I phoned this service at 7.30am and was given the opportunity to bring my car in free of charge to check my engine light indicator. The mechanic plugged it into the computer and diagnosed the issue free of charge. He resolved my issue and did not charge me a cent. I was quoted up to $66-$120 for this same service by five other mechanics this morning. I just want to say business people like this are rare. When so many people in the world are choosing to compete with each other, choosing greed and money, this man chose kindness. Thank you so much. You made my day. More importantly, I learnt something from you and your team of workers who all seem to have a similar vibration and vibe to you. I too will be kinder from now on. I had a great experience with Grimshaw Automotive. Shane did a RWC for my car at quite short notice and then gave me a quote and a detailed rundown of all the necessary repairs. He charged me an incredibly reasonable price for a long list of repairs and parts. I recommend this garage, they are friendly and accommodating and will honestly explain how they've arrived at the total price for their excellent work. After talking through the required repairs and the RWC with Shane, I trusted him to do the right thing by me. His integrity and helpfulness is very refreshing in a competitive industry. Had the router and break pads done of my mums car back and front (my old car) and never ever had any problems with them prior to the owner Shane touching them. After getting the car back it made a horrible horrendous noise that sounded like metal on metal but worse, took back to shane he "apparently " Couldn't hear anything yet everyone that has been in the car even another mechanic said it doesn't sound right. Shane is a lier and money hungry. DO NOT GO HERE! he also made my mother and i out to be liers and got aggressive and rude over the phone to us. Terrible service and disgusting behaviour.

Recently, I purchased a second hand car that required a road worthy and a number of repairs in order to be safe and ready for driving. I found the mechanics at Grimshaw automotive to be highly efficient and helpful in sourcing parts needed quickly and installing them so that the car was ready within a certain time frame. Their pricing was reasonable and fair and it was obvious they have a great deal of experience and knowledge with all different makes of cars. I would recommend these mechanics for road worthy preparation and general repair work. Thanks.

Friendly staff however after going to them for services/RWC over several years I noticed a trend of something in my car usually becoming faulty shortly after seeing them. Doesn't seem to be coincidence anymore. Perhaps they are taking advantage of the fact I have no technical knowledge of cars so more mechanically savvy people may have a better experience. Regret going to them and will find a new mechanic from now on.

Booked a last minute appointment to have my motorbike checked for a RWC, and was very impressed by the professional turnaround and homely service. The guys were extremely accommodating, and quite affordable (~$200 for a RWC, lower than a few other quotes I received around the eastern suburbs). All it took was a chat to see how many years of experience they had under their belts. Will definitely visit again.

I pulled into his driveway and he backed into my car, he realised what he done and told me i drove into him...Shane (aka the owner) was very rude and told me to get off his property, till this day he wont own up to his mistake, i would recommend to stay away if u dont what ur car damaged

Shane repaired our car within 1 day as it was Easter Holiday week and no repairers were open for the entire week and our RWC was expiring 2 days after the holidays. We got the RWC the same day, very friendly and amazing work!
