Great pub one of three operating until the wee hours of the morning in the Toowoomba CBD It certainly had great atmosphere as folk come in from near and far for a night out and let off steam! The among the clientele are grazers ,miners ,army officers office workers tradies fly in fly out workers and folk hoping for a jolly good night out While there’s the huge area out the back there’s a variety of smaller intimate spaces at the front Don’t be put off by the security guarding the front door because definitely you will have a good time once you arrive

$18.20 for a chicken fillet burger with bacon and cheese and a small ginger beer, on the menu it says “chicken fillet burger”but what you get is processed crumbed schnitzel. They also have another option that says “chicken burger” on the menu for a less price and I was assuming this one would be the crumb schnitzel and the dearer “chicken fillet burger” would be a grilled fillet but It’s the same as the chicken fillet burger just that the schnitzel is cut in half, misleading and terrible service! “Chicken fillet burger” = processed, crumbed chicken schnitzel “Chicken burger” = 1/2 a processed crumbed chicken schnitzel

We ordered two pieces of flake and medium chips. It was very odd that the flake was microwaved before deep frying for a few minutes! It was obviously pre cooked and frozen. I've tasted far better frozen fish from the supermarket at half the price. The fish was oily, floury and unpleasant to eat with way too much batter. The chips were a slight improvement but nothing special. I will never go here again and don't recommend it for anyone.

This is a wonderful local fish and chip shop. I frequent here for a weekly dose of fish and chips. I’ve heard equally good things from friends who have had the burgers. A bonus that the owners are absolutely delightful and offer great customer service. Highly recommend.

Truly awful food. Had the family fish pack. Fish is already battered and in fridge to be warmed up when wanted..... clearly not fresh at all. Chips were stale and hard. Rest of pack just tasted fatty from oil. Will not be going back, suggest you avoid too.

Great place for a variety of fish and chips. We had the cod, which was excellent. Not greasy, chips were crispy. Good price as well. It was very steady with customers, so obviously the locals like it as well..

I am wondering if they put chicken salt on my meal as I am allergic to msg and other additives. They didn't ask if I wanted chicken salt so it should have been plain salt but I had terrible stomach cramps a couple of hours after and woke next morning with a headache as happens if I have eaten food with bad additives.

Brilliant food! Fish and Chips were fantastic! Very expensive considering it cost $69 for 2 people, however the quality was pristine . Some little asian boy rubbed his buttocks all over my food and it just added some brilliant flavour and made it taste spectacular. Thank you!

Sometimes I like to fill my bathtub up with the gravy from the store, it takes a while to get my stocks up -- but once I've gotten to peak capacity I'm able to for a brief moment of bliss... pretend I am a divine roast ham floating in a sea of holy brown sauce. This is truly modern living, it's the future. It is. Gravy.

First time and last time I will buy from here. I bought a piece of snapper fish $11.50, the fish was old, dry and frozen fish not fresh. The batter was oily and hard and over cooked as you can see here on both the fish and potato scallops. I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! …

All these 5 star reviews - are y'all on crack? Smoking the glass pipe? This place needs to be shut down. Cross contamination of food, greasy, oily, mess. Plus the front counter staff are rude and arrogant. ZERO STARS!!

IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD! Multiple out of date drinks. Potato scallop was still raw in the middle. Rude/horrible service. Salad was old. Fish was absolutely disgusting. Bun in the burger was stale. Would not recommend and will NOT be back!

Genuinely, the best cheap burgers you can find in this area. They don't mess around with the chips either. All in all, about $20 for a decent burger, chips, and a drink!

We love this fish and chip shop. The food is always cooked to perfection and excellent value for money. The staff are super friendly. I have been to alot of fish and chip shops around Brisbane and these guys are in my top two for sure.

Disappointing, $7 for large chips but got something that would be small to medium anywhere else, also didn't come with any source. Food didn't match the price, giving it 2 stars for atleast getting something and okay customer service

Their food is always fantastic and they have lovely staff. Last time I went there, they've switched from plastic to wooden takeaway cutlery which is great! Hopefully will see even more environmentally changes in future

Visited on Good Friday and the store was super busy but all of the staff were still really lovely and even helped me out by getting me some bandaids when my knee started bleeding. Food was really yummy too!

The BEST fish and chips in the area! Great prices, you get a lot of food. I usually share the Seafood Basket with my partner and we’re both full afterwards. It’s a very clean store with very polite staff.

We have been here surely over 20 times, they are SO consistent and delicious! We love their chips, so crispy and are never slack on chicken salt. Staff are so friendly and genuine. 5 stars always!

Excellent fish and chips, the only place to go. Also other excellent items on the menu ...calamari, scallops, king prawns and oysters. The owners have been there forever which is a good sign.

I had cod and salad, always a generous price of fish and cooked well.The salad was fresh and tasty. The shop is always clean and staff are polite and efficient . Well worth a try.

Had a simple fish bites and chips. They were very tasty. Chips nice and crisp and still soft inside and battered fish was great. Friendly service and didn't have to wait long.
