morning no wake up call good thing I bought a alarm clock ,they haven't even got an automated wake up system there. No maid service on the day's the pronounced. Stay tuned for more detailed dislikes.

  • Shirene Najm

I helped my mother in law check into this hotel and the first 2 rooms they gave her were not clean and still had all the dirty sheets and other peoples belongings in them..If it wernt for the price she would not have stayed...You get what u pay for...dirt cheap prices get you dirty and unleaned rooms..Nastiest place I've ever seen

  • Luis Escobar

Check in went smooth and quick. There is security on patrol the room is clean and comfortable. Kitchenette is clean with storage space and a full size refrigerator. That's a huge plus since I don't have to eat out all the time and can store food and drink comfortably. Saves me a lot . all in all good room decent rate free Wifi

  • Lavette Damethra Moore Phillips

very unhappy with location. Room has only been cleaned once in the month I've been here. Which was dirty upon move in. Past three weeks no clean towels because the dryer is down I'm told. Have been told there is no toilet tissue. Several times a day the TV loses signal for periods of time. Water is turned off without notice.

  • carsel butcher

Arrived at 1am. Homeless people hanging around the property. Staff members were high on something. Bed sheets hadent been changed since last occupant, they only remade the bed. Disgusting!!!! I was there with my little girl and wife. By 2am. We decided to just leave because we didn't feel safe.

  • Laura Martinez

Room was full of roaches and when it came time to check out they were vauge about why they would not return deposit. Lady asked the maid 3 times if the room was clean and in decent condition. It was these people are thieves and con artist. I drive a cab and will never recommend this place

  • Shelia Nunez

I can't believe they had no swimming pool it was just a motel I would not go to again a very boring one at that. there is nothing just rooms and yeah it was really boring but there was a lot of cute men I would probably just go there to ride around and see if I would meet any of them

  • Origamisteve

Was just visiting a friend in his room while he was in town. The hotel is in a very so-so part of town. Parking there the place looked shady. The room itself was pretty standard. The bed looked pretty uncomfortable. Things peeling here and there, dated overall. Wouldn't stay here.

  • Golden Time

No stars for me this place is nasty disgusting and so rude the shower had private hair still all in it dresser drawers are broken apart everything was out of place. I will never stay here anymore and I would never recommend anyone here they need to shut this whole place down

  • junior Aquino

The one security guard that's works there the Hispanic one, he makes a person want to whoop is ass because he walks maddogging people like he's Mr, Tuff guy. He should be careful or you might be there one day and catch him getting his ass handed to him! Real talk!!! …

  • Maria Luisa

I was so scared when I arrived because of the residents of the hotel. Everyone was really shady and scary. The window glass in my room was broken, with big shards being left over on the windowpane. The door of the room had signs that it was … Read more on

  • Archie Alvarado

Decent place at a great price. My only complaint is only one small pillow per person, so bring your own if it matters. Clean and comfortable. Little kitchenette is awesome for the price. Super hot water when you want to shower. Staff is friendly.

  • Martin Nevoranek

Quality of that place will deserve just one star. But Im giving one star more because that place was cheap, really cheap comparing to the others. They can have few decent rooms but lot of them are in really bad conditions. Roaches everywhere !

  • Glen Williams

Had my hotel room robbed while out at work. Room service cleaned my room not one time had to go to a different hotel the first night because they gave away our reservations and had little stuff come up missing from the room almost every night

  • Irum Nadeem

Would not recommend staying here. Room looked nice unless you see details. I checkin the night I came into town with my family and dad and uncle made the reservation before. The toilet did not flush properly and looked like it was about to

  • Jazmin Thomas

The first room my kids and I stayed in looked like a fight happened I'm there hole punched in the door the toilet missing pieces. So they moved to a new room that had roaches I did not stay another day amd I did not get all my money back

  • Ivan Fernandez

I took my woman here by mistake I’m surprised I wasn’t dumped on the spot. Disgusting, atrocious, putrid, bug ridden dump of a hotel and room. Could not stand to be there for more than a couple of hours. I would have preferred to sleep

  • Crystal Amaya

Worst experiance ever. While my family an i were there for one night we had discovered that our room had roaches, all over the restroom. I notified the front desk an they seemed that they didn't even care. I recommend not staying there.

  • Troy Lizardo

This place is very quite they have security at night new management is doing great changes in this place and his name is Kellen bean Front desk is very friendly and maintaince always keeping the property clean... I recommend this place

  • Darius McNeal

Good deals, staff are very considerate of payment and do their best to work with you. For the most part. Its worth what their charging compared to other places such as motel 6, travel lodge, budget suites, 4rentweekly etc.

