Update: 22/2/22. Just had a call from Jamie Sicluna who went through my issues that I had encountered, he was very apologetic and professional in his explanation on my situation. Made no excuses but apologized for timing I asked a few questions, promptly answered and thoroughly explained things to me. Based on Jamie's call I shall be dealing with Altona North office once more. *****had 2 years of returns business with this branch after I sacked the moonee ponds branch. for 2 years the office of altona have been 'meaning to contact the ATO' to find out why I have a PAYG flag against my account. H n R Altona North still have not done this. I cant rate as zero as not possible*****

This particular office did not lodge my tax return for almost 3 weeks, they lodged it only after I queried and checked with the ATO. Originally H&R Block offered only 50% discount off next years fee, then after further emails they offered a 50% refund only and said that their company satisfaction guarantee money policy does not apply in this case. I won’t be returning here and neither will my other friends and family members who use them. Well done Mark and district manager Jamie, you lost $2500 worth of yearly business on account of your lacking customer service skills.

Walked in with 3 yrs tax returns and a question about HECS debt and couldnt get any help. All inquiries were met with deflection. Clearly they were too busy. With 1 other customer. Attitude was as though I was wasting their time.

Everything with my experience went well: Mark asked me relevant questions to determine what I could claim for and then he told me how to expect as a refund (I received what he said I should get).

Terrible experience with them, still waiting to get a call back to lodge my claim. I've sent them all the files as requested. Would not bother with them. Will be reporting this.

For some reason they delay the process much longer than it needs to be. It's been 4 weeks since our meeting, and still nothing? Certainly won't be returning next year.

Past financial year they lost my application. I received the tax back by the end of the year. Didn't even bother to offer a refund. Never going back.
