"If I could 0 stars I would !!!! You can't park on the street over night in winter because of snow removal, however the snow removal isn't done during those times, its done in the middle of the day when people are allowed to park on the street amd simce most work from home they can't just go out and move their cars when Dorval wants them to"
"Had to go to urban planning to get a permit for a sump pump"
"Great folks here, everyone is very nice and explain everything to you very clearly"

If I could 0 stars I would !!!! You can't park on the street over night in winter because of snow removal, however the snow removal isn't done during those times, its done in the middle of the day when people are allowed to park on the street amd simce most work from home they can't just go out and move their cars when Dorval wants them to. Not only that, half the snow doesn't get cleared because the city removal guys spend half their day parked outside the Tim Hortons. The municipal parking is 24 hours only, so in the winter whether the sidewalks are covered in snow or ice you MUST risk walking to the parking lot to move your car. But moving it for an hour, with a gas bill as proof, doesn't count because you'll still end up getting a ticket. Unless you're the city car, then you can park from Friday to Monday at the Pine Beach parking lot without repercussions. The construction in Dorval is absolutely unacceptable. I have been living here all of 5 years and every summer for the last 5 years there has been construction. This construction goes on for the entire summer, not just a week or 2, but the ENTIRE summer. Half our roads are closed so, before covid, our guests could hardly find parking because of the No Parking signs that were put up and kept up on weekends when THERE IS NO CONSTRUCTION. I can't even open my windows to enjoy a summer breeze because the dust that accumulates in my house, from YOUR construction, is disgusting. My entire patio is covered in dust, i can wash everything and not even 1 minute later its full of dust again. The noise pollution coming from your construction is insane, 5 days a week, morning to night its trucks and hammers and banging and hammering and drilling. UNACCEPTABLE!!! Dorval's whole mantra is we care about our people, and the environment in which they live. It goes above and beyond to ensure it provides the best quality of life. Yeah some quality of life you're providing, ensuring your residents listen to construction all summer long, have them breathing in dust all summer long from your construction, have every inch of their house and yards covered in dust all summer long, not having them be able to enjoy a quiet peaceful summer, or have their windows open without having dust and noise pollution fill their homes. When people are looking to move and want to come to the west island I tell them to stay far away from Dorval!!! I always thought dorval would be a nice, quiet place to live but I could not have been more wrong!!!
Had to go to urban planning to get a permit for a sump pump. The city will have to install a pipe that would lead water to the sewers. Ms. Tremblay the receptionist was very kind and professional. I should have the permit within 10 days. Excellent customer service
Great folks here, everyone is very nice and explain everything to you very clearly. A wonderful rep for the city of Dorval.