  • gina m

Under new ownership, staff is still nice, they take care of you during your stay with house cleaning weekly, maintenance and any issues that come up. I really enjoy the staff thus far. Been here a Lil over 2 months now.

  • Love Life

Staff is Not friendly, kitchen has no pots, pans, plated nothing. Lots of people living there, Trash everywhere, maid service left my room open which was scary, key cards didn't always work, not the best place to stay.

  • Micah Yazzie

In the year 2015 I stayed at crosslands motel for a few weeks. I picked mail no problem. They had free WiFi. I paid my bill and enjoyed a clean shower and ac. I took care of everything in my room the best way l could.

  • Ronny Rodriquez

Decent room. No bugs like at some other places I've been to. Friendly staff with excellent customer service. Great price/value. Other motels in the area are charging between $70-$100 more over the weekend.

  • Evone Richardson

Horrible place to stay! I would not recommend it. The area is not good at all. The rooms were dirty and the air conditioner did not work properly. It's sad when being outside is cooler then your room.

  • Ebbin Jones

Room as gross, killed 5 roaches in 10 minutes, hairs all around bathroom and bed, food crumbs on/inside refrigerator and microwave, concert in the next room. No TV remote. No towels. AVOID THIS PLACE.

  • Paulette Dains

Rooms were dirty and very little amenities. It was very noisy at night with people being drunk and loud. Had to switch rooms because plumbing was bad in first. Would not recommend this place at all.

  • Anthony Alvarez

Fan in first room didn't work, was moved into a room that smelled strongly of pet odors. Was locked out of room because the batteries in door lock died. But property is quiet and ac is really cold.

  • Eleven TwentyOne

I stayed here on a business trip and I must say , the stay was great , you might see a couple of drug addicts but they don't bother you at all . Very quite , and the office staff is very polite !

  • Samantha Johnson (SheDevil)

I love this place. It's very clean. The lady's that work in the office are do sweet. Always have a smile on there beautiful faces. I like this place do much don't think ill leave just yet..

  • Joanna Lyons

When we went to look at 2 units they smelled like cigarettes and my husband has breathing problems. The front desk lady Vicky was a sweetheart. I would advise you look at the rooms first.

  • ToniRae Roach

Overall , I thought the motel room was nice. The kitchen was just enough to cook and enjoy a meal. Ive stayed at this motel many times, and ill continue to come back.. Thanks Crosslands

  • Troy Gober

The room was nice but the table was missing. The T V. didn't work right at first. The nurses were awesome. There was alot of misunderstandings with the staff. This created confusion.

  • Dakota Davis

A very great place to stay a week or two. After awhile it gets on the expensive side but for a week or two its perfect and clean with a big tv. Erin up front is sweet and helpful.

  • Diana Monaghan

Filthy ,no pillows ice or cups. Gross smell. Bedding filthy. Want a refund. Dangerous loud don't want to touch anything Bedding gross rude staff I want a refund refundtech, V8

  • Michael Aldrich

Tried to book a room Friday evening and was turned away because I "needed to book a reservation before I showed up". Seriously?... and for the record they had available rooms.

  • Andres Martinez

I was only at Crossland-West Phoenix briefly for a business matter. But property is clean. Very private. And best of all,it is a NO-TOW ZONE. Unless, your getting Repo'd lol

  • Abraham Lopez

I love it here, the staff is friendly and my room is clean my nly complaint is on Google maps the location that comes up is incorrect otherwise I would have given 5☆'s

  • Isabel Soto

  • Liz Seybold

The service was good the room was not clean and no wash clothes 1 hand towel and 1 body towel for 2 of us. The a/c didn't work and they said they couldn't do anything.

  • Marie Logsdon

This hotel is a good family hotel to stay weekly. The rooms are s good size and have small kitchen. I would definitely stay again and recomend they know to stay also.

  • Chan Graves

Wasn't attracted to the place. Little run down looking. Toliet was leaking. Towels were thin. Carpet is dirty. But for the low price I guess could do for one night.

  • David Flores

Asst. manager was very friendly. I had an issue with my room and she took care of my problem asap. Clean outside. I will stay there again when I'm back in town

  • mimi smith

Bad service, bad rooms, smell of cigarettes, black Light incates top sheets are not, changed out just the bottom ones housekeeper confirmed this. Steer clear.

  • Jleigha Mckinney
