On Saturday, June 23rd I arrived to Greystone Pub with eight of my friends during the hours of 2:42PM – 4:02PM to celebrate our friend – the bride-to-be. This was a spot she was excited to visit and try the Capri Stones. When we arrived we were promptly seated as it was very slow in the restaurant. It appeared there was a private party in the back area and 6-8 guests at the bar watching the World Cup. The first waitress to greet us and take our water / drink order was very nice. Unfortunately, that was the last time we got to see her. Our drinks took long but we were perfectly fine with it. We were relaxing and enjoying our time together. When we got our drinks, they were delicious; however, the bartender immediately displayed an attitude with our first encounter. We were a little perplexed considering our first waitress encounter was so pleasant, and we had just gotten there. None of us complained or displayed any sign of frustration. We were all happy and in good spirit. When the bartender finally came back to the table, we decided to order. The whole time we ordered, she had an attitude in her voice and her actions. She showed frustration having to answer a question one girl had about a menu item. Again, we couldn’t understand what we did wrong! So, we continued to keep a positive attitude with each encounter. On two occasions, one of our girls facing the bar witnessed the bartender calling us “B**ches” to other guests (at which they would turn to look at us). At one point, the bartender took my water glass from the table and never brought it back. When I requested water with my food, she scoffed and rolled her eyes. She rolled her eyes multiple times through our time there. When we were trying to pay, we asked if it would help her for us to pay at the bar. She answered, “Not at this point!” with an attitude. I have worked in the restaurant / service industry for 20+ years as a hostess, bartender, server, and a cook so I always treat my servers with respect and kindness. The other girls with me are also in the service industry so we understand why it can sometimes take longer than expected for food and drinks, but the way we were treated was unmerited. We did tip the bartender. The food was good but not enough to make me want to go back for that sort of service!

Great location and nice enough people at first. Scene was nice and when other guests spilled drinks on the dance floor and employees walked past doing nothing my group did your job for you. My group stayed for about an hour if that because you cut me and my ENTIRE group off from drinking when only 2 out of the 7 of us were at the bar. Didnt spend more than 150 on drinks and explicitly told both bar tenders that i didnt wanna go over 200 and when i get the card charge notification its 460 dollars. Greystone is run by thieves and shmucks dont go here for anything. Greasy food and as much as i love meat my gf doesnt so thanks for putting chicken in her green only salad you communists.

My husband & I went in and sat down and there were 2 couples at a table, and 1 lady at a table by herself then 4 people at the bar. We got a beer and a sweet tea pretty fast but waited 30 minutes and watched the 1 waitress on duty get fussed at by several customers for waiting too long and 1 left pretty frustrated! Never had our order taken and finally got up and left after paying $5.25 and getting to drink 1/2 a glass of my tea! Absolutely ridiculous to not have more help in there when I'm sure people are a lot Ted a certain amount of time to eat lunch! Unfortunately we won't ever know if the food is any good because we won't go back!!!

Amazing food (highly recommend the gyro with grilled onions). Amazing space inside and out. Will definitely be back to try other items in their menu. My only complaint is that it's an old establishment (1947) and they advertise it, so I was hoping for a place with a historic feel and patina but was greeted with excessively loud house music on a slow Saturday night. It just didn't match. There were some cool old pictures on the wall that were fun to look at and the staff is beyond friendly. Aside from the music, this place is amazing and can't wait to come back.

Greystone is by far my favorite bar. It had a great neighborhood feel, the bartenders are so nice and fun to talk to and they take the time to learn your name and order, and the food is delicious. In addition they are always willing to accommodate whatever you want on the TVs. Honestly I halfway want to leave a terrible review so people don't swamp the place and ruin it. But anything I can do to promote them I'm happy to do! Definitely come here if you want an enjoyable, low-key, experience.

OMG! I can't speak highly enough about the food here. The drinks were good too. The food was excellent. I saw someone else had ordered the Mac & Cheese and it looked so good I had to try it. It tasted like it came from my grandmother's kitchen. The Garlic Parmesan chicken was really delicious. I went during lunch hour and they had a decent crowd but not overcrowded. It was very confortable and they were very fast and considerate of our time.

  • Ceilia Wolfe

Megan was working tonight when I went in at 10:40 PM. I work late and have meetings. I went in when the kitchen was already closed 40 minutes. However, the guys working prepared an excellent Greek meal that is always delicious! I am not far from them and am amazed they don't have way more traffic going in and out. I honestly love this place! Thank you, Megan and kitchen staff! I had absolutely nothing in the fringe ; )

I've never had a meal here that wasn't amazing. Truly, cannot rave enough about the food. Greystone has a relaxed atmosphere and its decor really speaks to the history it's seen. One of the oldest bars in Charlotte - as a native, Greystone inspires me to reminisce. Who else remembers what Charlotte was before corporate headquarters, gentrification and the light rail? Going here could jog your memory.

  • Andrew Osbirn

I'm all about supporting local businesses but I think they need to reevaluate their menu. We had a side salad with balsamic dressing and the dressing tasted like old cough syrup. The sides with our chewy grilled chicken breast were cold. This seems like a good drinking place only. Food was not good at all. Service was good. Not a bad place, I just wouldn't go there for food.

