I would give absolutely NO stars but they don't give that option. I boarded my 1rst Greyhound bus in Temecula California (disaster) then (I'm actually telling the very very short story of my trip from California to Ohio) as I was waiting way more hours than I was supposed to at the bus terminal in Phoenix Arizona it was even way worse than Temecula, I was lied to by Employees (Rocky was one that lied) there were drugs (pot and eadibles) people/passengers were smoking and eating while waiting to depart, actually every stop and bus Station people/passengers were smoking pot also smoking pot ON the buses while we were traveling on the road even after (only a couple of bus drivers) announced no smoking pot or drinking alcohol ON bus or they will be kicked off the bus) but EVERY bus except the bus that left from Temecula to San Bernadino were all filled with people smoking pot on the buses in route and the bus drivers NEVER kicked any of them off and I know the bus drivers smelled the aroma of the pot because it was always very strong smelling as we traveled. At every stop and at every bus station passengers would smoke pot (not only on the buses as we traveled) when we got off every time we would stop to eat or just have a little break. I will NEVER ride with Greyhound bus line ever again!!!!! I was traveling alone and so very scared and stressed out. It is obviously unsafe to travel with this Bus Line because of the drug use on and off the buses also come to find out, (truth be told from the SUPERVISOR in the FLAGSTAFF bus Station, the only employee working this Station) told me and other passengers whom had asked/complained about the reasons why the Phoenix bus was almost 6 hours late , he said that the bus that was supposed to pick us up (me and several other passengers coming from Phoenix into this FLAGSTAFF bus Station) was stopped at a check point and the police found 3 pounds of cocaine in an Amazon packaged box in the luggage area under that bus. If I would have known Greyhound allows drugs and drug use on their buses I would have NEVER traveled and risked my life with this bus company . I left on January 9,2021 was supposed to get to Dayton Ohio on the 11th of January 2021 but because of the drug bust on the Phoenix bus I didn't get to Ohio until the 12th of January 2021. I called (customer service) for a refund while at the Phoenix bus station with no resolution and they didn't care really so I've been trying still to this day, January 22,2021, to get a full refund with obviously no resolutions to all of my issues in phone complaints and in emails also written letters so who knows maybe I'll just have to hire an attorney to take them to court because of putting my life in danger and putting me through so much and obviously they do not care about anything (especially drug related issues on their buses) so that is my next step if I still get this issue among other things they did and put me through swept under the rug. I'm furious that someone/company that has control over passengers lives would do and be something totally opposite in which they say they are. To me the Greyhound Bus Lines are drug traffickers and don't give a hoot who's on their buses as long as they get their precious money. NEVER riding Greyhound again, ...Theresa
It was nice out there weather wise. Bus there outside waiting area smelled like urine and homeless. If they can hire a outside security. They need to hire someone to clean up that bad smell outside. Or reduce you Greyhound bus tickets. I'm serious you can't even breath fresh air nor get anything from the vending machines cause it smells like they urine on those as well. Come Greyhound bus station in San Diego stop with the mess and get started cleaning. Just horrible and bad I couldn't wait for the bus to come and get me away from there. CLEAN UP AND STOP MAKIG US SMELL THAT MESS. SECURITY NEEDS TO FOCUS ON WHO'S PISSING AROUND THE PLACE. UNLESS ITS THEM .
Be carefull down here. Alot if homeless and some with mental illness. San Diego was just give around $45,000,000 to help the homeless. Seems to me that money was spent on the people that are supposed to help the homeless. Fourty five million dollars is alot of money. You would think that more than a small handful of 'token" media homeless would have been helped. I believe I could have done a much better job. Cant even see a difference. The more things change the more they stay the same. In my opinion the people who received the money should have to give a full accounting. They should be out on the streets helping the people that want help.
I had been robbed at washington station MTS trolley station. My greyhound ticket was in my bag that got taken. I went to this station and told them what had happened. They said come back tomorrow when your bus is scheduled to leave and if someone tries to use the ticket I'll get it back or if this doesn't happen they'll print me a new ticket free of charge. I went there an hour before my bus was scheduled to leave and the supervisor lady just went ahead and cut me a new ticket. Very helpful lady didn't catch her name but she's a little hispanic lady with reddish brown hair. She was awesome.
Hard to find. Absolutely horrible place no parking. I couldn't hear anything they were saying to me thru the glass partition. Not a good place to be for any amount of time the cops are everywhere, homeless people sleeping in the streets crowing the sidewalk, someone tried to grab me. I'd rather drive my vehicle the 200 miles next time or however far I need to get then have to use this greyhound terminal ever again. I wish that they would have left the terminal where it was down by Horton plaza years ago.
Despite it being almost three in the morning the guard here was very welcoming and informative. The area was small but clean, the drink and snack machines were all out of order but that didn't stop the same gentleman from helping me with a large cup of cold water. I only wish the rest of my trip with greyhound was as pleasant.
Don't use grayhound! Unless you have no other choice! There are others bus's you can use!People fighting right across the street one guy was chasing the other with a 3 foot steel pipe, he cought up to him and started beating him then some other guys jumped in and took the pipe from him and beat him down welcom to San Diego!
Please be careful with this bus terminal. I came early 15 min before departure but the bus left already. And just say give a refund but I refuse and ask next bus which is need to wait another 2 hours what the waste my time at stinky places and by around homeless camping. This place really bad smell and scary.
No place that isn't elbow to elbow. The security guard (woman on 09/21 at noon) was the most rudest and disrespectful person I have ever came in contact with in any situation in my whole life. I have her name written down but not on have when I'm writing this. Do I'll post an update with that info.