  • Justin Cook

Great bar and grill. Welcoming atmosphere with good drink prices and fresh tasty Mediterranean food. Some people are turned off because Greystone doesn't really look like a bar from the outside. Who goes to a bar because of what it looks like on the outside? That's someone I'm not interested in having a drink with. Anyways, check this place out. You won't be sorry.

  • Todd Lytle

I went in and got food to go. Sat at the bar, good, attentive service, very reasonable prices, and great food! We had the Baked Spaghetti & the Stuffed Pepper. Both of these entrees were fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone. Again, I didn't have any problems with the service, but didn't sit anywhere other than the bar, and they weren't busy at all.

  • Allison Ward

Gotta love outdoor seating!! Last week we stopped at #GreystonePub to drink b merry w/Social Disturbance! Playin' led zepp, kings of leon-good tunes! Full lick license, I had a cold brew coffee w/Baileys (hot coffee not on menu, but coulda used it this night! Still O So cool out there still, yeah! See social Disturbance @ #CometGrill this Sunday

  • Kaitlin Lopez

Stumbled into this place after work one day. Not disappointed. Great atmosphere, great patrons, great staff. I’ve gotten the nachos and Andy’s heavyweight hoagie. Both were really great! Prices are great too! This has become a regular spot for me and I look forward to coming for some Miami Hurricane football games!

  • Darnell Brame

Pretty good spot, came in on a Saturday during world cup. Service was excellent by the waitresses, prompt with drinks and food. Helpful with understand and helping make choices with food. Prices are very reasonable. Tried two capri stones and worth the price. Would definitely come back for the salad again.

  • John Lowe

I come to greystone alot and everything on the menu is great.......its a fun neighborhood bar to hang at and the prices are low.....the beer on average is .75cents cheaper than any comparable bar.....I would recommend that anyone living in southend def should check this place out.

  • Jimmy B

The food here is pretty good. They used to have a nice breakfast and discontinued the morning hours. I can't seem to get over the Heinz Ketchup bottles refilled with watered down or a knockoff, runny, ketchup. This sounds weird but try it for yourself and see what I am saying.

  • Brandon Hartsell

Great place to eat a quick bite for lunch. Some of the best gyros and burgers around. Good selection of brews. Staff is courteous. Restaurant is clean and orderly. Restrooms are also very clean and orderly. If your in the area stop in and check it out. It will not disappoint.

  • Megan Hunstad

Literally my new favorite bar in charlotte! How have I only just discovered this place?! They have a dog park, adult Capri suns, the best Greek food, and it’s super close to my apartment. Great vibes outside, and the best place to watch the panthers game with your dog!!

  • Tanner Lawson

Ordered food, waited an hour food never came... went to bar and waited 20 minutes to even get the bartenders attention and she said she couldn’t find me and I was standing right in front of her for 20 minutes.... Horrible spot if you want any kind of service lol.

  • Anna Stefanelli

Service needs to improve, more attention to detail on wait staff when placing orders, I had to help the waitress by getting coffee cups and pour coffee for my group, no biscuits at 12:00pm substitutions were given. Food was good and budget savvy.

  • van Son

We walked in right after around 12ish in the day and theyvwere open, very welcoming. We were literally the only patrons thru our entire visit. I had a gin and coke with a chicken pita wrap and he had a beef burger with sweet potatoes. The

Been here a couple of times because it's nearby. Atmosphere seems like they're about to go out of business. There is a lot of random junk in the larger room. Service was good and food was okay. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't go back.

  • Mark Forbis

Charlotte dining since the late 50s. Has undergone several facelifts and ownership changes since the original days. More of a sports bar oriented atmosphere now but you can still grab a quick bite. Sandwiches, appetizers, Etc.

  • Kathryn

Love this spot! Great local gem, daily deals on drinks and they have ping pong in the back! Definitely sit outside on their patio if the weather is nice. I did the create your own bowl for dinner and thought it was delicious.

  • michael valle

Wings were delicious! Friendly and unpretentious staff. They had plenty of tv's and even a decent pool table. Decent liquor and beer selection that included nice whiskeys and bourbons. Great place to make your "local".

  • Heather Cazarín

We happened across this place and were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and the service was great. The Greek nachos were a really fun way to try an old favorite. This place is definitely worth stopping in!

  • De Jack

Ok. Just ordered from here. For probably the 3rd time. long story short the proof is in the photo. This is DISGUSTING. WE ARE ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS AND DISGUSTED AND DEMAND OUR MONEY BACK. Like this is just gross.

  • Anthony Hurt

Greystone pub and everything over there is terrible from the restaurant to the subway. If I could rate them negative status I would. Greystone restaurant served me with hair in my roast beef sandwich....

  • Art P

I got a "make your own bowl"with so spicy sauce and my buddy got chicken parm...both were excellent. The fries are not good...not sure how you screw up fries but they did. I'll be back there for sure

  • Jason Normoyle

Best breakfast around! Traditional greek restaurant, and they have added a bar in the last few years but the breakfast remains down home southern cooking at its finest! Would highly recommend.

  • Julie Sati

Lauren is great!! Came in Sunday to watch the Panthers game and she was very attentive and funny. The wings and good and the Greek food is AMAZING!! Will definitely best back... $4 FIREBALL!!

  • James Miller (CoolGiant92)

The blonde bartender that was working the night I went was rude. Made the drink I ordered incorrectly and when I asked for it to be fixed said that I was wrong. 0/5 stars if I could.

  • Patrick Fox