One cancelled bus because of no driver, another bus running late, vending machines that keep your Cheetos, and because of it, the rest were unplugged. No updates from the employees about the status of the bus. You better cross to Tijuana and get a bus from there.
It's an outdoor bus terminal. It is covered and there is a restroom to use once you check in. It is right next to the trolley station too and within walking distance of Petco Stadium and hotels. My first time through San Diego on the bus. Very good experience.
No complaints the coolest greyhound station in Cali right next to the beach came here for early morning ride security man was so cool to talk to. Amazing experience best place to catch a greyhound. It is cheaper to take the train from LA to San Diego.
1st time using Greyhound and it will be the last I am sure. I was supposed to be on the 7:30 am bus, it is 12:38 pm and I still can’t get in. 1st bus was cancelled and the 2nd one is already 2 hrs delayed. No info on the website, worse SERVICE EVER!
Don’t ever purchase tickets greyhound ❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❌ I recently got sick so I handed cancel my ticket they stole my money no refund nothing I spent $153 they wanted charge me extra money they wanted charge me double $135 I don’t recommend
I've avoided taking Greyhound buses for years due to the prices, but I recently had to travel from San Diego to Long Beach and private transportation options are limited in that area. The Greyhound station I departed from is smack in the
It was terrible. Had to walk through a whole bunch of homeless people and tents! It felt very unsafe. It was just a very shady area and there was absolutely no parking!!! There was no indoor bathrooms for use and everything was outside
It was between a ghetto section and homeless encampments like crazy. Not even 5 minutes after we got off the bus there was already police looking for somebody who just shot up a place nearby with helicopters and stuff going everywhere.
The smell of urine while waiting in the seating area is kinda gross but with all the homeless around how do you not have that smell. Staff is friendly but greyhound can step up is efforts on maintaining the space around its property.
Had a terrible experience! First driver scanned the wrong ticket and from there on it was a nightmare going and returning. Instead of returning at 7:30pm, I got back @ 2:45am the following day. I think I will fly next time.
Restrooms are minimally kept clean, just something to keep in mind about. There are couple of outlets that function electrically, however, the outlet doesn’t hold for charging. These are two areas that need improvement
If you are coming to this place just remember you have to either have purchased a ticket & have you E-ticket via email. Or you have to purchase your tickets online this office is rarely open to my knowledge.
The bus terminal was closed by the time I arrived in San Diego. But the staff that was on the clock we're very courteous and helpful with directions for me to get to my final destination in San Diego.
The bus was 40 minutes late and the driver was rude and not professional. Driving as if he were participating in the Indy 500 using foul language and blowing his horn excessively.what a wild ride.
This location is now closed down!!! The website and Google have not reflected this change! This location was closed down as of the week beginning or shortly thereafter Sunday July 9th 2023!
Don't arrive more then 2 hours ahead of you're Time because they will make you wait outside the bus Area , and They will not allow you to use their restroom unless You Leave in 2 hours .
There services in san ysidro is terrible, the schedule ride when they don't even have the bus to do it , 1hr late bus driver lied to me an other , don't ever us gray hound in san diego
Is been while. But after see they lady with Yellow vest yell to old lady. With can make me upset. Need to update. And close and more. Comfortable chair’s and also to charge our phones.
Clean Terminal, Security On Site , Reasonable Pricing.Plenty Of Parking. (Parking Lots) I would not leave your car or valuables over night. Walking Distance to the MTS Trolley or Bus.
The relocation of this service from downtown San Diego to its current location is rather puzzling; but other than that, the customer service they provide is commendable.
America has the worst public transportation. arrived at 3:20pm for the 3:35pm trip. the bus left at 3pm ..... this would never happen in other "1st world" countries.
I think this was Santa Ana stop coming back from San Diego heading to Las Vegas. Great little town in-between Los Angeles Ca. And Close to Anaheim Ca. Happy Travels.
Everything was bad. The station, the bus and especially the driver. I can go on and on for. Save your sanity and use anything else even if it is more expensive.
Outdoor, Not that clean, staff seems to bring their problems, from home to work. Buses come and go late. Finally there is a small security problem.
No service last at night. Large homeless population surrounding property. Public transportation hub across-the street. No security 2:00AM - 5:00AM
Pretty shoddy with no place to go inside and little to no parking and streets that run in all kinds of crazy directions. More of a zero than a 1.
Very poor service Grayhound is not what it used to be , now the buses always late and they make you loose flights and it's very bad service
They ceiling could use a fixing, I was there while raining and there are so many leaks that you get as wet as if you were on the street!
Love the ride and scenery but only thing is when did greyhound start searching in your suitcases. This was in San Diego California.
It's the bus and you get the good with the bad.On my way back to Akron ohio spent winter here in San Diego California God bless all
I work security at this location; the staff is wonderful to work with. And they try very hard to please their customers.
Very practical, well located, but is surrounded by a lot of homeless people who seemed to be harmless, but who knows
bus was late from San Diego and missed connection at 6:10 passenger was smoking mariguana on board busv …
Not at this location any longer. Seems to be located in the Old Town Centre transit hub (as of July 2023).
Great experience at this bus station. But interesting area. Lots'a good to go with the bad here! :/ :D
I really like this place is right in the downtown of San Diego ,,,but too many homeless on this area
My entire trip aboard greyhound was wonderful. Everything went according yo plan. Thank you.
In an area with lots of homeless. Security on site. Didn't feel completely safe.
Not a problem and cozy enough for the few bus riders today
No Greyhound bus terminal. Only out houses.
